Full textOur purpose is to study the comicality of hybridization and exhibition through the dramatic and paradramatic contemporaneous works. Our analytical investigations does not respect literal chronology. It will not be reduced to a period or some French or French speakers playwrights. First, we will study the comicality in question. Then we will try to focus on the poetics of laughter. The third part will deal with the principal forms of modern comicality. The fourth part defines hybridization in the grotesque comic style and the burlesque modalities of exhibition. The fifth one will focus on how hybridization and exhibition appear through the plays, how the spectator is confronted with the Actor as a Fool who makes him laugh hilariously. So will be drawn the major features of the mutations of the theatral contemporaneous comicality

Full textThe theatricality of death at both Flemish artists Michel de Ghelderode and Jan Fabre is based on acorpus of texts. Divided into three constituent fields of theater - literature, dramaturgy, aesthetic -the objective of my research is focused on a dialogue between a dramatic and a post-dramatic art, inorder to confront or confuse some theatrical elements of both fields through theatricality death. Theliterary part explores the linguistics of the authors texts, from the title of their works to their genres, including the micro and macrostructures, showing that the literature of death is as well in the shapeas in the motives of the writing. The carnavalesc reversals particular to the writers' plays in spite oftheir fundamental differences is found in the dramaturgy field. It focuses on characters, spaces andtimes of death by highlighting what is dramatic play and performative play. The concept of doublein the aesthetics part, is observed through the body and the creative process of the poets; the mirorof the painting on theater is a constant in these works. Finally the double is opposed to the universalthat the christik figure represents, carrier the grotesc by the resurrection. If there are gaps betweenthe various forms of artistic expressions, for Jan Fabre there is continuance between a visuallanguage and a textual language, such continuity between life and death
Ammar, Keskes Neila. "L'expression de la violence dans l’oeuvre de Cormac Mc Carthy." Paris 4, 2007. http://www.theses.fr/2006PA040191.
Full textMcCarthy’s fiction is embedded with violence. McCarthy’s fiction is a re-presentation of American History. An artistic transcription of a daily life weighing heavily on emblematic characters. Tormented nature. Frantic fiction. Moving text, hence, stylistically, the baroque aspect. Style that takes on the form of a tortured, convulsed landscape ; apocalyptic style. Style that gives life to a decrepit and dilapidated nature. Visual and metaphoric style. Style that depicts violence to denounce it even more. Characters that seem to get out of the human kingdom to tend towards the mineral, the vegetal or the animal. Characters that are inscribed in a dynamics proper to the grotesque. The reader is compelled to build up meaning, to set up the logic of meaning. Violence of the universe being described but also violence made out of language and productive of language. Aesthetics of and by means of violence

Full textFrom the early XXth century the Formless, as defined by Georges Bataille in Documents, has revealed itself to be a powerful tool for reflection. It has inspired art works and triggered an ongoing debate about its true meaning, for what is the formless exactly? In search for its essence, this category has proven to be of great value when analyzing theoretical, artistic and literary Renaissance works dealing with the birth of form. The anachronic notion of Formless permits an intertwining of questions regarding the origins of the piece of art, good composition, matter and being. Through this essay we will discuss the poetics of art in the making, so-called (neo)Aristotelian in the XVIth century – poetics in a constant and fluid definition of the Aristotelian meaning enlarged by non-Aristotelian concepts, and categories distant to those attributed to it in classical times
