Abstract:
At the current stage of genetic studies of cattle, more and more attention is being drawn to autochthonous breeds. Native cattle have a number of prominent phenotypic traits and have preserved unique genes and their combinations lost by modern commercial breeds, which would be valuable to use in selective programs. We surveyed polymorphism of the Ukrainian autochthonous Gray breed according to alleles of exon 2 of the BoLA-DRB3 gene. The uniqueness of the gene lies in the broad variability of its allele variants. Significant informativeness at DNA level is quite important for genetic studies. We surveyed allele polymorphism using the PCR-RLFP method on DNA isolated from 88 samples of blood of cows and 5 samples of sperm. We identified 28 alleles, of which 23 variants were nomenclature ones and 5 (jba, *jab, *jbb, *nad and *nda) were “without established nomenclature”, their share accounting for 8.9%. Four alleles *06, *12, *16 and *jba had a frequency above 5% and occupied 69.9% of the breed’s allele fund overall. The commonest allele was BoLA-DRB3.2*16 (44.1%). In total, we found 40 genotypes. Considering the significant dominance of variant *16, as expected, 5 genotypes with its inclusion occurred: *16/*16, *12/*16, *06/*16, *16/*24 and *jba/*16. It was present in the genotype of two out three studied animals. Parameters of heterozygosity, effective number of alleles, Shannon and Pielou indices indicate that Ukrainian Gray cattle are characterized by lowest level of genetic variability and biodiversity according to the BoLA-DRB3 gene compared with other breeds. Due to significant dominance of allele *16, the breed has no inbred motifs. We noted deviation toward increase in homozygosity without deviations from the norm of the distribution according to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The obtained results will be used for genetic-populational programs with the purpose of improving the genetic potential of cattle breeds in terms of economically beneficial traits and diseases of cattle.

Abstract:
Donor transition is an important aspect of sustaining the impact of donor investments after financial support has ceased. This article compares, contrasts, and critiques the transition policies of the top health donors in the Asia Pacific, which includes Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria, Gavi–the Vaccine Alliance, World Bank (International Development Association), and the United States US Agency for International Development to gain a deeper understanding of what a sustainable financial transition could look like. A literature review of the academic and gray literature was undertaken to ascertain these donors’ transition policies and to determine the success of these policies in ensuring sustainable and effective transition. It is proposed that sustainable transition requires a clearly articulated vision of long-term impact, explicit and transparent transition policies, clear time frames for transition, donor coordination, and evaluation of long-term impacts of donor withdrawal.

Abstract:
In recent years, revenues and expenditures of the PFR budget are constantly growing, and their growth is about the same magnitude. The decrease in revenues in 2014 was due to a decrease in allocations from the Federal budget, as well as a change in the legislation on compulsory pension insurance, in accordance with which it was decided to send all insurance contributions at the individual rate to finance the insurance part of the labor pension. Since 2014, there has been a stable deficit. According to forecast data, the budget for the next years is also planned to be deficit. Taking into account that the state pension provision is planned and financed by the target method at the expense of allocations, it can be stated that the deficit of the PFR budget is associated with a shortage of incoming insurance contributions for the payment of insurance pensions. This may be due to the following reasons: a significant increase in the number of old-age pensioners with a relatively stable working-age population; insufficient income in the form of insurance contributions (informal wages, shadow business); lack of alternative sources of funding. With the first problem, the Russian Government decided to fight by an unpopular method - to reduce the increase in the number of pensioners by increasing the retirement age. This, in our view, exacerbates the existing problem of public distrust in the pension system in general and in the pension policy in particular. That in turn, among other factors, is the cause of the second problem - the growth of "gray" wages and unpaid insurance premiums. Thus, these problems need to be solved radically, which requires considerable time and a serious elaborated pension policy of the Government of the Russian Federation. It is proposed to use the issue of a pension bond loan as a measure in the operational management of the pension cash gap and strategic management of the budget deficit of the PFR.

Abstract:
The 2003 Guber natorial recall campaign in California was a perfect political storm. The extraordinary result—the democratic removal of a sitting governor before his term expired (for the first time in California history and the second time in United States history) and his replacement by a bodybuilder turned movie star with not the slightest governmental experience—depended on the improbable conjuncture of several factors, each pretty odd in itself: the special severity with which the Bush recession hit the California economy, largely because of the latter's unusual dependence on high-tech corporations; the California power crisis engineered by Enron and other denizens of the Houston energy industry; the astonishing charmlessness of Governor Gray Davis, whose political career had been based not on attracting strong loyalty or admiration but on fund-raising, negative campaigning, and convincing core Democratic constituencies that he was marginally less repellant than Republican alternatives; the willingness of the multimillionaire United States congressman Daryl Issa to spend two million dollars of his own money to get the recall on the ballot in the first place; and, of course, the overwhelming star power of Arnold Schwarzenegger. One might suppose that the evident contingency of the whole matter precludes finding historical importance in it. It is after all possible, even likely, in what Guy Debord brilliantly analyzed as la société du spectacle, for an event to be sensational without being tremendously significant.

Abstract:
Breeds of farm animals are characterized by the presence of their genetic structure, in particular, the distribution of allelic and genotypic frequencies by individual genetic and biochemical systems. The purpose of our search was to study the genetic frequencies of polymorphic loci of transferrin (TF), amylase (AM), ceruloplasmin (CR), hemoglobin (HB) and purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PN) in Simmental cattle and related breeds (Gray Ukrainian and Charolais), as well as to determine the degree of similarity between the expected loci and actual genotypes. As a result of research it was established that the genetic structure of the studied polymorphic loci of the Simmental breed was closer in animals of the Gray Ukrainian breed. In particular, at the locus of transferrin in individuals of the Gray Ukrainian breed there are alleles TF A, TF D1, TF D2 and TF E, whose genetic frequency was in the range of 0.051–0.603. The frequency of the Tf A allele in all studied breeds of cattle had a slight intergroup fluctuations (0.235–0.244), indicating their genetic similarity to this allele. At the locus of transferrin allele Tf D1 of the breed Ukrainian and Charolais were characterized by a lower frequency, however, according to the Tf D2 allele (frequency 0.603 in both breeds), they outperformed the Simmental breed by 11.7 %. The amylase locus in the studied breeds occurs with the alleles AM B and AM C, and with the allele AM A – is absent. The frequency of the AM B allele was highest in animals of the Gray Ukrainian breed, and in the AM C allele in the Charolais breed. It should be noted the high frequency of the AM B allele (0.910) in the Gray Ukrainian breed, which is due to the large number of BB homozygotes. Among the ceruloplasmin locus, the CP A allele had the highest frequency, and the CP B allele had a slightly lower frequency. In the hemoglobin locus, the frequency of HB A allele expression was the highest compared to other polymorphic systems and was in the range of 0.905–1.000. As for the HB B allele, on the contrary, the frequency of its appearance was much lower: in Simmental animals it was 0.095, in the Charolais breed it was 0.059, and in the Gray Ukrainian breed this allele was not observed. Among the alleles of purine nucleoside phosphoryls, the PN L allele was noted with a high frequency (0.697–0.846). The study of genotypes of genetic and biochemical systems of Simmental breed by loci TF, AM, SR, HB and PN shows that the locus TF, which is represented by the largest number of genotypes (10), was marked by a high degree of similarity between expected and actual genotypes with a significant difference (exception – genotype TF EE). The largest number of animals at this locus had the genotypes TF AD2, TF D1 D2 and TF D2 D2 (8 heads in each group), and the smallest – with genotypes TF AA, TF D1 D1, TF D1 E and TF D2 E (1–2 heads each). With the expected genotypes TF AF and TF EE, their real number was not detected, which indicates high heterozygosity. Amylase polymorphism is appeqred only by alleles AM B and AM C. Homozygous for allele B recorded a slightly larger number – in 23 individuals, while homozygous for allele C – only in 3 individuals, which coincides with the expected data in accordance with 21.690 and 1.690. The ceruloplasmin locus is marked by a slightly higher frequency of allele A, due to homo- (CP AA) and heterozygotes (CP AB), which appeared in 15 animals in both groups. Hemoglobin in the Simmental breed, as in most breeds of cattle, is represented mainly by allele A, and homozygotes of the BB allele are absent. Allele B is appeared in small quantities in a heterozygous state – in 4 individuals. The РN locus is appeared by two alleles (L and H), and there are no heterozygotes on the electrophoresis foregrams. There was a high frequency of the L allele of the PN locus, which is characteristic of breeds of the dairy direction of productivity. The PN H allele, which is characterized by high activity, is somewhat less common in Simmentals (only in 6 individuals). Thus, the study of genetic frequencies of the Simmental breed is necessary for the identification and early determination of the level of productivity of animals. Genetic frequencies of polymorphic loci are necessary for selection work with the breed, and can also be used in the breeding process to accelerate the rate of the breeding process. Searches of the genetic structure of the complex of genetic and biochemical systems are necessary for the research and preservation of the gene fund of local and endangered breeds of cattle.

Abstract:
In the State Forest Fund and forests of rural territories of the Russian Federation the areas of hayfields and pastures are 4,3 and 2,3 million hectares. Annually, 22,5 million tons of herbage are harvested on forest lands, which is 4,5 million tons of hay. Forest soils of the Moscow region are characterized by high acidity, low content of nutrients, they need regular fertilization. In the Moscow region according to the type of soils they are divided into gray forest soils, which make up 6,1 % of all soils and sod-podzolic – 43,4 %. When livestock manure enters the soil during grazing, the pH of the soil becomes alkaline 8,0–9,0. Six-month compost of livestock manure with a moisture content of 80 %, left on forest pastures, exceeds the leaves’ litter in the amount of dry matter by 2,6 times, N (in % for absolutely dry matter) by 6,5 times, the amount of cement carbon (C) by 1,6 times, the amount of total nitrogen (N) by 16,8 times, but is inferior in the content of C (in % for absolutely dry matter) by 1,6 times. Deoxidation of soils promotes accelerated vegetation. The impact of livestock grazing on forest resources has both positive and negative effects on increasing the biodiversity of plant communities. Livestock grazing causes both harm and benefit to forest biological diversity. The harm is caused by unregulated use, the benefit of grazing brings as a source of organic fertilizers, restoring the cycle of C, P, N. Cattle also contributes to the loosening of the soil, the destruction of ticks, and it participates in the change of the plant composition of the forest to more valuable types of trees and shrubs.

Abstract:
The scientific research of land resourceswhich develops the ways of organizing the effective use and protection of lands based on the ecological assessment of soils serve to create ecologically and economically balanced high-yielding and sustainable agricultural landscapes, maximally adapted to the local ecological situation. The soil bonitet scores of the studied territory were determined according to the results of analyzes and mathematical and statistical processing of data from soil-field and laboratory studies carried out in the Gusar-Gonagkend cadastral region in 2014–2016. Fund and literary soil materials have also influences the results. According to the methods of D.S. Bulgakov, G.Sh. Mamedova and S.Z. Mamedova special assessment scales for the compliance of soils with the ecological requirements of summer pastures, mesophytic forests, perennial plantations, grain and vegetable crops were developed. On the basis of these rating scales, an ecological assessment of the soils of the Gusar-Gonagkend cadastral region was carried out. The main limiting factors affecting soil fertility were determined, and the ecological scores of the soil subtypes of the study area were calculated. As a result of the research, it was found that the limiting factors for the soils of the high-mountainous zone of the Gusar-Gonagkend cadastral region are the steepness of slopes and soil fertility indicators; for soils of the mid-mountain zone - the steepness of slopes, the sum of active temperatures, pH values and particle size distribution; for the soils of the low-mountain zone - the amount of precipitation and indicators of soil fertility. The highest ecological points in the high-mountainous zone were obtained by mountain-meadow black soil-like soils (93 points), in the middle-mountain zone - mountain-forest brown typical (89 points), in the low-mountain zone - mountain-gray-brown dark and ordinary soils (93 points).

In accordance with the requirements of Federal state educational standards of higher education as a result of the development of the graduate program a graduate should develop general cultural, general professional and professional competences in the field of training and educational organization is obliged to provide a guarantee of the quality of graduates. However, educational standards do not regu-late the procedure of evaluation of quality of educational programs mastering, but merely set out com-mon requirements for it. Therefore, for evaluation of students in accordance with their personal achievements to the requirements of the basic educational program of magistracy many universities make their own funds assessment tools to evaluate knowledge, skills and level of item competencies. The article analyzes the existing in the teaching practice assessment systems, based on development levels of separate professional competence components. The authors note that such systems often have a high complexity and a lack of complexity in solving the problem of estimation of masters graduates readiness for professional work. The authors propose an alternative innovative solution to this problem through the use of the complex control fund as a diagnostic tool for the final certification of under-graduates.

Abstract:
The catastrophic economic damage caused by the 2008 financial crisis was unprecedented and caught many market participants by surprise. It raises the question: To what extent do institutional investors play a monitoring role in the banking industry? In this article, we investigate this underresearched area and provide evidence that gray institutions (i.e., banks and insurance companies) have more information about banks’ risk exposure to securitization than independent institutions do (e.g., investment companies and public pension funds) as gray institutions shied away from banks holding more private-label mortgage-backed securities or issuing riskier securitization deals before the crisis. We also find that the trading of gray institutions before the crisis can predict high-exposure banks’ abnormal returns around the Lehman Bankruptcy and subsequent 1-year stock performance. The trades of gray institutions are also significant and positively related to such banks’ operating performance during the crisis period.

Abstract:
BSHS members might be interested to learn that an organization named the ‘A. R. Wallace Memorial Fund’ has recently been established in order to restore and protect the hitherto neglected grave of Alfred Russel Wallace (1823–1913), one of the greatest tropical naturalists of the nineteenth century. Wallace is best known as being the co-originator, with Charles Darwin, of the theory of evolution by natural selection, and for his book The Malay Archipelago, which is regarded as one of the most important of all Victorian travel works.Wallace is buried together with his wife Annie in Broadstone Cemetery, Dorset. The grave is marked by an unusual and striking monument: a seven-foot tall fossilised conifer trunk from the Portland beds mounted on a large cubic base of Purbeck stone. Unfortunately, the monument has not been properly maintained for many years and it is now in poor condition. Furthermore, the lease on the grave has only fourteen years left to run before it expires, after which there is a danger that the plot could be used for another burial. The primary aims of the Wallace Memorial Fund are to restore the monument, apply for it to be officially listed by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and to extend the lease on the plot. A. R. Wallace's grandson Mr Richard Wallace (who is the treasurer of the Fund) plans to transfer the lease to the Linnean Society of London once the restoration work has been completed. This will ensure the grave's long-term protection.A secondary aim of our project is to commission English Heritage to produce a commemorative ceramic plaque and install it on ‘The Dell’ (Grays, Essex), where Wallace lived from 1872 to 1876. This is the only surviving one of three houses which Wallace built (it is currently a convent) and he wrote his important book The Geographical Distribution of Animals there. It is also notable in being one of the first houses in Britain to have been constructed of concrete. The total cost of the project will be approximately £4955. Contributions to date total £3000 leaving £1955 still to be raised. If any members of the Society would like to make a donation then cheques should be made payable to ‘The A. R. Abstract:
Two men better known for their links with the cosmopolitan world of Oscar Wilde became involved in a Hebridean church-building project. It may be contrasted with the church in Edinburgh's Morningside district which Raffalovich financed for Gray. Shared priesthood in Scotland links Fr John Gray with Fr Allan MacDonald, whose work in collecting items of Gaelic culture helped to attract support for St Michael's, Eriskay. This paper corrects the misconception that the island's fishing community was impoverished. It also subjects local tradition that a miraculous draught of fish was mainly responsible for funds raised to critical examination. Conversely it shows that the financial contribution made by André Raffalovich, though significant and deserving to be better understood in the Outer Hebrides, was not so important as claimed in Edinburgh. Urban credulity over Second Sight is also featured. Details of church finance, including the late arrival of seat rents in this remote Catholic mission, no doubt have wider application.

Abstract:
Abstract Objectives To investigate the correlation between a single administration of Lactobacillus acidophilus 5 (LA5)–a potent lactic acid-producing bacterium previously been shown to attenuate obesity–vs microbiota alteration. Methods LA5 was administered daily together at 1 × 108 colonies forming unit with a high-fat diet (HFD) for 8 weeks in male C57BL/6 mice. Fecal samples with bowel tissues were collected to measure Lactobacillus spp. and Akkermansia spp. Gut permeability, lipid profiles, obesity-induced liver damage, and serum cytokines were also measured. In vitro experiment was conducted by using the HepG2 hepatocyte cell-line with palmitic acid and/or endotoxin. Results LA5 attenuated obesity in mice as demonstrated by weight reduction, regional fat accumulation, lipidemia, liver injury, gut permeability defect, endotoxemia, and serum cytokines. Unsurprisingly, LA5 improved these parameters and acidified fecal pH leads to the attenuation of fecal dysbiosis. The fecal microbiome analysis in obese mice with or without LA5 indicated; i) decreased Bacteroideles, ii) reduced total fecal Gram-negative bacterial burdens (the sources of gut LPS), iii) enhanced Firmicutes (Gram-positive bacteria with potential benefits) and iv) increased Verrucomycobia, especially Akkermansia muciniphila, a bacterium with the anti-obesity property. With LA5 administration, A. muciniphila in the colon were more than 2,000 folds higher than the regular diet mice as determined by 16S rRNA. Besides, LA5 produced anti-inflammatory molecules with a similar molecular weight to LPS that reduced cytokine production in LPS-activated HepG2 cells. Conclusions LA5 attenuated obesity through i) gut dysbiosis attenuation, partly through the promotion of A. muciniphila (probiotics with the difficulty in preparation processes), ii) reduced endotoxemia, and iii) possibly decreased liver injury by producing the anti-inflammatory molecules. Abstract:
Introduction: Chronic Graft-versus-Host Disease (cGvHD) frequently requires prolonged immune suppressive therapy (IST) with > 50% still on IST at 5 years. The IST typically involves a slow taper of steroids often with flare of cGvHD, necessitating augmentation of previous therapy or addition of new IST. Studies describing cGvHD flares are limited. We analyzed patients with cGvHD who flared during the treatment with systemic IST, their overall survival (OS) and non-relapse mortality (NRM). Methods: This study included all adult patients with cGvHD (n=145) following an allogeneic transplant (2010 - 2017) from a matched sibling donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant (MSD, n=104 (72%) or double/single umbilical cord blood transplant (UCBT, n=41 (28%). The 2014 NIH Consensus Criteria were used to classify organ/overall cGvHD severity. Flare of cGvHD was defined as progression in cGvHD manifestations (after initial response), which was less severe than at diagnosis. Multivariate regression of flares was based on the Prentice, Williams and Peterson model for ordered multiple events (flares). Time-dependent effects on OS and NRM were analyzed by Cox and Fine and Gray regression with propensity scoring to control for confounding. Results: Flares occurred in 87 patients; the cumulative incidence of flares was 60% (95% CI: 51-70%) at a median of 188 days (range 16-751) after diagnosis of cGvHD. The median dose of prednisone was 1 mg/kg/day (range 0-4.2) at diagnosis of cGvHD. At the diagnosis of flare, 36 (41%) of the patients were off prednisone, 50 (57%) were receiving 0.1-0.5 mg/kg /day, and 2 patients > 0.5 mg/kg /day. Thirty two of the 87 (36%) patients experienced multiple flares (2 to 4). The most common organs involved at cGvHD flare were skin (n=45; 51%), mouth (n=27; 31%), GI tract (n=22; 25%) and liver (n=12; 14%); often in combinations of skin/mouth in 11 cases (13%), skin/GI in 6 (7%) and liver/mouth in 4 (5%) cases. Treatment for flare was mostly increase in dose of prednisone to 0.5 mg/kg/day (range 0.3-1.0) in 77 patients (88%) plus the addition of another line of IST in 48 patients (55%). In multiple regression analysis, only donor type was significant predictor of flare in cGvHD. UCBT was associated with 2-fold lower probability of flaring (HR 0.5; 95% CI: 0.3-0.9; p=0.03) compared to MSD. cGvHD severity, organ involvement, platelet count at diagnosis and type of onset were not significant predictors of cGvHD flares. At 2 years after the initial flare, the OS was 77% (95% CI: 66-84%) and NRM 19% (95% CI: 11-28%). Multiple regression analysis evaluating OS and NRM from onset of cGvHD comparing flare to non-flare were performed using flare as a time dependent variable. Compared to cGvHD patients without flare at 2 years, those with flare of cGvHD had a similar risk of NRM (HR 1.2; 95% CI: 0.2-6.1, p=0.86) and OS (HR 0.9; 95% CI: 0.4-2.3, p=0.85). At 2 years from cGvHD onset, the cumulative incidence of resolved cGvHD (durable discontinuation of steroids for ≥ 6 consecutive months) was 31% (95% CI: 21-41%) in those who flared vs. 86% (95% CI: 75-96%) in those without flare. Conclusions: Though cGvHD patients with flare had similar risk of NRM and OS as those without a flare, patients with flare required extended steroids, along with clinical monitoring and intensified IST. cGvHD after UCBT was associated with significantly lower risk of flaring compared to MSD. The ongoing burden of IST, risk of infection and morbidity of cGvHD is substantial and needs better approaches than chronic slow taper of steroids. Abstract:
Background: Limited studies report a wide range of venous thromboembolism (VTE) incidence among allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (alloHCT) recipients. Chronic GVHD (cGVHD) is an immune mediated complication after alloHCT associated with vascular endothelial damage and prolonged systemic inflammation. We hypothesized that patients developing cGVHD are a subgroup at particularly high risk for VTE. Aims: To assess VTE incidence, sites of involvement, and risk factors in patients with cGVHD and to examine the impact of VTE on clinical outcomes after alloHCT. Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study of all 145 patients who developed cGVHD after a matched sibling (MSD) and umbilical cord blood (UCB) donor alloHCT from 2010 to 2018. VTE was defined as a new confirmed event by imaging at any time after cGVHD diagnosis. VTE sites were categorized as upper extremity (UE), lower extremity (LE) deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolus (PE). We assessed the cumulative incidence of VTE treating non-VTE mortality as a competing risk. Multivariate regression was used to evaluate the independent association of risk factors with the incidence of VTE using predefined factors in our model including gender, age, DRI, cGVHD severity, days to cGVHD from transplant and platelet level. We accounted for multiple events of VTE using PWP regression. Cox and Fine and Gray regressions were used to evaluate the independent association of time-dependent VTE on overall survival (OS) and non-relapse mortality (NRM), respectively using propensity scoring to control for confounding.. Results: Median age at time of cGVHD diagnosis was 52 years (range 19-74). 104 (72%) patients received MSD and 41 (28%) UCB alloHCT. Of the 145 patients with cGVHD, 32 (22%) developed either 1 or 2 VTE events and 14 (10%) developed 2 VTE events. The first VTE events were PE (n=6, 19%), and DVT (n=26, 81%; n=17 LE, n= 8 UE and n=5 catheter related UE DVT); one patient developed an IVC thrombus. The second VTE events were PE (n=2, 14%), and DVT (n=12, 86%; n=5 LE, n= 7 UE and n=4 catheter related UE DVT). Most patients were on corticosteroids at the first (n=28, 88%) and second (n=10, 71%) VTE with a median dose of (0.3 and 0.2 mg/kg/day, respectively) ± additional immunosuppression therapies. The cumulative incidence of VTE through 5 years post cGVHD diagnosis was estimated at 22% (95% CI: 15-29%) with median time from cGVHD diagnosis to VTE of 234 days (IQR 85-599). Median time to the development of LE DVT or PE was shorter than UE DVT (107 vs 450 days, respectively). Incidence was higher in males (24% vs 18%), and was not significantly different by age (< or ≥50), BMI (< or ≥30), HCT- comorbidity index, donor type, conditioning regimen and GVHD prophylaxis. Cumulative incidence was higher (50%) in patients with high/very high risk DRI compared to 19% in those with low and intermediate risk DRI. VTE incidence was highest in patients with de novo cGVHD (25%) compared to quiescent (20%) and progressive type (17%). Cumulative incidence was 9%, 17% and 38% in those with mild, moderate and severe GVHD respectively. Patients with lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and liver cGVHD had a higher incidence of VTE. Patients developing cGVHD >6 months from HCT had a higher incidence of VTE (24% vs 19%). In multivariate analysis, high/very high risk DRI was associated with higher risk of VTE (HR 2.5; 95% CI; 1.2-5.3) (Figure 2). VTE was not associated with a significantly higher 2-year NRM (HR 1.2; 95% CI; 0.4-3.6) or 5 year OS (HR 1.4; 95% CI; 0.7-3.0). Conclusion: Patients who develop cGVHD after alloHCT have a high incidence VTE. Identifying a subgroup at a particularly high risk for VTE could inform thromboprophylaxis and other supportive care strategies for prevention of such events. Abstract:
Abstract Introduction In 2019/2020, the Pharmacy Integration Fund commissioned delivery of cross-sector pre-registration pharmacist training incorporating 3–6 month placements in general practice (GP). GP placements were managed by Health Education England (HEE) and organised as one (or more) blocks, or as spilt weeks/days across base sector (hospital/community) and GP. Trainees had a pharmacist tutor at base and in GP. Aim to evaluate the implementation of cross-sector pre-registration pharmacy placements in GP in England, and to identify barriers and enablers of a successful placement. Methods A qualitative approach was taken, with case study sites purposively sampled for maximum variation: pharmacy base (hospital/community), number of pre-registration pharmacist trainees in base doing GP placement, length of GP placement, organisation of GP placement and geographical location. With consent, trainees and tutors identified as meeting sampling criteria were emailed invitation letters and participant information sheets. Where the trainee and their tutor(s) agreed to participate, semi-structured telephone interviews were conducted January - July 2020. Questions developed from literature(1, 2) and the HEE handbook were tailored to understanding trainees’ and tutors’ views on the implementation of pre-registration pharmacist placements in GP, including benefits, unintended consequences and impacts. Thematic analysis across sites was undertaken with a focus on exploring inter and intra group themes. Results Thirty-four interviews were completed in 11 study sites (5 GP/hospital; 6 GP/community pharmacy). Trainees and tutors considered GP placements had been successful. Contributing factors were: placement planning (induction, contingency arrangements for cover should GP tutor be unavailable); tutors working together (good communication and collaboration); GP tutor support (regular contact, reflection; identifying learning needs; opportunities for learning); integration of GP placements within training year (specific learning/training activities at base during GP placement); and GP tutors having backing of their organisation to supervise effectively. A lack of these impacted negatively. Trainees completed a wide spectrum of activities and gradually moved from administrative to clinical tasks. They built up confidence to undertake patient-facing activities, with more direct supervision at the beginning moving to indirect supervision using debriefing. Thirteen weeks in GP was considered an appropriate minimum duration by all trainees and tutors; those based in community felt that 26 weeks in GP provided more opportunities for clinical and consultation skills learning. Cross-sector experience facilitated a better understanding of patient pathways and the importance of holistic patient care. All trainees considered working in GP in future but highlighted the lack of a cross-sector GP foundation programme. Base tutors felt the time commitment was comparable to single sector placements. Base and GP tutors felt that a clear set of competencies for GP placements and a broader governance framework would ensure standards and consistency. Conclusion This is the first national evaluation of cross-sector pre-registration pharmacists in general practice placements in England. Sampling as case studies enabled data triangulation and generated a multi-faceted understanding on factors impacting GP placements. A key limitation was the volunteer bias associated with recruitment. Key attributes of a successful pre-registration cross-sector training experience are highlighted and can inform policy reforms including change from pre-registration to foundation year training. Abstract:
This article investigates European Union and International Monetary Fund influence on Hungary's public sector reforms in the period 2004–2013, that is, a time period that saw the initiation of the European Union's Excessive Deficit Procedure (the whole period) and an International Monetary Fund bailout programme (2008–2010). In this case, public sector reforms became derailed from the externally proposed trajectory and took the opposite direction: instead of fostering decentralization of the state administration and deepening the Europeanization process, Hungary's restructuring of the public sector delivered centralization and a ‘power grab’ that eventually impinged on some core values of the European Union ‘constitution’ (the acquis communautaire). This study aims to explain this empirical puzzle by in-depth analysis of how external influence was exerted and became interwoven with dynamically changing domestic factors in circumstances of conditionality. The research is framed by existing policy transfer and public sector reform theories. The article argues that the Hungarian case provides evidence of the unintended consequences of European Union-driven public sector reforms.

Abstract:
GDP and industrial investment funds-added are two major factors of measuring economic development for certain countries or regions. In this paper, we use gross domestic product and industrial investment funds as original data from Qinghai Province (2005-2009), and design an improved GM (1, 1) model which is based on the traditional Gray System to analyze and forecast the overall economic growth of Qinghai Province. The improved GM (1, 1) model not only maintains the advantages of simple calculation method, but also greatly improves the traditional GM (1, 1) model to make prediction more accuracy. The experimental results show that this method using improved GM (1, 1) model is high prediction accuracy in forecasting economic growth of Qinghai province. This method is very practical, and it can provide reliable scientific basis for local government to make right directions behind economic growth and industrial development in that region.

Abstract:

2
a decomposição esferoidal do basalto.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The next three Suebi! A Roman Period „princely grave“ with Roman import and other grave finds from Kariv-I in the western Ukraine In spring 2017, the Historical-Regional Museum in Vinniki was informed about the discovery of several metal objects discovered by detectorists in the vicinity of the village Kariv, obl. Ľviv, Fpl. I, in western Ukraine. An immediately scheduled excavation should deliver information about the character and state of preserving of the site. It took place in summer 2017 under the direction of Jaroslav Oniščuk (Ivan Franko University Ľviv). At the very beginning of these investigations, two extremely interesting graves (1 and 2) were discovered, dating back to the late second century AD. Grave 1 contained fragments of a Roman amphora dating from the second third of the 1st century BC to the middle of the 2nd century AD, a terra sigillata vessel with applied decoration, a severely disintegrated horse skull and bridle of the Vimose type, five iron arrowheads, ritually bent iron scissors, a fragmentary shield shackle, two molten and broken bronze spurs and belt fittings. Given his inventory grave 2 can be named “princely grave“. As a urn was used a bronze cauldron with three busts of Germanic men with the so-called Suebian knot, to which there are known only two parallels next to a loose find of a single bust. As a second metal vessel, the grave contained a bronze bucket, furthermore two glass goblets with oval cut facets, two glass bowls, and a fifth glass vessel so badly decomposed that it could not be retrieved. Also email-decorated drinking horn components made of copper alloy have to be mentioned. They and the finds of Roman provenance from grave 2 can be called spectacular. They indicate an outstanding position of the owner in his environment and also on a supraregional scale. The graves can be dated to the time of the Marcomannic Wars or shortly thereafter and are certainly related to these events in a causal connection.

Abstract:
The ability of the motility enrichment Fung-Yu tube procedure with Oxyrase™ enzyme to detect the presence of Listeria monocytogenes inoculated into ground beef samples was compared to the USDA-FSIS method. Three strains of L. monocytogenes (LM 101M, LM 103M, and Scott A) were inoculated separately into sterilized ground beef or culture broth. The inoculum levels used were as low as 1 to 1000 Listeria cells per g of meat or per ml of broth. The Fung-Yu tube procedure produced results as sensitive as the USDA procedures and provided a shorter detection time of 26–48 h. A total of 215 retail-level meat and poultry products were analyzed comparatively by the Fung-Yu tube and the GENETRAK® DNA hybridization methods for Listeria detection. Six Listeria spp. (L. denitrificans, L. grayi, L. innocua, L. ivanovii, L. monocytogenes, and L. murrayi) were identified among the isolates. All 48 presumptively positive samples determined by the Fung-Yu tube method were further confirmed to harbor Listeria by biochemical tests. Eleven samples were missed by the GENETRAK® procedure, probably because of the enrichment procedure. L. monocytogenes was isolated from ground beef, pork sausage, smokie links, and cheese hot dogs. Among cooked samples examined, only cheese hot dogs and macaroni and cheese loaf showed substantial incidence of Listeria contamination.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The distribution of macrofaunal productivity in the Bay of Fundy, inclusive of the upper Bay (Chignecto Bay and Minas basin) is presented. The data used in mapping are based on wet biomass from 266, 0.1- and 0.5-m2 grab samples, converted to annual productivity using a lifespan/annual turnover regression. Macrofaunal production of the subtidal area (11 149 km2) of the whole Bay of Fundy is estimated to be 212 × 104 t wet biomass∙yr−1 equivalent to 190 g wet wt∙m−2∙yr−1Production in the intertidal area (1437 km2), by contrast, is estimated to be 13 × 104 t wet biomass∙yr−1 or 92 g wet∙m−2∙yr−1. Possible qualitative macrofaunal changes resulting from building a tidal barrage between Economy Point and Cape Tenny are suggested on the basis of predicted physical changes, particularly tidal current speed, sediment type, and sediment bed stress. The only quantitative prediction possible with our biological data is that suspension-feeding animal production will be 17% less in the lower Bay of Fundy following barrage construction. This reduction is not significant at the 95% confidence level.
