The lecture recital was given on April 18, 1977. The subject was Adaptation of Handel's Castrato Airs for Bass, and it included a discussion of conventions peculiar to Handelian opera seria, concerns regarding adaptation of Handel's castrato airs and a comparison of adaptation practices in eighteenth- and twentieth-century presentations of Handel's operas. Three coloratura castrato airs and two virtuoso bass airs were performed at the conclusion of the lecture.
In addition to the lecture recital, one operatic role and three recitals of solo literature for voice, piano and chamber ensemble were publicly performed. These included the role of "Samuele" in A Masked Ball, by Verdi, performed in English on March 19, 1975 with the Opera Theatre of North Texas State University, a program presented on November 24, 1975,of solo literature for voice, piano, and chamber ensemble, including works by J. S. Bach, W. Mozart, M. Ravel and G. Finzi, a program consisting of a set of works by R. Schumann presented on June 27, 1985, and a program presented on October 28, 1985,of solo literature for voice, piano, and chamber ensemble,including works by A. Caldara, G. Handel, H. Wolf, H. Duparc, C. Ives and S. Barber.

This doctoral thesis had as its proposal the analysis of local Productive Arrangements of the confectionery sector in the cities of Cerquilho and Tietê and its socioeconomic impacts, reflections on work relations and strategic objectives. The proposal is based on the changes of the economy, the processes of production management, the relations between capital and labor and the human relationship regarding family, professional and personal interactions. The thesis had as general objective of reflection the verification of the impact of the Brazilian crisis in the APL of Cerquilho and Tietê and its consequences in the social areas and sought to identify the externalities that directly or indirectly affected the APL. In order to meet the established objectives, the case study methodology was used, with comparative and documentary analysis, considering a survey of the data. Contributed to the decision making: monitoring research developed by Sebrae SP; Globalized enterprise management models; analysis of comprehensive and specific indicators and interviews. It can be inferred up to the present time, and in accordance with the field and documentary research currently available in the areas addressed that the hypothesis was proven, insofar as the consequences for the organizations belonging to the APL were not different from the organizations outside the APL, that is, closing, unemployment and falling GDP, with all relevant social implications. The research sought to show that the benefits generated by APL extrapolate the improvements observed within the group and gains also appear in social areas. If there is a frustration with the group, it is that the people realized that the gain could be much greater, minimizing the effects of the Brazilian crisis
Esta tese de doutorado teve como proposta realizar a análise de Arranjos Produtivos do setor de confecção nas cidades de Cerquilho e Tietê e seus impactos socioeconômicos, consequências nas relações de trabalho e objetivos estratégicos. A proposta se fundamenta nas mudanças da economia, nos processos de gestão da produção, nas relações entre capital e trabalho e no relacionamento humano quanto às interações familiares, profissionais e pessoais. A tese teve como objetivo geral de reflexão verificar o impacto da crise brasileira no APL de Cerquilho e Tietê e suas consequências nas áreas sociais. Procurou também identificar as externalidades que de forma direta ou indireta afetaram o APL. Para atender aos objetivos estabelecidos, fez-se uso da metodologia de estudo de caso, com análise comparativa e documental, considerando um levantamento de dados sucundários. Contribuíram para a tomada de decisão: pesquisa de monitoramento elaborada pelo Sebrae SP; os modelos de gestão de empresas globalizadas; análise de indicadores abrangentes e específicos e entrevistas. Pode-se inferir até o presente momento, e em conformidade com a pesquisa de campo e documental atualmente disponíveis nas áreas abordadas que a hipótese foi comprovada, na medida em que as consequências para as organizações pertencentes ao APL não foram diferentes das organizações que não parte fazem do APL, ou seja, fechamento, desemprego e queda do PIB, com todas implicações sociais pertinentes. Eighteenth-century London was a hotbed for instrumental arrangements, and many of these works were derived from the operas of George Frideric Handel (1685-1759). Thirty-one of his operas, in whole or in part, were arranged for recorder or flute, and there were over seventy keyboard transcriptions of the overtures to these operas. While the transcriptions of Handel overtures have been thoroughly examined, opera aria transcriptions have never received an appropriate level of study and analysis. The Ladys Banquet or The Lady’s Entertainment provides an excellent starting point. Not only does it include numerous opera aria arrangements, but its volumes were re-issued several times, suggesting a wide circulation. Its study raises a number of issues, including publication and authorship of Handel transcriptions, gendered music of the eighteenth century and analysis of opera transcriptions.
The Ladys Banquet or The Lady’s Entertainment is a collection of six volumes of keyboard music published by John Walsh in the first half of the eighteenth century. The first two books were issued in 1704 and 1706 respectively, and included many undemanding pieces by fashionable composers such as Jeremiah Clarke (c.1674-1707) and Henry Purcell (1659-1695). The Third and Fourth Books followed in circa 1715 and 1716 and contain predominantly dance tunes and popular songs revised for the keyboard. When, in the early 1730s, the Fifth and Sixth Books appeared, the original four volumes were revised, and included wholly different material than the first editions. The publications of John Walsh are notoriously confusing owing to their lack of publication dates, repeated use of title pages, and misleading advertisements. The Ladys Banquet, as a whole, is especially bewildering because of the reissues of the collection and the changing repertoire. My research focuses on the Fifth Book of The Ladys Banquet, first printed around 1734, due to its abundance of opera aria transcriptions and consistency of content within editions.

Study aims: To determine the related factors of the changes in the living arrangements for the middle and old aged people in Taiwan, especially social support. Methods: Using Taiwan Longitudinal Study on Aging(TLSA) survey data, participants aged over 50 years old in year 1996 were included in this study, and followed up in 2003 and 2007. Social support was classified as emotional and instrumental support. Four types of living arrangements were classified, including living alone, living with spouse, living with family, and living with others. SAS statistical software, version 9.4, and logistic regression analysis were applied to analyze the determinants of living arrangement transitions in 1996~2003 and 2003~2007. Results: Those who with higher instrumental supports will lower the likelihood of living arrangement transition, in middle and old age people, Odds Ratios (ORs) were 0.85 in 1996-2003 and 0.85 in 2003-2007, in middle and old age women, Odds Ratios (ORs) were 0.83 in 1996-2003 and 0.80 in 2003-2007. Those who living with family in 1996 and in 2003, the relationship between instrumental support and living arrangement transitions, the ORs to transit to living alone, were OR=0.62 in 1996-2003 and OR=0.67 in 2003-2007. Male with higher emotional supports, the likelihood of living arrangement transition was elevated, the OR was 1.11 in 2003-2007. Those who living alone in 2003, the relationship between emotional support and living arrangement transition, the OR to transit to living with family was 1.31. Conclusions: Those who with higher instrumental supports were with lower probability to transit their living arrangements and stay in their original living arrangements, especially those who living with family. Those who living alone in 2003, the likelihood to transit to living with family in 2007 was elevated when they got more emotional supports.

In the paper, we use data mining techniques to analyze and retrieve customers’ traveling patterns from the database in the traveling system built in the WWW environment. Our solution procedure consists of two phases. First, we propose three algorithms embedded in the system to arrange the traveling routes and accommodations for customers. Second, we use mining techniques to extract the most interesting knowledge hidden in the database. In the implementation, we provide more convenient services and more useful information than other traditional travel agencies.

Composite materials are common materials using in engineering and the fiber composite laminate is widely used. With various fiber arrangement, the strength of material can be enhanced. Since the carbon nanotube has mechanical properties with high strength and high stiffness, it is appropriately used as reinforcement material. In this study, carbon fiber, epoxy and carbon nanotube are combined by Rule of Mixture and Halpin-Tsai equation, and the fiber direction and price of materials are also considered. The optimum arrangement of fiber direction and material volume fraction are calculated by ANSYS. Finally, the optimum results of cost and weight are compared with typical carbon fiber laminate.

The arrangement graph is not only a generalization of star graph but is also more flexible than the star graph in terms of selecting the major design parameters: degree, diameter, and number of nodes. The arrangement graph has many properties, such as hierarchical structure, vertex and edge symmetry, simple and optimal routing, and many fault tolerance properties. However, the common problem with the direct network is that the degree of each vertex is not fixed, making it difficult to scale. In this paper we propose an indirect arrangement network. The indirect arrangement networks are to the arrangement graph as the indirect cube-type networks are to the n-cube. The new network is obtained by unfolding the arrangement graph. It is modular and is constructed from (m*m)-crossbar switches, where m=n-k+1. The routing in the indirect arrangement network is simple and the packet is sent to the correct destination without carrying extra routing information. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first in the efforts of coming up with indirect arrangement networks. The performance is analyzed and the analytic results are verified through simulations. It is shown that the two results match each other quite well. The indirect arrangement network can be a good alternative to the indirect cube-type or star-type networks.

In the study, we used polyacrylonitrile to produced uniaxially aligned polymer nano-fibers by performing electrospinning method which makes use of a collector consisting of two pieces of electrically conductive substrates separated. In our investigation, we used two kinds of electrospinning laboratory mechanism to spinning our fibers. We used SEM to observe the fiber arrangement for this two condition such that : (1) the distance of deposition electrode was controlled at 1cm、3cm、5cm. (2) the deposition time was maintain in 15min、30min、1hour、2hours. We produced the uniaxially aligned double layer nano-fibers, which exhibited two array angles, 45.0 and 90.0 degree, by performing the vertical type electrospinning system in 2 hours and two pieces of electrically conductive substrates separated by 3cm. We investigated the filter efficiency of nano-fiber by using NaCl particles 5 different diameters at different array angle. In our study, the array angle distribution of the nano-filbers which made from vertical type electrospinning system is smaller than that from horizontal type electrospinning system. But the fiber orientation will be changed in time scale. After 1 to 2 hours, the Fiber orientation angle will reduce to a constant value. Moreover, the penetrating particle size of 45 degree and 90 degree uniaxially aligned nano-fibers are 29.16% and 27.18%, but the values of pressure drop are 40.1mmH2O and 26.6mmH2O separately.

Score reduction is a process that arranges music for a target instrument by reducing original music. In this dissertation we present a music arrangement framework that uses score reduction to automatically arrange music for a target instrument. According to the approach of score reduction, the goal is to include as many important parts of the original music as possible within the constraint of the target instrument so that the arranged version is similar to the original. In our proposed framework, the original music is first analyzed to determine the type of arrangement element of each section. Then, the phrases are identified and each is assigned a utility according to its type of arrangement element. For a set of utility-assigned phrases, we finally transform the music arrangement into an optimization problem and propose a phrase selection algorithm to solve it. The music is arranged by selecting appropriate phrases satisfying the playability constraints of a target instrument. Using the proposed framework, we implement a music arrangement system for the piano in our experiments. Several experiments were conducted to evaluate our system. To avoid subjective opinions, one approach of the experiments similar to Turing-test is used to evaluate the quality of the music arranged by our system. The experimental results show that our system is able to create viable music for the piano. To capture the characteristics of the music for enhancing the proposed music arrangement framework, we introduce a new type of repeating patterns, polyphonic repeating pattern and propose algorithms, A-PRPD (Apriori-based Polyphonic Repeating Pattern Discovery) and D-PRPD (Depth-first-search based Polyphonic Repeating Pattern Discovery), to discover them from music data. Furthermore, a bit-string approach is developed for improving the efficiency of both proposed algorithms. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithms are both effective and efficient for mining polyphonic repeating patterns from synthetic music data and real data, and D-PRPD with bit-string approach is the most efficient approach in most cases. The discovered polyphonic repeating patterns can be used to enhance in the phrase identification and utility assignment phase of our proposed framework such that the phrases with music characteristics will be easy to be selected.

This thesis conferring LED that operates in full power and nature convection circumstance. By changing the different arrangements, we hope to improve its performance, less junction temperature increase and less influence on total luminous flux. If possible, we hope to decrease the number of LED, and still maintain its own regulation specifications, achieving the purpose of energy saving, extending its life and cost down. The method for analysis is using datasheet on internet which is supplied by LED manufacturers. The datasheet has to include three important parameters that relate to thermal, electrical, and optical properties, and its optical spectrum distribution diagram. The three parameters is TSP (it is a coefficient which stands for the relationship of thermal-electrical coupling), the decline curve illustration that describes the increase of temperature, and the decrease of luminous flux, and the directly proportional coefficient to the red shift of dominant wavelength when the temperature is increasing. After finishing thermal-electrical coupling iterations till convergence, one can get the reduction of luminous flux and the change of mixing color that represent by correlated color temperature Hoping this analysis method of LED arrangement will achieve the aim of cost down by decreasing the number of LED. With simulation and programming, we can obtain the result that under such difficult conditions, if we can decrease 3W LED from 15 to 14 by pulling up the lager distance of structure(for example: from 0.5cm, 1cm to more than 3cm, like 4.5cm,7cm, or 10cm). Also we hope this method which can find out the limit of number decreasing and the distance it should has would apply to illumination which owns more power or fewer heat dissipation area.

In order to overcome the diffraction limit, according to a method of previous research[4] is to put the single microspheres on the measuring surface so that we can see nanometer high resolution imaging by nano-jet technology. We have to expand the imaging region into large two-dimensional microspheres array because the single microsphere imaging region is too small, and there is no arrangement method can be formed perfect large area with-two-dimensional microsphere array now. Therefore, this studies proposes a novel self-assembling method, successfully arranged a 1cmx1cm single layer two-dimensional structure by reducing the friction of the arrangement substrate, microspheres suspended of the ethylene glycol add water solution of different concentrations, different volatilization temperature and microsphere suspension concentration to control 6μm microspheres arrangement. The results of using with lubricating graphite substrate, weight concentration of ethylene glycol and water is 9:1, volatilization temperature at 100℃ and 5x〖10〗^(-6) wt% microsphere suspension, can get the best microspheres arrangement and reduce the chance of double layer microspheres arrangement.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of multinational enterprises overseas arrangement on earnings management. Foreign investment complicates the financial reports. The information asymmetry between managers and outside investors will increase and this may cause a higher degree of earnings management. On the other hand, the accruals in various subsidiaries which tend to offset may lead to a lower degree of earnings management. Our sample period is from 2009 to 2011. We examine whether overseas arrangement will exacerbate or mitigate earnings management. We discuss it from four aspects: the degree of internationalization, the number of layers between affiliated companies, entry mode choice and the proportion of tax heaven. Our research results reveal that there is a positive relation between the degree of internationalization and earnings management, while there is a negative relation between the number of layers, the proportion of using joint venture, the proportion of tax heaven and earnings management.

Three series of nitrogenous dendrimers have been prepared by convergent approach including C8GnCl (n=1,2,3,4,5), C8GnNH (n=1,2,3,4) and (C8Gn)2N (n=1,2,3,4) compounds. The dendrimers were obtained in good yields and good solubility because of no protected and deprotected actions in the synthesized steps together with long chain alkyl group on terminal sites. C8G3Cl and (C8G3)2N molecules have been discovered to have lamellar crystal phase by polar optical microscope (POM) and C8G3NH, C8G4Cl, (C8G4)2N and C8G4NH molecules have been discovered to have lamellar columnar (ColL) phase. The enthalpy of C8G3Cl and (C8G3)2N are similarly at 40 (kJ/mol) by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and enthalpy of lamellar columnar phase molecules are between 0.4 and 4 (kJ/mol). We can find that different packing between C8G3Cl and C8G3NH molecules by power X-ray diffraction pattern (pXRD). The configuration based on the simulation using Cache program is changed from flat state to three-dimensional state when the generation of dendrimers is increasing, the long alkylation overlap in high generation of dendrimers seriously showing high viscosity. The long alkylation in the fifth general molecule overlaps exaggeratedly to reduce liquid crystal phase and completely good solubility when compared with other general molecules. C8G5Cl and (C8G4)2N molecules have good heating stability under 400℃ by TGA and electric stability between +1.3 ~ -2.0 (v) by cyclic voltammetry (CV), which is the advantage be the better application. To study the distribution of the molecule on substrate, we dissolved some molecules in THF solvent, and spread them on silicon chip by spinning-coating. For C8G3Cl and C8G3NH, the molecules on the chip after heating show better smooth distribution than the chip before heating because of thermal self-assembly of the liquid crystal. But it did not happen in C8G5Cl case molecule. Compounds C8G3Cl、(C8G2)2N and (C8G1)2N with no dicotic phase have been doped with tetracyanoethylene (TCNE). The mixtures of G3ClTN21 and G3ClTN11 have lamellar columnar phase and 2G2TN11 have lamellar crystal phase. The series of mixtures of 2G1TN show lamellar crystal phase. By DSC, the enthalpy of mixtures with TCNE are less than original compounds, and decrease gradually when the ratio of TNCE increase. We can regard that dendrimers will change their arrangement because of doping TCNE at suitable ratio.

More speci¯cally, let N =j V (An;k) j, v(i) 2 V (An;k) for 1 · i · N and hv(1); v(2); ¢ ¢ ¢ ; v(N); v(1)i be a hamiltonian cycle of An;k. We prove that An;k con- tains k(n ¡ k) hamiltonian cycles, denoted by Cl = hv(1); vl(2); ¢ ¢ ¢ ; vl(N); v(1)i for all 1 · l · k(n ¡ k), such that vl(i) 6= vl0 (i) for all 2 · i · N whenever l 6= l0 . The result is optimal since each vertex of An;k has exactly k(n ¡ k) neighbors.

In music, a medley is an organized piece composed from segments of existing pieces. Ordering and bridge for connection between segments are the important elements for medley arrangement. Automatic medley arrangement is helpful for playing a set of music continuously which is common in banquet, party, restaurant, shopping mall, etc.. This thesis aims to develop the automatic medley arrangement method by using data mining techniques and music arrangement theory. The proposed method first segments each music and discovers the significant segment from each music. Then, the linear arrangement based on the similarities between significant segments is generated. Finally, in order to connect segments smoothly in the medley, the bridge between two segments is generated and inserted by using model training. Three models, melody progression, chord progression and rhythm models are learned from training data. For the experiments, testing data is collected from popular piano music and thirty-four people are invited to evaluate the effectiveness of the rhythm recognition of accompaniment, the extraction of significant segment, the linear arrangement of segments, and the creation of bridge. Experimental results show that the proposed medley arrangement method performs well.

The problem of a real case of route arrangement caused by the needs of delivering goods directly to home is discussed in this paper. Normally the route is arranged by a driver according to his experience. However, such arrangement may not be appropriate. As a matter of fact, an accurate distance matrix is established by performing geographical information software, PowerMap. An efficient delivering spot planning strategy is proposed in this paper to make the analysis more practical and reasonable. The problem is solved by adopting a Genetic Algorithm (GA), which is carried out by using commercial software, Evolver. We also discuss the parameter setting effect on GA simulation performance. We adopt both the classic parameter settings suggested by past articles and the software default setting concept, and also observe the difference between two parameter setting concepts. The result shows that the best route given by GA is much better than that arranged from the driver’s experience, and can shorten the original distance for about 17% every day.

The arrangement graph A(n,k)is not only a generalization of star graph (n-k=1), but also more flexible. Designing efficient routing algorithm on a regular interconnection network is a fundamental issue for the parallel processing techniques. In this study, we elucidate multi-node broadcasting problem in the all-port communication model on the arrangement graph. This can be simplified into one-to-all broadcasting problem, we also apply the routing algorithm to one-to-all broadcasting problem. Our routing algorithm is proposed by constructing 2(n-k) spanning trees, where height of each spanning tree is 2k-1. Using 2(n-k) spanning trees allows us to present efficient (one/multi)-node broadcasting algorithms in arrangement graph. The arrangement graph is assumed to use one-port and all-port models and packet-switching(or store-and-forward) technique. We show that the transmission cost of our one-node broadcasting is lower than previous result in the literature. Further, our multi-node broadcasting outperform a previous result which only exploiting n-k spanning trees. This justified by our performance analysis.

Because of the poor efficiency on solar cells,the replacement of solar panel from reflecting mirror inside solar concentrator will be our goal of research for this time. We use FRED to simulate solar solar concentrator for visible light owns the strongest energy and that is the main reason we choose the discrete sampling function from FRED to capture visible lights from spectrum as stimulate light source. Furthermore, we apply cutting sphere on solar concentrator and set up 50% covering on mask absorption to decrease solar panel functions and place reflecting mirror around to increase condenser effects via light reflecting. On the process we compare three settings, we found out average placement owns slightly better results than the other two. Also, the result shows the efficiency increased on every single light almost equal to 100% of original reflecting on solar concentrator while applied 7 solar panels.

How to reduce bandwidth is an important issue in wireless broadcast environment due to its limited wireless resource. Optimizing the broadcasted data sequence can not only reduce the client’s latency time but also save the power and reduce bandwidth. Our context focus on the scheduling problem of broadcasted data. Optimal directed linear arrangement problem can corresponding to optimal for data scheduling. Broadcasted Data item can be seem as vertex in the graph. And importance of each edge dependency can seem as weight of edge. Access pattern of all the data to be download can be represented by a DAG. Our research use successive vertex order pair process to make partially ordered set into totally ordered set. We propose two heuristic algorithms: maximum reduction pair and preemptive edge. The order of the broadcasted data item will used to minimize the access time for the client. In this context we focus on how to minimize the access latency between two related data items. Experimental results have shown that our method is efficient and effective under different skew environments .

In this study, a photoactive PbS thin layer was deposited on the fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) via successive ionic solution coating and reaction process, and it was used as counter electrode to raise the exhibition in power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the quantum dot-sensitized solar cell (QDSSC). Under illumination, the Fermi level of the p-type photoactive PbS counter electrode shifts toward the direction of valance band, and the photovoltage increases due to it equals to a sum of the chemical potential differences between the anode and cathode in a tandem QDSSC. At the same time, with small band gap PbS can also utilize the light which was not absorbed by working electrode to increase the current density. The tandem QDSSC exhibits a short-circuit photocurrent (Jsc) of 18.26 mA cm-2, an open-circuit photovoltage (Voc) of 573 mV, a fill factor of 44.47, and a conversion efficiency of 4.83 % under one-sun illumination.

For most people, automobiles are means of transportation; however, for thieves, automobiles are hot cash. No matter how the thieves handle the loots, their final goal is for money. Car anti-thief system is an electronic device installed in a vehicle attempting to increase the difficulty and extend the time of car stealing. This study aims at two goals: to prohibit a car theft by disabling the starting system of the engine and preventing the cars from being driven away even if the engine is started. Therefore, the combination of a rolling code type alarm mainboard, an UPS speaker, a check valve, a solenoid operated directional control valves (2-port-2-position,normal open), digital logic circuits, a comparator, a timer, and a hydraulic system the starting system can be disabled and the brake system can be locked when the car is being stolen so as to achieve the abovementioned dual purposes.

The n-star graph has been shown as an attractive alternative to the widely used hypercube. Like hypercube, the star graph possesses regular structure, node symmetry, edge symmetry, hierarchical structure and maximally fault-tolerant capabilities. It has significant advantages over the hypercube, such as a lower degree and a smaller diameter. However, a major practical difficulty with the n-star graph is that the restriction on the number of nodes: n! for an n-star graph. Since there is a large gap between n! and (n+1)!, one may face the choice of either too few or too many available nodes. Recently, the arrangement graph has been proposed to solve the problem of star graphs. It is a generalization of the star graph (n-k=1), and preserves most of the excellent properties of the star graph. To find edge-disjoint spanning trees is an important issue in the interconnection networks. The more edge-disjoint spanning trees we have, the more bandwidth we can used. Moreover, it can support the fault tolerant broadcasting. In this thesis, we propose an algorithm to construct edge-disjoint spanning trees in . First, we construct n edge-disjoint spanning trees for , and prove their height is optimal. The result is better than Chen’s [10]. Then we show how to obtain maximum edge-disjoint spanning trees with optimal height for .

Transverse structures such as check dams, consolidation works, and submerged cross dams are frequently used to stabilize the riverbed or prevent sediment problems in river regulation engineering. Conventional consolidation works usually block the passageway of a river, and cause aquatic creatures unable to move smoothly upstream and downstream the river. In addition, the conventional consolidation works induce a simplistic environment which is a poor river habitat environment for aquatic creatures. Conventional consolidation works need to be adjusted in order to maintain an over-all balanced ecological environments, e.g. constructing natural river landscapes, and creating ecological habitat for aquatic creatures. Thereafter, a win-win objective can be achieved for both safety and ecology. In this study, a series of experiments for consolidation works are carried out in a straight channel, which include various types of consolidation works, such as conventional, saw-tooth, and wood-tip consolidation works etc., and different arrangements of them in order to understand riverbed scour-deposition variations after these works have been installed. The riverbed stability, the retardation rate of riverbed scour, and the diversity of flows are chosen as evaluation criteria to evaluate different types and arrangements of the works. Based on these criteria, the experimental results show that wood-tip consolidation works, with an interval of twice the river width and a back-filled riverbed material size of twice the original one, can offer both safe and ecological advantages to river habitat environments. Therefore, the wood-tip consolidation work is an idea type for the consolidation works.

X-ray examination has been playing an important role to detect early lesion for centuries, the unwanted radiation irritates to patient and relatives is much concerned. The purpose of this study focused on the detection of unwanted radiation by using TLD-100H to record the space radiation distribution. 80 TLD-100H (Harshaw, USA) were allocated in the matrix of space of 140×180 cm², 20 cm each. A LUNGMAN (Kyoto Kagaku, Japan) chest phantom were radiographed 20 times by X-ray machine (Shimadzu, Japan) with 110 kVp, 3.2 mAs, FOV set at 40×40 cm², SID at 100 cm, All data were calculated by Excel software with descriptive analysis. The results depicted the average of primary beam of X-ray to the phantom was 1545.10 μԌy, and that of surround radiation dose was 25.11 μԌy, the average of scatter radiation at cathode side was197.15 μԌy, and that of 81.07 μԌy at anode one, background radiation dose was detected of 2.98 μԌy. The study suggests that the radiation dose other than primary bean was lower and obviously directional. It shows the heel effect plays an important role of radiation distribution at exposure. The study also receives the highest average scatter radiation dose at the point of 50cm away from examination table, it gradually decreased of center of primary beam were also observed.

This thesis explores the process of how cross-strait families, who are long-term residents of China, choose between Taiwanese or Chinese citizenship for their children. Issues such as the time of residence, the spouse’s' nationality, political awareness, the two countries' respective economic strength and other related factors come into play when parents are forced to pick either Taiwanese or Chinese citizenship for their children. How do they arrange, deliberate and negotiate with each other? What are the complex factors shaping the selection process? With a total of 24 respondents, this study employs in-depth interviews as the principal method of data collection. The results of the interviews show that Taiwanese citizenship is still the main option for cross-strait families. This study explains this choice on the basis of three factors: First, in comparison to a Chinese passport, cross-strait and international travel is more convenient with a Taiwanese passport. Second, with the Chinese government adopting a “quasi-citizen treatment" for Taiwanese residents, children holding Taiwanese citizenship enjoy certain advantages when entering the Chinese school system. Finally, the improvement of Taiwan's healthcare system with its stable quality of medical treatment in comparison to China. All of these factors are part of cross-strait parents' pragmatic considerations, leading them to ultimately choose Taiwanese citizenship for their children. This thesis further points out that, in the initial stage of China's reform period, the differences in lifestyles between Taiwan and China have caused cross-strait marriages to prefer Taiwanese nationality for their children. However, in contrast to China’s overall national strength fueled by rapid economic development in recent years, Taiwan’s economic growth has dwarfed. To a certain degree this has affected parents' willingness to choose Taiwanese citizenship for their children. Although families have benefited from China's economic development, improving their quality of life, they ultimately have to face the many contradictions their “Taiwan consciousness” creates with regard to China, making Taiwanese citizenship the main option for cross-strait families. In other words, the choice of a child’s nationality as it presents itself in cross-strait families who are long-term residents of China can be described as a mutually intertwined mode of selection. When choosing a nationality, parents are confronted both with the improvements in China's society and the restrictions set up by cross-strait nationality management, letting them choose only one passport. Ultimately, the parent's imagination for the child's nationality, and long-term consultation and consideration within the family determine whether cross-strait families will choose Taiwanese or Chinese citizenship for their offspring.

Taiwan located in the middle of two tectonic plates, therefore, there are often earthquakes happened in Taiwan. The earthquakes always make significant damage in life and properties every year. The poor design on the buildings or the intensity shacking by earthquakes may cause buildings fallen and is also a high risk on life living in the unsafe building. Shear wall is a wall that is made of reinforcing concrete. The building with shear wall design on reinforcing concrete is basically located in the walkway space near the elevator. From the exterior, shear wall looks exactly the same as a normal wall but the function is different. The usage of the compartment brick is to bear the weight of the building structure while shear wall also bear the weight of the building. But its main function is designed for earthquake resistant. Therefore, shear wall cannot be easily destroyed or change its location otherwise it will affect the anti-seismic capability of the building. This study will be presenting the architecture of design optimization of building’s anti-seismic capability using configuration of shear wall arrangement. First, this study will start off from working on Ansys with analysis model for seismic analysis. Secondly, the result will be taken to the automatic design program for optimization. Finally, the modified binary differential evolution(MBDE) algorithm will be applied to improve of shear wall configuration design for the minimum displacement of building with reasonable cost during earthquake.

Because it only can put 6dies LED in a leadframe in the market condition, we first research 6dies LED, then, we hope to rise CRI, uniformity and make spectrum continuously. This paper investigates whether ownership and governance structures affect mutual fund families’ decisions on running their funds internally or externally. Two important findings have been documented. First, the in-house funds of 100% in-house fund families achieve better performance than the outsourced funds of 100% outsourced fund families. For the mixed fund families having in-house and outsourced contract arrangements simultaneously,outsourced funds are associated with better performance. Second, governance structures play important roles in discipline fund families. Fund families with smaller board size, higher percentage of independent directors, particularly those with 75% or higher, and insider chairman are associated with running their funds internally. Ownership structure does not seem to play critical role in contract arrangement. In sum, our findings reinforce SEC’s proposal that governance reform in fund industry is urgent and needed.

Airline daily operations are often limited by delay concerns. The duration of flight delay is difficult to accurately estimate and thus, might certainly cause inconvenience to air travelers for completing their trips in punctual manner. The purpose of this study is to identify the travelers’ preference for passenger arrangement mechanisms under flight delay situations. This study uses the stated preference method which considers a set of attributes, including duration of delay, monetary compensation, snacks and beverages, cabin class upgrade, free airport lounges and free hotel, to capture the passengers’ preferences for alternative arrangements. An integrated model is developed using the cumulative prospect theory combined with the discrete choice model that identifies significant attributes. Approximately 800 distributed questionnaires were collected from the Taiwanese air travelers who took the full-service carriers at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. The result showed that if a major flight delay occurs and the airline wish the passengers to stay with the booked flight, the airlines need to maintain a good long-term relationship with their passengers by offering exclusive arrangements, such as free meals and, more importantly, free lounge and hotel service in long-distance travel. If the booked flight cannot resume operation in time, the airline company could assist high priority passengers to take the next flight by the same airline or transfer to another airline. An effective scheme is to offer fare discount to typical passengers who are willing to fly business class and a free grade to frequent flyers.

As a result, Party's rights and obligations need to discuss. Because the fertility rate reduces and the medical science and technology progress, causes the babies and infants birth rate to decrease progressively year by year, thus causes the average population to reduce year by year, but people average life-span lengthens equally, cause “double low phenomenon” the occurrence ─ is the fertility rate and the mortality rate reduces, enable the society to tend to year by year “aging society”. In addition, Because the old age population increases progressively year by year, also the housing behavior is in the daily life an essential link, therefore the senior citizen lives the question to urgently await to be solved. This research discussion following four topics, First, the past research mostly only discussed the senior citizen attribute, the financial circumstance, the children counts, subjects and so on healthy situation, but has not aimed at the area (north south central eastern part) the difference to carry on the discussion influence regarding the housing arrangement? Second, studied in the past regarding the healthy resources aspect, mostly only discussed the great disease, suffer from a chronic disease and daily energy to influence the housing arrangement, but very few inquisition psychology disease to influence housing arrangement? Third, was connected the research not to regard as in the past the religious belief an important variable, but recently the people pressure index multiplied, also on the material has been unable to satisfy the mind stratification plane the demand, therefore sought the non-material stratification plane consoling, if the penetration religious belief obtained in mind satisfying, therefore this research will discuss the religious belief whether could have the influence to senior citizen's housing decision-making? This research discussed by the multinomial logistic analysis affects the senior citizen to live the arrangement factor, the research material use “in 2003 Taiwan area middle and old age body and mind social life condition long-term tracing (fifth time) investigates (above 57 years old)”. The research discovered that, lives does not favor the north area senior citizen in living alone or the housing state which lives together with the non-family member. Next, the year obtained recovers income to have the senior citizen who the house power is, favors in lives alone or the housing state which lives together with the non-family member. Furthermore, suffer from a chronic disease and the daily active convenient senior citizen favors in lives alone or the housing way which lives together with the non-family member. In addition, believes the Eastern religion senior citizen not to favor in lives alone or lives together with the non-family member. Moreover, the senior citizen by chance with has the work (i.e. to have economic capacity) also the son lives together. When senior citizen economic capacity good, then favors in lives alone or the housing state which lives together with the non-family member, but works as when children economic capacity good, the senior citizen favors the housing state which and the children live together.
