Abstract:
Hadiths play a pivotal role in shaping norms and laws for the Muslim community in Islam, but they often give rise to controversies and differences in interpretation and application. This article aims to explore the phenomenon of Ikhtilaf Al-Hadith, which refers to the divergence in the understanding of Hadiths among Islamic scholars and its methods of resolution. Employing a literature analysis method, the author references pertinent sources for this study. The findings reveal that Ikhtilaf Al-Hadith can emerge due to various factors, including the content of the Hadith, the context of its delivery, methodology, and ideology. Resolution approaches include compromise, tarjih (selecting the stronger Hadith), or nasakh (abrogation of one Hadith in favor of another). Hence, a meticulous understanding and methodological approach are essential to maintain consistency in comprehending and applying Hadiths in Islam. Compromise, tarjih, and nasakh serve as methods for resolving discrepancies between Hadiths, and contextual and historical understanding is crucial in interpreting apparently contradictory Hadiths.

Abstract:
Historians rely on hadiths (narratives about Muhammad) as a source for writing the history of early Islam. Each hadith is preceded by an isnād, which is a list of names purporting to give the sequence of individuals who transmitted it. Scholars apply a variety of methods to the isnāds of hadiths in order to determine their dates and geographic origins. These methods presuppose the absence of inadvertent mistakes in the names cited. Because the hadith literature is so voluminous and unwieldy, the systematic discovery and correction of these mistakes using manual methods is unfeasible. We introduce new computational and statistical methods for automatically detecting a subset of these errors and correcting them. We do so by investigating the citations of sources in the isnāds documented in the digital hadith repository, Gawāmiʿ al-Kalim.

Amṡāl (simile) is part of the Arabic style containing short messages in terms of a sentence but wide in meaning. This paper examines the book by Ibn Khalād al Rāmahurmuzī, which contains amṡāl in hadith. This research used a descriptive-analytical method and employed a book analyses study approach in order to find out: (1) The characteristics, methods, and sources of the hadiths were used. (2) The author's method in explaining the hadiths of amṡāl. (3) The weaknesses and the strengths of the book. This research found that the themes of hadith collected in each chapter are based on the aspects of the theme content and the language style used, namely: at-tasybīh and al-kināyah. Second, this book's method of narrating the hadith is the simā' method. The hadith used comes from the hadith expert priests. Third, in explaining the meaning of amṡāl, the author quotes the opinion of 'ulama and Arabic poetry. Fourth, the book's strengths are the explanation from the author regarding the purpose of the amṡāl in hadith. As for the weakness of the book, the author ignores the quality of the hadith, so there is no information whether the hadith is ṣahīh, ḥasan, or ḍa'īf.

Abstract:
Hadith is the second source of reference for Islamic law after the Qur'an, which explains the sentences in the Qur'an which are still global by referring to the provisions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Classification of text documents can also be used to overcome the problem of interrelation between the Qur'an and hadith. The problem of interrelation between books of hadith needs to be done because some hadiths in certain hadith books have the same meaning as other hadith books. This study aims to analyze the development of text representation and classification methods suitable to overcome similarity meaning problems in detecting interrelationships between hadith books. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) sourced from Google Scholar, Science Direct, and IEEE. There are 42 pieces of literature that have been studied successfully. The results showed that contextual embedding as the newest text representation method considered word context and sentence meaning better than static embedding. As a classification method, the ensemble method has better performance in classifying text documents than using only a single classifier model. Thus, future research can consider using a combination of contextual embedding and ensemble methods to detect interrelationships between books of hadith.

The writing of hadith in this cross-stream perspective historical review is the result of literature research, which is a method obtained by collecting data and information sourced from literature. The process involves a series of procedures for collecting data from library sources which are then processed from various stages of analysis, and ultimately produce research findings. The characteristics of the Hadith of the Prophet's period of Revelation revealed by Allah were explained by the Prophet through his words, deeds, and taqrir. Characteristics of the Hadith period Muslim companions can directly obtain hadith from the Prophet as a source of hadith. The characteristics of hadiths from the tabi period were collected and discarded through talaqqi with the companions then they recorded what was gained from the meeting. Characteristics of Hadith period Tabi' at-Tabi'in Group existing hadiths according to the field of discussion. Three elements must be met in order to be called a hadith narrative. The three elements are (1) the activity of receiving hadith (al-tahammul), (2) the re-delivery of hadith, and (al-ada') (3) the mention of a series of narrators at the time of the hadith (al-isnad). The history of the development of hadith is a period or period that has been passed by hadith since the moment of its birth and grew in the introduction, appreciation, and practice of the ummah from generation to generation.

From that, the ideas conveyed by Nadiem Makarim the Indonesian Minister of Education, will be correlated in the hadith perspective. This idea can be drawn from five important points, namely, class discussion, the role of students in teaching and learning activities, fostering the social spirit of students, discovering student’s identities, cooperation between teachers and students. Abstract:
The following article is analyzing both Fuat Sezgin’s approach to Western scholarship of hadith and the views of some non-muslim scholars, which give either support or criticism against him. Some questions have been discussed; to what extent is Fuat Sezgin influenced by Western methods of hadith research and to what extent does he argue against the methods of non-Muslims? To what extent does he persist on arguing the reliability of hadith literature? To what extent does he base his argument on muslim hadith literature? To what extent does he digress from the classical methodology of hadith research? The following pages show that Sezgin has been familiar with non-Muslim scholarship of hadith research. Yet instead of following Western scholars’ approaches and premises on the early hadith literature, he severely criticized them and decided to follow the mainstream of Muslim scholars’ belief in the historicity of hadith transmission and collection. Fuat Sezgin focused his criticism on Goldziher’s historical claims. If one classifies Western discourse of hadith literature, Sezgin and Azmi can be located in the same line for their similar approach and way of handling the early literature of Islam. Both Sezgin and Azmi have been involved in the discussion on the reliability of early Islamic transmission. However, in contrast to Muslim scholars, who generally believe that the process of hadith transmission during the first century was mainly oral, they insist on arguing that many hadiths were, in fact, recorded in writing from the earliest times.

Abstract: Outwardly, there are hadith that seem contradictory between one hadith and another. It happened not because of the inconsistency of the Prophet Muhammad in giving his words but because of the method of hadith researchers in understanding them. In resolving these contradictory hadiths, there are several methods used by scholars. This paper aims to determine the methods used by hadith scholars and fiqh scholars in completing these hadiths and to compare the methods they use. This research is a literature review using content analysis as a data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that hadith and fiqh scholars have the same sequence of methods in resolving contradictory hadith, they are al-jam'u (compromising), nasakh (abrogating), tarjih (confirming), and tawaqquf methods (moratorium). Only does Imam Abu Hanifah has a different order, they are nasakh, tarjih, al-jam'u, and tawaqquf. The comparison of the methods used by the two groups of scholars, both hadith and fiqh scholars agreed to prioritize the al-jam'u method as an attempt not to paralyze one hadith with other hadiths. However, in contrast to Imam Abu Hanifah, who prioritized the nasakh method rather than the al-jam'u method, consequently there were hadiths that were not used.

Abstract:
Hadith as one of the sources of Islamic law is a basis that is often used as the strength of a provision in solving problems, however, the lack of knowledge about the classification of hadith often results in debate, whether it is related to whether or not the hadith used is authentic. The number of hadiths that are frequently used should have a strong review of the quality and quantity of the sanad. With this research, it is hoped that there will be references that can be used as references regarding the quality of the hadiths that will be used, considering that there are many hadiths that sometimes make many people unable to distinguish between hadiths, proverbs or just words in Arabic. This study aims to find out about the classification of hadith in terms of quantity and quality of sanad. The research method used is the study of literature (library research) data collection techniques with documentation. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The result of this study is that hadith is the second source of religious teachings after the Qur'an. besides that hadith also has a function as an explanation of the verses of the Qur'an. Based on the quantity (number of narrators) or the person who narrated a hadith, it can be divided into mutawatir and ahad hadiths. Meanwhile, in terms of the quality of the hadith, it is divided into three, namely authentic hadith, hasan and dha'if.

The position of hadith in Islamic law is to strengthen and elaborate the laws and rules contained in the Koran, but in this era there are still many who do not understand the types of hadith, which are strong, weak, false, and even not allowed to be practiced. Because of this, a strong and significant understanding is needed regarding the law of practicing dhaif hadiths in Fadhail al-Mal. This study aims to identify the meaning of dhaif hadith and the law of practicing it in fadhail amal in everyday life. This study combines qualitative research with literature review research. All of the data sources that the researchers surveyed included several scientific articles, library books, and other sources relevant to the law of practicing dhaif hadith in fadhail amal. The results of the study show that the law of practicing dhaif hadiths in fadhilah charities is very permissible, provided that one first understands the quality and quantity of these hadiths, both in terms of the narrators and the line of the sanad. There are types of hadiths that may be practiced, and there are also types of daif hadiths that are forbidden to be profitably practiced in charity fadhail. in the sense that a daif hadith can be used as proof and argument for a practice, provided that the level of the hadith does not belong to a shadid hadith (very weak), let alone a maudlu or fake hadith.

The leadership of women in the public sphere is often debated by scholars, including scholars of hadith. Based on the literature review, this article examines the quality of the hadith on women leadership. The hadith research includes the text of hadith, asbab al-wurud of hadith, takhrij al-hadith based on narrators of hadith, the contents of the hadith, and the contextualization of hadith. The findings of this study are: Bukhari, An-Nasai, At-Turmudzi, and Ahmad Ibn Hambal have narrated hadiths about the disadvantages of a society led by women. Asbab al-wurud of this hadith tells about the narration of this hadith when the Persian King was killed, then the power was held by a granddaughter of the king. The narrators of this hadith all continued from Hasan (Muhammad grandson). Based on its sanad and matan, the quality of this hadith is sahih. But there are contextual differences if this hadith is applied in Indonesia.

Abstract:
Among the several views on Hadith studies that have emerged and are quite controversial are those originating from orientalists who state that the authenticity of hadiths is not as pure as what Muslims have believed so far, on the consideration that none of the Prophet's Hadiths are purely authentic from the Prophet, especially the hadiths of the Prophet hadith with ahad narration. Which then seems to explain that, it is rather difficult to believe the hadith literature as a whole as an authentic record of all the sayings and practices that originate from the Prophet Muhammad saw. Even among Muslims, there are groups that claim to believe in the Al-Qur'an, but are against the hadith of the Prophet. This polemic naturally invites various reactions from Muslim researchers, especially those who are concerned with Hadith studies. One of them is M. M. Azami, a leading hadith researcher. M.M. Azami found that the doubts expressed by orientalists regarding the sanad system were due to their methodological errors in studying the study of sanad material, because in general they did not study the chain of transmission based on the main books of hadith, but based on the main books of hadith, the fiqh and sirah which are arranged in a different way from the books of hadith. M.M. Azami responds to the views of orientalists and proves the authenticity of hadith in several ways, including: explaining the method of writing the Prophet's hadith, the system for transmitting the Prophet's Hadith, the system of using sanad, reasoning criticism, and comparative methods

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze and review the use of dha’if (weak) hadith in Islamic law, considering the significant differences of opinion among scholars. Hadith is the second primary source of Islamic law after the Quran and plays a crucial role in explaining the Quran. However, dha’if hadith often becomes a subject of debate regarding its validity and application in Islamic jurisprudence. The majority of hadith scholars and jurists have differing views on the use of dha’if hadith, with some scholars completely prohibiting it and others allowing it under certain conditions. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Primary data includes dha’if hadiths found in major hadith collections, opinions of scholars on dha’if hadith, and statements from key figures in the fields of hadith and fiqh. Secondary data consists of supporting literature such as books, journals, scholarly articles, and writings of classical and contemporary scholars. Data collection techniques involve literature review and interviews with experts in hadith and fiqh.Data is analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques, involving the categorization of hadith based on their degree of weakness, analysis of scholars' views on the use of dha’if hadith, and interpretation of data to construct a strong argument regarding the legal use of dha’if hadith. Data validation is conducted through source and method triangulation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the research findings.

The purpose of this paper is to make an inventory of the hadiths of the prophet relating to community empowerment, to know his takhrij, and to examine the contents of the hadiths about community empowerment. The method used is a thematic method with a literature research approach by examining the hadiths from capital sources. The conclusion is that the results of an inventory of the hadiths about community empowerment were obtained 129 hadiths from 18 hadith books. Of these 129 hadiths, the writer takes the most relevant hadiths, namely the hadith from Abud Daud Number 1398 on economic empowerment and the hadith from Abu Daud number 18723. Community economic empowerment during the time of the prophet is in the hadith of Abu Daud, while the empowerment of Ahmad's hadith. Meanwhile, community empowerment during the caliphate: education, monotheism, morals, worship, health. The Caliphate then built mosques, appointed teachers, taught the contents of the Al-Quran and other Islamic teachings. The next caliphate: the freedom to teach according to the desired place. And the last Caliphate focused on security and peace. The relevance of community empowerment in educational institutions is very clear amid diversity but it is not yet maximally and evenly distributed. Abstract:
This study delves into the analysis of Hadith in H.M. Arsyad Thalib Lubis' Fatwa Book, titled Some Problems, with a specific focus on investigating the status of the Sanad and Matan, as well as exploring the method of Fiqhul Hadith employed in the book. The primary inquiries include determining Sanad's status, Matan's status, and the Fiqh al-Hadith method employed by Arsyad Talib Lubis. The research utilizes a literature-based approach with a scientific and methodological orientation. The findings reveal that out of 154 hadiths in the book, 97 are Sahih, 34 are Hasan, 14 are Da'if, 1 is Munkar, and 8 are not found in the Mutun al-Hadith. The Matan's status affirms that the contained hadiths align with the principles of the Qur'an, hadith, Ijma', Qiyas, and commendable Muslim practices, encouraging their incorporation into daily worship. The Fiqh al-Hadith method outlined in the book encompasses understanding the hadith following Quranic instructions, considering background, situational conditions, and purpose, distinguishing between variable means and fixed ends, discerning expressions of haqiqi and majadzi, recognizing the distinction between the unseen and the real, and ascertaining the meaning of words in the hadith. These findings contribute to a nuanced understanding of Hadith analysis and offer valuable insights for scholars and practitioners of Islamic jurisprudence.

Abstract:
Muslim women have been acknowledged for their huge contributions in building community, serving society, and promoting peace as reported in Hadith literature and Sīrah Nabawiyyah. This study aims to highlight related Hadiths concerning women and their roles in promoting peace, particularly from two authentic Hadith collections: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhāri and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim. This study also intends to present ontology visualisation of the collected Hadiths concerning women and peace. It focuses on how the Hadith describes the concept of peace in relation to women, and how women can practice her rights in building and maintaining peace. As a qualitative study, there are different approaches applied in determining the relationship between women and peace. First, gathering Hadiths into several themes related to peace by applying the thematic approach. Second, is the ontological mapping approach which aims in building and exhibit the relationship between women and peace, from the Hadith perspective. Third, an analytical approach is applied in order to analyze historical, logical, and contextual aspects of the related Hadiths. The finding shows that though the number of Hadiths concerning women and peace might be limited, those related Hadiths give a massive impact, particularly on women, and all mankind.

Abstract:
This article aims to advance the field of hadith interpretation by examining the ideas of three influential figures: Abu Rayyah, Juynboll, and Zakaria Ouzon. Their distinctive approaches, characterized by both logic and critical analysis of traditional methods, resonate with contemporary trends in hadith hermeneutics studies. This makes them ideal subjects for exploring new avenues in hadith interpretation. By analyzing relevant literature, this research will explore the connections between these figures’ ideas and their impact on hadith scholarship. This analysis will then serve as the foundation for building a new framework for interpreting hadiths effectively. Their unique approach to evaluating both the chain of narrators (sanad) and the content of the hadith (matn) opens up fresh possibilities for a more dynamic and meaningful interpretation process (ijtihād). This means judging a hadith interpretation not only by who told it, but also by how well it aligns with the core values of the Qur’an and established scientific knowledge. Drawing inspiration from the work of Gadamer and Gracia, this research emphasizes the importance of skilled interpreters for understanding hadiths fully. By considering the broader context and implications of each hadith, this approach ensures interpretations remain relevant to the ever-changing world.

Abstract:
Contemporary western scholarship on the hadith literature largely ignoresmost of the relevant secondary scholarship, namely, that produced by premodernhadith specialists, including the discussions and assessments foundin the rijal literature, the `ilal genre, and other works. Perhaps this neglectis born of the conviction that as religious persons, pre-modern scholarswere incapable of “doing” real history. Or perhaps it reflects the suspicionthat their assessments were designed exclusively to vindicate doctrinallycorrect hadiths. Neither assumption does justice to the traditional field ofhadith studies. It is thus fitting to understand this discipline, not onlybecause attention to the secondary literature is a requirement of responsiblescholarship in any field, but also because doing so can benefit the modernreevaluation of the hadith literature. The first step toward understanding traditional hadith scholarship is toknow its terminology. In English, there may be no better introduction to thisterminology than Eerik Dickinson’s translation of Ibn al-Salah’s (d.643/1245) classic work. In addition, the book briefly addresses some of thedefects that could appear in the hadiths, contradictions in their isnads (chainsof transmission) or matns (texts), such as when one transmitter relates a traditionwith an incomplete isnad and another transmitter provides a completeone, various subdisciplines of hadith studies and other matters.Ibn al-Salah’s book can help correct certain modern misunderstandingsabout the nature of traditional hadith scholarship and the technical meaningsof such basic terms as sahih, da`if, munkar, and tadlis. To give an example, the traditional discipline is often faulted for rating as sound (sahih) hadithsthat can be recognized as ahistorical. This presupposes, incorrectly, thatsahih means authentic. Yet Ibn al-Salah indicates that classifying a hadith assahih means no more than saying that its isnad and its variants satisfy certainformal criteria. Harald Motzki initiated a theory of hadith analysis called Isnad Cum Matn analysis to counter hadith criticism by orientalist groups who are skeptical of hadith. They assume that all hadiths are fake, and also assume that common links are hadith forgers. This study aims to analyze the hadith authentication method initiated by Harald Motzki. Sources of research come from the work of Motzki, books and other articles that review this theory. The results of this literature study are: 1) Moztki rejects the opinion of Gholdziher, Schacht and Juynboll who state that hadith is inauthentic; 2) A common link does not mean a forger of hadith; 3) According to Motzki, to assess the authenticity of a hadith, one must study both sanad and matn (isnad cum matn analysis); 4) This method was applied by Kamaruddin Amin to the hadith of shaum by comparing historical variants and paying attention to the characteristics of the hadith editorial staff, which finally led to the conclusion that the hadith of shaum had been spread starting in the first half of the Hijri century; 5) Motzki's critique of skeptical orientalists points to the emergence of hadith and their assumption of common link and single strand, that hadith has been the basis of law since the first century of hijriah, then common link is considered as a collector of hadith, while single strand is the most trusted path.

This paper discusses how Ibn al-Labbād criticized the hadith authority of as-Shafi’ī and the struggle for hadith authority and meaning. This paper uses a qualitative approach with literature review, and content analysis. The object of research in this paper is the work of Ibn al-Labbād (d. 333/944) along with his work in ar-Radd ‘alā as-Shāfi’ī. There are four categories of criticism by Ibn al-Labbād, they are: criticism of definitions, the causes of the appearance of hadith (asbāb al-wurūd), hadiths that are not fit with the verses of the Qur’an and laws that are not found in the hadith. Ibn al-Labbād’s critique of the interpretation of as-Shafi’ī is a proof that hadith text is not limited only to the understanding of the Shafi’ī school. Likewise, what was done by as-Shafi’ī also a proof so that the understanding of hadith is not only dominated and controlled by Malik.

This study is the thought of Mohammad Hashim Kamali in the science of hadith which is contained in the book A Textbook of Hadith Studies. This research aims to provide an overview of the critical methodology and criteria for the science of hadith, as well as to try to verify the accuracy of the text and the authenticity of the hadith. This research uses a qualitative research approach with the type of library research and historical research. The results of the study state that Kamali's thoughts only provide a glimpse of the efforts of the scholars and hadith scholars to verify the authenticity of the Prophet's hadith. The wealth of scientific works on the methodology of hadith science and the efforts made to compile many works on hadith cover the history of Islamic scholarship. The classification of hadith literature is divided into ten titles. The authors of this work apply certain critical principles, examine the value, advantages and disadvantages of the hadiths they collect, discuss the reliability of the narrators, and explain rare traditions, then examine these works by considering them to be reliable as the main criteria of guidance for narrators hadith. The number of overlapping biographies of hadith bearers is a sign of falsification of hadith. The falsification of hadith should be condemned regardless of any subject.

Abstract:
Sanad and matan criticism in the study of hadith science is a basic concept that needs to be understood and analyzed to strengthen belief in the quality and quantity of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. Sanad is a series of hadith narrators starting from friends who got it from Rasulullah to the last narrator. Meanwhile, matan is the content of the hadith itself. In particular, this research is expected to provide an understanding of sanad and matan criticism within the frame of hadith study, to determine the validity of hadith. Using a qualitative approach through library research, the author focuses on the object of the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad. which have been collected in hadith books or books. The literature study in this research is based on various references, both in the form of books, journals, and articles that are relevant to the theme of the writing. The results of this study indicate that the criticism of sanad and matan within the framework of hadith science is a science that examines the origins of the hadith transmission, the entire narration in a hadith with the existing characteristics and forms, as well as the matan to determine the quality and quantity of hadith which in turn will determine whether a hadith can be accepted or rejected as evidence in Islamic law.

Abstract:
Based on the quantity of narrators, hadith is divided into two, namely mutawatir and Ahad. Most of the teachings of Islam, be it creed or other problems, rely on the hadith ahad. If the ahad hadith cannot be used as evidence, then the consequence is that many Islamic teachings that are understood and believed by the majority of Muslims so far will be displaced. The discourse categorization of hadiths into mutawatir and Ahad will have an impact on the emergence of doubts and even rejection of the authority of the hadiths as a source of Islamic teachings after the Qur'an, which also means doubting most of the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad. This study aims to see the pros and cons. in practicing the hadith ahad. The method used in this research is a qualitative method through the documentation of data collection techniques, this technique is carried out by examining documents related to the authenticity of the ahad hadith in some hadith literature and other works. The data analysis is descriptive analysis and comparative. The results of the research show that even though these ahad hadiths do not show conviction, he shows them to strong suspicion, and they have become the legal basis before the mutawatir-ahad dichotomy appeared. In fact, the opinion that states that these ahad traditions cannot be used as evidence, even in matters of faith, is the opinion of bid'ah, has no basis in Islamic syari'at. The status of ahad hadith authenticity is consensus accepted through the arguments that have been explained by the scholars to refute some of the scholars who reject it.

Abstract:
Hadith, which is the second source of Islamic law, apart from functioning to explain the Qur'an, also serves to reinforce the laws of the Koran and serves to establish laws that are not found in the Koran. There are two contradictory hadiths related to the writing of hadith: the hadith which prohibits and the hadith which encourages the writing of hadith. The orders to pray, pay zakat, and perform Hajj are only mentioned in general. The Qur'an does not explain the number of cycles and the ways of performing the prayers, does not specify the nisabs of zakat, and also does not explain the ways of performing the pilgrimage. But all of that has been explained in detail and interpreted as broadly as possible by hadith. This research is a study that uses the literature review method which aims to discuss the polemic between the prohibition and permissibility of the use of hadith. Seeing the importance of the position of the hadith, this paper wants to discuss the condition of the hadith at the time of the Prophet and his companions, which is the most important phase of the history of hadith. This discussion includes the understanding of hadith and sunnah, how friends receive hadith from the Prophet, discussions about the prohibitions and recommendations for writing hadith, and the attitude of friends towards the transmission of hadith. The books used are the opinions of previous scholars and authors, and the journals used are sourced from updated journals.

This research aims to discuss the hadiths regarding the dual role of career women with psychological theory. This research applies qualitative types through literature studies using takhrij methods and hadith sharah. The results and discussion of this study include an overview of the dual role of women's careers, the redaction of hadiths on the dual role of career women, the concept of hadith in addressing the role of doubles among career women with psychological theory. The study concluded that women who go out to work psychologically arise from within themselves as a form of self-actualization as well as a hadith context that does not prohibit women from leaving the house to work. This research has limitations especially in psychological review, so researchers recommend that further research be conducted with the collaboration of researchers across disciplines discussed in the research theme.
