Public buildings and other public facilities are essential for the functioning and quality of life in modern societies, but they also frequently have a significant negative impact on the natural environment. Although the costs of green buildings have been studied in other countries, they are usually collected from questionaries for the total with certain percentages of cost increase. They do not have the costs of building components that would be difficult to understand the cost changes for green buildings. This research analyzed and compared the costs of green buildings by using five case projects. Green buildings will incur soft cost and hard cost

Abstract:
The expansion of supply chains into global networks has drastically increased the distance travelled along shipping lanes in a logistics system. Inherently, the increase in travel distances produces increased carbon emissions from transport vehicles. When increased emissions are combined with a carbon tax or emissions trading system, the result is a supply chain with increased costs attributable to the emission generated on the transportation routes. Most traditional supply chain design models do not take emissions and carbon costs into account. Hence, there is a need to incorporate emission c

Few papers discuss green building and value engineering at the planning phase. Because of that, less paper discuss databases for green building or cost analysis, even if most of them investigate the "Greenery Index" or "Ground Water Retention Index". Because of that, this study use "Green Building-aided design program" to get green building solutions. As stated above, designers not only want to know green

However, the method for evaluating the cost-benefit of GRs in a city is so far not available. This study was thus initiated to develop a benefit-cost analysis (BCA) method to evaluate major benefits of GRs for a domestic city. To implement the BCA method at the city scale, the rooftop area available for installing GRs is first estimated based on the maximal rooftop ar
