The harder the forearm flexor–pronator muscles (FPMs) relative to the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL), the less likely it is for UCL laxity to occur with repeated pitching. This study aimed to clarify what selective contraction of the forearm muscles makes FPMs harder relative to UCL. The study evaluated 20 elbows of male college students. Participants selectively contracted the forearm muscles in eight conditions under gravity stress. AbstractThe concrete with different fibre and ratio can lead to different performance. This paper studies the mechanical properties of concrete by changing the ratio of PVA fibre and steel fibre. Three kinds of ratio of the PVA fibre and steel fibre are studied. They are 0% PVA fibre and 0% steel fibre, 0.25% PVA fibre and 0.75% steel fibre, 0.5% PVA fibre and 0.5% steel fibre. The compressive strength, flexural strength, bending toughness are tested. The test result shows that the compressive strength of the P0.25S0.75 increases. While the group of P0.5S0.5 shows a little range of decreasing.

This report presents data we have compiled while monitoring localized snowshoe hare populations in the central Brooks Range near Wiseman, Alaska, using track and pellet counts. In addition, we documented snowshoe hare geophagy?the practice of consuming soil?via trail cameras, thus confirming the use of mineral licks by snowshoe hares in this area. Evidence of geophagy by snowshoe hares (Lepus americanus) was observed during track count surveys in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve west of Wiseman, Alaska, in 1997?2001 when the hare population reached an exceptionally high peak.
