Abstract:
From the 1960s to the 1980s, many schools throughout the country installed synthetic flooring in indoor gymnasiums that contained mercury which was used as a catalyst in the polyurethane formulation. Many of these floors now have been found to be releasing mercury vapors into the school gymnasiums, leading to a concern that these mercury concentrations might be elevated enough to cause harmful effects. This paper examines data that have been collected from 57 different school gymnasiums using portable devices, such as the Lumex RA-915+ Portable Mercury Vapor Analyzer, and aggregated for analyses, then compares this data to that obtained in chamber tests performed on samples obtained directly from a gymnasium with mercury-containing floors. The overall objective of this paper is to determine if the chamber tests can adequately emulate mercury emissions in school gymnasiums, and using the results of the laboratory experiments, successfully analyze the emissions curve to determine what factors drive the profile. The laboratory testing was successful in emulating the condition of a school gymnasium, as data collected from the laboratory setting was comparable to the measured field data. The average mercury concentration in the gymnasium yielded an emission rate 3.1E-05 ug/m2s, while the calculated laboratory emission rate was 3.2E-05 ug/m2s, a negligible difference. The overall objective was met, as it was determined that floor samples taken from a gymnasium could be measured in the laboratory with similar results to those screened in the actual gym with handheld devices. Additionally, using the data collected in the chamber experiments, the emissions profile was characterized.

Resumo: As academias ao ar livre (AAL's), conjunto de aparelhos para treinamentos funcionais, surgiram como forma de incentivar o desenvolvimento de atividades ao ar livre. Esses modelos de mobiliário urbano contemporâneo estão localizados em espaços abertos (ruas, praças, parques), sejam públicos ou privados. O uso desses equipamentos está diretamente relacionado com a qualidade do ambiente físico em que estão inseridos, no entanto, os estudos que abordam a qualidade dessa nova modalidade, ainda, são muito recentes e pouco explorados. Para contribuir com essa questão, o objetivo da pesquisa foi criar um método de avaliação da qualidade do ambiente físico de academias ao ar livre (AAL's) a partir da definição de temas e indicadores de avaliação. Através de análise da revisão bibliográfica foi possível destacar os temas "acessibilidade, conforto, uso e atividades e sociabilidade", os indicadores de cada um e as seguintes categorias de avaliação: Base - superfície onde os equipamentos das AAL's estão instalados; a Superfície Fronteira - espaço público de inserção das AAL's e o Entorno - espaço urbano circundante a superfície fronteira. Assim, a metodologia proposta foi dividida em três fases: Fase 1 - Definição de temas e indicadores de avaliação das AAL's; Fase 2 - Desenvolvimento de um índice de avaliação das AAL's; Fase 3 - Validação da metodologia. Abstract: The outdoor gyms (AAL's), a set of equipment for functional training, have emerged as a way to encourage the development of outdoor activities. These kind of contemporary urban furniture are located in open spaces (streets, squares, parks), whether public or private. The use of this equipment is directly related to the quality of the physical environment in which they are inserted, however, studies that address the quality of this new modality are still very recent and little explored. In order to contribute to this issue, the objective of the research was to create a method to assess the quality of the physical environment of outdoor gyms (AAL's) from the definition of themes and evaluation indicators. Through the analysis of the bibliographic review it was possible to highlight the themes "accessibility, comfort, use and activities and sociability", the indicators of each and the following categories of evaluation: Base - surface where AAL equipment is installed; Border area - public space for the insertion of AAL's and surroundings - urban space around the border surface. Thus, the proposed methodology was divided into three phases: Phase 1 - Definition of themes and indicators for evaluation of AALs; Phase 2 - Development of an AAL's evaluation index; Phase 3 - Validation of the methodology. The aim of this paper is to examine the different learning strategies among the students of primary and upper-secondary schools and their use by developing the different proficiencies of modern languages. This study will also try to clarify if and how these strategies differ between the students of primary and upper-secondary schools and what cognitive, metacognitive and social effective aspects lie beyond these differences. The data used in the presented paper is previous research made on different learning strategies and their use in the modern language education in primary and upper secondary schools. This paper also uses a number of interviews with the pupils from primary and upper-secondary schools in order to illustrate if and how the use of their strategies differs and what aspects contribute to this difference.

This master‘s final paper formulates the problems of image creation in educational organizations (gymnasiums), it also analyses the technique of image formation in organization examining the concept of organization’s image, reputation, discussing the principal features, types and the meaning of image. A lot of attention was paid to the analyses of organization’s image creation and management, i.e. identity, the main elements of which are- culture, communication and visual identity. The master paper presents possible models of image’s creation and strategic management which are adapted according to the features of educational institutions. The analyses of the image of Šiauliai gymnasiums have been carried out, on the grounds of employees (teachers) and consumers (parents) attitude to the phenomenon. The master’s final paper proves these hypotheses: I. the influence of image is very important to the successful management of gymnasium as it can be considered the way of communication with society and it helps to form the favourable attitude towards the educational institution. Abstract:
This study is about the role explicit grammar teaching plays in Swedish schoolbooks for beginners in German as a foreign language. The study is a qualitative content analysis of three schoolbooks (published in 1982, in 1995 and in 2016) for step 1 German as a foreign language in the Swedish upper secondary school. It is analysed how grammar is explained respectively practised, and a comparison between the schoolbooks is carried out. Further are the explanation of the grammar and the exercises regarding language-learning methods analysed, based on theories of language learning: the grammar-translation method, audio-lingual and audiovisual methods, the direct method, cognitivist learning theory, constructivist learning theory and communicative language teaching. The result of the study is that there are differences as well as similarities between the schoolbooks, regarding the explanations and the exercises, as well as the language learning methods.

Historically the period of 1918-1940 is not long but very complicated and important period of education development in our country. The gymnasium system of those times was created in very complicated circumstances. The peculiarities of Lithuanian and national minority gymnasiums in the independent Lithuania are being analyzed in this work. Chronological limit is year 1918-1940. The purpose of this work is realized by the following tasks: • To reveal the developmental changes of Lithuanian and national minority gymnasiums in 1918-1940; • To analyze the results of education, pupils’ crop changes and the reasons for that; • To reveal the teaching programs in Lithuanian and national minority gymnasiums; • To analyze the gymnasium extracurricular activities, festivities celebrated in gymnasiums and commemorations; • To discuss the qualification of gymnasium teachers. After the First World War the revived Lithuania as a national state did not have a properly organized school system. That’s why school establishment was taken into consideration. The educated people of Lithuania were the first to start this work as they understood that establishing a national school is a very important condition for survival of a free state. Besides, the representatives of national minorities were also seeking to uphold their nationality and asked the Ministry of Education to allow them to establish their own gymnasiums. Resumo: Este estudo, de natureza qualitativa, investigou as possíveis repercussões emocionais da prática regular de atividade física para praticantes, em academias, sendo desenvolvido por revisão de literatura combinada com pesquisa exploratória, utilizando-se como instrumento para coleta dos dados um questionário contendo perguntas mistas. Fez parte deste estudo uma amostra intencional, constituída por 25 indivíduos adultos, freqüentadores assíduos, há mais de um ano, dos espaços de academias da cidade de Jales, SP, praticantes de diversos tipos de atividades físicas, acima de 18 anos, de ambos os sexos, de formação e envolvimento profissional variados. Os dados foram analisados descritivamente, utilizandose a Técnica de Análise de Conteúdo Temático. A análise foi feita com base em indicadores que evidenciam as esferas: afetivo-emocional, interpessoal, funcional, atitudinal e da saúde e ambiental. Os resultados indicam que a sensação de bem-estar é percebida positivamente nesse contexto, assim como, a noção sobre qualidade de vida. Referente às emoções, os sujeitos afirmaram que a prática regular de atividade física alterou positivamente este aspecto, proporcionando prazer, maior disposição, melhora do humor, relaxamento e diminuição da tensão. Estas atividades, por gerarem satisfação, representaram uma forma de extravasar raiva, alegria e tristeza. As atividades nesse local são um fator importante para a manutenção do bem-estar das relações interpessoais, cujas trocas com sujeitos que têm as mesmas necessidades fazem crescer, inclusive, as vivências fora da academia. Com relação à esfera funcional, os sujeitos evidenciaram a perspectiva de que a atividade física faz bem para a saúde de modo geral, e perceberam melhorias significativas em seu cotidiano, vinculadas à melhor disposição e produtividade no trabalho. An intentional sample of 25 adults, over a year frequent attendants of gyms in the city of Jales, SP, of varied physical activities, over the age of 18, of both genders and of different professional backgrounds took part in this study,. The information was descriptively analyzed using the Thematic Content Analysis Technique. The analysis was based on indicators that highlight the emotional, interpersonal, functional, attitudinal, health and environmental fields. The results indicate that the well-being sensation is perceived positively in this context, as well as the notion of quality of life. Referring to emotions, people affirmed that the regular practice of physical activities has altered positively in this aspect, providing pleasure, relaxation, decreased tension and better moods. These activities represented the channeling of anger, happiness and sadness. The activities in the gyms are an important factor for the maintenance of well-being in interpersonal relationships which make people extend their experiences even outside them. In relation to the functional field, people realized the perspective that physical activities improve health in general and noticed significant improvements in their daily life, hence more energy to work. In the attitudinal field, the physical activities in gyms are beneficial, due to the practical aspects of exercising indoors, the professional support and the possibility of socializing, resulting in an awareness of the linkage of these practices with these aspects, implementing positive and proactive attitudes. Abstract:
This thesis deals with questions about the built environment in relation to the education of the body. The purpose of the thesis is to illustrate and discuss prerequisites for physical literacy and education in school gymnasiums. The aim of the study was to examine how discourses about body and body movement are related to questions about knowledge and education within physical education in school (PE). Using discourse analysis I explore how discursive practices such as rooms and talk produce, reproduce and change discourses about body, movement and knowledge. The discursive practices that I have focused on are the designing of rooms for physical education as well as PE teachers’ ways of expressing themselves regarding these kinds of rooms. The empirical material that has been analyzed consists of rooms used for physical education, interviews with PE teachers and text material from a journal for PE teachers. The results of the analysis suggest that some discourses can be described as strong and/or dominant and some as weaker. One example is the dominant discourse about body movement as competition and performance. Another example is the strong, although not dominant discourse about body movement as practice within which the body is (re)produced as a learning body. A third one is the weak discourse about movement as experiencing one’s body. One of the conclusions of the study is that a more open design of rooms for physical education would enhance the possibilities for the practice discourse and the experience discourse to grow stronger, which would be desirable considering the emphasis on learning and positive experiences of body movement in the syllabus for PE. Another conclusion is that if the practice discourse would be more clearly materialized in the gymnasiums, it could mean that other discursive practices too such as teachers’ and pupils’ speech acts and body acts within PE could change more easily.

Referring to emotions, people affirmed that the regular practice of physical activities has altered positively in this aspect, providing pleasure, relaxation, decreased tension and better moods. These activities represented the channeling of anger, happiness and sadness. The activities in the gyms are an important factor for the maintenance of well-being in interpersonal relationships which make people extend their experiences even outside them. In relation to the functional field, people realized the perspective that physical activities improve health in general and noticed significant improvements in their daily life, hence more energy to work. In the attitudinal field, the physical activities in gyms are beneficial, due to the practical aspects of exercising indoors, the professional support and the possibility of socializing, resulting in an awareness of the linkage of these practices with these aspects, implementing positive and proactive attitudes. O Estado de São Paulo contava com apenas três ginásios públicos de ensino secundário até 1930: o da Capital, o de Campinas e o de Ribeirão Preto. A partir da década de 1930 se iniciou um processo de expansão da rede de estabelecimentos secundaristas, que se acentuou extraordinariamente após o fim da ditadura Vargas com o restabelecimento do Poder Legislativo e, por conseguinte, da ação dos deputados estaduais que viam na escola secundária uma grande oportunidade política, o que acarretou o aumento do número desses estabelecimentos de ensino para 474 ginásios públicos nas mais diversas localidades paulistas entre 14 de março de 1947 e 31 de janeiro de 1963, ou seja, em 04 governos: o de Adhemar Pereira de Barros; o de Lucas Nogueira Garcez; o de Jânio da Silva Quadros; e o de Carlos Alberto Alves de Carvalho Pinto. Sob um prisma quantitativo, esse processo de expansão iniciado na década de 1930 era algo impressionante e inédito até então na história da educação brasileira, sobretudo pela ação incisiva dos deputados estaduais, uma vez que a sistemática de criação de escolas, instituída no final da década de 1940, passava pela promulgação de lei aprovada na Assembleia Legislativa do Estado. No âmbito da historiografia da educação paulista pode-se afirmar que há uma lacuna a ser preenchida referente às ações e estratégias adotadas pelos Poderes Executivo e Legislativo estadual em torno da expansão da rede de estabelecimentos de ensino secundário que se instaurava nesse período. Com o objetivo de realizar um estudo da expansão dos ginásios oficiais no Estado de São Paulo no período supradito, com base na análise do campo político, pretendo nesse trabalho verificar como se davam as relações entre os parlamentares e seus partidos políticos com o Poder Executivo Estadual e/ou líderes políticos locais no que tange à criação de ginásios oficiais em municípios paulistas, e como tais relações interferiam na política educacional do Estado de São Paulo. Para responder à problemática levantada, recorri à Nova História Política, além do trabalho de Pierre Bourdieu sobre a noção de campo, que me proporcionaram os subsídios necessários para enveredar na análise documental da legislação educacional, das mensagens dos governadores do Estado de São Paulo, dos projetos de lei que tramitaram na ALESP no período já citado, além dos relatórios dos censos realizados pelo IBGE e sinopses estatísticas do ensino secundário. As fontes utilizadas nesse estudo me permitiram concluir que a criação e implantação de ginásios oficiais no Estado de São Paulo não obedeceu a critérios educacionais, mas sim meramente políticos. Logo, o que se poderia chamar de política educacional, nesse caso, se resume a um jogo político, no qual a educação era tida como uma moeda de troca extremamente valiosa que possibilitava a seus jogadores o prêmio da sua permanência no poder. Ou seja, a expansão do ensino secundário do Estado de São Paulo nesse período atendeu aos interesses pessoais dos agentes políticos envolvidos nesse campo a partir do atendimento das reivindicações da população, sobretudo das camadas médias e populares, dentre as quais a escola ginasial ocupava um espaço de destaque dado o seu valor simbólico. De todo modo, não resta dúvida que a realização de estudos em torno da expansão do ensino secundário no Estado de São Paulo ocorrida em meados do século XX nos possibilita compreender o papel que a escola secundária exercia na sociedade em geral, além de proporcionar a reconstituição da história da educação brasileira, sobretudo no que se refere às questões pouco investigadas na historiografia da educação paulista, como as que estão sendo abarcadas nesta tese.
The State of São Paulo had only three public secondary schools until 1930: the Downtown one, Campinas and Ribeirão Preto. From the 1930’s onwards, a network expansion process of secondary schools began, which was extraordinarily accentuated after the end of the Vargas dictatorship, with the reestablishment of the Legislative Branch and, consequently, of the action of the state deputies who saw in secondary school a great political opportunity, which brought the increase of the educational establishments to 474 public gymnasiums in different locations of São Paulo between March 14, 1947 and January 31, 1963, in other words, in 04 governments: Adhemar Pereira de Barros; Lucas Nogueira Garcez; Jânio da Silva Quadros; and the Carlos Alberto Alves de Carvalho Pinto’s government. From a quantitative point of view, this expansion process started in the 1930’s was something impressive and unprecedented until then in the history of Brazilian education, especially by the incisive action of state deputies, once the system of school creation instituted at the end of the decade of 1940 passed by the promulgation of law approved in the Legislative Assembly of the State. In the context of the São Paulo's historiography education, we can affirm that there is a gap to be filled regarding the actions and strategies adopted by the State Executive and Legislative Branches around the network expansion of secondary schools that was established in that period. With the objective of carrying out a study of the expansion of the official gymnasiums in the State of São Paulo in the above mentioned period, based on the analysis of the political field, is intended in this work to verify how the relations between the parliamentarians and their political parties with the State Executive Power and/or local political leaders in reference of the creation and installation of official gymnasiums in São Paulo counties, and how such relations interfered in the educational policy of the State of São Paulo. In order to respond to the problematic raised, was traversed New Politic History, besides the work of Pierre Bourdieu on the notion of the field, which provided the necessary subsidies to move on the documental analysis of educational legislation, of the State of São Paulo governors’ messages, of the bills that were processed in ALESP in the period already mentioned, besides the reports of the census carried out by IBGE and statistical synopses of secondary education. The sources used in this study allow to conclude that the creation and implementation of official gymnasiums in the State of São Paulo did not obey educational criteria, but merely political ones. Therefore, what we might call educational policy in this case, it comes down to a political game in which education was regarded as an extremely valuable trading currency which enabled its players to be awarded the prize of their permanence in power. In other words, the expansion of secondary education in the State of São Paulo during this period served the personal interests of the political agents involved in this field, based on the claim of the population, especially of the middle and popular tiers, among which the junior high school was highlighted, given its symbolic value. Anyway, there is no doubt that the study of the expansion of secondary education in the State of São Paulo, in the middle of the twentieth century, allows us to understand the role that secondary school played in society in general, besides making it possible to reconstitute of the history of Brazilian education, especially with regard to the less investigated issues in the historiography of São Paulo education, such as those that are being covered in this thesis.

Restaurering handlar om att spara något av det existerande och använda sig av det, om det så är en struktur, ett minne, en detalj eller den inre luftmassan. Frågan är varför man i vissa fall sparar en träbit från 1700-talet som är sned och sliten, när man skulle kunna byta ut den till en rak istället, men måla den i samma kulör. Det är alltså någonting i just den slitna träbiten som förmedlar något till oss. Kanske en känsla av att vi är del av en historia och ett sammanhang. I projekt som handlar om restaurering jobbar arkitekten med just hanteringen av historia men också skapandet av framtiden. Det är precis det som är kittlande, som Hidemark så bra formulerar det; ”...det förflutna finns ständigt i det närvarande, och tillsammans med nuet finns det på samma sätt i framtiden.”Synen på varje byggnad och varje restaurering som unik har på riktigt vuxit fram under 1900-talet. Sigurd Curman började formulera tankar kring att bevara ”tecken på historia” i en byggnad, som man kan kalla för patina, just för att den hade något, inte för att det inte fanns resurser till att putsa till den. Dessa idéer har fortsatt utvecklats och nådde sin höjdpunkt med Ove Hidemarks tankar om hur han ser på byggnader som att de alla har sin personlighet. Att sedan gestalta något som arkitekt i byggnaden, men samtidigt ha kvar respekten för objektets patina och tidigare liv, leder till att det enda rättvisa gentemot byggnaden blir att inte härma eller försöka kopiera utan skapa något som kan tala med det gamla och samexistera arkitektoniskt. Exempel på detta ser vi också i Neues museum genom Chipperfields arbete med ytorna och sin lågmälda komplettering av dem, på Skokloster slott genom Hidemarks respekt för alla tiders tillägg och de existerande och tillagda materialens relation, Lacaton & Vassals beslut om att låta en park vara som den är och Rachel Whitereads bevarande av en byggnads minne genom ett avgjutet inre av den.      Arkitektens roll i ett restaureringsarbete blir att gå till objektet eller platsen och först och främst titta. Se vad som finns och formulera det genom ord, text, bild, skiss ritning etc. Genom att göra urvalet och gestalta det existerande tar arkitekten ställning och säger något om värdet på dessa ting. Det är ett maktutövande, rent ut sagt, att bestämma vad som är av värde att gestalta eller inte, men också vad som är av värde att låta leva vidare in i framtiden. Tyresö gymnasium är byggd i två etapper, 1978 respektive 1981. Vår uppgift från Arkitekturskolan innehåller ett program på 1500 kvm bostäder vilket man kan välja att lägga i gymnasiet då skolan ändå ska flytta från sina alltför stora lokaler. Denna linje har jag valt och min utgångspunkt är att utgå ifrån det som finns och bevara det så långt det går och att med enkla medel transformera en skola till bostäder. Jag vill testa min tes om att ett hem med tecken från vad det en gång varit är ett mer trivsamt hem än ett helt spår- och historielöst hem. Min metod är helt och hållet inspirerat av Ove Hidemark där jag försökt känna in byggnaden och undersöka den så mycket som det går. Jag har åkt dit och dokumenterat genom skiss, ritning och foto sådant som jag bedömt är av hög rumslig kvalité. Dessa stora och små delar av byggnaden har blivit min utgångspunkt för skapandet av de nya bostäderna. Jag har försökt rita bostäderna kring dessa delar så att varje lägenhet får sin speciella detalj som påminner om en tid som varit.     Spår som symboler av historia.
Restoration is about saving something of the existing and use it, whether it is a structure, a memory, a part or the internal air mass. The question is why, in some cases, save a piece of wood from the 1700s that are crooked and worn out, when you could replace it with a straight instead, but paint it the same color. There is something in that worn piece of wood that conveys something to us. Perhaps the feeling that we are part of a history and a context. In projects that are about restoration architects work with the handling of the history but also the creation of the future. That is what is so fascinating about restoration, as Ove Hidemark so great puts it; "... The past is constantly present in the moment, and with the present moment, it is in the same time in the future." The view of each building and each restoration as unique has really emerged during the 1900s. Sigurd Curman began to formulate ideas about preserving the "signs of history" in a building, which you can call patina, precisely because it had something, not because there were no resources to renovate it. These ideas have continued to develop and reached its peak with Ove Hidemarks thoughts on how he sees the buildings as they all have their own personality. To then shape something as an architect in the building while maintaining respect for the object's patina and past lives, means that the only justice towards it is not to mimic it or try to copy but to create something that can speak with the old and architecturally coexist. Examples of this are seen in the Neues Museum by Chipperfield´s and their work with surfaces and its low-key supplementing them, in Skokloster castle through Hidemark´s respect for the all-time additions and the existing and added materials relationshisp, Lacaton & Vassals´ decision to leave a park as it was, and Rachel Whiteread´s conservation of a building through casted interior of it. The architect's role in the restoration work will be to go to the object or location, and first and foremost to look. See what is there and picture it in words, text, image, sketch drawing etc. By making the selection the architect says something about the value of these things. It is an exercise of power, to determine what is of value to shape or not, but also what is of value to let live on into the future. Tyresö upper secondary school was built in two phases, 1978 and 1981. Our mission from the School of Architecture includes a program of 1,500 sq.m. residential which you can choose to place inside the existing school. I have chosen this line and my starting point is to build on what exists and preserve it as much as possible. I have tried to, in simple ways, transform the school into housing. I have tested my theory that a home with signs from what it once was is a more enjoyable home than a home without any tracks at all. My method is inspired by Ove Hidemark from where I tried to get to know the building and investigate it as much as possible. I have gone there and documented through sketches, drawings and photos things that I considered are of high spatial quality. These large and small parts of the building have been my starting point for the creation of the new homes. I have tried to draw the dwellings around these parts so that each apartment has its special detail reminiscent of the past. Tracks that are signs of history.

Detta examensarbete är en fallstudie i hur tre elever med annan etnicitet än den svenska ser på värdegrunden och hur det arbetas med värdegrunden på en gymnasieskola.Undersökningen bygger på intervjuer med en lärare och tre elever om deras erfarenheter av värdegrunds arbete och deras tankar kring värdegrunden. Undersökningen innehåller även observationer som gjort på den gymnasieskola som eleverna och läraren tillhör.Undersökningen har sociokulturell teori som utgångspunkt. Resultatet visar att eleverna inte känner till värdegrunden som ett begrepp men att dess värderingar stämmer väl överens med deras eget sätt att tänka. Resultatet visar att det enbart arbetas aktivt med värdegrunden i vissa ämnen på skolan men att värderingarna dock genomsyrar undervisningen och lärarnas och elevernas förhållningssätt.

Considerando o contexto de reestruturação produtiva e neoliberalismo que incidem na formação social brasileira desde as últimas décadas do século XX, a literatura especializada da área Educação Física estabelece relações entre a divisão da formação em Educação Física e a reestruturação produtiva. Apropriando-se da revisão teórico-conceitual do que a literatura marxista reconhece como reestruturação produtiva, esta pesquisa visa – no âmbito da economia – apanhar a cadeia produtiva da indústria da cultura corporal em academias de ginástica, bem como os sinais de existência de uma reestruturação produtiva que indiquem nexos com a divisão da formação de professores de Educação Física. Buscamos entender os nexos entre o estágio de desenvolvimento da indústria da cultura corporal no setor de academias e – até que ponto, esse estágio de desenvolvimento interfere, influencia, determina – as disputas pela direção da formação em Educação Física no Brasil (1980-2012). A Concepção Materialista e Dialética da História é a teoria do conhecimento que orienta o modo como estamos pensando esse objeto, síntese de múltiplas determinações. As categorias centrais que se articulam são: modo de produção capitalista/reestruturação produtiva do capitalismo na formação social brasileira; reestruturação produtiva x reestruturação da educação/formação da força de trabalho; indústria da cultura corporal (setor de academias); reestruturação produtiva da indústria da cultura corporal/formação de professores de Educação Física. Dentre os resultados da pesquisa, verificamos que houve a necessidade de adequação da força de trabalho no setor de academias, no que se refere as inovações nos equipamentos e aparelhos, novas modalidades corporais, conhecimento de marketing e, principalmente, em relação a atitude pessoal que deve estar voltada ao empreendedorismo e flexibilização, contudo não foram alterações significativas no conteúdo de trabalho do professor de Educação Física, a ponto de justificarem a divisão da formação em Licenciatura e Bacharelado. No nosso entendimento não estão claros os nexos da relação entre reestruturação produtiva e divisão da formação. O reconhecimento da cadeia produtiva do setor de academias e os dados econômicos desse mercado, possibilitou-nos problematizar o debate sobre os interesses dos empresários de academias e suas determinações na direção da formação em Educação Física.
Abstract Considering the context of productive restructuring and neoliberalism that have influenced the Brazilian social formation since the last decades of the twentieth century, the specialized literature of Physical Education establishes relations between the division of Physical Education formation and productive restructuring. Approaching the theoretical-conceptual revision of what Marxist literature recognizes as a productive restructuring, this research aims - in the ambit of the economy - to pick up the productive chain of the body culture industry in gymnasiums, as well as the signs of a restructuring productive relationship that indicate links with the division of the formation of Physical Education teachers. We seek to understand the links between the development stage of the body culture industry in the academy sector and - to what extent, this stage of development interferes, influences, determines - disputes by the direction of training in Physical Education in Brazil (1980-2012) . The Materialist and Dialectical Conception of History is the theory of knowledge that guides the way we are thinking this object, synthesis of multiple determinations. The central categories that are articulated are: capitalist mode of production / productive restructuring of capitalism in the Brazilian social formation; productive restructuring x restructuring of workforce education / training; body culture industry (academies sector); productive restructuring of the body culture industry / training of Physical Education teachers. Among the results of the research, we verified that there was a need to adapt the workforce in the academy sector, in terms of innovations in equipment and devices, new body modalities, marketing knowledge and, especially, the personal attitude that should be focused on entrepreneurship and flexibility, but there were no significant changes in the work content of the Physical Education teacher, to the point of justifying the division of the training in Bachelor's and Bachelor's degree. In our understanding, the links between productive restructuring and division of training are unclear. The recognition of the productive chain of the academies sector and the economic data of this market enabled us to problematize the debate about the interests of entrepreneurs of academies and their determinations in the direction of the formation in Physical Education.

På inbjudan av Blackebergs gymnasium har vi medverkat som deltagande lärare och forskare under ett projekt för integration. Detta projekt utgörs av mötet mellan en klass med elever av invandrarbakgrund och en klass med elever av företrädesvis svensk bakgrund. Rent praktiskt innebär detta att eleverna under en veckas tid har varit frikopplade från ordinarie schemabunden undervisning och istället deltagit i en serie evenemang med tema integration. Under denna vecka har vi handlett elever och efter bästa förmåga dokumenterat projektet.

Vår metod har varit aktionforskning. Detta innebär att vi mer eller mindre förutsättningslöst har gett oss in i projektet som deltagare då aktionsforskningen kräver två delar – aktion och forskning. Detta innebär att forskaren även måste vara praktiker. När vi anländer första dagen till Blackebergs gymnasium har vi i stort sett ingen specifik kunskap om vad integrationsveckan rent praktiskt ska komma att innebära. I samtal med lärare och elever har sedan bilden klarnat.

Till det material vi under veckan samlat in ställer vi frågor rörande begreppet integration, hur har detta applicerats under veckan? Hur har lärarlaget sett på integration i teorin och i praktiken? Vilka förutsättningar måste eller bör uppfyllas för att ett kvalitativt möte mellan dessa grupper ska bli av? En tredje fråga som vi ställer oss rör eleverna, hur har de sett på veckan? Tycker de att veckan har varit till för svenskfödda elever i samma mån som för elever med utländsk bakgrund? Samma fråga mer öppet formulerad; kan ojämlika förutsättningar ge ett bra möte?

Utifrån dessa forskarfrågor gör vi vissa upptäckter som vi analyserar och reflekterar kring. Den slutsats vi drar blir att integration inte kan vara ett mål man antingen uppnår eller inte uppnår. Integration är en process. Vidare står det klart för oss att begreppet integration i hög grad även innefattar begreppen ömsesidighet och jämlikhet. In this study, seismic roof isolation solutions were investigated with a case study of Halkapinar Gymnasium, izmir. In the first part, seismic isolation was explanied and philosophy behind it was given. In the second part, existing seismic roof isolators, elastomeric bearing and viscous damper, were investigated with different support isolation combinations. In the third part, two more types of seismic isolators, lead rubber bearing and friction pendulum isolators, were also analyzed by using the same model and all results were compared with each other and that of non-isolated roof system. Furthermore, bilinear effect of the non-linear isolators were also studied. Finally, all results were compared with each other considering structure responses and effectiveness of the seismic isolators. It has been tried to find the most efficient seismic isolation solution for Halkapinar Gymnasium.

Syftet med min uppsats var att undersöka hur urkunderna används i religionsundervisningen på gymnasiet. Dels av lärare och dels hur läromedlen handleder läraren till att integrera urkunderna i sin undervisning. Till bakgrund för min uppsats studerade jag hur och vad didaktiker föreslår som lämpliga arbetssätt för integrering av urkunder i undervisningen, men även vilka fördelar som urkunderna kan bidra med i undervisningen till tillexempel källmaterial, i jämförande analyser och förståelse för religionernas ursprung. Jag valde att använde mig av en kvalitativ studie eftersom den lämpade sig bäst för mitt syfte. För att få ett vidare perspektiv på min undersökning genomfördes både en litteraturstudie och en intervjustudie. Genom litteraturstudien fick jag en konkret bild av vilken didaktisk vägledning läromedelsböckerna bistår lärarna med för att integrera urkunderna i sin undervisning. Med intervjustudien fick jag svar på hur lärarna arbetar med urkunderna, vilken betydelse de anser att urkunderna har för undervisningen och lärarnas egen syn på läromedlens vägledning i att på ett didaktiskt lämpligt sätt integrera urkunderna i undervisningen.Resultatet av min undersökning visar att lärarna anser att urkunderna är av stor vikt och utgör de primära källorna till religionerna. Trots detta får de inte stort utrymme i deras undervisning. De anser inte heller att läromedlen är till stor hjälp för att integrera urkunder i undervisningen. Detta står i kontrast till vad jag kom fram till i min undersökning av läromedlen. Analysen visade att vissa böcker ger god didaktisk vägledning till att inkludera urkunder i religionsundervisningen.

Syftet med mitt arbete har varit att försöka få fram en användbar modell för infärgning mellankärnämnet svenska och karaktärsämnet medicinsk grundkurs i gymnasietsomvårdnadsprogram. För att kunna göra detta har jag gjort kvalitativa intervjuer medpedagoger på berörd skola för att se om de kan se möjligheter att införa infärgning iundervisningen. I analysen har jag använt mig av SWOT1 analys (SWOT= strengths,weaknesses, opportunities, threats), som mäter fenomenen styrkor, svagheter, möjligheter ochhot. Dessa fenomen har satts in i fyra olika perspektiv nämligen elevens, pedagogens,organisationens samt ur didaktiskt perspektiv. Resultatet i undersökningen visar attpedagogerna som intervjuats ställer sig mycket positiv till infärgning i undervisningen. Tanken till det här examensarbetet initierades under min tid som språklärare i moderna språk (tyska) och modersmålsundervisningen på gymnasiet och grundskolan.Syfte med detta examensarbete är att sammanställa introduktionsmaterial för lärare som vill arbeta med handdockor på gymnasiet. Jag skriver om en speciell sorts handdocka, som kallas för ”Klappmaulpuppe”, vilken har mer möjligheter att agera än andra vanliga handdockor eftersom den är så lång, 35 - 60 cm. Detta introduktionsmaterial skall dels underlätta för lärarna hur de kan använda handdockor i undervisningen, men även ge eleverna förståelse hur de kan använda handdockor. Genom introduktionsmaterialet reduceras risken för fel i genomförandet och det stärker lärarnas självsäkerhet när det gäller att använda handdockor i sin undervisning för att kunna optimera fördelarna med handdockans användande. För att praktiskt genomföra undervisning med handdockor behöver man beakta reglerna som jag beskriver under kapitel 5 ”genomförande”.Genom aktionsforskning utvecklas introduktionsmaterial till användning av handdockor i språkundervisningen på gymnasienivå. Med utvecklingsarbetet i språkval tyska steg 3 och steg 4 framvisa jag att handdockor är ett bra verktyg och metod för att öka elevernas individuella kommunikativa kunskapsnivåer i språket och stimulera kreativa förmågor.I undervisningen används handdockor på flera sätt och mål: de kan ge variation, luckra upp en situation eller skapa spänning, sätta impulser, ta bort blockeringar, understödja elever att reflekterar, kan provocera, animera, undervisa, ifrågasätta och bekräfta m.m. Kurserna där jag används handdockor tyckte det var ett annorlunda och bra sätt att lära sig. De flesta eleverna är rätt så stilla och våga inte tala i mål språket. Med handdockor lyckades jag att eleverna slappnade av och vågade prata.

Matematikämnet har på senare tid fått en allt större uppmärksamhet, inte minst genom de resultat som publicerats i samband med de internationella undersökningarna PISA och TIMMS. Skolverkets intentioner att skapa ett större fokus kring de förmågor som presenteras i kursplanen och ämnesplanen i matematik har öppnat upp för att den formativa bedömningen alltmer kan ta plats inom dagens pedagogiska praktik. Samtidigt finns en mängd digitala verktyg att tillgå som försöker tillfredsställa och mätta behovet av effektiva lärmetoder för elever med olika förutsättningar och inställningar till matematikämnet, som behöver få hjälp i rätt riktning i sin kunskapsutveckling. Bland dessa märks det interaktiva och digitala verktyget Kunskapsmatrisen. Detta självständiga arbete syftar till att belysa hur matematiklärare vid ett gymnasium (i en mindre svensk stad/kommun), en utbildningsenhet, upplever Kunskapsmatrisen, ett verktyg som får tjäna som exempel på ett digitalt hjälpmedel som finns att tillgå på marknaden. Det gör jag genom en enkätundersökning med tillhörande analys där jag gör jämförelser med dels Kunskapsmatrisens egen användarundersökning, dels med en elevundersökning utförd på Ystad gymnasium. Dessutom har jag genomfört en efterföljande intervjustudie med syfte att främst besvara frågan hur matematiklärare på ett svenskt gymnasium använder Kunskapsmatrisen. Det framkommer i min enkätundersökning att lärarna både värdesätter verktyget och tror att Kunskapsmatrisen kommer bidra positivt till resultaten på nästkommande nationella prov (2017). Vidare visar enkätstudien att lärarna tror att eleverna uppskattar verktyget och att så är fallet får man även en tydlig antydan om i Ystad gymnasiums enkätundersökning. Det framkommer också klart att lärarna i min enkätundersökning upplever att Kunskapsmatrisen spar tid, vilket även Kunskapsmatrisens egen underökning visar. Min intervjuundersökning visar att tidsbesparingen främst härrör från möjligheten att med hjälp av den i systemet ingående uppgiftsbanken skapa prov och diagnoser som tar hänsyn till balansen mellan de olika förmågorna och kunskapsnivåerna (i en matris). Verktyget kan även fungera som en slags formativ och digital hjälplärare till eleverna genom sina videolänkar och feedbacksystem och på så sätt hjälpa dem att ta ansvar för sin egen kunskapsutveckling.

This paper presents the results of a study of dyscalculia. It is a retrospective archival study implemented with a deductive approach. On the basis of established research and theory 18 analytical categories were formulated, before a deductive thematic analysis of empirical material, consisting of journal data of 17 students investigated for dyscalculia, 14 girls (82.4%) and 3 boys (17.6%). The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the concepts formulated in research on dyscalculia and actual mathematical difficulties as those found in practice of students at school. All pupils had early and long-term difficulties with mathematics, while not showing any difficulties in other subjects. Most have had an unsatisfactory learning environment. All had normal intelligence but difficulty with certain cognitive, self-regulatory and linguistic features. Difficulties persisted despite numerous and protracted relief efforts at school. The study highlights that some difficulties are more prominent than others in connection with dyscalculia. This applies particularly to working memory, automation, activity control, spatial functions, certain linguistic abilities, concentration, and executive functions. Pedagogical action adaptation had been completed for most of the students but did not show to have any noticible effect. One question that requires further research would be “ why adaptation does not give the desired effect.”
I denna uppsats redovisas resultatet av en studie av dyskalkyli. Det är en retrospektiv arkivstudie med en deduktiv ansats som genomförts. Med utgångspunkt i etablerad forskning och teoribildning formulerades 18 analytiska kategorier, före en deduktiv tematisk analys, på ett empiriskt material bestående av journaldata för 17 elever utredda med avseende på dyskalkylidiagnos, 14 flickor (82,4 %) och 3 pojkar (17,6 %). Syftet med studien var att undersöka förhållandet mellan de begrepp forskningen formulerat om dyskalkyli och faktiska matematiksvårigheter så som sådana visar sig i praktiken hos elever i skolan. Samtliga elever hade tidiga och långvariga svårigheter i matematik, men vanligen inte i andra ämnen. De flesta hade haft en otillfredsställande inlärningsmiljö. Alla hade normal intelligens men svårigheter med vissa kognitiva, självreglerande och språkliga funktioner. Svårigheterna kvarstod trots många och långvariga hjälpinsatser i skolan. Studien lyfter fram att vissa svårigheter är mer framträdande än andra i samband med dyskalkyli. Det gäller framförallt arbetsminne, automatisering, aktivitetsreglering, spatiala funktioner, vissa språkliga förmågor, koncentration och exekutiva funktioner. Pedagogisk åtgärdsanpassning hade genomförts för de flesta av eleverna men verkade inte ha haft någon större effekt. Varför åtgärdsanpassning inte ger avsedd effekt är ett problem som behöver undersökas vidare.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka i vilken mån algebraiska aktiviteter förekommer på Samhällsprogrammet på ett gymnasium. Undersökningen har genomförts på en gymnasieskola i södra Sverige med kvalitativa intervjuer av matematiklärare som undervisar i matematik B på Samhällsprogrammet. En textanalys av lärobok och lärarhandledning, som används på det aktuella programmet, har också gjorts med avseende på algebraiska aktiviteter. Resultatet visar att det på den aktuella skolan förekommer en del aktiviteter som variation till enskild räkning i läroboken. Resultatet visar också att de aktiviteter som är mest förekommande är av karaktären transformerande. Slutsatsen är att det i viss mån bedrivs en varierad undervisning i algebra på skolans matematikkurs B, Samhällsprogrammet.

The purpose of this study is to explain the development of the first higher technical education in Trollhättan, with the added perspective of Trollhättans strong industrial profile as a city. The interesting thing being that the city did not try to first and foremost get a regular higher education, but a technical higher education instead. The study describes the political twists and turns the question took from its most early stage in the year 1940 and how the city's industrial profile did indeed have an impact on the development of the first higher technical education. Especially because there was a need for educated engineers in the city, as well as the country of Sweden in large during this time. The study also tries to explain the problems related to such a development, primarily by describing the lack of sufficient housing for schools during the 1950's, this meant that the higher regular school and the higher technical school had to cooperate in finding said housing. To put the study in context a brief summary of the educational system in large, Trollhättan as an industrial city during the 1940's and 1950's as well as Trollhättans educational system besides higher education, is also included. The resulting study has mostly been achieved by studying relevant sources in Trollhättans city-archives as well as the local paper ”Trollhättans tidning” during the relevant years 1956, 1958 and 1959.

”Bevara, Bygga om & Bygga till” är ett försök att med andra metoder bygga om en existerande skolbyggnad till bostäder. Det finns någonting fint i att se spår av historia runtomkring oss. Vad innebär det egentligen att riva bort fysiska minnena av en plats? Att ha kvar ett minne behöver inte betyda spara allt- kanske räcker det med att lämna kvar ett träd mitt i byggnaden eller bevara en mur med årtionden av skolklotter på för att införstådda känner igen sig. Att bygga nytt i en stad idag innebär att man måste ta ställning till vad som funnits på och runt platsen tidigare. Historian sätter ett ramverk för vad som kan komma därefter och byggnaden måste relatera till platsens begränsningar Projektet bygger på fasta regler, referenser och problemlösning. Jag har valt ut delar av den existerande skolbyggnaden som blir ramarna för projektet och runt dem bevarat, byggt om och byggt till. Projektet är en blandning av nytt och gammalt där ytor påverkas av väder, vind, människans vardag och tid. Resultatet blev en ”byggkloss” som gjorts möjlig med just de satta ramarna. En byggkloss med flera boenden där planlösningen möjliggör variation. Där hemmalivet sträcker sig även utanför boendets ramar.
"Preserve, Rebuild & Expand" is an attempt to transform an existing school building into housings. There is something special about observing the imprints of history visible all around us. What does it mean when we tear something apart which has left profound impressions on somany, like a school? Preserve isn't necessarily the same thing as conserve - perhaps it is sufficient to leave an old tree in the middle of the building or to maintain an old wall with decades of scribble, in order to preserve a memory? Building somethingnew in a city today means that one must take into consideration what existed on and around the site before. This history may serve as a framework for the future building and surroundings. The building must relate to the sites limitations. This project is based on fixed rules, references and problem solving. I have selected some parts of the existing school building to serve as a framework for the project and the surroundings have been partly preserved, rebuilt and extended. The project is a mix of new and old where most surfaces are affected by weather, wind, people's everyday lives and time. The result is a "building block" constructed after the beforehand set limitations which includes several housings whose construction plans enable variation and potential. A place where people's life extend beyond the accommodations frames.

The sky is light, delicate, soft, gentle, dynamic, and fluid. Its strength is conveyed through its elegance and grace. The project vehicle for this architectural investigation and application is a gymnasium. In spite of plethora of motivational studies in a number of contexts (see Dörnyei & Ushioda, 2009, Csizér & Magid, 2014), there has been little investigation of the language learning motivation of Polish learners of English. Thus, this mixed-methods research set out to address this gap by investigating the motivational characteristics of Polish learners, the structure of their motivation and its relationship to proficiency. The study also sought to examine the role of important others and factors such as gender, location and parents’ education in language learning motivation. Data for this study was collected using a motivational questionnaire, the Oxford Quick Placement Test and semi-structured interviews. 599 14-to-16 year old Polish learners of English filled in the questionnaire, which contained scales from both applied linguistics and educational psychology. 398 students also completed the proficiency test and 20 students participated in semi-structured interviews. Factor analysis, MANOVA, ANOVA, t-tests and Structural Equation Modelling were used to analyse the quantitative data, whereas the interviews were transcribed and coded. The quantitative results show that the students endorsed international orientation more than instrumentality and had moderate self-efficacy beliefs and English self-concept. Their scores on the intrinsic motivation and self-regulation scales were also in the average range, whereas those on the ideal L2 self were rather low. The qualitative results, however, reveal substantial variation between individual learners. In a model of language learning motivation of Polish learners, the influence of goals on self-regulation was mediated by self-constructs and enjoyment derived from language learning. The model also points to a link between motivation and achievement. In their efforts to study English, Polish learners appeared strongly supported by their parents, and their learning environment was also shaped by English teachers and peers. A further three factors, namely gender, parents’ education and school location were also found to play a role in language learning motivation.

Through Laclau and Mouffes discourse theory, this study seeks to find and analyze the different types of discourses regarding digitalisation that exist in the Swedish upper secondary schools curriculum, focusing on those documents that regard the subjects Swedish and Swedish as a second language, and finally analyze what kind of implications these discourses can have for teachers in the subject of Swedish. The study starts with going through digital literacy and why it’s important in a digitalized world. With Laclau and Mouffes discourse theory as method, this study identifies several discourses available in the curriculum. These discourses are digital competence, digital work, digital tools, digital change and digital copyright. In addition to this, the study identifies three subjects as bearers of the discourse, the teacher, the student and the curriculum itself. The study finds that digitalization is loosely defined within the curriculum, leaving the teacher with the duty of both analyzing and construing their own view of digitalization within the subject Swedish. Finally, the study discusses the implications of these findings.

This is minor field study conducted in Gävle, Sweden. The purpose of the field study is to find answers to questions related to morality and spirituality with the main concern of investigating the phenomena in the gymnasium. Aspects of this presentation focus on the role of religion in moral development, on whether spirituality necessarily evokes a sense of morality or if they are entirely separate issues. This presentation also explains briefly what spirituality is, as well as expatiating on certain moral theories propounded by certain scholars and its relevance to the study. Since morality can sometimes be relative to persons in different places, I also did a brief comparative work by looking at the situation in Ghana and Sweden when it comes to morality.

The phenomenological method was chosen in conducting this research. In line with this I interviewed two students in the gymnasium, I distributed questionnaires to twenty three other students and I interviewed a priest twice to gather some information which was resourceful in organising this study. In Ghana, morality is averagely a matter of social importance and most persons, though not everyone, serve as a check to ensure that what are believed to be right actions are distinguished from wrong actions. Religion forms the core of spirituality for most Ghanaians. With 93.3% of the population claiming to be religious, this issue is not surprising. It is with much interest therefore that I conducted a fieldwork in Sweden to know the varied views in spirituality and morality. There are a lot of similarities to say, in terms of morality and spirituality in Sweden and in Ghana. However, the enormous differences cannot be left out.

With the very fast development within the area of information technology and the fact that the youth of today are very quick to learn about the new technology, a threat has developed. The technology can be misused in several ways aiming at causing other individuals damage, among other things bullying. Since bullying to a large extent takes place in school among children and young people, I have chosen to carry out a survey about how widespread e-bullying is. I chose to do the survey on a computer - and technology intensive IT upper secondary school, where each pupil has access to a portable computer with wireless Internet. Having in mind that I work at an IT upper secondary school, it was quite natural to choose precisely an IT upper secondary school, but because of that those students probably use the new technology more frequently than other young people in general. The issue became thus. ”How common is it with e-bullying at an IT upper secondary school?” and also ”Is it more common with e-bullying than traditional bullying?” The survey's main aspects were to let the students reply on a quantitative questionnaire that was placed on a web platform, which they reached on the Internet. More or less 50% of the school's students replied on the questionnaire and each surely distributed over the classes 1 to 3, with a bigger percentage of girls than of boys. The survey showed that it was not particularly common with bullying through electronic mediums compared with traditional ways. Only 21% of the students that gave themselves out as being bullied (31 % of all that been asked) stated that this happened through e-bullying of some kind. On the wide question if they thought that it was common with bullying on the Internet, 36,6 % replied that it was very common or quite common. When they got the question about if it was common with bullying via SMS/MMS 17% replied that it was very common or quite common. As to the question of ”What is the most occurring the bullying way, according to your experience?” only 5,6% replied with any off the alternatives SMS/MMS, MSN/Messenger, other chat, Communities or other from the Internet. When I compared my survey with the one that Friends did, I saw that it is not more common with e-bullying at an IT upper secondary school than any other upper secondary school and that it is not more common with e-bullying than traditional bullying. Instead it is much more common with traditional bullying than e-bullying.
