Abstract:
In diesem Beitrag wird die Rolle von Tieren in zwei intertextuell aufeinander bezogenen Erzählwerken untersucht, in denen jene den Menschen im Sinne einer satirischen Spiegelung gegenübergestellt sind. Die Parallele zur Gesellschaft (in beiden Fällen eine provinzielle Kleinstadt) bildet jeweils ein Tierkollektiv: (quakende) Frösche und (schnatternde) Gänse, auf deren Tradition in Literatur- und Kulturgeschichte zunächst kurz eingegangen wird. Sowohl in Christoph Martin Wielands Geschichte der Abderiten (1774-1780/1781) als auch in Wilhelm Raabes Die Gänse von Bützow (1866/1869) liegt der Schwerpunkt der Handlung auf dem Verhalten einer wetterwendischen und potentiell revolutionären Volksmasse, die zu den Tieren auf mehrfache Weise in Beziehung gesetzt wird.

Abstract:
ZusammenfassungÜber Schillers Krankheiten und Todesursachen gibt es eine unübersehbare Literatur. Jede Generation von Ärzten und Heilkundigen hat die Situation seit zwei Jahrhunderten auf ihre Weise und nach ihrem Stand der Wissenschaft bewertet. Die letzte ausführliche Ab-handlung stammt von dem Jenaer Internisten Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Veil anno 1936. Aus chirurgischer wurde das Thema bisher nicht be-trachtet.Schillers Briefe aus dem Jahre 1791 sagen aus, dass es wenige Tage nach einer schweren Lungenkrankheit zu einem „Bauchübel” gekom-men ist, dessen Symptome am besten einer perforierten Appendizitis und einem perityphlitischem Abszess zuordnen sind (1. Schlüsselkrankheit). Dafür spricht vor allem auch der Sektionsbefund anno 1805. Während der Rehabilitation 1791 trat 3 Monate später ein hochakutes thorakales Krankheitsbild auf, das heute als Lungenarterienembolie inter-pretiert werden muss (2. Schlüsselkrankheit). Schillers Beisetzung im Cassettengewölbe von Weimar hatte viele gesellschaftliche Kriti-ken an den Zeitgenossen aufkommen lassen. Aber bei Beachtung der geschichtlichen Zusammenhänge sieht das Bild keineswegs ungewöhnlich aus.

Abstract: This article discusses the validity of so-called knock-for-knock clauses, by which parties to offshore oil and gas or maritime contracts agree that each of them will cover its own losses regardless of who caused them. The issue of validity of such clauses and of the liability exclusions they contain is analysed in a comparative perspective between the law of their tradition of origin (common law, especially UK law) and Nordic civil law, where such agreements are also frequently used, namely in the context of oil extraction activities in the North Sea. Based on an assessment of the different criteria used to promote or dismiss knock-for-knock clauses in case law and academic literature, the article reaches the conclusion that the question of whether knock-for-knock clauses should be held valid depends on whose interests are being considered, and that further research is warranted on the efficiency of mechanisms supposed to replace the deterrence effect of tort or contractual liability. Résumé: Le présent article traite de la validité des clauses dites knock-for-knock, par lesquelles les parties à des contrats en matière de production d´énergie offshore et de droit maritime conviennent que chacune des parties supportera les dommages qu´elle subit sans tenir compte de qui les a causés. La question de la validité de telles clauses et des exclusions de responsabilité qu´elles contiennent est analysée dans une perspective de droit comparé entre le droit de leur tradition d´origine (le droit commun, plus particulièrement le droit anglais) et le droit civil nordique, dans lequel de telles clauses sont également fréquemment employées, en particulier en relation avec les activités d ´extraction pétrolière dans la Mer du Nord. Sur la base d´une discussion des différents arguments avancés en faveur ou contre les clauses knock-for-knock, l´article parvient à la conclusion que la question de leur validité peut recevoir différentes réponses en fonction des acteurs dont les intérêts sont considérés. De surcroît, des recherches approfondies concernant l’efficacité de mesures contractuelles de droit public de sécurité et de prévention des accidents sont nécessaires afin de déterminer si l’effet de dissuasion visé par la responsabilité délictuelle ou contractuelle peut être atteint par d´autres moyens. Zusammenfassung: Dieser Artikel diskutiert die Gültigkeit von sogenannten Knockfor-Knock-Klauseln, durch die Parteien zu Offshore-Öl- und Gas- oder Seeverkehrsverträgen zustimmen, dass jeder von ihnen seine eigenen Verluste abdecken wird, unabhängig davon, wer sie verursacht hat. Die Frage der Gültigkeit solcher Klauseln und die darin enthaltenen Haftungsausschlüsse wird in einer vergleichenden Perspektive zwischen dem Gesetz ihrer Herkunft (Common Law, insbesondere dem britischen Recht) und dem nordischen Zivilrecht analysiert, wobei auch solche Vereinbarungen häufig verwendet werden im Rahmen der Ölförderung in der Nordsee. Auf der Grundlage einer Einschätzung der verschiedenen Kriterien, die zur Förderung oder Entlassung von Knock-for-Knock-Klauseln in der Rechtsprechung und der akademischen Literatur verwendet werden, kommt der Artikel zu dem Schluss, dass die Frage, ob Knock-for-Knock Klauseln gültig gehalten werden sollte, davon abhängt, wessen Interessen werden berücksichtigt, und dass weitere Untersuchungen über die Effizienz von Mechanismen, die die Abschreckungseffekte der unerlaubten Handlung oder der vertraglichen Haftung ersetzen sollen, gerechtfertigt sind.

Nowadays, there are many well proved, effective processes to solve planning tasks in the field of material handling used advanced calculations forms and software. Unfortunately, most of them are used for individual tasks, so the applicability of their results is limited. The Institute of Logistics of the University of Miskolc has been working on integrated planning of handling machines for decades, where the individual planning tasks have to be solved together in a complex process. The main aim of this paper to give an overview about the state of the art of the planning of material handling, based on a literature review of the Science Direct publication database. As a result of this research we can determine some new direction for the planning of material handling.

Introduction: Prevalence of mental health problems including detainees in prison are very high. Handling mental health problems is closely related to the ability of resilience in a person. Limited study review resilience, factors influencing it and instruments used in detainee. This study aims to describe the resilience of detainees, instruments to measure it, and factors influencing the resilience of detainees.Methods: The research method used was literature review. Literature search was carried out using search keywords resilience, detainee, prison. The database used is SCOPUS, EBSCOHost, Garuda, Science Direct, ProQuest. Articles inclusion criteria are full-text articles from 2010-2020, published in English and Indonesian, and discussing resilience to detainees. Articles were identified using flow diagrams. Data were analysed using synthesis matrices.Results: The results of search that has been conducted stating that the instruments used to identify resilience levels consisted of the Connor and Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), the resilience quotient compiled by Reivich and Shatte, the Resilience Measurement Scale (RMS-25), the Adolescent Resilience Attitudes Scale (ARAS), and the Norwegian adaptation of Dispositional Resilience scale (DRS-15-R). The average level of resilience of detainees is in the medium category. Resilience is influenced by age, ethnicity, family relationships, social relationships, self-acceptance, protective factors (pro-social) and (pro-future). Detainees are prone to mental health problems, because they have moderate levels of resilience.Suggestion: Nursing services need to pay attention to the level of resilience of detainees.

Background: Musculoskeletal injuries, notably lower back injuries, are major occupational health problems among nurses. These injuries occur mainly due to incorrect use of body mechanics upon handling, lifting, and transfer of patients. It is the leading cause of occupational disability and is associated with increased healthcare costs. Reducing these injuries can lead to a significant reduction in healthcare costs.Purpose: This integrative literature review aims to examine the impacts of manual handling and lifting devices on the risk of back pain among hospital nurses.Methods: This study uses an integrative literature review design. Proquest, Science Direct, MEDLINE, and CINAHL were searched comprehensively. A Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) flow diagram was used to check the number of publications that were identified and screened for eligibility, and the number of publications excluded and reasons for exclusion. The Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) and the Centre for Evidence-Based Management critical appraisal checklist for a cross-sectional study (CEBM) were used to appraise the quality of selected articles.Results: Fifteen studies were found to highlight the importance of manual handling training programs and the consistent use of lifting devices in the prevention of low back pain. Ergonomics training, proper body mechanics and posture, use of body slings, workplace characteristics, availability of equipments and complexity of work, lost work days including nurses’ knowledge, experience, attitude and compliance are essential factors that impacts back pain.Conclusion: Manual handling training programs and the use of patient lifting equipment are effective in preventing lower back pain among nurses.

Abstract:
In this dissertation literature discussions which include students of Vehicle Engineering at a Swedish upper secondary school will be discussed. The students are all boys. The study is focused on these boys’ small-group literature discussions, and the aim of the study is to describe what happens when they discuss four of the novels that form an integral part in the context of their Swedish studies. Principal fields of interest are the readings and the reception that the boys give utterance to in the literature discussions, as well as the identity-constructing processes which set in when they interact in the light of what they have read. The empirical material consists of eleven video recorded small-group discussions, and a conversational analytic perspective is combined with a reception theory perspective in the dissertation. The study shows that a sense of community is vital to the core of the boys’ literature discussions, and this has an influence on the reception and the readings that come up in the discussions. The boys are anxious to come to an agreement and voices which threaten to shatter the sense of community that has been constructed in the discussions are opposed in different ways. The literature discussions are not only arenas where the boys construct themselves as readers but are also considered as a forum where various identity-constructing practices take place. As readers these boys are bound to what can be read, and what cannot be read, in literary texts, but it is possible to see a certain development in their readings towards a more complex attitude, such as they find expression in the discussions. The boys also carry out the literature discussions, and the constructed sense of community is based on the reading of the novel to be discussed in a small-group discussion. Thus the boys take on the responsibility for their own learning as well. Many of the processes in which the boys are involved during the literature discussions could be described as processes of social reproduction, but various dividing lines which could be identified in the study also show that there are openings for other directions of the discussions.

Climate change presents us with greater and greater challenges and stormwater is an important part of our future water problems. In some parts of the world the increase and intensification in precipitation causes strain on existing infrastructure while, in others, draughts are becoming more and more severe. Handling stormwater sustainably does not only gain the environment by controlling pollutant spreading, helping with flooding control and water reuse but can also have added values in urban areas if included in urban planning. Implementing green infrastructure and sustainable stormwater solutions creates jobs and are in many countries seen as the future way of handling stormwater. There are many different techniques and ways of adopting sustainable stormwater handling depending on the local problem and physical as well as economic conditions. Together they all have in common of creating added values when implemented. Increased biodiversity, improved air quality, reduced noise, improved growing conditions for urban trees and aesthetical values that have a positive effect on human health are just some of the positive added values of sustainable stormwater handling. The case study in this report concerns a new development on a peninsula in the municipality on Nacka, Stockholm. The recommendation is to adopt the approach of many small solutions that combines to a sustainable way of handling stormwater that not only solves the problem but creates added values in the living and working area. Stormwater is a resource that should be used as one in order to have sustainable urban planning.

Traditionellt sett har poesin varit talad, inte skriven, något som framförts på scen framför en publik. Den politiska användningen av estradpoesi är inget nytt påfund. Brukspoesi och tillfällespoesi i flera olika former har använts för att övertyga eller övertala publiken om olika samhällspolitiska frågor. Det retoriska talet har fått mycket uppmärksamhet för sin starka relation till politik, men hur fungerar det när talet är poesi? Denna uppsats vill fördjupa förståelsen av poesi som framförs på scen och hur den fungerar som en politisk handling. Detta görs genom att undersöka en specifik poesigenre: Poetry slam. Poetry slam är en tävling i estradpoesi som under de senaste trettio åren växt fram världen över, och många utnyttjar sin tid framför micken till att ta upp politiska åsikter eller personliga berättelser med en politisk agenda. Uppsatsen undersöker hur åtta olika poeter som tävlade i SM i Poetry slam 2019 använder sig av Poetry slam som en politisk plattform. Den undersöker på vilket sätt dikterna tar upp aktuella samhällspolitiska frågor, hur dessa frågor gestaltas samt hur olika strategiska manövreringar väcker identifikation hos publiken. Då dikterna måste vara skrivna av poeterna själva, men inte måste vara baserade på egna erfarenheter, blir det tydligt att poeterna genom dikterna konstruerar en identitet. Uppsatsen undersöker därför även hur detta används som ett medel för att övertyga eller övertala.

En jämförande analys av Hjalmar Söderbergs Doktor Glas och Edgar Allan Poes "Det skvallrande hjärtat", ur ett psykoanalytiskt och strukturalistiskt perspektiv. Båda verken utgår ifrån en huvudkaraktär och ett mord som de begår. Jag har valt att, utifrån ett strukturalistiskt perspektiv, försöka tillämpa detektivstrukturen och se hur författarna förhåller sig till den. Jämför även huvudkaraktärernas beteende före, under och efter morden ur ett psykoanalytiskt perspektiv för att kolla på skillnader och likheter.

Denna uppsats syftar till att synliggöra och diskutera hur klimatförändringar beskrivs i läromedel ämnade för grundskolan i ämnet geografi. Studiens teoretiska och metodologiska utgångspunkt är systemisk-funktionell grammatik, med fokus på den ideationella grammatiken. Det analyserade materialet utgörs av tre läromedelstexter, avsedda för årskurserna 4-6, 7 och 8. Genom en transitivitetsanalys visar studien att mänskliga förstadeltagare sällan förekommer i materialet. En analys av texternas ergativitet visar att förhållandevis få satser är ergativa, vilket innebär att majoriteten av processerna beskrivs som händelser, snarare än handlingar. Resultatet av ergativitetsanalysen visar vidare att agenter realiseras genom nominaliseringar eller andra abstrakta fenomen. Människans roll i klimatförändringar sätts således i periferin.

Abstract:
During and after the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome crisis in 2015, the South Korean Government faced a lot of criticism for the epidemic prevention management. The crisis had a duration of four months before it was declared over, leading to an accumulation of criticism towards the security system, disease management and hospital policies. The study analysed how editorials used emotive language to criticise the government, health authorities and the Korea Centers of Disease Control and Prevention during the first two weeks of the crisis, from 20th of May to 2nd of June. The content analysis revealed that the newspapers’ political affiliation was not unambiguous. Chosôn Ilbo which is generally considered right-wing and “government-friendly” had similar opinions and used similar words as Han’gyôre in their editorials when criticising the authorities. Han’gyôre on the other hand, which is generally considered left-wing, turned out not to be critical without reason, and even choose to overlook politics to assure the readers that this was more important than politics. This study achieves to surpass previous research by not categorising the newspapers’ political beliefs beforehand but by examining the grey area between a “left-wing” and “right-wing” newspaper. This study hopes to encourage those who study media studies to combine qualitative and quantitative research strategies for a more nuanced, captivating result.<br>Under och efter Mellanöstern respiratoriskt syndrom-krisen år 2015, möttes den Sydkoreanska regeringen av mycket kritik för hanteringen av epidemiförebyggande åtgärder. Krisen varade i fyra månader innan man förklarade den som över, vilket ledde till ansamling av kritik gentemot säkerhetssystemet, sjukdomshantering och sjukvårdens handlingsprogram. Den här studien analyserar hur ledarna använder sig av värdeladdat språk för att ge kritik mot regeringen, hälsovårdsmyndigheterna och Korean Disease Control and Prevention under krisens två första veckor, från den 20:e maj till och med 2:a juni. En kontextanalys visade att tidningarnas politiska anknytning inte var helt tydlig. Chosôn Ilbo som generellt sett betraktas som en högerorienterad tidning och ”regeringsvänlig” framförde liknande åsikter och liknande ord som Han’gyôre i sina ledarsidor i sin kritik mot myndigheterna. Han’gyôre däremot, som generellt betraktas som en vänsterorienterad tidning, visade sig vara kritiska när det fanns skäl för det och de valde till och med att bortse ifrån politiska anknytningar för att försäkra sina läsare om att krisen var viktigare än politik. Studien överträffade tidigare studiers resultat genom att avstå från att kategorisera tidningarnas politiska åsikter på förhand och istället undersöka gråzonen mellan en vänster- och en högerorienterad tidning. Studien hoppas uppmuntra framtida forskning inom mediastudier att kombinera kvalitativa och kvantitativa studietekniker för ett mer nyanserat och fängslande resultat.

Abstract:
There is a growing global recognition as to the importance of outlawing malicious computer related acts in a timely manner, yet few organisations have the legal and technical resources necessary to address the complexities of adapting criminal statutes to cyberspace. Literature reviewed in this study suggests that a coordinated, public-private partnership to produce a model approach can help reduce potential dangers arising from the inadvertent creation of cybercrime havens. It is against this backdrop that the study seeks to develop a digital forensic readiness model (DFRM) using a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach, involving both the public and private sectors, thus enabling organisations to reduce potential dangers arising from the inadvertent destruction and negating of evidentiary data which, in turn, results in the non-prosecution of digital crimes. The thesis makes use of 10 hypotheses to address the five research objectives, which are aimed at investigating the problem statement. This study constitutes qualitative research and adopts the post-modernist approach. The study begins by investigating each of the 10 hypotheses, utilising a systematic literature review and interviews, followed by a triangulation of findings in order to identify and explore common themes and strengthen grounded theory results. The output from the latter process is used as a theoretical foundation towards the development of a DFRM model which is then validated and verified against actual case law. Findings show that a multidisciplinary approach to digital forensic readiness can aid in preserving the integrity of evidentiary data within an organisation. The study identifies three key domains and their critical components. The research then demonstrates how the interdependencies between the domains and their respective components can enable organisations to identify and manage vulnerabilities which may contribute to the inadvertent destruction and negating of evidentiary data. The Multidisciplinary Digital Forensic Readiness Model (M-DiFoRe) provides a proactive approach to creating and improving organizational digital forensic readiness. This study contributes to the greater body of knowledge in digital forensics in that it reduces complexities associated with achieving digital forensic readiness and streamlines the handling of digital evidence within an organisation.<br>Information Science<br>Ph.D. (Information Systems)

AbstractThis chapter engages the policy practices of the South African state in handling refugees and asylum seekers. The primary focus is on the articulation of migration policy concerning refugees and asylum seekers into physical infrastructure and the lived experiences of refugees in the urban context of Johannesburg. The research considers the decisionmaking timeline involved in developing the policy landscape and resulting migration infrastructure (or lack thereof) for refugees and asylum seekers. We explore policy as hard and soft infrastructure and note that, the refugee and asylum seeker policies in South Africa have at times been shaped to align to migration patterns retrospectively but in recent years - have taken a more restrictive position towards mobility more generally. In engaging these issues, the research draws on the existing literature and insights from key informant interviews with representatives of refugee protection NGOs, the City of Johannesburg migration unit and academic researchers.

We critically examine and point out weaknesses of the existing considerations in Boolean matrix factorization (BMF) regarding noise and the algorithms' ability to deal with noise. We argue that the current understanding is underdeveloped and that the current approaches are missing an important aspect. We provide a new, quantitative way to assess the ability of an algorithm to handle noise. Our approach is based on a common-sense definition of robustness requiring that the computed factorizations should not be affected much by varying the noise in data. We present an experimental evaluation of several existing algorithms and compare the results to the observations available in the literature. In addition to providing justification of some properties claimed in the literature without proper justification, our experiments reveal properties which were not reported as well as properties which counter certain claims made in the literature. Importantly, our approach reveals a line separating robust-to-noise from sensitive-to-noise algorithms, which has not been revealed by the previous approaches.

Solid handling pumps are used in Sewage applications, Slurry transportation, transportation of floating solids etc. Many manufacturers supply such solid handling pumps for different applications. Few of the manufactures have test facility to study the impact of solid particles on overall performance of pump. It is then possible to experimentally bring out effect of solid size, its concentration etc. on overall performance. The literature is available for several such tests conducted by pump manufacturers. In absence of experimental test facility for solid handling pumps, a numerical approach was proposed to investigate the effect of solid particles on the pump performance. Commercially available CFD tool was used to carry out numerical experiments. A standard pump in production was chosen as a test case. It was ensured that experimental test results of similar size pump are available in literature. The work presented here is the extension of the work done by Gupta Amit for a solid handling impeller [8]. The similar impeller assembled with casing for solid handling pump was analyzed first to compute the performance of whole pump with clear water. This was compared with test results available from factory tests conducted experimentally with clear water. The same geometry was then analyzed using particle tracking drag models available in the software given the new boundary conditions of solid additions. Results from the numerical experiments, including effect of particle size, their concentrations etc were brought out. The particle trajectory from impeller entry to exit of casing gave idea as how particles travel in solid handing pumps. The computational results were compared with the ones presented in the Pump Handbook by Karassik. The software results were useful in getting additional information on loss in impeller and casing separately. This gives a clue to as which component needs improvement. The paper describes the approach used in numerical experiments and the results thereof.

Population growth, increasing prosperity and changing consumer habits globally are increasing demand for consumer electronics. Further to this, rapid changes in technology, falling prices, increased affordability and consumer appetite for new products have exacerbated e-waste management challenges and seen millions of tons of electronic devices become obsolete. This rapid literature review collates evidence from academic, policy focussed and grey literature on the technical aspects e-waste value chains. The report should be read in conjunction with two earlier reports on e-waste management1. E-waste is any electrical or electronic equipment, including all components, subassemblies and consumables, which are part of the equipment at the time the equipment becomes waste. The exact treatment of Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) can vary enormously according to the category of WEEE and technology that is used. Electrical and electronic items contain a wide variety of materials. As a result of this complex mix of product types and materials, some of which are hazardous (including arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury and certain flame retardants) multiple approaches to WEEE are required, each with specific technical guidelines. This report is structured as follows: Section two provides an introduction to the technical aspects of e-waste management, including a reflection on the challenges and complexities of managing a range of product types involving a range of components and pollutants. Section three provides an annotated bibliography of key readings that discuss elements of the technical aspects of managing e-waste. This bibliography includes readings on national guidelines, training manuals and technical notes produced by the Basel convention and courses. WEEE recycling can be a complex and multifaced process. In order to manage e-waste effectively, the following must be in place Legislative and regulatory frameworks Waste Prevention and minimisation guidelines Identification of waste mechanisms Sampling, analysis and monitoring expertise Handling, collection, packaging, labelling, transportation and storage guidelines Environmentally sound disposal guidelines Management is further complicated by the speed of technological advance with technologies becoming redundant much sooner than initially planned. Case studies show that the average actual lifetimes of certain electronic products are at least 2.3 years shorter than either their designed or desired lifetimes.
