The article addresses the issue of shaping the historical memory of the general public in Kyiv, including both residents and visitors, namely Ukrainians, during the Soviet era and the early years of Ukraine’s independence. The author analyzed the content of guidebooks on Kyiv’s city center, specifically focusing on Volodymyrska Street. This article explores changes over time in the manner in which multiculturalism in Vilnius was shown and evaluated in tourist guidebooks written between 1856 and 1939. It provides an overview of narratives which serves as a background reflecting the uniqueness of Zalmen Szyk’s Yiddish-language publication Toyznt yor Vilne (1939). This paper explores how discourses of giftedness informed attitudes towards parenting in the United States from 1920 to 1960. Using psychologists’ studies of giftedness, media coverage of the topic, and guidebooks for parents of gifted children, I argue that giftedness emerged in the 1910s, and by the 1920s addressed a newly limited definition of intelligence and problems in urban public education, coinciding with the popularity of the culture and personality school. Abstract:

Currently, modern cats (Felidae) are divided into 8 lineages (phylogenetic lines), which include 14 genera and approximately 40 modern species (Загороднюк та ін., 2022). The cat collection of the State Museum of Natural History NASU, like all vertebrate collections, has a regional character, therefore it is represented by only two species: European wildcat – Felis silvestris Schreber, 1775 and Eurasian lynx – Lynx lynx (Linnaeus, 1758).
