Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur Harry Potter-böckerna kan användas för att främja undervisning om källkritik och kritiskt tänkande inom ramen för svenskundervisningen. Detta görs genom att fyra textexempel, två ur Harry Potter och Den flammande bägaren och två ur Harry Potter och Fenixorden, analyseras utifrån läroplanerna Lgr11 och Gy11 och källkritiska principer samt fantasyspecifika teorier. I argue the mothers and their relationship with their offspring represent fragments of a whole complicated psyche. The characters are not analyzed as individuals, but instead as pieces, sometimes multiple pieces, of a whole psyche.
