In this article, the properties of quantum hash functions are further explored. Previous findings show that so-called small-bias sets (special subsets of the set of elements of a cyclic group) generate a “phase” quantum hash function. Here, it was proved that they also generate an “amplitude” quantum hash function. Namely, it turned out that constructing small-bias sets while generating amplitude quantum functions yields a well-balanced combination of the cryptographic properties of unidirectionality and collision resistance. However, contemporary forms of social realism have emerged much more depoliticised, drawing on similar subject matter but using decontextualised narrative strategies. R-22 (also known as HCFC-22) is one of the most widely used refrigerants in U.S. Army air-conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) systems since the phase-out of R-12 refrigerant in 1995. The need to phase out R-22 is attributed to its global warming potential and high ozone-depleting capability. The U.S. Army has tens of thousands of aging AC&R systems that will remain dependent on R-22, or one of the recently developed substitutes for R-22, until they reach the end of their operational life. This project conducted a survey to understand the current R-22 usage and types of R-22 AC&R

Abstract:
The global tide of populism will leave a profound mark on Turkey. The ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) success during the past two decades, has hinged on Islamist authoritarian populism and been driven by its long-time leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “New Turkey” is now a reality. The AKP has been successful at dismantling the Kemalist ideals – ironically, perhaps, by using similarly repressing techniques, such as cracking down on civil liberties and democratic rights.

Abstract:
Liberalism is the political doctrine that built and dominates our modern world; yet the liberalism of desire that fostered the construction of this world has been transformed into a liberalism of necessity—a liberalism that constructs politics as a dichotomy between oppressors and victims. This kind of politics requires the power of the State to save individuals from victimhood; however, only the individual acting freely can mitigate their suffering.

Abstract:
Climate issues have altered power relations and become a political problem in the field of political science and international relations. Since the 1980s, climate debates have problematized and contributed to redefine the boundaries between national and international politics, hierarchies between economic and environmental priorities, and connections between human and natural dimensions, thus intervening in the definition of modes of regulation and conflict resolution nationally and globally. Therefore, climate change has also led to debates on the role of the State, international organization

Abstract:
The seemingly upward trend in opting out from public services and the segregation of income groups in public and private education and health systems has raised concerns about the future of an already fragmented social contract in Latin America. In this chapter, we examine the evolution of the use of private education and private health insurance in selected countries during the first two decades of the 2000s. We also examine the socio-demographic correlates of the decision to opt out, and the association it has with attitudes that are relevant to understand the foundations of the social contr
