SDBS modified graphene was prepared by electrochemical method using Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) as electrolyte and graphite rod as electrode. The anode graphite rod was corroded and deposited at the bottom of the electrolyte solution. The obtained graphene was characterized by Atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR). AFM images indicated that most of the layers had the thickness of less than 2 nm, suggesting the fromation of single layer of graphene. The resulting graphene showed very good dispersion stability both in water and in organic s

Graphene has many excellent properties in mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, optical transparency and thermal conductivity. The basic unit of graphene is made of hexagonal ring of carbon shape. The production of graphene in large amounts can be done using conventional ways such as chemical vapour deposition (CVD). However, the cost production is very high due to high reaction temperature. Therefore, electrochemical exfoliation could become a promising method in future because of its simple, low cost and large-scale production. Electrochemical method is performed in the manner by con

Abstract:
Historically, a network of roadside sensors and cameras have been used to monitor freeway conditions. Although these systems are effective, they are typically not operational in and around work zones. Furthermore, it is often not financially viable to deploy in-road sensors and cameras in rural areas. Connected vehicle trajectory data has emerged as a viable source of data and provides a unique opportunity for monitoring freeways. This monograph describes how these connected vehicles can be used to directly measure queue lengths and travel times and this description is summarized in a graphica

Abstract:
Industrial soil contamination is frequently unearthed by transportation agencies during construction within the right-of-way. As a result, transportation agencies may experience construction delays. Soils co-contaminated with high-molecular-weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (HMW-PAHs) and metals are commonly encountered in Illinois and exhibit recalcitrance towards conventional treatment technologies. This issue is exacerbated in the fine-grained soils common to Illinois, where low-permeability and immense sorption capacity increase treatment complexity, cost, and duration. Contaminated
