Abstract:
Central motifs and episodes form interesting and significant links between Aksel Sandemose’s novel Det svundne er en drøm, published in 1946, and Martin A. Hansen’s novel from 1950, Løgneren. The motifs of truth versus lie, and the intermingling of the two, and of the split subject, manifest themselves in the protagonists who share a common first name, Johannes. The texts are an attempt to write diaries that transcend the borderline between past and present, fiction and reality, truth and lying. The diary form, composed in the first person as an alternative to the novel form proper, is viewed by both protagonists as an experiment that questions the ability of language to portray reality accurately and truthfully. Furthermore, the diaries break with chronology in order to come to terms with a darkness within, an essentially unknown, demonic territory that prevents knowledge and truth from emerging. Central episodes in the two diaries are practically identical, e.g. the drowning accident that takes place in both texts, the absence of the ‘I’ of the diary from home, and the sense of alienation from home. Additionally, significant symbols recur in both texts, e.g. a necklace and migratory birds. The protagonists’ relationships to women are all but identical and involve an examination of the past and of guilt that becomes a potential key to resolving what constitutes guilt, conscience, home and exile. The two texts form an intertext and there is compelling evidence pointing to Sandemose’s diary having profoundly influenced Hansen’s narrative.

Abstract:
One of the last performances Vertical City (Bruce Barton and Pil Hansen) created before moving from Toronto to Calgary was Trace, which premiered at the 2014 SummerWorks festival. Crafted in a compact and intense development process with close collaborators Michelle Polak and Martin Julien, Trace marked a subtle but defining moment in our artistic trajectory. Engaging participants in ways unconceivable in our present pandemic world, it was one of our most illuminating explorations of the potential for/in deeply intimate personal exchange between performers and audience members. Trace was built on, with, and through a process of spontaneous collective reminiscence-one perhaps only conceivable within SummerWorks’ combination of careful curatorial oversight and empowering artist autonomy. Adopting similar structural and aesthetic principles, this impressionistic three-way meandering reflects back on that experience. In the process, it renders a fittingly fragmented but deeply felt ode to SummerWorks’ distinctive blend of intention, intelligence, and opportunity.

Abstract:

Abstract:
AbstractA sequence of finite-dimensional quotients of affine Hecke algebras is studied. Each element of the sequence is constructed so as to have a weight space labelling scheme for Specht⁄standard modules. As in the weight space formalism of algebraic Lie theory, there is an action of an affine reflection group on this weight space that fixes the set of labelling weights. A linkage principle is proved in each case. Further, it is shown that the simplest non-trivial example may essentially be identified with the blob algebra (a physically motivated quasihereditary algebra whose representation theory is very well understood by Lie-theory-like methods). An extended role is hence proposed for Soergel's tilting algorithm, away from its algebraic Lie theory underpinning, in determining the simple content of standard modules for these algebras. This role is explicitly verified in the blob algebra case. A tensor space representation of the blob algebra is constructed, as a candidate for a full tilting module (subsequently proven to be so in a paper by Martin and Ryom-Hansen), further evidencing the extended utility of Lie-theoretic methods. Possible generalisations of this representation to other elements of the sequence are discussed.

Abstract:
The Ethical Reader: K. E. Løgstrup and the Ethical Turn in Literary Theory:Literary studies have on an international level witnessed a turn to ethics in the past fifteen years, but in Denmark the ethical turn in literary theory was anticipated in the 1960s by K. E. Løgstrup, theologian and philosopher. Løgstrup worked in the tradition of phenomenology (Martin Heidegger and Hans Lipps) and explored the fundamental structures of everyday life. His basic claim was that interhuman phenomena such as trust and compassion are of an inherent and spontaneous ethical nature. Løgstrup regarded literature as a reservoir of highly elaborated case studies of human and ethical life. According to him literature could capture human experience in a concrete manner that was not possible for the conceptual systems of philosophy. In this article Gunder Hansen summarizes Løgstrup’s position and compares it to some of the recent American studies in ethics and literary theory by James Phelan, Robert Pippin and Dorothy Hale. And he finds a great amount of compatibility between Løgstrup and the recent ethical turn.Løgstrup furthermore developed his own theory of the reader’s emotional and existential response to the moral education presented in literature. He finds that the emotional involvement of the reader does not have an illusionary or »parasitic« nature. On the contrary, in reading we demonstrate the ethical response that would be the natural reaction to certain events in real life. However in real life we often fail to react as we should due to selfishness and pragmatic constraints. The reader’s response is, however not only spontaneous but also contains a process of reflection and general evaluation due to the exemplary artistic presentation of events in the fictional world. At the end of the article Gunder Hansen distinguishes between two paradigms in the ethical turn, one of existentialism and one of »political correctness«. He regards the latter as problematic as it posits the reader so situated in gender, culture, minority etc. that he cannot experience self-transgression in literature but only confirmation or insult according to his norms and values.

Abstract:
Jesper Düring Jørgensen: The role of Gustav Meissner in the so-called New Year crisis The article looks at the role of the German press attaché Gustav Meissner (1910–1995) during the so-called New Year crisis, which unfolded between the German occupying administration and the Danish government from December 1940 to the end of January 1941. The crisis started in autumn 1940 as a reaction to the unsuccessful monetary and customs union negotiations between Germany and Denmark, and as a result of the Danish Nazi party’s failed propaganda offensive. Another factor that contributed to exacerbating the crisis around Christmas 1940 was a protracted attack on Prime Minister Thorvald Stauning, with the intention of removing him from his post as prime minister of Denmark. In addition, conflicts of interest and expectations regarding the occupation of Denmark existed both at the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt) and at the German Embassy in Copenhagen. In Copenhagen, the German ambassador Cecil von Renth-Fink tried to implement a pragmatic policy towards the Danish Government to ensure the greatest possible peace and order in the country for the safety of the German troops, and to safeguard the Danish agricultural and industrial exports to Germany, but in Berlin this policy was subtly opposed by the powerful Under Secretary Martin Luther and by his henchman at the embassy in Copenhagen, Gustav Meissner, who, partly behind Renthe-Fink’s back but with the assistance of Louis von Kohl, initiated several intrigues to topple the prime minister in Copenhagen. However, the demands to replace Stauning met with widespread opposition from the Danish government and the trade unions, and the crisis petered out. Stauning remained at his post, but party leader Hans Hedtoft and H. C. Hansen were forced out of office by the Germans.

Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland Bulletin 12, 77 pp. + 5 plates. As a result of a lithological, sedimentological and biostratigraphic study of well sections from the Danish sector of the North Sea, including some recently drilled exploration wells on the Ringkøbing–Fyn High, the lithostratigraphic framework for the siliciclastic Palaeogene to Lower Neogene sediments of the Danish sector of the North Sea is revised. The sediment package from the top of the Chalk Group to the base of the Nordland Group is subdivided into seven formations containing eleven new members. The existing Våle, Lista, Sele, Fur, Balder, Horda and Lark Formations of previously published lithostratigraphic schemes are adequate for a subdivision of the Danish sector at formation level. Bor is a new sandstone member of the Våle Formation. The Lista Formation is subdivided into three new mudstone members: Vile, Ve and Bue, and three new sandstone members: Tyr, Idun and Rind. Kolga is a new sandstone member of the Sele Formation. Hefring is a new sandstone member of the Horda Formation. Freja and Dufa are two new sandstone members of the Lark Formation. Danish reference sections are established for the formations, and the descriptions of their lithology, biostratigraphy, age and palaeoenvironmental setting are updated. Abstract:
Grundtvigs forfatterskab i dansk litteraturhistorieskrivning[Grundtvig’s works in Danish historiography]By Per DahlThe essay discusses the most important Danish literary histories written between 1881 and 2008 and their representation of the writings of N. F. S. Grundtvig (1783-1872). In 1881 Frederik Winkel Horn wrote the first updated history of Danish literature including the 19th century. The extensive chapter on Grundtvig deals with his conception of Nordic and Christian education and culture. From an aesthetic point of view, says Horn, Grundtvig’s poetry does not meet academic criteria. Nevertheless his best poems and prose writings are profoundly thrilling by virtue of strength of mind and poignancy. Five years later an evaluation by Peter Hansen was more reserved, but he appreciated Grundtvig’s hymns. Vilhelm Andersen’s chapter on Grundtvig in Illustreret Dansk Litteraturhistorie (1924) is evaluated as the most complex study in Grundtvig and his collected writings. This lengthy chapter (of some 75 pages) expresses an exclusively literary point of view. The structural unity of Grundtvig’s works, says Andersen, is based on the basic dichotomy between life and death and Grundtvig’s inner experience, resulting in a decisive turning point where he sees life bom out of darkness. To Andersen the most important texts are the long poem Nyaars-Morgen (The Morning of New Year’s Day) and the hymn De Levendes Land (The Land o f the Living), both written in 1824 - a climax and a turning point in Grundtvig’s poetry. Up to 1824 Andersen’s biographical approach and view of the phases and motives for Grundtvig’s writings are in accordance with his inner development. The period after 1824 is evaluated as a phase of realization of his ideas. Andersen’s exposition in Illustreret Dansk Litteraturhistorie inaugurated a process of canonization of the above-mentioned texts. In 1958 F. J. Billeskov Jansen (Danmarks Digtekunst) stiffened the literary demands in keeping with his comparative point of view. Martin Zerlang’s chapter on Grundtvig in Dansk litteraturhistorie (vol. 5, 1984) as well as Johnny Kondrup’s chapter in Hovedsporet. Dansk litteraturs historie (2005) and Sune Auken’s in Dansk litteraturs historie (vol. 2, 2008) confirm the canonical status of Nyaars-Morgen. Finally the essay discusses problems concerning canonization and representation of works when writing literary history.

Abstract:
Gravel, V., Dorais, M., Dey, D. and Vandenberg, G. 2015. Fish effluents promote root growth and suppress fungal diseases in tomato transplants. Can. J. Plant Sci. 95: 427–436. Aquaculture systems generate large amounts of wastes which may constitute a beneficial amendment for horticultural crop in terms of nutrients, plant growth promoter and disease suppressiveness. This study aimed to determine (1) the nutrient value of rainbow trout farming effluents coming from two feed regimes and (2) the plant growth and disease suppressiveness effects of those fish farming effluents on tomato transplants. The effluent sludge from Skretting Orient™ (SO) had a higher content of P (38 vs. 32 mg L−1), K (23 vs. 11 mg L−1), N (19 vs. to 11 mg NO3 L−1; 186 vs. 123 mg NH4 L−1), and a higher NO3:NH4 ratio (1:9 vs. 1:13) compared with the Martin Classic (MC), while MC was richer in Mg (42 vs. 24 mg L−1) and Ca (217 vs. 169 mg L−1). For the first trial, a stimulating effect of the fish effluent was observed on plant height, leaf area and root dry biomass, while only the root biomass was increased during the second trial. Fish sludge was rich in microorganisms (97 and 142 µg fluorescein h−1 mL−1 for SO and MC, respectively) and their ability to suppress Pythium ultimum Trow and Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici (Sacc.) Snyder & Hansen was observed. Both crude fish effluents reduced in vitro mycelial growth of P. ultimum and F. oxysporum, by 100 and 32%, respectively, while MC effluents showed a higher inhibition against F. oxysporum. When fish effluents were sterilized by filtration or autoclaving, lower in vitro inhibition of P. ultimum and F. oxysporum was observed. Mixed fish effluents reduced tomato plant root colonization by P. ultimum (by up to 5.7-fold) and F. oxysporum (by up to 2.1-fold). These results showed that fish effluent can be used as soil amendments to promote plant growth and increase soil suppressiveness, which in turn can prevent soil-borne diseases.

Ten species of Haploniscidae Hansen, 1916 were sampled in Icelandic waters during expeditions in the framework of the BIOICE project. Nine of these were known from the North Atlantic Ocean, i.e. Haploniscus aduncus Lincoln, 1985, H. ampliatus Lincoln, 1985, Haploniscus angustus Lincoln, 1985, H. bicuspis (Sars, 1877), H. foresti Chardy, 1974, H. hamatus Lincoln, 1985, H. spinifer Hansen, 1916, Antennuloniscus simplex Lincoln, 1985 and Chauliodoniscus armadilloides (Hansen, 1916). All but H. bicuspis and H. angustus were restricted to the Atlantic Ocean south of the Greenland-Iceland-Faeroe Ridge (GIF Ridge), while H. bicuspis occurred at considerable depth ranges both north and south of the GIF Ridge. A new species, Haploniscus astraphes n. sp., is described based on material from the Denmark Strait, North Atlantic and the Guinea Basin, South Atlantic. H. astraphes n. sp. belongs to a group of Haploniscus species closely related to the genus Antennuloniscus and shares several characters with species from that genus, especially the spine row on pleopod 1, the stout sensory seta on the carpus of pereopod 7 and characters of the antennae. H. astraphes n. sp. is characterized by a rectangular body shape, the straight frontal margin of the head and the strongly convex posterior margin of the pleotelson.

Abstract:
AbstractThe Hanson Formation, Antarctica, consists of interbedded sandstones and tuffaceous rocks of Early Jurassic age. The sandstones, pebbly to medium-grained, range between quartzo-feldspathic and volcaniclastic, with some of the former being coarse-grained arkoses that imply proximal sources. Geochronology of detrital zircons provides evidence for source rock ages, whereas sandstone petrology demonstrates a mixed provenance. Tuffaceous strata are reworked fine to very fine-grained tuffs resulting from distal Plinian eruptions. Dated tuffs provide time constraints on the duration of volcanism. The sandstones and tuffs accumulated in a rift environment. Geochemically the tuffs are rhyolitic in composition, and the Sr and Nd isotope data together with the patterns on multi-element diagrams suggest they were derived from a volcanic arc, which is interpreted to have been located along the West Antarctic Gondwana margin. The silicic volcanism extends the distribution and timing of magmatism in the Early Jurassic along that margin. The Early Jurassic extensional regime was delimited by the plate margin region and the East Antarctic craton. The rift valley system along the East Antarctic craton margin, in which the Hanson strata accumulated, was the focus for subsequent emplacement of the intrusive and extrusive rocks of the Lower Jurassic Ferrar Large Igneous Province. The Early Jurassic extensional rifts may have been reactivated during Cretaceous–Cenozoic development of the West Antarctic Rift System.

Abstract:
Hanaan, an Uzbek and Korean co-production, is the debut film of a young Central Asian Korean director, Ruslan Pak, who wrote the script and directed its production. Pak is a fourth-generation descendant of Korean diaspora forcibly relocated by Stalin in 1937 to populate the Soviet Central Asian republics. In Hanaan, Pak portrays how the post-Soviet generation of Korean diaspora is coping with life in post-Soviet Uzbekistan that has built ethnic-based national identity since Independence. As the film shows, it is not easy for the protagonist Stas and his Korean friends to find their places in their imposed homeland. It is therefore not so surprising that they face many conflicts and challenges that reveal not only social problems in Uzbekistan, including drug issues and ethnic minority problems, but also difficulties in self-identification. Searching for an identity “at a margin” and “as a marginalized” is one of the central themes of this film. In this case which follows Stas’s (as well as the director’s) desperate journey to Hanaan or “the Land of Promise,” I will explore the present situation of the Korean diaspora in Uzbekistan and engage with the messages that the director attempts to convey through this film.

Abstract:
A glaciological field programme was carried out from 24 July to 21 August 1988 on the Greenland ice-sheet margin at Pakitsoq, north-east of Ilulissat/Jakobshavn, West Greenland. Glaciological investigations for planning hydropower at Pakitsoq have been made by GGU since 1982. The investigations include six years of mass-balance measurements, repeated photogrammetric and satellite mapping, ice-thickness mapping by radio-echo sounding, stable-isotope studies, hot-water-jet drillings and measurements of ice velocity and englacial temperatures (Thomsen, 1986, 1988; Thorning & Hansen, 1987; Olesen & Clausen, 1988). Simulations of runoff, glacier dynamics and glacier hydraulics are also carried out (Reeh, 1983; Thomsen et al., 1988). The aim of the 1988 field programme was to extend and confirm assumptions in the previous work.

Abstract:
The EMR surveys of previous years (Thorning et al., 1986; Thorning & Hansen, 1987) provided the ice-thickness data necessary for a detailed evaluation of the glaciological-hydrological conditions of the Inland Ice required for planning a hydropower plant at Pâkitsoq (Thomsen et al., 1986). This evaluation also identified some locations where ambiguity in the hydrological interpretation resulted in uncertainties in the estimate of water supply to the Pâkitsoq basin, because the data available did not allow the model to predict the direction of drainage of meltwater. Therefore, further geophysical work was undertaken to provide more detailed information on the subglacial relief of these localities on the ice.

Two new species of the genus Pseudomesus Hansen, 1916 (Isopoda, Asellota) are described from the Southern hemisphere: Pseudomesus pitombo sp. nov. and Pseudomesus satanus sp. nov. Specimens of the new species were collected during DIVA-1 (DIVersity of the abyssal Atlantic Ocean) in the deep Angola Basin (P. pitombo) and a cruise to the Australian continental slope (P. satanus), respectively. They differ from the remaining species of this genus by the presence of a mandibular palp. P. pitombo can be distinguished from P. satanus by the shape of the anterior margin of the cephalothorax of the female, in the number of articles of the antenna, and the length of the maxilliped´s exopodite.

Based on benthic material collected during the BIOPEARL (Biodiversity, Phylogeny, Evolution and Adaptive Radiation of Life in Antarctica) II expedition on board RRS “James Clark Ross” a new nannoniscid species,Regabellator brixorumsp. n., is described from the Pine Island Bay continental shelf, western Amundsen Sea (Antarctica). The new species most closely resemblesRegabellator armatus(Hansen, 1916) but can be distinguished from this species by possessing ventral spines on pereonites 1-4, the shape of the cephalothorax anterior margin and the length of the pereonite 7 ventral spine. The genusRegabellatorhas been previously recorded from the North and South-eastern Atlantic and here exclusively from the deep sea (1946 m and below). The new species represents the first record of the genusRegabellatorfrom the Antarctic continental shelf and thus greatly extends hitherto known latitudinal and bathymetric ranges for this genus.

Abstract:
An aggregated model to estimate mean denudation rates of tropical mountain basins with limited data is presented, which is calibrated for Antioquia (Colombia); based on the transport equation of Engelund-Hansen. Two complementary approaches are purposed: (1) alluvial river reach model, dependent on discharge, slope and hydraulic geometry and (2) hillslope model dependent on discharge minus base flow, slope, drainage density and flow convergence degree. Both models are closed with a regression for the Shields parameter, depending on sediment yield (t/km2/yr) and an erodibility factor, which is considered robust due to the diversity of scale, morphology and weather of the 23 basins analyzed. Both model approaches predicts inside a +/- 50% margin of error the sediment yields of 70% of the basins, those with less peculiarities; correcting it with a bed load portion, additional to the suspended transport measured, analytically estimated and proved with field data.

Abstract:
Three new species of Tridentella Richardson, 1905 are described from the New Caledonia region. All three species are smooth bodied or largely smooth bodied, and all were collected from the shelf around New Caledonia at depths from 150–760 metres. Tridentella palmata sp. nov. is characterised by pereopod 4 having numerous large robust setae on the carpus and an exceptionally long dactylus (7.0 times as long as proximal width); Tridentella katlae sp. nov. is the only species in the genus with medially united eyes that fill the head in dorsal view; Tridentella magna sp. nov. is the largest species in the genus (36 mm) and can be identified by the head having an anterior submarginal ridge and three submarginal tubercles on the poster margin. Tridentella takedai Nunomura 2006 (off Arasaki, Hokusuka-Shi, Kyushu, Japan) is formally transferred to Alcirona Hansen, 1905, forming Alcirona takedai (Nunomura, 2006) comb. nov.

Abstract:
Fission track (FT) analysis is especially suited to reveal and date low temperature events. The closure temperature of apatite (100 ± 30°C) and its annealing characteristics in the interval of 70-125°C are especially relevant to the study of the maturation of hydrocarbons (Gleadow et al., 1983). FT analyses were made on Permian to Cretaceous, quartzose sandstones and arkoses from the Jameson Land basin. Both FT ages and track length distributions for apatites were obtained for samples taken along the western and eastern margin of the basin (fig. land Table 1) in order to sttidy the tectonic and thermal history of the area. The investigation takes advantage of earlier FT work in the neighbouring Caledonian mountain belt which is believed to be the source of the terrigenous material, including the apatites, which make up the sediments (Hansen, 1985). A report of further Investigations in this area is in preparation.

Abstract:
In the Asellota, sexual dimorphism is often characterized by males that show pronounced morphological differences after thefinal moult compared to females but also to sub-adult males. Such a sexual dimorphism may strongly complicate allocation ofthese terminal males to conspecifics. Consequently, we regard it to be a likely explanation for why in 50% of the described spe-cies of the family Macrostylidae Hansen, 1916, only one sex is known. Based on detailed description of two previouslyunknown species of the isopod genus Macrostylis Sars, 1864, the changes in the morphology that can occur during the finalmoult of the males are highlighted. M. dorsaetosa n. sp. is unlike any other species owing to the row of spine-like setae on theposterior margins of pereonites 5–6. M. strigosa Mezhov, 1999 shows remarkable similarity but lacks these setae. In M. papil-lata n. sp., cuticular ridges overlap posteriorly with the margin of the pereonites 1–4 and head forming a warty appearance. Thisspecies is easily identifiable and unlike any previously described macrostylid owing to the presence of the tergal articulationbetween pleonite 1 and pleotelson. Information for the identification of terminal males is provided and implications of our results for future taxonomic and systematic work on this isopod family are discussed.

Abstract:
Background:Early recognition and treatment of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) is of critical importance for the individual outcome. However, nationwide health care structures in Germany do not facilitate early access to initial rheumatologic evaluation. Furthermore, waiting times of several months due to substantial capacity constrains in regional rheumatology care services compromise the prognostically relevant “window of opportunity” for subsequent sustained remission. To promote early detection of RMDs, the Division of Rheumatology at the University hospital Heidelberg, Germany has launched a unique screening consultation model that offers early access to rheumatologic evaluation on regional level. Objectives:The registry-based study SCREENED (“Screen for early diagnosis”) has been initiated to monitor the outcome of patients that were diagnosed with an RMD at the screening clinic and to assess the costs and benefits of this consultation model for the regional quality of care. Methods:The screening consultation model has been launched in two phases: in the first phase (02/2016 - 01/2018), a screening clinic open to all patients without previous rheumatologic evaluation with appointments according to the registration order has been established through rearrangement of available capacities. In contrast to regular appointments, the screening clinic took place in shorter consultation time frames and without additional diagnostic procedures. In the second phase (02/2018 - 01/2020), in order to manage and prioritize access to rheumatologic care at our division more efficiently, prior to appointment allocation (not only) to the screening clinic all new patient registrations became subject to a preselection procedure based on the evaluation of an anamnesis questionnaire, medical reports and laboratory findings by an experienced rheumatologist. Furthermore, SCREENED project has been launched for scientific evaluation of both phases of the consultation model. Results:The screening consultation model achieved a significant reduction in waiting times to few weeks compared to six months for a regular appointment. In the first phase, the screening clinic had a high sensitivity of 94.3% and an improvable specificity of 31.1%. In the retrospective cohort, high remission rates have been observed over all RMD entities (120/206 = 58.3% patients based on physicians’ assessment in the follow-up after screening clinic) and in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in particular (38/61 = 62.3% and 33/55 = 60% patients with DAS28 score < 2,6 after 12 and 24 months respectively). Remission was usually reached within a year after the first appointment (9.5 ± 6.7 months), however, a trend to higher remission rates in patients with shorter illness duration was obvious. In RA patients, csDMARDs have been initiated in a third of patients immediately at diagnosis in the screening clinic and in another third within six months after the first appointment. After 12 months, > 80% have received csDMARDs, while only 14.2% needed b/tsDMARDs in the follow-up over 24 months. Conclusion:High sensitivity and significant reduction in waiting times for initial rheumatologic evaluation in the screening clinic pave the way for early recognition and treatment of RMDs. Subsequently, high remission rates in the follow-up were reached. In RA, a high proportion of patients only required csDMARDs to achieve sustained remission. A correspondingly small proportion of patients necessitating b/tsDMARD in the follow-up points towards a significant health economic benefit of the early rheumatologic intervention in the screening consultation model.Disclosure of Interests:Karolina Benesova Grant/research support from: Study grants for SCREENED study by Abbvie, Novartis and Rheumaliga Baden-Württemberg, Consultant of: One-time participation in Novartis advisory board., Vivienne Lion Grant/research support from: Grant/research support from: Study grants for SCREENED study by Abbvie, Novartis and Rheumaliga Baden-Württemberg, Oliver Hansen Grant/research support from: Grant/research support from: Study grants for SCREENED study by Abbvie, Novartis and Rheumaliga Baden-Württemberg, Hanns-Martin Lorenz Grant/research support from: Consultancy and/or speaker fees and/or travel reimbursements: Abbvie, MSD, BMS, Pfizer, Celgene, Medac, GSK, Roche, Chugai, Novartis, UCB, Janssen-Cilag, Astra-Zeneca, Lilly. Abstract:
Three new species of the genus Belonectes Wilson & Hessler, 1981, from the munnopsid subfamily Eurycopinae Hansen are described from the deep Weddell Sea, Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean. Belonectes grasslei sp. nov., B. stoddarti sp. nov., and B. daytoni sp. nov. are the first species of the genus described from the region: previously only two species of Belonectes were known from the northeastern Atlantic and the Peru-Chile Trench, the southeastern Pacific. The modified diagnosis of the genus Belonectes and a key to the species of the genus are presented. The pattern of the total ventral sculpture of the natasome, a medial lobe of article 4 of the maxillipedal palp which is larger than article 5 and the navicular male pleopod 1 with its deep keel are suggested to be additional important generic characters of Belonectes. The most useful characters to distinguish species of Belonectes are the size of article 1 of the antennula, the shape and size of the articles 3–5 of the maxillipedal palp, the shape of the distal margin of the male pleopod 1, the shape of distolateral part of the protopod of the male pleopod 2, the size and shape of the preanal ridge, and the size of the exopod of the uropod.

Abstract:
James D. G. Dunn (2008) dalam bukunya New Perspective on Paul, ia seorang diri merespons semua kritik yang dilontarkan lawan-lawan “New Perspective.” Jadi, perdebatan mengenai soteriologi Yudaisme BAK belum berakhir.

Abstract:
Anisomysis (Javanisomysis) gutzui Băcescu, 1992 was reported as a characteristic species, of which the fourth male pleopod possesses an un-segmented exopod and no endopod. The species is placed in the valid genus Javanisomysis on the basis of the characteristics of the fourth male pleopod; however, the definition of the genus was insufficient. In the present paper, re-examination of the genus Javanisomysis is carried out on the basis of paratypes loaned from the depository in Romania. We found that major morphological characteristics of the types are common to those of the species of the genus Anisomysis, particularly in the forms of the antennal scale, labrum, thoracopodal endopods, and fourth male pleopod. On the basis of the present results, the genus Javanisomysis is reinstated as a subgenus in the genus Anisomysis. The subgenus Javanisomysis is allied to the subgenus Anisomysis in the forms of the body, eye, antennular peduncle, and mandibular palp, but is separable in the following characteristics: carapace armed with spinules on the antero-lateral margin; in the fourth male pleopodal exopod the first segment as long as or slightly shorter than the third segment, excluding the terminal setae; and the telson with un-articulated denticles on the lateral margin. In addition, A. (J.) similis n. sp. is described on the basis of specimens collected from Phuket, Thailand. The new species can be separated from A. (J.) gutzui as follows: the fourth male pleopod without a projection at the expanded corner on the first segment, the telson distally triangular in shape, and an undivided carpopropodus of the sixth thoracopodal endopod in females. Anisomysis (A.) thurneysseni Nouvel, 1973 also shares with the new species such remarkable features as those in the spinules on the carapace, denticles on the telson, and the length of the first segment relative to the third one in the fourth male pleopodal exopod; and accordingly this species is also considered to be a member of the subgenus Javanisomysis. This subgenus thus currently contains three species, A. (J.) gutzui Băcescu, 1992, A. (J.) similis n. sp. and A. (J.) thurneysseni Nouvel, 1973.

Lithoprobe's sponsorship has led to the acquisition of paleomagnetic data from ~20 units throughout the Paleoproterozoic Trans-Hudson Orogen (THO) of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, essentially the first such data for the region. Discussed summarily in this paper, they provide an initial framework for the THO's tectonic evolution. They show that the Archean Hearne and Superior cratons were at subtropical and subpolar paleolatitudes, respectively, at ~1875 Ma, with the Lynn Lake – LaRonge arc midway between them in the Manikewan Ocean. By ~1855 Ma, this ocean was still ~5500 ± 700 km wide, and its seafloor was subducting northwestward under the Hearne craton and pericratonic Peter Lake domain margin with the coeval development of an Andean-type continental magmatic arc, the Wathaman–Chipewyan batholith. Between ~1855 and ~1810 Ma, coalescing apparent polar wander path (APWP) segments record closing of the ocean at a rate of ~12 cm/a, trapping and accreting the several separate intervening terranes (Flin Flon, Hanson Lake, Lynn Lake – LaRonge, Rottenstone, and presumably also other THO terranes). From ~1815 to ~1775 Ma, the assembled terranes drifted as a coherent craton, yielding a stillstand and hairpin in the APWP.

Abstract:
Glacial-age Lake Tight was first mapped by John F. Wolfe in 1942. Wolfe compiled his map from photographs of 50 USGS topographic maps, and used the 900-foot contour to delineate its shoreline. An estimate, as reported by Hansen in 1987, suggested an area of approximately 18,130 km2 (7,000 mi2) for the lake. Using a geographic information system (GIS) environment, an updated map of Lake Tight was developed employing the 275-meter (902-foot) elevation contour. Calculations now suggest the area of Lake Tight was 43 percent larger or approximately 26,000 km2 (10,040 mi2) and the volume approximately 1,120 km3 (268 mi3). The reconstruction of Lake Tight in a GIS creates a spatial analysis platform that can support research on the origin and development of the lake, the geologic processes that occurred as a consequence of the advance of the pre-Illinoian ice, and the origin of the Ohio River. The development of the upper Ohio Valley during the Quaternary Period remains one of the outstanding problems in North American geology. The details of the transition from the Teays River to Lake Tight, and from Lake Tight to the Ohio River, are poorly understood despite more than 100-years passing since the first significant study of those changes. A refined understanding of the area and depth of Lake Tight is essential but is complicated by fundamental unknowns—such as the location of the pre-Illinoian ice margin and the extent and consequence of isostatic flexure of the lithosphere due to ice-loading and lake-loading. Given the assumptions required for the model, the accuracy of both the raster data and the 1942 topographic maps, and the paucity of essential field data, mapping the lake shoreline at the widely cited 274.32-meter (900-foot) contour would not provide increased verifiable accuracy.

Abstract:
Leprosy (Hansen’s disease) is a chronic granulomatous infectious disease that primarily affects the peripheral nerves, skin, upper respiratory tract mucosa, eyes and certain other tissues. It is diagnosable and curable if recognized early and treated adequately. A twenty nine-year-old male from Jessore, Bangladesh reported in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, Bangladesh with the complaints of multiple erythematous, large, raised and circumscribed lesions with loss of sensations on different parts of the body, especially distal portions of all four limbs for last eight months. Subsequently he developed ulcers on the anesthetic fingers due to smoking and few ulcerative lesions on both feet. Skin examination revealed multiple erythematous, large nodular lesions on both sides of the cheek and forehead, multiple erythematous, indurated, large plaques with raised margin and central clearing on the trunk, waist and all four limbs, few satellite lesions around the large plaques on the trunk, few hypopigmented patches and plaques on buttock and lower limbs, multiple painless ulcers on dorsal surface of fingers of both hands, both lateral malleoluses and right sole. On examination of peripheral nerves, left great auricular nerve, both ulnar nerves and both common peroneal nerves were moderately enlarged and tender. Slit skin smear for AFB (modified Z-N stain) was done and revealed that there were large number of acid and alcohol-fast bacilli arranged in straight and curved parallel bundles with globular masses (cigar-bundle appearance), morphologically resembling Mycobacterium leprae. Skin biopsy for histopathological examination revealed extensive infiltration of macrophages in the dermis, separated from epidermis by narrow grenz zone, with destruction of skin adnexa. Few foci of poorly defined granuloma in dermis were also noted. The patient was managed with rifampicin, clofazimine, dapsone, prednisolone and omeprazole. Abstract:
After the year 2003, the oil / gas sector evolved and gained investment. International companies of different origins utilized heavy drilling rigs (to achieve high drilling depths) and entered our region. Meanwhile, some drilling problems were recorded, accompanied by well-pad failure cases. This research aims to study the behavior of well-pads with different geometric configurations, under the effects of drilling rigs with various characteristics, within the Basra province. Four case studies have been selected to represent four fields, namely: Siba, Zubair, West Qurna-2, and Zubair-Mishrif fields. The finite element method is utilized to conduct a stress analysis process, adopting an elastic–plastic constitutive relation for soil, based on Drucker-Prager's yield criterion. The maximum contact pressure applied on soil (under the working loads) is compared to its bearing capacity. When a rigid method is used to calculate the contact pressure, it is compared with the ultimate soil-bearing capacity, as calculated by Reddy and Srinivasan's method for cohesive soils, with allowable bearing capacity taken from the Peck, Hanson, and Thornburn's method for cohesionless soils. The contact pressure calculated via the finite element method is compared with the ultimate soil-bearing capacity calculated using the same method, based on a settlement of 50 mm. The extreme values of the bending moments and shear forces developed in the well-pad sections (under the factored loads), are compared with the section capacities calculated by using the ultimate strength design method. Regarding the geotechnical side, the results indicate insufficient safety factors against soil shear failure for some cases, especially for cohesive soil profiles. For cohesionless soil profiles, the provided safety factors are sufficient. The finite element method reveals higher contact pressures compared to the conventional rigid method. For cohesionless soil profiles, the Peck, Hanson, and Thornburn's method, gives a bigger safety margin than the finite element method. The immediate settlement values are almost tolerable. Regarding the structural side, it has been identified that a uniform section is adopted for all locations of each pad, for individual wells. In most cases, the provided reinforcing steel is less than the minimum code requirement. This leads to a violation of the section capacity of bending, at least near the cellar. The beam shear capacity is rarely violated. Using strip footings beneath the rig skids, permits utilizing a heavy section that satisfies the requirements of structural safety, without violating the economic considerations.

Abstract:
This article examines popular music listening in light of recent research in auditory perception and spatial experience, record production, and virtual reality, while considering parallel developments in digital pop music production practice. The discussion begins by considering theories of listening and embodiment by Brandon LaBelle, Eric Clarke, Salomè Voegelin and Linda Salter, examining relations between listening subjects and aural environments, conceptualising listening as a process of environmental ‘inhabiting’, and considering auditory experience as the real-time construction of ‘reality’. These ideas are discussed in relation to recent research on popular music production and perception, with a focus on matters of spatial sound design, the virtual ‘staging’ of music performances and performing bodies, digital editing methods and effects, and on shifting relations between musical spatiality, singer-persona, audio technologies, and listener. Writings on music and virtual space by Martin Knakkergaard, Allan Moore, Ragnhild Brøvig-Hanssen & Anne Danielsen, Denis Smalley, Dale Chapman, Kodwo Eshun and Holger Schulze are discussed, before being related to conceptions of VR sound and user experience by Jaron Lanier, Rolf Nordahl & Niels Nilsson, Mel Slater, Tom Garner and Frances Dyson. This critical framework informs three short aural analyses of digital pop tracks released during the last 10 years - Titanium (Guetta & Sia 2010), Ultralight Beam (West 2016) and 2099 (Charli XCX 2019) - presented in the form of autoethnographic ‘listening notes’. Through this discussion on personal popular music listening and virtual spatiality, a theory of pop listening as embodied inhabiting of simulated narrative space, or virtual story-world, with reference to ‘aural-dominant realities’ (Salter), ‘sonic possible worlds’ (Voegelin), and ‘sonic fictions’ (Eshun), is developed. By examining personal music listening in relation to VR user experience, this study proposes listening to pop music in the 21st century as a mode of immersive, embodied ‘storyliving’, or ‘storydoing’ (Allen & Tucker).

Abstract:
Leprosy, or Hansen disease, is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae which is associated with inflammation that may damage the skin and the peripheral nerves. Leprosy remains an important public health problem in Southeast Asia, America, and Africa. It has been speculated that, as with TB, HIV infection may exacerbate leprosy lesions and/or lead to increased susceptibility to leprosy. We report the case of leprosy and HIV co-infection and reveals its clinical manifestation. A 34-year-old female came to outpatient clinic complaining of rednessplaque on her face of 2-months duration. It was also accompanied with thick sensation but without itchy or burning sensation. We found thick erythematous plaque with sharp margin and hypoesthesia on her face and body. There were no madarosis, saddle nose, lagophthalmos, nor sign of neuritis. The slit-skin smear revealed BI 1+ globi and MI 2%. From laboratory examination we found CBC was within normal limit, IgM anti PGL-1 titer was 1265 u/mL and IgG anti PGL-1 was 834 u/mL Both histological examination on her ear lobe and extremity revealed that was similar to the lesion of leprosy. The detection of HIV antibody was positive with CD4 count on 325 cells/μL. We treat her with MDT for MB leprosy along with ART (Tenofovir, Lamivudine, and Efavirenz). After 6-months follow-up we observed no progression of the lesions though the slit-skin smear after completing 6 months of therapy become negative. M. leprae does not seem to accelerate the decline of immune function when associated with HIV infection. HIV infection does not seem to affect the clinical classification and progression of leprosy. Treatment of the HIV-leprosy co-infected patient consists of the combination of ARTs and anti-leprosy agents. So that, the treatment of leprosy and HIV co-infection does not differ from that of a seronegative leprosy patient.

Abstract:
A limit theory for instrumental variables (IV) estimation that allows for possibly nonstationary processes was developed in Kitamura and Phillips (1992, Fully Modified IV, GIVE, and GMM Estimation with Possibly Non-stationary Regressors and Instruments, mimeo, Yale University). This theory covers a case that is important for practitioners, where the nonstationarity of the regressors may not be of full rank, and shows that the fully modified (FM) regression procedure of Phillips and Hansen (1990) is still applicable. FM. versions of the generalized method of moments (GMM) estimator and the generalized instrumental variables estimator (GIVE) were also developed, and these estimators (FM-GMM and FM-GIVE) were designed specifically to take advantage of potential stationarity in the regressors (or unknown linear combinations of them). These estimators were shown to deliver efficiency gains over FM-IV in the estimation of the stationary components of a model. This paper provides an overview of the FM-IV, FM-GMM, and FM-GIVE procedures and investigates the small sample properties of these estimation procedures by simulations. We compare the following five estimation methods: ordinary least squares, crude (conventional) IV, FM-IV, FM-GMM, and FM-GIVE. Our findings are as follows, (i) In terms of overall performance in both stationary and nonstationary cases, FM-IV is more concentrated and better centered than OLS and crude IV, though it has a higher root mean square error than crude IV due to occasional outliers, (ii) Among FM-IV, FM-GMM, and FM-GIVE, (a) when applied to the stationary coefficients, FM-GIVE generally outperforms FM-IV and FM-GMM by a wide margin, whereas the difference between the latter two is quite small when the AR roots of the stationary processes are rather large; and (b) when applied to the nonstationary coefficients, the three estimators are numerically very close. The performance of the FM-GIVE estimator is generally very encouraging.
