We and others previously reported that the direct-acting agents (DAA) NS5A inhibitors (NS5Ai) and the host-targeting agents cyclophilin inhibitors (CypIs) inhibit HCV replication in vitro. In this study, we investigated whether the combination of NS5Ai and CypI offers a potent anti-HCV effect in vivo. A single administration of NS5Ai or CypI alone to HCV-infected humanized-mice inhibits HCV replication. The combination of NS5Ai with CypI suppresses HCV (GT1a, GT2a, GT3a and GT4a) replication in an additive manner. NS5Ai/CypI combinations provide a statistically more profound anti-HCV inhibitio

Abstract:
Abstract This study evaluated the crevice and pitting corrosion characteristics of the Gas Tungsten Arc (GTA) weldment of N-added 4.5% Mo austenitic stainless steels(UNS S34565). Both the Critical Crevice Temperature (CCT) and Critical Pitting Temperature (CPT) of GTA weldments were evaluated in a 6%FeCl3+1%HCl solution simulating a high chloride content and low pH-value condition in which the alloy is used, such as flue-gas desulphurization (FGD) systems incorporated into a power plant. Considering the importance of the geometric factor in the crevice and pitting corrosion behavior of the as-

The City of Toronto is in the middle of “The Big Move”, a 25 year, $50B plan to address congestion in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). This includes 7 new subway or light rail transit lines in various stages of planning or construction, and corresponding major urban densification along major rail corridors in the city. This paper will show how transit infrastructure projects, and projects adjacent to major rail corridors in the GTA, are less economic due to prescriptive based design requirements compared to similar complexity local private projects. Abstract:
A study of the remaining rotor life of gas turbines (or combustion turbines) used in the oil and gas industry was performed by Gas Turbine Materials Associates (GTMA). The study focused upon analytical methods of determining the remaining rotor life using a reduced data set, where not all of the operating data is known. As part of this study, a survey of oil and gas users was performed on their rotor life. An analytical model and methodology for determining the remaining rotor life was developed. This model and methodology was applied to the GE MS5002 gas turbine. By using this model for a PRC
