Abstract:
This article confirmed that the cultural tourism contents related to Hamel who is the author about 'Story of the wreck of the Sperwer yacht' are distorted to a large extent without historical understanding and historical evidence. And also critically reviewed the fact that this distortion is leading to continuous expanded reproduction. For this study, Hamel's contents and related previous studies were thoroughly utilized. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that among the historical and cultural facts related to Hamel, there were distortions in the contents known to have influenced by Hamel, such as herringbone pattern stone walls, clogs, and waterways. Therefore, I argued that a close examination of historical facts is necessary in the process of developing and researching cultural tourism contents. In particular, I think that many people may have had cultural influences from Hamel, but I made it clear that such thoughts were based on colonialism. For example, stone walls and aqueducts, stone Jangseung, and clogs have significance in themselves, even if they are not Hamel. The stone walls built throughout the village are beautiful in themselves, and the waterway in this area, which lacks agricultural water, has played a significant role in the continuation of agriculture. The ginkgo tree, which Hamel leaned on while missing his hometown, served as the g uardian deity of the villag ers, and still provides beautiful scenery and shade. Even without Hamel, byeong-yeong castle and its surrounding food contents are loved by visitors. And Hamel lived in this place for 7 years, and his 'Report of Hamel' is enough to arouse the curiosity of visitors with the clearly written text alone. It is now time to make it clear that presenting the historical facts related to Hamel as facts and presenting the contents development related to Hamel as an imaginative possibility is the first step to eliminate misunderstandings and to enable continuous development of contents related to Hamel.

Abstract:
The Poincaré equations, also known as Lagrange’s equations in quasicoordinates, are revisited with special attention focused on a diagonal form. The diagonal form stems from a special choice of generalized speeds that were first introduced by Hamel (Hamel, G., 1967, Theorctische Mechanik, Springer-Verlag, Berlin, Secs. 235 and 236) nearly a century ago. The form has been largely ignored because the generalized speeds create so-called Hamel coefficients that appear in the governing equations and are based on the partial derivative of a mass-matrix factorization. Consequently, closed-form expressions for the Hamel coefficients can be difficult to obtain. In this paper, a newly developed operator overloading technique is used within a simulation code to automatically generate the Hamel coefficients through an exact partial differentiation together with a numerical evaluation. This allows the diagonal form of Poincaré’s equations to be numerically integrated for system simulation. The diagonal form and the techniques used to generate the Hamel coefficients are applicable to general systems, including systems with closed kinematic chains. Because of Hamel’s original influence, these special Poincaré equations are called the Hamel representations and their usefulness in dynamic simulation and control is investigated.

Abstract:
Lighter than air (LTA) vehicles have many advantageous capabilities over other aircraft, including low power consumption, high payload capacity, and long endurance. However, they exhibit manoeuvrability and control reliability challenges, and these limitations are particularly significant for smaller unmanned LTA. In this thesis, a 4 m length autonomous airship with a sliding gondola is presented. A rigid keel, mounted to the helium envelope, follows the helium envelope profile from the midsection to the nose of the vehicle. Moving the gondola along the keel produces upwards of 90-degree changes in pitch angle, thereby improving manoeuvrability and allowing for rapid changes in altitude. The longitudinal multi-body equations of motion were developed for this prototype using the Boltzmann–Hamel method. An adaptive PID controller was then designed to control the pitch inclination using the gondola’s position. This control system is capable of self-tuning the controller gains in real time by minimizing a pre-defined sliding condition. Experimental flight tests were carried out to evaluate the controller’s performance on the prototype.

Abstract:
In this paper, authors show the results of performance simulation of a 3PRS lower-mobility parallel manipulator actuated by electronic devices. The simulation includes a mechatronic model of the actuators, the dynamic response of the mechanism found using the Boltzmann-Hamel equations, and a model of the control. The dynamics of the actuators is modelled using two transfer functions found by means of a test based identification method. Authors find the explicit Dynamic equations needed for simulation using analytical mechanics. Lagrange equations are convenient and systematic in open-loop serial kinematic chains. However, for closed-loop mechanisms are cumbersome, even with the help of Lagrange multipliers. Moreover, if spatial rotations are involved, generalized coordinates are very much coupled in the expressions of Lagrange functions to be differentiated. Boltzmann-Hamel equations come to help in this regard. By using Simulink, authors could evaluate the stability of the control and the bandwidth of the manipulator.

Two-wave mixing in photorefractive media has been studied theoretically and experimentally by a number of researchers, and a wide range of prospective applications of the effect have been demonstrated or proposed. Recently, Hamel de Montchenault et al., have demonstrated the amplification of high frequency amplitude modulated signals via two-wave mixing in BSO.1,2 In this paper we develop a theoretical framework for the analysis of two-wave mixing with an amplitude modulated signal beam. Preliminary experimental confirmation of the theory is provided.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper proposes to extend this set of causality assignment procedures. The proposed alternative procedures are mainly inspired by formulations developed in the mechanical domain. They enable Lagrange equations, Hamilton equations and Boltzmann-Hamel equations, as well as formulations with the Lagrange multipliers, to be obtained. After a brief introduction of bond graphs and the causality concept, section 2 presents the three initial procedures (SCAP, LCAP, RCAP) with their modified versions (MSCAP, MLCAP, MRCAP). Section 3 goes through the alternative proposed procedures in detail. Section 4 deals with examples for the application of the alternative procedures proposed. Finally the conclusion shows the important features of such alternative causality assignment procedures on the use of bond graph language.

Abstract:
The paper compares latest views of theorists and practitioners on development of management. Management as a scientific discipline develops over 150 years. During this period many new practices, processes, structures and techniques appeared. Some of them were remarkable management innovation that changed ways how things happen in organization. Recent years brought big changes like globalization, and ICT development to our lives. Theorists represented by J. Birkinshaw, G. Hamel, and H. Mintzberg think that these changes initiate new period of huge innovations in management, may be even the change of the paradigm. We do the research on whether practitioners see the shift in management predicted by academicians. The paper compares the ideas of academicians with results of the pilot survey of this research.

Full text
Abstract:
Review question / Objective: The aim of this scoping review is known what the definition of intimate partner violence is used in the scientific literature. Background: In the scientific literature, intimate partner violence (IPV) has been defined using various terms: aggression, domestic violence, interpersonal violence, intimate partner violence, domestic violence, spousal violence, family violence, etc. (Sprague, 2013; Hamel et al., 2015; O'Hara, 2018, Rahmani et al., 2019). This variety of terminology has hindered a consensus definition, causing a fragmented view of the phenomenon. There are several explanations, one of the main ones being that IPV has been studied by numerous scientific disciplines, each of them associating it with terms specific to its field, focusing on some variables and overshadowing the relevance of others (Nicolás et al. , 2014). Specifically, the term Domestic Violence (DV) and IPV are used interchangeably. However, DV refers to any form of violence perpetrated within a family relationship. It can refer to violence, but also to violence against children or older members of the same family by another family member (Tavoli et al., 2016). It should be noted that the confusion between these terms has been generated since 1993 (Pence & Paymar, 1993) to the present (Bates, 2020).
