Music has been a therapeutic tool for many centuries. Still, it was only with the development of modern scientific medicine in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that its use in therapy began to be based on more solid scientific evidence. Today, we know that music can have a powerful effect on the heart, and research has shown that certain types of music can help improve heart function. This review explores the latest scientific findings on how music affects the heart and the different music types that may benefit heart health.

During their transitional period from childhood to adulthood, adolescents engage in risk-taking behaviors that become public health concerns. It is important for school health education professionals to design instructional programs that focus on adolescents' developmental needs and foster healthier lifestyles. The goal of health education is to help students acquire health skills that are necessary to succeed in school and in life. This is especially important because the increase in teenagers' risky behaviors can affect their health, well being, and eventually the course of their lives. This

It is well documented that British South Asians (BSAs; people of South Asian origin residing in the UK) experience an elevated risk of developing coronary heart disease. The disease rate is approximately 50% higher than the national average. Many causal factors for this unfavourable risk profile have been put forward indicating that it is likely to be explained by a complex interplay of both genetic and lifestyle factors. Components of the BSA diet coupled with an inactive lifestyle have been identified as modifiable risk factors which could play a significant role in the prevention of this di

Abstract:
This paper explores the mitigating effects of climate policies in addressing climate-induced health adversities in Bangladesh. The paper investigates the effect of in utero exposure to rainfall variations on child health in Bangladesh, finding negative effects on children’s anthropometric outcomes. It exploits the heterogeneity in location and timing of district-level allocations for climate projects under the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust Fund. It finds that some of these rainfall-induced health adversities can be mitigated through climate policies.
