S’incorporaren a l’estudi tots aquells infants nascuts entre l’1 de gener de 2001 i 31 de desembre de 2008, quedant una mostra de 440 nens de les següents edats gestacionals: prematurs extrems (n = 30), molt prematurs (n = 125), prematurs moderats (n = 124), prematurs tardans (n = 130), i a terme complerts (n = 31).
