Abstract:
Recife is an amphibious city whose urban development does not value its rivers. In the past, the city’s main watercourse, the river Capibaribe, was understood to play a key role in structuring urban spaces and providing connectivity. Since then, this understanding has dwindled, and the resulting situation is a cause of great concern. Recife City has turned its back on the banks of its rivers and neglected both their capacity to smooth and shape urban space, and their potential to create a coherent image of the city. Recife is one of those cities in the world that are most vulnerable to climate change, ranking 16th in the list of world hotspots. In order to confront these challenges and rethink the role of the river that runs in the heart of Recife, researchers, architects, engineers, and sociologists from Research and Innovation for Cities — Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (INCITI-UFPE) were invited by the Recife City Hall to draw up plans for a park stretching along the river’s banks. Capibaribe Park Project attempts to answer one key question: How can we use the river to transform the city? The park project is based on a structural approach to landscape and is guided by the precepts of sustainability and regeneration of public spaces, in line with the emerging paradigm that combines a cross-disciplinary and cross-sector approach with water-sensitive design and social participation. The present article presents an overview of the main characteristics and development of this project, its theoretical and methodological underpinnings, its contribution to society, and the results achieved so far. It shows how, in addition to the planned park, the project also envisages the installation of a much more extensive system of parks, as a first stage towards the creation of park-city by the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Recife, in 2037.

Abstract:
If banditry and mysticism represents one classic formula summarizing the historical reality of the Brazilian Northeast, its companion image is one of devastating droughts and concomitant migrations out from the parched backlands to regional capitals like Recife and Salvador and on to the great national metropolises of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Reports of drought in the Northeast appear from the times of early settlement; succeeding centuries witnessed repeated dry periods. While some of these proved relatively moderate in intensity, others, sparing only the lush coastal strip, assailed the entire region and reigned for several seasons. Of this latter type, none provoked greater suffering than the so-called Grande Séca which embraced the winters from 1877-1879, devastating the cotton and cattle complexes, the mainstays of the backlands' economy, and setting in motion an enormous migratory stream which ranged from the Amazon rubber lands to those of the booming coffee culture in the Southeast. Moreover, with the outbreak of epidemic diseases, it generated a mortality estimated as exceeding two hundred thousand persons. By this measure, then, the Grande Séca stands as “the most costly natural disaster in the history of the Western Hemisphere.”

Abstract:
As áreas verdes ocupam 45,58% do Recife. Os transectos lineares e perfis permitiram visualizar mais facilmente as mudanças espaço-temporais ocorridos na RPA-4. Foi visualizada grande diferença de temperatura entre as áreas vegetadas e as áreas mais urbanizadas. Palavras-chave: Uso e ocupação do solo; área urbana, áreas vegetadas, sensoriamento remoto; MAXVER. A B S T R A C T The rapid change of use and land cover in urban environment poses great impact on relations between energy and hydrological cycles on the surface. The municipality of Recife, through the Land Use Legislation from 1996 (Law No. 16.176/96) defines green area as ";;;;;;any public or private domain area, in natural soil, where overcrows any form of vegetation, distributed in its different layers: Arboreal, shrubby and Herbaceous Forage, native or exotic";;;;;;. The goal of this paper is to analyze the spatial variation of available green areas in the city of Recife and the spatio-temporal evolution of environmental quality in the Political Administrative Region 4, known as RPA-4, through the calculation of moisture content (NDWI), leaf area index (LAI) and the surface temperature from Landsat TM images. Supervised classification was performed on orthophoto Reef where the green areas were exported to polygons, allowing its quantification. For the TM images, it has been applied the methodology SEBAL. The green areas occupy 45.58% of Recife. The linear transects and profiles allowed to show more easily space-time changes occurring in the RPA-4. Large temperature differences have been displayed between the most vegetated areas and more urbanized areas. Key-words: Land use; urban areas; vegetated area, remote sensing; MAXVER.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The Port of Recife receives a large number of vessels of various types and from many parts of the world, and can bring exotic species encrusted hull or in ballast water. The aim of this study was to record and analyze the patterns of recruitment of sessile benthic species, as well as investigating a possible introduction of exotic and cryptogenic benthic species in a port area with great flow vessels. We used galvanized metal plates to study the recruitment of sessile and sedentary animals at three stations in the harbor, with three replicas each, totaling nine points, six months (October 2010 to March 2011), considered the dry . The plates recruitment were taken every 30 days for six months. The main species according to coverage area were Mytella charruana (72%) and Amphibalanus improvisus (22%) and voids (7.5%). There was no significant difference when comparing the three stations in the Port of Recife, differences were found when comparing the coverage areas of most abundant species in recruitment. They were: Clytia gracilis, Obelia dichotoma, M. charruana and A. improvisus.

Abstract:
e13628 Background: Cervical cancer (CC) is the second most incident and the most deadly among women from the Northeast’S Brazil and RECIFE-Pernambuco and the third most incident in Brazil. The occurrence of CC expresses a reality of inequality and inequity and should be understood not only as an oncological indicator, but essentially as an indicator of social vulnerability and health care needs. Its distribution occurs heterogeneously. Methods: Determine the geolocation of areas of greatest risk of occurrence of SC from the social and health determinants Considering the high incidence and mortality related to cervical cancer between 2006-2015, in the city of Recife, we used the spatialization technique to identify the most vulnerable territories for our intervention in the city of Recife. Results: 3,844 Cervical Cancer notifications AND 276 OBITUATIONS registered in the period 2006-2015 and the number of deaths in the period from 2009 to 2018, as a result, there are five areas of high influence. from spatialization, the heat zone generated by the 47 deaths that occurred in the north of the city of Recife WAS DETERMANED. Regarding the cytopathological supply, the ratio in 2018 was 0.37, being below the state average, which is 0.41. With a deficit of 45,041 screening cytopathological exams in the age group 25-64 years.the III Health Region was identified, based on the analysis of information from the State Health Secretary, which shows to be one of the areas of great social vulnerability, since 63% of the 22 municipalities that make up this health region and its population is in extreme poverty, according to IBGE (2010). Conclusions: The occurrence of deaths and new cases of cervical cancer in the city of Recife occurs geographically unequally and is associated with indicators of social vulnerability. IS IT POSSIBLE to identify a priority region to intensify public actions for prevention and early diagnosis. A challenging scenario has been found and must be actively addressed.

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the incrusting and sedentary animals associated with the hull of a tugboat active in the ports of Pernambuco and later loaned to the port of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Thus, areas with dense biofouling were scraped and the species then classified in terms of their bioinvasive status for the Brazilian coast. Six were native to Brazil, two were cryptogenic and 16 nonindigenous; nine of the latter were classified as established (Musculus lateralis, Sphenia fragilis, Balanus trigonus, Biflustra savartii, Botrylloides nigrum, Didemnum psammatodes, Herdmania pallida, Microscosmus exasperatus, and Symplegma rubra) and three as invasive (Mytilopsis leucophaeta, Amphibalanus reticulatus, and Striatobalanus amaryllis). The presence of M. leucophaeata, Amphibalanus eburneus and A. reticulatus on the boat's hull propitiated their introduction onto the Natal coast. The occurrence of a great number of tunicate species in Natal reflected the port area's benthic diversity and facilitated the inclusion of two bivalves - Musculus lateralis and Sphenia fragilis - found in their siphons and in the interstices between colonies or individuals, respectively. The results show the role of biofouling on boat hulls in the introduction of nonindigenous species and that the port of Recife acts as a source of some species.

Abstract:
Due to climate change problems caused by greenhouse gas emissions generated by fossil fuels and from waste disposition, fuel alternatives for power generation are being extensively researched. Currently, in Brazil and in many countries, wood waste is disposed in landfills. However, due to lignin, one of the major constituents of biomass, which prevents wood waste from suffering microbial degradation, there is no significant mass degradation, even over decades, when landfilled. Hence, landfilling is not a solution to discard wood waste. Hence, one of the solutions to get rid of the great amount of wood waste is to use it as feedstock in waste-to-electricity (WTE) projects. WTE projects are in high demand in the world, as they can replace fossil fuels and they reduce two major environmental problems (greenhouse gas emissions due to the use of fossil fuels and the accumulation of waste in landfills), while generating biofuels and/or electricity. One of the residues that can be used in WTE projects is biomass residue from construction sites (CCbiowaste). CCbiowaste could be converted into gaseous biofuels through pyrolysis or gasification. These gaseous biofuels can be used in Otto engines connected to an electricity generator (gensets) to produce electricity and/or heat (cogeneration applications). Hence, the objective of this research was to characterize (physically, chemically, and energetically) civil construction biomass wastes (CCbiowaste), produced in a residential building construction site in Recife, Brazil, and to use these wastes in a bench-scale gasifier to produce gaseous biofuels at the temperatures of 700 °C, 800 °C, and 900 °C. The gaseous fuels were collected in the gasifier and analyzed in a gas chromatograph equipped with a thermal conductivity detector (TCD) to determine their composition and heating values. The lower heating value (LHV) results varied from 8.07 MJ∙m−3 to 10.74 MJ∙m−3 for 700 °C to 900 °C gasification temperature. These gaseous fuels were tested in an adapted Otto cycle engine connected to an electricity generator to prove the feasibility of this application. The highest total energy per ton of biomass was obtained for mixed wood and Pinus at 900 °C, with approximately 13 GJ∙ton−1. Hence, the use of CCbiowaste can become an option for the reuse of wasted wood instead of simply dumping in a landfill.

The path of Higher Education in Brazil is characterized by State intervention, which causes both advances and setbacks in the National Higher Education System. In this sense, evaluation policies, as variables of this system, have been responsible for promoting these changes, from undergraduate courses to large scale national exams, such as the National Exam for the Assessment of Students’ Performance (in Portuguese, ENADE). Thus, it is relevant to focus on the evaluative practices as building elements of the educational system, since they allow improvement in the teaching process, provided they are used with clear and appropriate objectives to the genuine education of students. This work aims at understanding the impacts of ENADE in the evaluative and teaching practices in Business Administration undergraduate courses at Institutions of Higher Education in the Metropolitan Region of Recife/PE (Great Recife), considering the way the exam is currently applied. Hence, in the introduction of this work the transformations in Higher Education in Brazil are contextualized and related to the evaluation, focusing on the largest undergraduate course in the country, Business Administration. The theoretical foundation reviews the expansion of Brazilian Higher Education, and consequently of the rigor that raises from this increase in the quantitative dimension. Based on the described rigor, the current evaluative system for this level of higher learning is introduced, finally leading to the instrument named ENADE. Then the work discusses the relevance of the evaluation process which is linked to teaching as a building element for a more meaningful and lasting education. Therefore, qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research are adopted as the methodological approach. The loci of this research are the Higher Education Institutes which offer Business Administration undergraduate courses in Great Recife/PE. The corpus, on its turn, consists of files from semistructured interviews with professors and coordinators from Business Administration courses in Higher Education Institutes in Great Recife. The data analysis addresses the contextual conditions which impact the level of alignment between the evaluative and teaching practices from the Higher Education Institutes with ENADE and the impacts of the National Exam in these practices in the mentioned courses in the region. Finally, it was possible to conclude that the impact of Enade on the evaluation and teaching practices in Business Administration undergraduate courses in the Great Recife/PE was insignificant, since only in private institutions of higher learning were improvements noted in the structural aspects of assessment tools applied in the undergraduate period, with an emphasis on classes which are about to take ENADE. Given the demand for improvement in assessing and teaching, a critical concern emerges in these Institutes of Higher Learning in an attempt to achieve more satisfactory results in ENADE. In the course of essentially public Institutes of Higher Learning it was not possible to observe any significant impact on the assessment and teaching practices which are related to the National Exam ENADE.

Abstract:
Deflation, which has recently represented significant source of concern, is by many economists perceived to be an unfavorable phenomenon in the economy. The aim of this paper is to identify the possible link between deflation and economic downturn based on the comprehensive view. The emphasis is put on the analysis of historical episodes of deflation over the past two centuries in order to shed light on causes and impacts of deflation during the periods. The paper does not neglect the comparison of theoretical approaches. The results of the analysis, supported by empirical studies, imply that the relationship between deflation and recession is complex. Although the paper does not confirm the existence of a general link between deflation and recession, it reveals that recession often leads to deflation (especially in a low inflation environment), but deflation does not usually result in recession. In many cases deflation remains to be a symptom of economic problems, not their cause.

Abstract:
Collecting recipes was an established tradition that continued in elite English households throughout the eighteenth century. This thesis is on medical recipes and advice, and it addresses the evolution of recipe collecting from the seventeenth century and throughout the eighteenth century. It investigates elite domestic medicine within a cultural history of medicine framework and uses social and material history approaches to reveal why elites continued to collect medical recipes, given the commercialisation of medicine. This thesis contends that the meaning of domestic medicine must be understood within a wider context of elite healthcare in order to appreciate how the recipe collecting tradition evolved alongside cultural shifts, and shifts within the medical economy. My re-appraisal of the meaning of domestic medicine gives elite healthcare a clearer role within the narrative of the social history of medicine. Elite healthcare was about choice. Wealthy individuals had economic agency in consumerism, and recipe compilers interacted with new sources of information and products; recipe books are evidence of this consumer engagement. In addition to being household objects, recipe books had cultural significance as heirlooms, and as objects of literacy, authority, and creativity. A crucial reason for the continuation of the recipe collecting tradition was due to its continued engagement with cultural attitudes towards social obligation, knowledge exchange, taste, and sociability as an intellectual pursuit. Positioning the household as an important space of creativity, experiment, and innovation, this thesis reinforces domestic medicine as an important part of the interconnected histories of science and medicine. This thesis moreover contributes to the social history of eighteenth-century England by demonstrating the central role domestic medicine had in elite healthcare, and reveals the elite reception of the commercialisation of medicine from a consumer perspective through an investigation of personal records of intellectual pastimes and patient experiences.

We define duration of crisis as the count of years lost due to the crisis, and estimate the determinants of crisis duration on the dataset of 54 developed and developing countries. This thesis contrasts with previous literature by employing Bayesian Model Averaging (BMA) to accommodate for the large amount of potential explanatory variables and to address model uncertainty. Moreover, an innovative measure of export competitiveness, which accounts for the changes in non-price factors such as quality, is used. The results bring suggestive evidence of positive impact of developed financial markets, high share of private consumption and improvements in export competitiveness. We also find positive effect of fiscal policy stimulus once it is controlled for the feedback loop of uncertainty which appears when heavily indebted countries finance fiscal stimulus through issuance of additional debt. Lastly, it needs to be concluded, that the results are not robust to all prior specifications. In particular, the more restrictive Beta binomial model prior shrinks the statistical significance of aforementioned results heavily. The purpose of this article is to examine the concept of business and the role of enterprises in the economic development of society. This topic is relevant for Russia today. Business in the Russian Federation is of great importance in the development of the economy and the country as a whole. Only through the development and improvement of entrepreneurship does economic growth take place, scientific and technological progress is accelerated. Also, the business area has a huge impact on other areas of activity, such as: social, political and others. Another argument for the relevance of this work is that in Russia entrepreneurship, especially small business, does not receive proper development and only partially performs the functions inherent in it in developed market systems, because as you know, it is small business that is the engine of economic growth.

Abstract:
When urban agriculture becomes a sustainability initiative with institutional backing, it can drive green gentrification even when its advocates are well intentioned and concerned about the possible exclusion of urban farmers and residents. This chapter explores these tensions through the notion of an urban agriculture fix, which I apply to a case in Denver, Colorado. Urban farmers accessed land more easily after the Great Recession and as a result were a force for displacement and at risk of displacement as the city adopted sustainable food system plans, the housing market recovered, and green gentrification spread. This case suggests the importance of explaining how political economy and culture combine to drive neighborhood disinvestment and economic marginalization, which can compel the entrance of urban agriculture due to its perceived low cost and potential high return for local residents. Yet, while urban agriculture may provide some short-term benefits, it may ultimately be entangled in some of the long-term harms of green gentrification.

This chapter examines the Dutch Republic’s revolt and war of independence against the Spanish Empire. In the spate of less than a century, from 1581 to 1648, the Dutch Republic went from a tiny polity in northern Europe to a global empire that stretched from the Americas to Africa and Asia. It ruled the high seas, dominated international trade, invented the stock market, and revolutionized modern warfare, defeating the once-mighty Spanish Empire. Its secret to success was simple: it followed the recipe of the dominant democracies that had preceded it.

Abstract:
History commenced for a large portion of North America on July 7, 1540. One may quibble over the dimension of territory affected, but the date is certain: it was duly written down, which is what distinguishes history, narrowly defined, from other ways of recording human experience. History is based on a documentary record; it begins when the documents start to pile up. On that July day nearly five centuries ago, a small army of Spaniards and Mexican Indians gathered before a stone village in what is now New Mexico and informed the residents thereof that henceforward they owed obedience to someone called the Pope and to the Catholic Sovereigns of Castile, in whom the Pope had entrusted authority over the bodies, souls, and lands of every person living on the islands and continent of the Mar Océano. This included the people of the stone village. No doubt these ideas sounded strange to their intended hearers, if indeed they were translated with the remotest accuracy. The intruders’ puzzling message was shouted out by someone who appeared to stare at a cloth, or a material similarly thin, flat, and flexible. It was a sheet of thick paper, nearly the size of one of the natives’ bison-hide shields. It bore many small marks, but no one from the village was close enough to observe this. Not that it mattered. The document asserting Spanish sovereignty over the village and its people was called the Requerimiento. Its purpose was to justify, in legal terms, the bloodshed and robbery that were soon to follow. An official of the Spanish host duly recited the entire document, which stipulated, on behalf of his commander, Captain-General Francisco Vásquez de Coronado, that if the natives failed to obey the commands of the Requerimiento, “I will make war against you everywhere and in every way I can. And I will subject you to the yoke and obedience of the Church and His Majesty. I will take your wives and children, and I will make them slaves. . . . I will take your property.

Abstract:
The requirement to consistently achieve the specific target mean film thickness within a tight tolerance (± 80nm) in the IC fabrication process flow is a great challenge. In general, except process time, all other process parameters such as applied pressure, both carrier and platen velocity, slurry flow rate and pad conditioning duration are kept constant in a typical process recipe so as to reduce the source of variations. This paper describes a methodology that can be implemented with or without the end point detection system to predict the optimal process time for CMP based on the hypothesis of contact mechanics. It captures the variation of incoming wafer thickness, material removal rate and erratic behavior of the process. It cal also serve as a comprehensive framework for better recipe development. Experimental work shows that this approach demonstrates promising results in reducing the target mean film thickness variation and works well with different layers and devices.

Abstract:
Abstract As margins tighten, players in the modern O&G landscape are being forced to reimagine their business models and re-evaluate their strategic direction to maintain a competitive edge. This often means doing more with less and spreading ever slimmer margins across increasingly complex well operations. Fortunately, with the wave of digital innovations that are sweeping the industry, most E&P organizations have a wealth of opportunities to streamline activity and increase efficiency while reducing the resources required. However, with the increasing array of digital opportunities, the gauntlet is set: those who adopt quickly and reap early benefits will undoubtedly be tomorrow's leaders. Laggards slow to adapt will fall progressively further behind as leaders successfully navigate through the learning phase and accelerate into new standards of efficiency. This combination of urgency and opportunity will undoubtedly be the force that propels the industry into the fourth great revolution; digital transformation. As observed in a variety of industries, automation has proven to be one of these instrumental digital levers to unlocking the next level of efficiency. Across the O&G industry, we are beginning to see a number of applications in which tasks are not only becoming less labor-intensive but also faster, safer and with increased levels of precision. This ensures that repetitive tasks which often drain and distract workers are re-allocated to automated processes while ensuring that employees remain concentrated on prioritizing safety and operations integrity. The value proposition for automation in drilling is especially compelling as human operators can easily become overwhelmed with the volume of competing priorities and the pressure to make immediate decisions. By carefully delegating some of the decision-making to an intelligent drilling system, the cognitive burden on human operators is reduced resulting in a safer working environment conducive to increased performance and engagement. In this paper, a detailed case study is presented to document the effort of a major service company to deploy a full drilling automation system in the Middle East implemented to autonomously operate rig surface equipment. A detailed description of the system's intelligent management system will be provided to communicate its capacity to interpret and autonomously respond to changing well conditions. A case study approach will be used in attempt to specifically identify the areas where automation delivers a step change in results compared to manual operations. Additionally, given the complexity inherent to executing a digitalization project in drilling, insight will be shared on the strategies leveraged to navigate the intricacies of deployment and adoption. Throughout this paper, it will become evident that automation is quickly becoming a reliable solution for the consistent delivery of top quartile performance by unlocking new levels of consistency and procedural adherence.

Abstract:
The prediction of the grinding process result, such as the workpiece surface quality or the state of the edge zone depending on the used grinding wheel is a great challenge for todays manufacturers and users of grinding tools. This is mainly caused by inadequate predictability of the forces and temperatures acting in the process, which depend on the topography of the grinding wheel coming into contact with the workpiece during the grinding process. The topography of a grinding wheel depends, beside the dressing process, on the structure of the grinding wheel, which is determined by its recipe-dependent volumetric composition. The structure of a grinding tool therefore determines its application behavior strongly. As a result, the knowledge-based prediction of the grinding wheel topography and its influence on the machining behavior is only possible if the recipe-dependent grinding wheel structure is known. In this paper, an innovative approach for modeling the grinding wheel structure and the resultant grinding wheel topography is discussed. The overall objective of the underlying research project was to create a mathematical-generic grinding wheel model in which the spatial arrangement of the components grains, bond and pores is simulated in a realistic manner starting from the recipe-dependent volumetric composition of a grinding wheel. With this model it is possible to determine the resulting grinding wheel structure and the grinding wheel topography of vitrified and synthetic resin-bonded CBN grinding wheels and thus to predict their application behavior. The originality of the present research results is a generic approach for the modeling of grinding wheels, taking into account the entire grinding wheel structure and build up the topography based on it. Using original mathematical methods, the components of grinding wheels were analyzed and distribution functions of the components were determined. Thus the statistical character of the grinding wheel structure was taken into account. In future, the presented model opens new perspectives in order to optimize and to increase the productivity of grinding processes.

Higher education is co-financed by the state, municipalities, as well as various local and international funds, but the support of individuals and businesses, known as patronage, is playing an increasingly important part. Here, the contributions of alumni are of a great consequence, ranging from cash donations, in-kind donations, volunteering and pro bono contributions. To receive these diverse donations, universities must work diligently on their communications strategy with alumni, current and potential patrons. This strategy should be diversified on the basis of age, gender and wealth. Successful fundraising campaigns are based on a well-thoughtout and ad hoc approach, where each participant clearly understands the goals and objectives of his or her activities.

Abstract:
Abstract High resolution laser imaging, using high numerical aperture (NA) solid immersion lens (SIL) for backside fault isolation imposes stringent sample preparation requirements; as a result of the short focal length of SIL, a die must be thinned to a targeted thickness with less than a ±5 μm silicon thickness variation across the entire die. Flip chip packaged dice suffer from warpage due to various package sizes and substrate thicknesses. Such broad spectrums of part geometries pose a great challenge to meet such silicon planarity requirements. As relaxation of the packaged silicon during polishing causes the warpage profile to change dynamically and unpredictably throughout the thinning process, it has become an added challenge to meet the stringent sample preparation requirements. To overcome the stochastic nature of this problem, a two-step polishing recipe consisting of computer numerical control (CNC) mechanical milling and polishing processes has been developed to achieve sufficient silicon thickness uniformity to enable SIL imaging across an entire silicon chip as large as approximately 20 mm x 15 mm.

This paper examines how information technology is used in training. It also analyzes the consequences when a particular financial institution based in Barcelona starts to use new technologies to deliver a training program aimed at providing basic knowledge of the business to new employees joining the branch network throughout Spain. From our study, we conclude that there is great potential in the use of new technologies in training. They are being used to exchange (deliver and receive) the course materials, including syllabus, tasks and theoretical content, and as a means of interaction between participants and teachers, and among participants. However, implementing such an online communication system is not very easy, for instance, developing virtual communities of formal and non-formal learning, obtaining adequate course coherence when combining face-to-face and virtual learning, creating virtual courses based on real cases, and having in-house employees as on-line tutors.

Abstract:
Students participating in mobility experiences have a great learning opportunity, but in many cases they hardly realise about the soft-competences they developed during mobility. In this context, the supporting role of universities is key for students to make the most of their mobility and be able to communicate their learning outcomes. This study analyses the support services that students receive for the development and acknolwledgement of mobility soft comptencies (related with the three dimensiones: knowledge, skills and attitudes or KSAs) in order to define the university strategy in this field. Results show two types of support for outgoing and incoming students: (i) passive initiatives based on delivering relevant information for the mobility period to students; and (ii) active initiatives based on training activities and activities for student integration in the host university/city/culture. No support initiatives on mobility related KSAs for returned students or academic staff have been identified.

Abstract:
The heat flux on the receiver tube is non-uniform because of uneven solar flux and receiver structure, which causes overheating and thermal stress failure of receiver and affected safe operations of the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) system. In order to reduce the temperature difference in receiver tube wall and improve the efficiency of CSP system, the ternary eutectic salt LiF-NaF-KF (46.5-11.5-42 wt.%, hereafter FLiNaK), which has a better high thermal stability than that of nitrate salts at operating temperature of 900 °C, is selected as HTF, and heat transfer performance of FLiNaK in a corrugated receive tube with non-uniform heat flux is simulated by CFD software in the present work. The numerical results reveal that the non-uniform heat flux has a great influence on the temperature distributions of the receive tube and FLiNaK salt. Compared with the result of bare tube, the corrugated tube can not only significantly reduce the temperature difference in tube wall and salt by improving the uniformity of temperature distribution but also enhance the heat transfer of the salt, where the heat transfer coefficient increases with the Reynolds number and heat flux. Moreover, the enhanced effect of the corrugated tube depends on both the pitch and the height of ridges. It is found that the heat transfer coefficient of the salt gets a maximum when the ratio of the height of ridge to the pitch is 0.2. The research presented here may provide guidelines for design optimization of receiver tube in CSP system.

Abstract:
In today's knowledge environment, individuals and groups who gather relevant information about the organization's external environment and distribute that information for use by their colleagues, receive increasing attention and are viewed with great importance. These individuals have been named Information Gatekeepers. Thus far, researchers have not established a unanimous and interdisciplinary definition regarding the human information gatekeeper. Nonetheless, a recurrent theme in previous papers regards gatekeepers as a select few throughout the organization. This approach creates two kinds of employees based on a specific set of criteria – those who are gatekeepers and those who are not. The main goal of this research is to examine whether gate keeping is an individual attribute that exists or does not exist within the organization, or whether gate keeping is a continuous attribute that exists within every member and throughout the organization in varying intensity subject to differences in personal characteristics and other factors.
