Abstract Using an extension of Montgomery’s identity and the Green’s function, we obtain new identities and related inequalities for weighted averages of n-convex functions, i.e. the sum $$\sum _{i=1}^m \rho _i h(\lambda _i)$$ ∑ i = 1 m ρ i h ( λ i ) and the integral $$\int ^{b}_{a} \rho (\lambda ) h(\gamma (\lambda ))d\lambda $$ ∫ a b ρ ( λ ) h ( γ ( λ ) ) d λ where h is an n-convex function.

Abstract Wenger and Young proved that the pair $(\mathbb{R}^m,\mathbb{H}^n)$ has the Lipschitz extension property for $m \leq n$ where $\mathbb{H}^n$ is the sub-Riemannian Heisenberg group. That is, for some $C>0$, any $L$-Lipschitz map from a subset of $\mathbb{R}^m$ into $\mathbb{H}^n$ can be extended to a $CL$-Lipschitz mapping on $\mathbb{R}^m$. In this article, we construct Sobolev extensions of such Lipschitz mappings with no restriction on the dimension $m$. We study the chiral primary rings of N=2 and N=4 superconformal algebras (SCA’s) constructed over triple systems. The chiral primary states of N=2 SCA’s realized over Hermitian Jordan triple systems are given. Their coset spaces G/H are Hermitian-symmetric and can be compact or noncompact. In the noncompact case under the requirement of unitarity of the representations of G, we find an infinite discrete set of chiral primary states associated with the holomorphic discrete series representations of G and their analytic continuation. It is found that the spatial distribution of mesoscale SSHA variance is not coincident with mesoscale SSTA variance. The former peaks in the Kuroshio extension a

Abstract The in-plane graphene/hexagonal boron nitride (Gr/h-BN) heterostructures have received extensive attention in recent years due to their excellent physical properties and the development potential of next-generation nanoelectronic devices. Generally, different bonding types between Gr and h-BN are considered in different non-equilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) simulations studies. However, which type of bonding is most conducive to interface thermal transport is still very confusing. In this work, we investigate the interfacial thermal conductance (ITC) and the thermal rectification

Abstract:
In the design of new structures and assessment of existing structures, short- and long term statistical distributions of wave height, crest height and wave periods, as well as joint distributions, are important for structural integrity assessment. It is important to model the statistical distributions accurately to calculate wave design criteria and to assess fatigue life. A detailed study of the wave statistics for an offshore location at the Norwegian Continental Shelf field is carried out. Extensive time domain simulations for the complete scatter diagram of possible sea states are carried

Abstract:
From previous studies, Sn-promoted Pt/KL prepared by vapor-phase co-impregnation exhibited high stability and selectivity to C8-aromatics for n-octane aromatization. Although the Pt/KL has many benefits, one of the serious drawbacks is its sensitivity to sulfur poisoning. Based on previous investigations, the addition of rare earth elements (RE; e.g. Tm, Ce, and Dy) into Pt/KL could improve sulfur tolerance of the catalysts. In this work, the sulfur resistance of PtSn/KL and RE-promoted PtSn/KL has been studied. PtSnRE/KL catalysts with Pt:Sn:RE ratio of 1:1:0.15 were prepared by sequential RE

Abstract:
Motivated by a chemical process engineering application, we introduce a new concept constructor in Description Logics (DLs), an n-ary variant of the existential restriction constructor, which generalizes both the usual existential restrictions and so-called qualified number restrictions. We show that the new constructor can be expressed in ALCQ, the extension of the basic DL ALC by qualified number restrictions. However, this representation results in an exponential blow-up. By giving direct algorithms for ALC extended with the new constructor, we can show that the complexity of reasoning in t

Abstract:
A theory of the vibrational spectra of glasses, based on allowance for the statistical fluctuations of the local elastic constants, is proposed. The existence is established of two characteristic energies h, and h, , dividing the spectrum into regions of qualitatively different behavior of the density of states n (h). At low frequencices w 4 w, the increase of the density of states is determined by the additive contributions of phonons and mutually noninteracting quasilocal vibrations in random soft atomic potentials in the glass. In the intermediate region w , 5 w 5 w, the quasilocal vibratio
