Abstract:
This paper aims to examine the era of Islamic intellectual packaging during the reign of Caliph Harun al-Rashid during the Abbasid dynasty in Baghdad. History has recorded that during the reign of the Abbasid dynasty, Muslims were truly at the peak of their glory and led world civilization at that time. The reign of the Abbasid dynasty was a "golden age" in the history of Islamic civilization, especially during the reign of Caliph Harun al-Rashid and al-Ma'mun. He ruled for 23 years and made this dynasty achieve progress and glory in the fields of politics, economy, trade, science and Islamic civilization. This research concludes that the Abbasid Dynasty was the heyday of Islam in various fields, especially science and science. Islamic intellectual progress at that time was due to the caliph's love of science, the establishment of the Baitul Hikmah library, and the movement to translate various books and literature into and out of Arabic played a major role in shaping the Islamic intellectual world at that time.

Abstract:
We can begin with a story. In his account of the reign of Harun al-Rashid, al-Tabari spends considerable time on the matter of Yahya ibn Abdallah. Scion of the family of ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, Yahya was the leader of a group active in Daylam, a region in present-day Iran. Al-Rashid and other Abbasid leaders laid claim to the territory, but at the time (the 790s) they did not have effective control over it. Ever-sensitive to the challenge presented by sentiment favoring the house of ‘Ali, al-Rashid and his advisers devised a scheme by which the ruler of Daylam received payment for persuading Yahya to turn himself in. He did so, but only on the condition that al-Rashid provide him with a written aman, or guarantee of security.

Abstract:
AbstractA vast array of narratives found in medieval historical chronicles and literary sources have referenced the particular ways in which the culture associated with the ‘Abbasid caliphate diverged from a binary model of gender. Despite debate about the historical accuracy of these early chronicles, the repeated references to the sixth ‘Abbasid caliph Muhammad al-Amin's non-heteronormativity indicate at least a kernel of truth. This article examines the collective memory construction of al-Amin in the Egyptian series Harun al-Rashid (1997) and two Syrian series, Abna’ al-Rashid: al-Amin wa-l-Ma'mun (The Sons of al-Rashid: al-Amin and al-Ma'mun, 2006) and Harun al-Rashid (2018). These contemporary portrayals of the life of al-Amin simultaneously illustrate the process by which history is altered by authorial perspective and the erasure of nonheteronormative space within the ‘Abbasid caliphate. My own authorial perspective inclines toward an interpretation of al-Amin as queer; through this lens, an inspection of wide-ranging accounts of al-Amin's life reveals the historical biases of his time and our current moment, too, as historians then and now variably recognize al-Amin's queerness in constructing collective memory. Some have argued that anti–al-Amin chroniclers may have engaged in historical revisionism and referred to al-Amin as queer to discredit the caliph, but ultimately, whether or not this is true, the current application of those early references by contemporary screenwriters is the most revealing historiographical decision, as his many representations serve as a mirror for our contemporary subjectivities, interests, and agendas. At a time when queer lives and experiences are notably absent from traditional historical narratives, this article proposes that regardless of the accuracy of the original sources, the absence itself in contemporary portrayals is significant, as patterns of exclusion yield tangible meaning. In this particular case, the ready elimination of queerness from contemporary narratives shows the ways in which queerness is vulnerable to erasure in favor of other, more politically expedient identity characteristics and values.

Abstract:
Islam had a very advanced civilization, namely during the Abbasid dynasty. More precisely when Caliph Harun Al Rashid and his son Al Ma'mun led, around the 8th century AD to the 13th century AD. Harun Al Rashid and his son Al Ma'mun have big aspirations, namely to build an Islamic civilization that upholds science. But unfortunately this golden age of Islam must end. There are several factors that caused the end of this golden age of Islam. However, the most significant was the result of an attack from the Mongols that destroyed Baghdad along with the most complete library and center of knowledge at that time, Bayt Al Hikmah. This attack from the Mongols also caused the political power of Islam to be divided. Where the Islamic territory is no longer in one big unit, which is led by one leader who becomes the caliphate as the center of government. Islamic political conditions began to develop again and began to show progress after the emergence of the three great Islamic empires in the Middle Ages. Abstract:
The succession crisis and civil war that followed the death of Caliph Harun alRashid in 809 is a gloomy chapter in the history of the Abbasid caliphate in its prime that captured the attention of later medieval Muslim scholars. Their main challenge lay in trying to find an appropriate rationale for justifying the conflict between the caliph's sons, al-Amin and al-Maʾmun, and the fate of the community under a caliphate seized by force for the first time in the Abbasid era. The destruction wrought by the civil war on the capital, Baghdad, combined with the spread of factional strife to other provinces of the caliphate, presented an ethical and religious dilemma reminiscent to contemporaries of the early Islamic fitnas. Conscious of this parallel, the chronicler al-Tabari, writing a century later, devotes considerably more space to the years of the civil war than he does to the reigns of al-Rashid and al-Maʾmun that bracketed it.

Abstract:
This research is focusing on the epistemological pattern of Islamic education during the Abbasid dynasty, especially during the Caliph Harun ar-Rashid. This study is library research using a historical approach. The research findings indicate that the background influencing the development of educational epistemology during the Abbasid dynasty, especially during the Caliph Harun is the translation movement, the construction of Bait al-Hikmah, the high number of Islamic educational institutions such as kuttab / maktab, low education in the palace, procurement of bookstores, the existence of Knowledge Convention, optimizing the function of mosques, madrasas for the public, and providing houses for ulema. More, the existence of scientists around the Caliph Harun promoted the progress of science, civilization, and Islamic education. In addition, the advance of political stability and economic circumstances during the Caliph Harun had also made scientific activity, Islamic education, and knowledge development becomes maximum. Moreover, Islamic education epistemology during the Caliph Harun can be mapped into three major streams of the underlying theory of knowledge, first, rational knowledge; second, sensory knowledge; and third, knowledge of Kasyaf through revelation or intuition. Several forms of knowledge developed from the epistemological style of Islamic education include the science of interpretation, the science of hadith, the science of kalam, the science of language, and the science of Tasawuf. Epistemology of Islamic education spawned many methods for scientific study such as nadzr, tadabur, tafakur, bayyinah, burhan, mulahzah, tajrib, istiqra, qiyas, tamsil, ta'wil, dzati, HISSI, khayali, aqli, syibhi, and more.

This article discusses the Islamic civilization's description during the Caliph Harun Al-Rashid of the Abbasid Daula, progressing rapidly. His triumph was inseparable from the Islamic education system's synergy role, and the Islamic economic system was implemented and became a characteristic of that time. Historical records show that the Islamic civilization at that time succeeded in bringing and showing the world that Islam was a superpower that could not be taken lightly by its reign of more than 5 (five) centuries. One of the indicators of the triumph of Islamic civilization is an indicator in the rapidly developing economy, be it agriculture, trade, or industry, due to the rapid development of the world of education and research. At that time, education got much attention from the state. However, education cannot succeed without economic support. Therefore, the state gives primary attention to the people's welfare, especially those related to the education component, namely students, educators, education funding, educational facilities, and educational tools. So it is not an exaggeration if the early period of Abbasid leadership encouraged the birth of The Golden Age of Islam.

The reign of the Abbasid dynasty reached its golden age during the reign of caliph Harun al-Rashid and caliph al-Ma'mun. At that time, literacy centers had developed, and the city of Baghdad was called a world professor because it had places of learning that gave birth to experts in several fields of knowledge, and became a center for translation facilities that translated many Arabic and non-Arabic books. However, in 1258 this dynasty entered a phase of destruction followed by the disappearance of scientific civilization as the Mongolian dynasty, which was then led by Hulagu Khan, came. The entire civilization of the Abbasid dynasty in Baghdad was destroyed and school buildings, mosques, universities and other buildings were torn down, all books were burned and thrown into the Tigris river, so that the river water turned black and many experts in the field of science were killed. All civilizations that once reached their heyday were immediately scorched to earth by the actions of the Mongolian troops. This was the beginning of the destruction of Islamic literacy because all evidence of books was destroyed and the deaths of experts in the field of knowledge who were sources of studying knowledge.

Abstract:
Astronomy is a particular field in Islam related to the interests of daily Muslim worship practices, such as determining the beginning of prayer times, qibla direction, and the beginning of the Qamariyah month. During the Abbasid period 750-1258 AD, especially during the reign of Abu Ja'far Al-Mansur, Harun Al-Rashid, and Al-Ma'mun, Islamic astronomy developed significantly. This can be seen from the emergence of astronomers. The love of the three Abbasid caliphs for science significantly influenced the policies related to development in science. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with historical analysis techniques. This study aims to add to the enrichment of historical treasures related to the development of science, especially astronomy, during the Abbasid period. Meanwhile, astronomy during the Abbasid period also had many scientific sources that needed to be studied more comprehensively. That is, many scientific figures in astronomy have never been specifically studied. Therefore, the study of astronomy today in higher education must also seriously focus on learning classical knowledge. This paper discusses the Abbasid state in developing science during its reign by looking at it from the perspective of significant scientific developments during the leadership of its caliph, which was indirectly influenced by socio-religious and intellectual conditions in his time. During the Abbasid era, the progress of science had reached its golden age, especially in Islamic astronomy which had contributed to the development of its science in the field of astronomy in the period after that until now.

Abstract:
Imam Shafi'i was the first to have the latest ideas and ideas of his time regarding the method of extracting Islamic law (Takhrij al-Ahkam), which was systematically poured into a paper entitled Ar-Risalah (letter). This bookkeeping effort was in line with the development of Islamic science at that time. The development of this science occurred during the time of Harun Al-Rashid and culminated in the time of Al-Ma'mun. The birth of the book of Ar-Risalah was the initial phase of the development of ushul fiqh science as a scientific discipline. So this book became the main reference for USHUL experts in the later period in compiling similar works. In the book ar-Risalah, it is found that ash-Shafi'i does not mention the name of his book, and does not even give its own theme to a number of important studies that came to be known as ushul fiqh, he wrote in a broader framework, namely: Kehujjahan as-Sunnah. Ar-Risale is just a treatise written by ash-Shafi'i at the request of al-Mahdi. This Ar-Risale still contains material that is not actually ushul Fiqh, the discussion of ushul fiqh is concentrated on As-Sunnah, Ijma', and Qiya which are solely to deny istihsan. The style of thinking and the factors that intervene in the method of istinbat ash-Shafi'i are commensurate with his educational background, he is one of the Imams of Ahlu as-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah, who in his fiqhiyyah branch sided with two groups, namely ahlu al-Hadith and ahlu ar-Ra'yi (tawasuth). These two capacities of moderate thinking are what make Ash-Syafi'i so beloved and accepted by the majority of the world's Muslims, especially in Indonesia.

Abstract:
Islamic education is always changing from time to time, one of the important things to analyze is Islamic education in the period of progress in the era of the Abbasid dynasty. History records that the journey of Islamic education had progressed so rapidly, far behind Western education. However, later it experienced a setback and was inversely proportional to Western education which continued to soar far ahead of leaving Islamic education until now. Therefore, it is important to reflect on the glorious history of Islamic education or what is called the era of progress in Islamic education. Studying and understanding things that promote Islamic education in the age of progress, as an effort to build Islamic education in the future. Thus, based on the explanation that has been described, the formulation of the problem to be solved in this study is related to the description of Islamic education in the era of progress, in this study, namely library research, namely the type of research conducted by reading books or magazines and other data sources to collect data. data from various literature, both libraries and in other places. History records Islamic education in the Abbasid era as a period of progress and glory of Islamic education. The caliph as the holder of the power is a figure who is so strong and loves science very much. The seven caliphs who were known to love the development of science were al-Mahdi, al-Hadi, Harun al-Rashid, al-Ma'mun, al-Mu'tashim, al-Wasiq, and al-Mutawakkil. The rapid development of science was centered in Baghdad and lasted for approximately five centuries (750 AD - 1258 AD). Throughout the Abbasid Caliphate, many well-known educational institutions have been built, one of which is Baitul Hikmah. During the Abbasid era, the Nizamiyah Madrasah educational institution appeared for the first time and was the forerunner to the development of Madrasah in today's modern era.

Abstract:
In this work, a compact, stable dual-wavelength Q-switched laser with a multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) slurry as saturable absorber (SA) which is independent of any host polymer has been demonstrated. The MWCNTs slurry is fabricated and the peak shift is investigated using Raman spectroscopy. The passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) oscillated simultaneously at 1532.32 nm and 1556.97 nm with 24.67 nm peak separation, at threshold and maximum input power of 26mW and 74mW respectively.By increasing the input pump power from 36 mW to 74 mW, the pulse train repetition rate increases from 25 kHz to 78 kHz, while the pulse width is reduced from 17.84 us to 5.24 ?s. The generated pulse produced maximum pulse energy and maximum peak power of 11.97 nJ and 2.05 mW, respectively at maximum input pump power. The recorded signal to noise ratio is about 62 dB and shows that the proposed MWCNTs slurry based SAis able to generate dual wavelength Q-switched pulse laser with high stability pulse. Abstract:
This research paper examines the rhythmic composition of a long poem written by the Abbasids poet (Abi_ Ya,qub Al- Khuraymi) in which he laments over the city of Baghdad after the destruction and devastation that have befallen it, as a result of the conflict between al-Ameen and al- Mamoun, the sons of the Abbasid Caliph Haroun al-Rashid. The poet was keen to exploit the components of the rhythm internally and externally to construct the poem to build psychological reactions. To attain this goal, the poem has its own internal and external rhythm, parallelism, poetic inlay rhyme, and narrative style.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTOn a global and regional scale, Indonesia has one of the least environmentally sustainable economies in the Asia-Pacific region. Consumption is one of the key factors contributing to environmental degradation. By using materialism and environmental knowledge as mediators, this study aimed to understand how religiosity affects ethical consumption. This research used quantitative methods with structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis techniques based on partial least squares (PLS). The data came from a questionnaire distributed online. 153 valid questionnaires were selected for analysis. All respondents came from Indonesia, were adults (from 18 years old), and were Muslims. Findings show that religiosity influences ethical consumption, materialism, and environmental knowledge. This research also reveals that materialism and environmental knowledge influence ethical consumption, as well as the mediating effect of materialism and environmental knowledge on the influence between religiosity and ethical consumption. So, all hypotheses from this research can be accepted. These findings contribute theoretically to explaining the relationship between religiosity, materialism, environmental knowledge, and ethical consumption. Thus, this findings contribute to the field of Islamic economics. Practically, the findings of this research can help marketers formulate communication strategies that take into account the level of religiosity of consumers in Indonesia. Marketers must avoid unethical practices to encourage ethical consumption. Kata Kunci: Religiosity, ethical consumption, materialism, environmental knowledge REFERENCES Adib, H., & El-Bassiouny, N. Crossref, https://doi.org/10.14445/23488379/IJEEE-V10I4P104 Abstract: This paper reported the development of an alcohol sensor based on a glass substrate platform. The glass substrate was coated with two nanomaterial types: Hydroxyethylcellulose/Polyvinylidene fluoride (HEC/PVDF) and Agarose Gel, for comparison purposes. Three layers of coating material have been applied to the glass substrate to obtain the optimum sensing response. The coated glass substrate is kept dry for 24 hours before expose to variations of ethanol concentration to investigate the sensing response. A significant response to alcohol concentrations has been observed for both samples due to the changeable refractive index layer of the coating material. The sensitivity improved by a factor of 1.18 and 1.51, respectively, compared to the bared glass. The proposed sensor employed low-cost and commercially available components such as a glass substrate, LED light source and Arduino microcontroller to perform as an alcohol sensor. It prevents using expensive laser-based sensors, which is less practical in real industrial applications. Based on the experiment results, the HEC/PVDF-coated glass produced has demonstrated better results in terms of repeatability, hysteresis, stability and sensitivity as compared to agarose gel-coated glass. Hence the proposed sensor has a decent potential as an alcohol sensor Keywords: Alcohol sensor, Glass substrate, HEC/PVDF, Agarose gel. References: [1] G. Abstract:
ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate the impact of Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) on Islamic Social Responsibility (ISR) by Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. Secondary data were collected from the annual reports of 14 Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia from 2010 to 2020, resulting in 125 firm-year data. A panel data regression was applied to analyze the data. The analysis results show that SSB age, cross-membership, and meeting frequency have a positive effect on ISR, whereas size has a negative effect. However, this analysis results did not manage to support the effect of SSB qualifications (Ph.D.) and expertise on ISR. The findings imply that SSB needs to increase the frequency of meetings to improve its supervisory function over Shariah banks' management, including in encouraging more comprehensive ISR disclosure. The contribution of this research is that research focuses on the characteristics of SSB on ISR by using Sharia Enterprise Theory (SET) to provide a better understanding of how these factors influence the implementation of ISR in the sharia context. Keywords: Sharia Supervisory Board Characteristics, Social Reporting, Islamic Bank, Indonesia ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki dampak SSB terhadap Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) oleh Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia. Abstract:
Caliph Al-Ma'mun was the first individual to come up with the idea of establishing a waqf body to finance education and built the world's first waqf-funded institution called Bayt al-Hikmah. The early establishment of Bayt al-Hikma as a concept or indeed as a forum for debate can be attributed to Harun ar-Rashid (763-809 CE) who regularly held intellectual debates with scholars and scientists. This study aims to determine the development of waqf and Bayt al-Hikmah research trends published by leading journals on Islamic economics. The data analyzed consisted of 117 indexed research publications. The data is then processed and analyzed using the VoS viewer application to determine the bibliometric map of waqf and Bayt al-Hikmah research development.

Abstract:
The Abbasid Empire emerged as the main power ruling the Muslim world in the year 132H/750CE with its centre in Baghdad, after defeating the Umayyad Dynasty in the battlefield. The Abbasid Empire began to achieve its golden age during the era of Caliph Harun al-Rashid (171-193H/787-809CE). However, the Abbasids gradually experienced decline after the rise of the Turkic military which was brought en masse during the rule of Caliph al-Mu‘tasim (218-226H/833-841CE). The Turkic military began to seize power and some of them set up their own small kingdoms. The most influential leader among the Turkic was Amir Ahmad ibn Tulun (254-270H/868-884CE), who succeeded in founding the Tulunid Kingdom in Egypt. Thus the objective of this research is to examine in detail the biography of Amir Ibn Tulun and attempt to understand and appraise from history, his attitude, interests and authority as the leading Tulunid ruler. This is in view of the close relationship partially between an individual’s current interests and behaviour with the environment in which he grew up. This is a qualitative research using historical and biographical study. This research uses documentation as a method of collecting data by focusing on primary and secondary sources. Analysis of data is descriptive using content analysis and interpretation of sources based on historical interpretation. Research results find that Ibn Tulun succeeded in laying down the ultimate benchmark in the history of Egypt by establishing his domain extending from Syria to the borders of Iraq in the East and to Libya in the West, and declaring full independence from the Abbasid Dynasty centred in Baghdad at that time
