This study is focused on investigating the variation patterns of macroinvertebrate guilds functional structure, in relation to the taxonomic one, across aquatic ecosystem types along the salinity gradient from freshwater to marine and the resulting implications on guild organization and energy flows. Food is one of the crucial factors for the survival of birds. The interaction between habitats and birds, as well as the role of birds as environmental bioindicators, can be understood through feeding guilds by examining their responses to disturbances. This study aims to analyze the feeding guilds of bird communities on Pasoso Island. The data collection method used was the strip transect method. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis based on bird species composition according to their guilds. The results of this study show that 33 bird species were found on Pasoso Island, classified

This thesis examines how biblical typology was used in early modern Scotland. It focuses on the works of the Aberdonian minister and theologian, William Guild (1586–1657), who was one of the most prominent seventeenth-‐century typological exegetes. His handbook, Moses Unvailed (1620), has been repeatedly noted as one of the key works in the development of Protestant typology. Yet his typological exegesis has not been properly explored. Indeed, detailed analysis of Guild’s life and works has been lacking. This study seeks to address those issues. Chapter One offers an updated biography of Guil

The method employed was qualitative in nature, using eight in-depth interviews with the mothers. The interviews confirmed that parents experience emotions similar to those when grieving. They also tend to feel isolated from their communities. Before embarking on a support program the school needs to recognize the depth of these emotions. Abstract Scholars have often stressed—and rightly so—that all Greco-Roman voluntary associations, including the so-called ‘professional’ ones, were religious. But this can be said of every social group in the ancient world. It does not tell us much about the role of religion to associations formed on the basis of common occupations and expressing their identity through occupational markers. Nilson (1957) famously argued that for ancient private associations religion was merely a pretext for throwing a party. In these interactions, the individual responses of each parasitoid in the community vary in accordance with intra and interspecific host-plant variation.

Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is a type of focal epilepsy that can begin in one or more regions of the temporal lobe and spread to adjacent brain tissue via neural connections and can be divided into two types according to the Classification of Epileptic Syndromes (ILAE 2017). The most common is mesial temporal lobe epilepsy, which affects temporal regions such as the hippocampus, entorhinal cortex, amygdala, and parahippocampal gyrus. The second type is lateral or neocortical, where seizures occur in the temporal neocortex (superior, medial and inferior temporal, temporooccipital and temporopa

Abstract:
Long-term bird banding data were collected from 1996–2019 (except in 2008) to assess the New River riparian zone avian community in one location in New River Gorge National River (NERI). The NERI banding station has banded over 4,500 individuals over 10,700 net hours in the twenty-three years it has been in operation and has captured 80 different species. Total captures, capture rate, and total species have been declining annually over the study period. Species associated with early-successional/shrubland habitat also declined over the study period, which is consistent with regional trends dur

Plant community monitoring at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield (NB) focused on the restored tallgrass prairie community. Six monitoring sites were visited four times and observations of plant species and ground cover were made. In addition to those observations, we included two environmental factors in this report—precipitation and recent fire history—to help understand the vegetation data status and trends. Precipitation data (standardized vegetation index) indicated drought conditions in 2012 and some dry periods in 2016. Although prairies are adapted to drought, we found that species ric
