Full textToday, all women in Sweden between the ages of 23 and 64 are regularly invited for a gynecological pap test. The purpose is to detect and treat cell changes at an early stage that otherwise could lead to cervical cancer. Although pap tests is the most important factor in the prevention of cervical cancer, approximately 17% fail to attend the controls offered to all adult women in Sweden. The aim of this report is therefore to encourage women between the ages of 19-30 to go through with their pap tests. This study thus examines how to increase knowledge about pap tests and how positive associations to pap test can be created through information graphics. Through a web survey and a text analysis of the existing invitation letter, the needs of the target group were mapped. This was formulated in a number of information objectives and then formed the basis for the content of the infographic. The content was then developed using theories of cognition, composition and design. These theories were also reinforced with three graphic analyzes to highlight strengths and weaknesses. In the design process, three concepts were developed, which were tested by a focus group and then produced a definitive concept. There we found that a combination of the three concepts was preferable. After a final evaluation in the form of a web survey, we found a number of aspects that should be taken into consideration for designing information graphics of pap tests, in order to increase knowledge and create positive associations.

Full textDen här uppsatsen handlar om lansering av mp3-böcker. Mp3-böcker har funnits på marknaden i ett antal år nu, men fortfarande är försäljningen inte särskilt imponerande i jämförelse med vanliga ljudböcker, och ännu mindre imponerande i jämförelse med tryckta böcker. Lennart Gustafssons lanseringsteorier har använts för att analysera branschens lansering, medan Jim Blythes och Eric Arnoulds m.fl. konsumentbeteendeteorier använts för att analysera behov, lärande, attityder och köpbeteende hos de av författarna utpekade presumtiva målgrupperna. Dessa fanns vara dels personer som lyssnar på mp3-musik, dels personer som redan lyssnar på ljudböcker. De empiriska data som använts i uppsatsen kommer från sekundära källor såsom artiklar, Temo-undersökningar och Internet, medan ett antal personer från företag i branschen intervjuades per telefon för att kunna ge en bild av denna. Vidare intervjuades ett antal personer från de två kundgrupperna angivna ovan, liksom ett antal personer som redan lyssnade på mp3-böcker. Analysen av det empiriska underlaget visade att branschens lansering varit begränsad och att de kundgrupper som författarna utpekade som presumtiva har branschen gjort små eller inga försök att nå. Dessutom existerar vissa strukturella problem i branschen beroende på relationen mellan förlag, producenter/distributörer och återförsäljare. Mp3-boken bedöms i dagsläget befinna sig i en klyfta, eller ett glapp vilket innebär att de teknikintresserade och de tidiga anammarna har börjat använda produkten, men inte den tidiga majoriteten. För den grupp som lyssnar på vanliga ljudböcker, tycks det som att de största hindren är bristande medvetenhet, ovana vid teknik samt negativ inställning till mp3-boken. Denna inställning verkar bottna i en föreställning om att mp3-boken är något för stressade unga människor. För den andra av våra målgrupper, de som lyssnar på mp3-musik, är det också bristande medvetenhet men kanske i ännu högre grad bristande intresse, och en ännu mer negativ attityd till mp3-böcker, helt enkelt därför att mp3-boken uppfattas som töntig.

Full textThis thesis is about privacy and the use of social media. The internet and social media has become a given part of our everyday lives. These social media services are free to use and are therefore usually financed via advertising that to a large extent is based on the information that the users have uploaded to these services when they use them, so-called behavioral targeting. The iceberg model that Facebook is based on means that users will not notice this when they interact with the service. This study aims to investigate if this could affect the user's privacy and what the users opinion about targeted advertising is. This was studied via a survey that was distributed on the internet to young adults in the Stockholm area. Three in-depth interviews were also conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the user’s behavior and reasoning. The survey resulted in 101 responses. The results is interpreted with Alan F. Westins theories about privacy attitudes among internet users. The users in this study have a pragmatic approach to privacy on the internet. They are therefore well aware of what is going on behind the scenes. The conclusion is that these young adults in the Stockholm area don’t run any risk of having their privacy violated by using free social networking-services.

Full textSyftet med uppsatsen har varit att beskriva projektledarens upplevelse av kundrelationen i kundorderprojekt. En kvalitativ intervjustudie har använts som undersökningsmetod där sju stycken projektledare har intervjuats. Analys av materialet har genomförts med en tematisk analys där fyra övergripande teman framkommit. Resultatet visade på kommunikationens betydelse av att vara tydlig, lyhörd och öppen samt en stor grad av anpassning för att bemöta kunden på bästa sätt. Upplevelsen präglades dessutom av en dynamik i relationen och där kundens förväntningar var betydelsefulla. Projektledarens egenskaper och erfarenhet spelade en stor roll i samtliga teman och visade sig vara viktiga i att etablera och bevara kundens förtroende.

Full textIt can be difficult to get a paid employment in television production, even if you have an education in the field. It can also be problematic for those who hire people with the skills, experience or work ethic that are required. Therefore, it is common to work as an unpaid runner or intern as a first step into working life. The majority of previous studies are based on the point of view of the trainee, often from a critical perspective, which opens up for argumentation about why the present study is needed. The purpose of the present study is therefore to contribute knowledge and increased understanding of unpaid labor in the Swedish television industry from two different perspectives; interns and employers. This to open up for discussion and increase the development opportunities for safer forms of employment. Qualitative method has been used and the result has been collected through eight semi structured interviews with interns and employers in television production in Stockholm. In order to get a wider perspective of how the phenomenon of unpaid work and internships is perceived by each selection group, the result has been analyzed by using the SWOT-model. The result shows that education almost does not matter at all when it comes to getting a paid employment in the television industry today. In order to get a paid employment, contacts, professional experience and personal chemistry are highly valued, which in turn can be difficult without having had an internship. On the other hand, education is one of the top priorities when it comes to getting an internship, which in turn often leads to the development of these three requirements or priorities.

Full textThis linguistic study aims to find, highlight and discuss how different genre features, discourses and identities are constructed in text based self-presentations of a customer club. The purpose is to see how these presentations are produced in the quest to recruit, retain and promote loyal customers. The study involves eight companies, whose customer clubs has been presented textually on each company's website. To find important features in the texts, the systemic-functional grammar is applied, and through interpersonal- and ideation text analyzes, the genre features and discourses can be identified. Parallels are also drawn to the genre features connection and creation in works of identity. A comparison to the advertising genre is also made. Based on this, a discussion of what linguistic methods customer clubs use to create a desirable identity both in themselves and their members, becomes a central part in the analysis. The result shows that there is a clear structure, in which customers are offered exclusive benefits and a coveted identity in exchange for enrolling in the club. In the presentations, members play a passive role that effortlessly gets or earns all the listed benefits while the customer clubs on the other hand, are portrayed as an active and resourceful distributor. A sales discourse also emerges here, which contrasts with a hidden consumption discourse. Negative aspects, such as costs and conditions, are made invisible and the presentation mainly focuses on describing the positive experience and all the benefits of being a member of the customer club.

Full textDet är framför allt de unga som drar sig till den nya gratistidningen och det är framför allt de som samtidigt i högst utsträckning lämnar de andra äldre gratistidningarna för den nya. 10-20 åringarna tenderar att bli mer nyfikna på kvällstidningarna och vi kan se att en ökad läsning av dessa uppstått. Detta bidrar till att den nya gratistidningen inte är något direkt hot mot en kvällstidning, snarare ett komplement, medan andra gratistidningar får känna av högre konkurrens.

Full textDet här examensarbetet utfördes från februari till mitten av april, våren 2010 på företaget Junebud. Jag arbetade efter hypotesen att en stark närvaro på sociala medier har en positiv effekt på aktiviteten på spelets hemsida samt för att få nya spelare att hitta till spelet. Spelet som marknadsfördes heter MilMo och är ett socialt massivt multiplayer spel för barn och ungdomar, som är gratis att spela. Om spelaren vill få tillgång till extra material kan han/hon betala en mindre summa pengar men något köptvång föreligger ej för att endast spela. För att genomföra marknadsföringen på de sociala medierna valdes fyra stycken nätverk på Internet ut; Facebook, Deviantart, MySpace och Youtube. Det som skapades var en fangrupp, en sida för konst, en profilsida och en kort film som visar spelet. Till detta kom även tre stycken nyhetsbrev, att strukturera upp och underhålla ett forum för spelare samt att emaila traditionella medier som nyhetssidor om spel och se vilken effekt det fick. Resultatet visar att många företag idag har en profil på sociala medier, men att de ofta bäst utgör ett komplement till produktens egen hemsida. Det som drev upp spelaraktiviteten mest var omnämnande på externa sidor om spel, samt det första nyhetsbrevet ut till spelarna

Full textIn this thesis investigated the usage of free mobile application among young people. Factors that influence the usage are highlighted and the influence of each factor is explained in comparison to the other influencing factors. The difference between the usage of free mobile applications and applications that cost is also emphasized due to this comparison.A qualitative study was done with two focus groups where the disjunctive factor for the two groups was income. The respondents discussed in groups different themes in the context mobile application usage. Examples of themes discussed are price, normative pressure and attitude. The results of the group interviews was interpreted and analyzed through an interpretative framework of business economic theories. The framework is largely based on a model of mobile application usage intention (Nysveen et al. 2005a), a theory of price search behavior (Darke et al. 1995) and a theory of ethical decision making (Tan 2002).Some of the contributing conclusions of the study are that the most prominent influent factors are price, normative pressure and perceived usefulness and that there exists a difference between theory and the real influencing factors of the respondents. This study and its conclusions contribute with new knowledge of consumer behavior and can be used for further research or as a source of inspiration for strategy elaboration.

Full textBackground Starting from September 2014, all children aged four to seven received their school lunches for free in the UK, to increase healthy eating and decrease obesity. Aim To investigate how school meals (especially school lunches) were depicted in different newspapers in the UK, from 2000 to 2014 when free school meals were introduced. Method Four newspapers in the UK between the years 2000 and 2014 were chosen for the study. In total, 616 texts were found from which 426 were analysed. A combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis of articles and letters to press was made in several steps. The texts were read and grouped into several main messages/contents. These were grouped into subjects and put together in timelines to show when and how much they were depicted in media during the studied years. Finally the subjects were grouped into topics, to show the main focus during the time period. Result During the years 2000 to 2014 several topics related to school meals were discussed. Among these were both positivity and negativity towards Jamie Oliver’s school food campaign, unhealthy packed lunches, the ban of packed lunches, ban of going outside schools on school breaks and the free school meals plan and free school meals for all children aged four to seven. The free school meals and texts related to economy were the most discussed during these years. In the study it was possible to see that Jamie Oliver have been a big part of the results of free school meals for the children between four and seven. Conclusion A long process could be seen progressing until free meals were given to all schoolchildren aged four to seven. There were regulations and actions towards better school meals and encouragements for children to choose the healthier foods. It is possible that people became more and more aware about health and school meals, and the relation between these over the years.

Full textMyasthenia Gravis is the most common autoimmune disease of the neuromuscular junction. It is due mostly to the production of antibodies against postsynaptic acetylcholine receptors or against the muscle-specific tyrosine kinase, which cause morphological and/or physiological changes in neuromuscular junction. Immunopathogenically, is a T cell dependent autoimmune process, mediated by B lymphocytes producing self-antibodies. The thymus seems to be implicated in the loss of tolerance to self-antigens, with subsequent development of autoimmunity, but many aspects of the pathogenesis of this disease remain to be deciphered. Currently, several therapeutic options are available: thymectomy, corticosteroids and other immunosuppressants, plasmapheresis and intravenous immunoglobulin, immunoadsorption, and thymectomy. However, the adverse event profile falls short, and not all patients respond to current treatment. The increasingly detailed knowledge of the pathophysiology and molecular basis of the immunopathogenesis of MG has allowed experimental treatments becoming more specific. New therapeutic modalities act in particular by inhibition of certain cytokines, inhibiting the complement system, handling of dendritic cells, induction of oral or nasal tolerance, antigenspecific immunoadsorption, acetylcholinesterase modulation and acetylcholine receptor blocking by non-pathogenic antibodies. The research progresses in an attempt to find an effective, safe treatment, with a favorable adverse event profile, specifically to correct disease-causing immune changes without compromising the rest of the immune system.

Deco Retro wascreated as a sub-brand to Kitsch Sweden AB whom needed a brand more fitting their currentand future line of products. Deco Retro was created to contribute with a stronger identity andadded value to the products which sells under the brand. The design work surrounding thebrand was first and foremost trying to communicate the idea, identity and value which hasbeen developed for the brand during this project. The design is also supposed to have addedaesthetically appealing grafic design. The result of this report is a worked through brandwith related visual identity, profil and numerous related artefacts, ready to get implemented.

Full textMyasthenia gravis (MG) is an antibody-mediated autoimmune disease. The autoantibodies are directed against the acetylcholine receptor (AChR). The importance TH17 cells have for MG pathogenesis has never been directly demonstrated. Therefore, the analysis of TH17 cells in the Experimental Autoimmune Myasthenia Gravis (EAMG) animal model was the aim of this work. Here, it is shown that in wildtype mice (WT) significant numbers of IL17-producing tAChR-specific CD4+ T cells could be observed after immunization with torpedo AChR in CFA. IL17ko mice developed less or no EAMG symptoms, although frequencies of tAChR-specific CD4+T cells secreting IL2, IFNgamma or IL21 as well as percentage of FoxP3+ Treg cells were similar. In contrast, pathogenic anti-murine AChR antibody levels were significantly lower in IL17ko mice, while anti-tAChR antibody levels were equal. Similar results were obtained by the reconstitution of TCR beta/delta ko mice with CD4+ T cells of either WT or IL17ko origin. For the depletion of Treg cells using DEREG mice in the initial phase of the disease no significant differences could be detected in terms of the analyzed parameters. In summary, this thesis demonstrates, that frequencies and differentiation of antigen specific CD4+ T cells as well as the level of anti-tAChR specific antibody titers are not affected by IL17-deficiency in the EAMG model. Likewise, an early Treg cell depletion seems to have no impact on disease severity. However, breaking of B cell tolerance resulting in pathogenic anti-murine AChR specific antibodies and subsequent disease induction, seems to be dependent on IL17 producing CD4+ T cells. In this respect, the application of anti-IL17 antibodies could also become a MG therapy option.
