L’articolo propone un’indagine intorno alle nuove forme dell’epica, intesa come dispositivo poetico in grado di rispondere alle istanze sociali e storiche del presente e di strutturare un immaginario rinnovato che guardi al futuro. Dopo aver introdotto alcuni riferimenti teorici, come il concetto di iperoggetto (Morton) e quello di futurabilità (Berardi), svolgo l’analisi stilistico-tematica di tre raccolte poetiche: Ogni cinque bracciate di Vincenzo Frungillo, L’invasione dei granchi giganti di Federico Italiano e Finisterre di Matteo Meschiari. El descubrimiento y significado de espacios ligados a La Corte desde etapas tempranas de la enseñanza, puede ayudar a comprender la organización del territorio de Madrid, recreando la vida cortesana mediante el reconocimiento de elementos patrimoniales: palacios, el viario, personajes, costumbres y elementos naturales como son los bosques, cursos fluviales, fauna, entre otros que guardan relación con los Sitios Reales. La propuesta educativa toma en consideración la Comunidad de Madrid y se hace un diagnóstico de las propuestas educativas que ofrece Patrimonio Nacional para el profesorado.

Abstract:
This article examines the control framework for the supervision and oversight of charitable trusts in the common law world. It outlines in Section 1 the fundamental differences between private and public trusts that necessitate a separate enforcement regime for charitable trusts before exploring in Section 2 the historical and political powers and duties of the Attorney General as parens patriae of charities. In light of the limitations of the Attorney General’s effective scrutiny, Section 3 considers the emergence of alternative charity regulators – from tax authorities to independent charity commissions – comparing the relative regulatory achievements of these agencies with that of the Attorney General (AG). Section 4 turns its attention to the role of the courts and tribunals in the enforcement of the interests of donors, beneficiaries and charitable entities. The article concludes in Section 5 with a discussion of the merits and demerits of the charitable trust vis-à-vis the public benefit foundation and explores whether civil law systems intent on adopting the trust need to rethink their enforcement options when it comes to charitable trust enforcement.

El presente artículo de reflexión crítica aborda la participación ciudadana juvenil en unas sociedades globales, tecnificadas e interconectadas virtualmente. La discusión estará orientada por el pensamiento del teórico social Alberto Melucci, quien desde una perspectiva crítica, discute sobre las nuevas fronteras para reflexionar la ciudadanía, integradas por la diferencia y la solidaridad; la inclusión y la exclusión; y los espacios reales para vivir la democracia; todas ellas distribuidas de manera desigual. Estas ideas hacen parte constitutiva de las interconexiones que guardan con las experiencias educativas de los jóvenes y con las formas como ellas y ellos están viviendo la ciudadanía en un mundo complejo y diferenciado, poniendo en evidencia las posibilidades reales de la participación ciudadana juvenil en Colombia.

Abstract:
Este estudio se deriva de una investigación desarrollada desde el año 2018 por el Grupo de Estudios sobre Sistemas Educativos (GESE) adscrito a la Universidad Nacional de Educación de Ecuador. Se trabajó con cinco docentes mejores puntuados de las provincias de Azuay y Cañar de acuerdo con la prueba “Ser Maestro” aplicada por el Instituto Nacional de Evaluación Educativa (INEVAL) en el 2016. El objetivo de la investigación fue identificar las particularidades didácticas de la práctica de los docentes de excelencia. Para ello, se utilizó una metodología basada en el enfoque cualitativo y en el método narrativo, siendo la observación áulica y la entrevista las principales técnicas, para la recolección de datos. Los resultados reflejan que los docentes de excelencia, desde su propia mirada, han asumido distintas formas de enseñar, que; si bien guardan elementos comunes, son sus particulares las que han permitido alcanzar procesos educativos de calidad.

Abstract:
The Constitutional Court was formed to maintain the integrity of the Constitution through a deeper interpretation based on the 1945 Constitution. This journal discusses the influence of CC Decision No. 90/PUU-XXI/2023 on the Authority and Dignity of the Constitutional Court as Guardian of the Constitution. The study combines a literature review methodology with a qualitative approach. The research results show that CC Decision No. 90/PUU-XXI/2023 is contrary to the Constitutional Court's authority based on the 1945 Constitution. The addition of new regulations that were previously unregulated or not is not outside the Constitutional Court's jurisdiction, but rather the legislative authority. Research examines the importance of maintaining judicial neutrality to prevent abuse of power. The Constitutional Court, as the Guardian of the Constitution, must pay attention to the rights of citizens and maintain the balance of power. With this controversial decision, in the context of the CC authority which should be limited to constitutional review and maintaining the neutral role of the judiciary in fighting abuse of power by the legislature and executive. Even though the Constitutional Court is the final decision maker on laws based on the 1945 Constitution, its authority is limited to reviewing laws and is not involved in the legislative realm.

Abstract:
El pago de las guardas reales, el principal cuerpo militar de Castilla a fines de la Edad Media, dependió del crédito de unos financieros, los obligados, que adelantaban el mismo, recuperando luego las cantidades sobre las rentas ordinarias. Pese a la estabilidad que se le ha presupuesto, este sistema no estuvo exento de cambios ni problemas. El asiento para estas en 1505 constituye un ejemplo, impidiendo las dificultades fiscales aportar el total previsto por los obligados. Tal situación solo se solucionó tras la llegada a Castilla de Felipe el Hermoso en 1506, que negoció un importante préstamo con fray Francisco Jiménez de Cisneros para pagar lo adeudado el año anterior. Ello mientras promovía grandes cambios, en parte forzados por la situación hacendística, sobre la manera en que habrían de pagarse las mismas a partir de entonces, culminando un plan de reforma que su temprana muerte impidió llevar a término.

L’argomento di questa tesi è dedicato alla Guardia Reale, un corpo particolare, scelto, sempre al servizio dell’Imperatore. Di solito quando immaginiamo l’epoca napoleonica, la prima cosa che viene in mente sono le guerre ed i militari e di questi argomenti parleremo in primo luogo. Naturalmente, nessuna formazione militare può essere organizzata senza reclutamento. Nell’apposito capitolo riguardiamo le modalità e tutte le eccezione particolari. Tratteremo di ogni corpo della Guardia Reale riferendoci ai documenti trovati negli archivi che ci permettono di riprodurli. Prestiamo un’attenzione particolare alla descrizione dettagliata delle uniformi di ciascuna arma. Grazie alle immagini il lavoro fatto ci rende possibile esaminare non solo la differenza delle divise, ma anche riconoscere i gradi degli ufficiali superiori e capire meglio e direttamente la diversità che le contraddistingue. Rivolgendoci al capitolo dedicato alle campagne militari cerchiamo di capire in quali battaglie parteciparono direttamente i soldati della Guardia Reale e valuteremo il loro “contributo” all’uno o all’altro combattimento. Penultimo capitolo prevede l’opinione personale, relativa allo spirito dell’esercito sviluppatosi al massimo livello proprio durante questi vent’anni di guerre napoleoniche, accompagnata dalla visione individuale dell’epoca descritta.

Abstract:
En este trabajo hemos investigado las nuevas entradas en el Diccionario de la lengua Española (DRAE) y los neologismos en el Banco de neologismos construido por el Observatori de Neologia, con el enfoque en los préstamos de estos corpus, haciendo una comparación entre ellos para averiguar las posibles diferencias y la posible influencia de una postura restrictiva de la Real Academia Española sobre estas diferencias. El resultado confirma una frecuencia menor de préstamos en el DRAE, y notamos que el francés y el latín son contribuyentes en mayor grado en el diccionario que en el Banco de neologismos, mientras la relación es la inversa para el inglés, que por otra parte constituye el idioma de origen más frecuente de los préstamos en ambos corpus. Constatamos una adaptación ortográfica de los préstamos más extensa en el diccionario, pero no vemos diferencias destacables en cuanto al dominio contextual de los préstamos.  En resumen, las diferencias son en gran medida coherentes con la supuesta actitud de la RAE en retener una unidad de la lengua española.

Resumo: Este trabalho tomou como norte a pergunta qual o significado do ato educador do professor de matemática em uma escola destinada a trabalhar com jovens em cumprimento de medidas sócio- educativas? . Foi relatada a experiência vivida em uma escola do Rio de Janeiro, que tem por objetivo trabalhar com jovens que estão em conflito com a lei. Foi descrita a ação conjunta de duas Secretarias de Estado a de Justiça e a de Educação, mostrando o trabalho isolado de cada uma, a situação de estranhamento dos professores da educação e a ação de vigilância dos agentes da Justiça. Foram evidenciadas as situações de ensino, em ambiente desprovido de liberdade, e descrita a dinâmica do cotidiano de professores, alunos e agentes da justiça. Foram efetuadas descrições e análises de relatos e por fim foi apresentada a compreensão da educação que se deu nessa situação, caracterizada como abertura para possibilidades educadoras que ocorrem ao se estar com o outro, de modo atento, transcendendo a situação educar/vigiar, que caracteriza a falta de liberdade.
Abstract: The research question that guided this study was What is the meaning of the educational act for a mathematics teacher in a school for youth who are completing a social-educational penal sentence? I report on an experience in a school in Rio de Janeiro whose objective is to work with youth who are in conflict with the law. A joint action by two State Secretaries was described, the Secretaries of Justice and of Education, showing the isolated work of each, the strange situation for the teachers from Education, and the guard actions of the agents from Justice. The teaching situations were shown, in an environment without liberty, and the daily dynamic of the teachers, the students, and the agents was described. Descriptions and analyses of the reports were carried out, and finally a comprehension of the education that took place in this situation was presented, characterized as an opening for educational possibilities that occur when being with the other, in an attentive fashion, transcending the educate/guard situation that characterizes the lack of liberty.

A infecção por Cryptosporidium parvum em bovinos se manifesta como enfermidade subclínica ou com presença de morbidade e mortalidade, particularmente quando há associação com outros agentes infecciosos. Cryptosporidium parvum apresenta ainda grande importância em saúde pública. Este trabalho teve como objetivo o desenvolvimento da reação em cadeia da polimerase em tempo real (qPCR) para detecção de C. parvum em amostras fecais de bezerros e sua comparação com a reação em cadeia da polimerase (nested PCR), rotineiramente utilizada para diagnóstico de Cryptosporidium spp.. Duzentas e nove amostras fecais de bezerros entre um dia e seis meses de idade foram examinadas pela qPCR para amplificação de fragmentos do gene da actina e pela nested PCR para o gene da subunidade 18S do rRNA. A qPCR apresentou positividade para C. parvum em 73,21% (153/209) das amostras, enquanto a nested PCR apresentou amplificação positiva para Cryptosporidium spp. em 56,5% (118/209) das amostras. A sensibilidade analítica da qPCR foi de aproximadamente um oocisto de C. parvum. Não se observou amplificação inespecífica de DNA Cryptosporidium bovis, Cryptosporidium andersoni, Cryptosporidium ryanae, Cryptosporidium canis, Cryptosporidium serpentis, Cryptosporidium galli, Cryptosporidium baileyi e Cryptosporidium genótipo II de aves. Desta forma, conclui-se que a qPCR para o gene da actina é uma técnica sensível e específica para detecção de C. parvum em amostras fecais de bezerros

Two hundred and nine fecal samples from calves aged between one day and six weeks were screened by qPCR specific for the actin gene of C. parvum and using nested PCR targeting the 18S rRNA gene of Cryptosporidium spp.. The qPCR showed positivity for C. parvum in 73,21% (153/209) of the samples, and nested PCR was positive for Cryptosporidium spp. in 56.5% (118/209) of the samples. The analytical sensitivity of qPCR foi de aproximadamente one oocyst C. parvum per reaction tube. Evaluation of analytical specificity did not reveal inespecific amplification for DNA of the following Cryptosporidium species and genotypes: C. bovis, C. andersoni, C. ryanae, C. canis, C. serpentis, C. galli, C. baileyi and avian genotype II. Este trabalho tomou como norte a pergunta qual o significado do ato educador do professor de matemática em uma escola destinada a trabalhar com jovens em cumprimento de medidas sócio- educativas? . Foi relatada a experiência vivida em uma escola do Rio de Janeiro, que tem por objetivo trabalhar com jovens que estão em conflito com a lei. Foi descrita a ação conjunta de duas Secretarias de Estado a de Justiça e a de Educação, mostrando o trabalho isolado de cada uma, a situação de estranhamento dos professores da educação e a ação de vigilância dos agentes da Justiça. Foram evidenciadas as situações de ensino, em ambiente desprovido de liberdade, e descrita a dinâmica do cotidiano de professores, alunos e agentes da justiça. Foram efetuadas descrições e análises de relatos e por fim foi apresentada a compreensão da educação que se deu nessa situação, caracterizada como abertura para possibilidades educadoras que ocorrem ao se estar com o outro, de modo atento, transcendendo a situação educar/vigiar, que caracteriza a falta de liberdade.
The research question that guided this study was What is the meaning of the educational act for a mathematics teacher in a school for youth who are completing a social-educational penal sentence? I report on an experience in a school in Rio de Janeiro whose objective is to work with youth who are in conflict with the law. A joint action by two State Secretaries was described, the Secretaries of Justice and of Education, showing the isolated work of each, the strange situation for the teachers from Education, and the guard actions of the agents from Justice. The teaching situations were shown, in an environment without liberty, and the daily dynamic of the teachers, the students, and the agents was described. Descriptions and analyses of the reports were carried out, and finally a comprehension of the education that took place in this situation was presented, characterized as an opening for educational possibilities that occur when being with the other, in an attentive fashion, transcending the educate/guard situation that characterizes the lack of liberty.

José Maria Dantas Pereira (1772-1836) foi um dos protagonistas da História Marítima portuguesa, nomeadamente no ensino náutico, fruto da elevada dedicação com que serviu a Companhia dos Guardas Marinhas. Mas para além do seu prodigioso percurso na ilustre instituição, Dantas Pereira realizou ainda notáveis empresas em diversos outros domínios, tendo se destacado com o seu espírito empreendedor na produção e difusão do conhecimento científico, tanto na Marinha, como a nível nacional. Da sua obra, estudamos com maior detalhe na presente dissertação o trabalho de Dantas Pereira na conceção de uma pasigrafia, um sistema de escrita universal. Estes contributos, tendo sido pioneiros em solo nacional, constituem um marco importante na análise da obra deste oficial de Marinha, bem como na história da ciência portuguesa, evidenciando a versatilidade de Dantas Pereira, que para além de militar, revela ter sido um ilustre pensador português. Em adição a isto, face ao impacto que o nosso biografado teve no estabelecimento do ensino náutico do século XIX, analisamos a sua carreira de Marinha, desde os seus tempos de discípulo em 1788, até ao seu exílio em 1834. Para este efeito, fornecemos o nosso próprio apontamento biográfico, onde destacamos a prestação que Dantas Pereira durante a sua formação, os seus feitos enquanto Comandante da insigne Companhia e servidor do Estado, e as circunstâncias do final da sua vida. Por forma a identificar quais terão sido os outros objetos de estudo e interesse de Dantas Pereira, será ainda exposta a sua bibliografia, dividida nas diferentes áreas que este estudou, bem como os trabalhos que apresentou nas instituições científicas do seu tempo, nomeadamente a Sociedade Real Marítima, e a Academia Real das Ciências de Lisboa.
José Maria Dantas Pereira was one protagonist of the Portuguese Maritime History, namely in the nautical teaching area, as a product of his overwhelming dedication with which he served the Marine Guards Company. But besides his stupendous route in the enlightened institution, Dantas Pereira performed as well notable deeds in many other domains, being distinguished for his pushful spirit concerning the creation and diffusion of scientific knowledge, both in the Navy and national domains. From his literature, we studied with greater focus his works regarding pasygraphy, a universal writing system. These contributions, being pioneers on national territory, are an important mark on the analysis of this navy officer bibliography, as well on the history of Portuguese science, illustrating the versality of Dantas Pereira, who, besides a military, reveals to have been an enlightened Portuguese thinker. In addition to this, and because of the impact that our character had in the institution of nautical teaching in the XIX century, we analyzed his naval career, since his disciple times, in 1788, until his exile in 1834. For this, we give our own biographical notes, revealing Dantas Pereira outstanding performance during his education, his accomplishments as both Commander of the prestigious Company and State servant, as well as the circumstances of the final stages of his life. To identify other subjects of interest by Dantas Pereira, his bibliography will also be exposed, divided in the different areas that he studied, as well as the works that he presented to the scientific institutions of his time, namely the Royal Maritime Society, and the Lisbon Royal Sciences Academy

O estágio referente ao presente relatório foi realizado na equipa sênior do Real Sport Clube, durante a época 2019/2020, visando a conclusão de curso e a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Futebol – Da formação à alta competição, curso ministrado pela Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. Este relatório tem como objetivo abordar todo aquele que foi o processo de estágio realizado e desenvolvido como treinador de Guarda-Redes de Futebol no meu local de estágio, a partir de uma perspetiva individual resultante da experiência no terreno vivida por mim próprio, procurando entender qual o papel do treinador de GR e a sua intervenção. O treinador de Guarda-Redes caracteriza-se como um elemento essencial na estrutura de uma equipa técnica, uma vez que o Guarda-Redes apresenta uma posição muito específica no jogo de Futebol. Este técnico tem como responsabilidade procurar dar resposta a aquelas que são as necessidades específicas dos seus Guarda-Redes. O papel interventivo deste elemento técnico não se esgota no treino ou no jogo do Guarda-Redes, por isso, para que este possa ser de excelência deverá de dominar questões técnicas, relacionais e pessoais. Para além disso, o treinador de Guarda-Redes deverá procurar conhecer o contexto de trabalho em que se encontra, e os seus recursos para que possa desempenhar o melhor possível o seu trabalho. Ao longo da época desportiva foram realizados 35 microciclos, 5 no período pré-competitivo e 30 no período competitivo, tendo sido contabilizadas cerca de 165 unidades de treino. Referente ao processo competitivo, a equipa sénior do Real Sport Clube terminou o campeonato em segundo lugar da série D do Campeonato de Portugal, realizando 25 jogos oficiais, e registando 17 vitórias, 6 empates e 2 derrotas, resultando em 57 pontos realizados. Foram contabilizados 58 golos marcados e 16 golos sofridos
The internship related to this report was carried out by the senior team of Real Sport Clube, during the 2019/2020 season, aiming at the conclusion of the course and obtaining the degree of Master in Football - From training to high competition, course taught by Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. This report aims to address all that was the internship process carried out and developed as a Soccer Goalkeeper coach at my internship location, from an individual perspective resulting from the field experience lived by myself, trying to understand which the role of the GR coach and his intervention. The goalkeeper coach is an essential element in the structure of a technical team since the goalkeeper has a very specific position in the game of football. This coach has the responsibility to seek to respond to those that are the specific needs of his Goal-keepers. The interventional role of this technical element is not limited to the training or the game of the Goalkeeper, therefore, for him to be of excellence he must master tech-nical, relational, and personal issues. In addition, the goalkeeper coach should seek to know the work context in which he finds himself, and his resources so that he can do his job as well as possible. Throughout the sporting season, 35 microcycles were performed, 5 in the pre-competitive period and 30 in the competitive period, with around 165 training units counted. Regarding the competitive process, the senior team of Real Sport Clube fin-ished the championship in second place in the D series of the Portuguese Championship, making 25 official matches, registering 17 wins, 6 draws and 2 losses, resulting in 57 points made. There were 58 goals scored and 16 goals conceded.

Nos dias de hoje cada vez mais são utilizados os smartphones devido à sua massificação durante os últimos anos. Estes tendem cada vez mais a ser utilizados para tarefas, que até então, eram executadas por outros dispositivos. Esta dissertação é centrada no desenvolvimento de um sistema de apoio a rondas de segurança, com a utilização de um smartphone Android. É pretendido tirar proveito das tecnologias já integradas nos smartphones e monitorização em tempo-real do sistema. Cada segurança deverá estar munido de um smartphone com ligação à internet e com NFC (Near Field Communication). NFC é uma tecnologia de transmissão de dados sem fios com distância menor a quinze centímetros que começa a surgir nos smartphones mais recentes. O segurança ao fazer a sua ronda deverá passar por diversos checkpoints sendo a tecnologia NFC utilizada para a leitura de informação dos mesmos. No smartphone o segurança terá disponível também a sua ronda atual e deteção de queda/pânico. Os smartphones estarão ligados a um servidor que é gerido por um supervisor através de um WebSite. Neste, é possível visualizar todos os acontecimentos dos seguranças, controlar passagem por checkpoints, monitorizar alertas e designar novos checkpoints ou seguranças. Pretende-se com o desenvolvimento desta dissertação, criar um sistema com a utilização de smartphones e fazer um protótipo que se poderá tornar num produto final.
The use of Smartphones has become significantly more popular. These are increasingly being used for tasks that until now were done by other devices. The aim of this project is the development of a support system for security rounds, using an android smartphone and the reduction of carried devices by the guard and a real time monitoring. Each guard must have a smartphone with network connection and NFC (Near Field Communication). NFC is a technology for wireless data transmission with low range that begins to be incorporated with the newer smartphones. While doing his round, the guard must pass through several checkpoints in which the NFC technology will be used to read the checkpoint details. Smartphone has other functionalities, such as, information about actual round and fall/panic detection. A supervisor manages a server where all smartphones will be connected. He can view all events regarding guards: to control checkpoints presences, monitoring alerts and to assign new checkpoints or guards. In conclusion the objective of this thesis is to create a system that uses smartphones and make a prototype that could become a final product.

AbstractThis chapter studies how host communities in the Danish town of Aarhus and the Swedish town of Uppsala approached the question of providing security in everyday interaction with prisoners of war during the Great Northern War (1700–1721). Blomqvist argues that the prisoner policy of the Danish and Swedish crown tapped into established systems of public hospitality, modeled on the billeting of military personnel. The crown employed norms of hospitality to mobilize local resources for the war effort, delegating the cost of feeding and guarding the prisoners onto the host community. At the same time, negotiations between the state and the host community regarding the legitimacy of the prisoner policy redefined the very notions of hospitality. The prisoner policy relinquished the idea that public hospitality was founded on a fundamental solidarity between members of the community of the realm. Prisoners of war were entitled to hospitality, despite the fact that they were not members of the realm, but, quite the opposite, identified as enemies. Instead, the prisoners were expected to compensate their host by performing labor. Through service arrangements, the prisoners were formally placed in a subordinate position to their hosts and employers, expected to serve and obey. This negotiated hospitality served both as an integrative and an excluding force in the two towns.

This chapter focuses on NATO, the institutional core of Pax Transatlantica. Since the end of the Cold War, NATO has enlarged its membership and ventured beyond its immediate neighborhood. Its significance as a security actor has been enhanced, not least because of the actions of the Russian Federation in Georgia, Ukraine, and Syria. By 2020, NATO was bigger and more engaged than ever before, with military capacities that dwarfed those of any of its real or potential adversaries. Yet, the success story was hampered by widespread pessimism about NATO’s future on both sides of the Atlantic. In fact, the post–Cold War era had seen numerous inter-alliance crises: the Iraq War of 2003 being the most obvious example. Nevertheless, three decades after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, NATO retained its function as the basic building block of Pax Transatlantica.

Police departments incentivize officer behavior through a variety of organizational mechanisms. This chapter focuses on one such mechanism—official departmental awards—to explore what kind of police work is formally rewarded within the police department. Using five years of departmental award data from a police department in the United States, this chapter shows that departmental awards perpetuate the value of dangerous, masculine crime fighting often equated to “real” police work that is aligned with a so-called “Warrior” mentality. In contrast, awards for “soft” or “Guardian” behaviors, though less common overall, make up a larger proportion of awards given to female officers. These findings highlight the salience of departmental awards in the perpetuation of a policing ethos that is out of step with contemporary calls to temper policing’s traditionally enforcement-centric operations. Structural changes that can incentivize police behaviors more in line with a Guardian approach to policing are considered.

Abstract Objective/Scope As fields mature, the need to perform well interventions drastically increases. The process of identifying, requesting, and preparing an intervention is complex and data can be neither reliable nor easily accessible. Well Guardian, an innovative digital tool, was developed to improve well health monitoring and to reduce time-to-intervention by optimizing engineering processes and providing well data to engineers quickly. Methods, Procedures, Process Well Guardian followed the Scrum process, a specific Agile methodology that serves to facilitate a project. Scrum provides a framework for developing, delivering and sustaining products in a complex environment and relies on incremental development, typically done in uniform iterations called Sprints. Framing of the digital tool started in January 2021 and its first deployment in the UK affiliate was in June 2021 (initially to cover two assets). Subsequent features and functionalities of Well Guardian were released iteratively, achieving full scale-up to all the affiliate assets in September 2021. Results, Observations, Conclusions Well Guardian is the result of an exceptional collaboration between technical disciplines enabled by a dedicated digital team. It has solved a variety of obstacles by centralizing many disparate data sources into one accessible portal. The outcome: it provides a single source of truth and live well monitoring, generating economic business value in less than one year. Well Guardian enables engineers to prioritize their time on the more complex parts of a well intervention, encouraging a proactive rather than reactive approach. The digitalization of the previously manual Well Intervention Request (WIR) process is an example of Well Guardian successfully optimizing an engineering process. The digital WIR allows all stakeholders to have clarity and visibility on the planning and execution of interventions; completing activities is more efficient and thus, restoring wells to their full production potential and accelerating production is possible at a quicker rate. The Proposed Solution is Smart wearable bands and helmets equipped with a variety of sensors for tracking employee health and safety. The technology, which is supported by a connected wearable belt, continuously tracks worker location and health parameters. An advanced accelerometer detects workers' standing positions, triggering instant notifications to contractors in the event of dizziness. A Spo2 sensor enhances total health surveillance by monitoring oxygen and pulse rates in addition to the foregoing. This proposed system transcends traditional safety protocols, presenting a dynamic and proactive approach to worker well-being. By leveraging advanced sensor technologies and location-based intelligence, our smart wearables provide real-time health insights and prompt alerts during health compromises or accidents.

Abstract:
The growing need of design of safety guards for industrial workers led to the need for experimentation in the field of ballistics, typically used in the military research. In the last few years some international standards for the safety of machine tools have been developed, such as the ISO 23125: 2010, improving the ballistic protection of safety guards. But it is still possible to find in the market a large quantity of machine tools with doubtful real protective characteristics of guards. The uncontrolled projection of parts of work piece or tools can often cause very dangerous perforations of the safety guards. In such a way specific experimental tests like the ones conducted in EU, have assured the possibility to write appendices of ISO standards for safety guards design of machine tools. These tests are based on impact between a particular standardized projectile, which exemplifies an impacting fragment of variable size and energy, and a flat plate placed in the trajectory of the projectile. The penetration or buckling of the target determines the non-suitability of a particular material of a given thickness, for the design and production of safety guards. However these tests, have the following limitations: they are valid only for: a limited type of thickness and materials, a perpendicular impact with flat plates of about 500 mm × 500 mm and when the standardized penetrator is a cylinder with a prismatic head. Moreover another limitation arises for the design of real safety guards: difficulties in taking into account curved design of guards such as the ones typically used in the spindles of machine tools. Moreover it is very difficult to take into account innovative materials different from the ones provided by the standards and also it is impossible to consider projected objects whose geometry is not regular, for example fragmented parts of tools, broken as a result of a wrong manoeuvre of the machine user. The main focus of this paper is to test the applicability of numerical methods for the simulation of impacts on steel sheets of standardized penetrators for the numerical design and validation of industrial safety guards. Correlation between experimental penetration tests found in international papers and optimized numerical tests will be presented.

Abstract:
ALKOR cruise AL590 took place as part of the project CONMAR (https://conmarmunition.eu/) which is part of the DAM mission sustainMare (https://www.sustainmare.de/). It was the continuation of the munition monitoring started within the BMBF‐funded project UDEMM (Environmental Monitoring for the Delaboration of Munition in the Sea; https://udemm.geomar.de/), the EMFF (European Maritime and Fisheries Fund) ‐funded projects BASTA (Boost Applied munition detection through Smart data detection in and AI workflows; https://www.basta‐munition.eu) and ExPloTect (Ex‐situ, near‐real‐time detection compound detection in seawater). ALKOR worked for two weeks in the Baltic Sea in the munition dumpsites Kolberger Heide, Falshöft, in Lübeck Bight and west of Rügen. Munition sites were mapped via hydroacoustic (multibeam and synthetic aperture sonar) and visual (ROV and towed camera) methods. Water samples were taken for explosive- type compounds and eDNA analysis and sediment samples for macro faunal distribution studies. A change of crew happened on 24th March in Neustadt i.H. with support of the Coast Guard t of the federal police.
