This brief examines Nepal’s medical equipment management challenges and offers actionable recommendations. A survey of 80 health facilities across five provinces highlights key issues, including unused or nonfunctional equipment caused by logistical hurdles, workforce shortages, and maintenance gaps. The brief calls for strengthening workforce capacity, advancing digital inventory systems, and aligning policies to improve equipment management and boost health care delivery efficiency.
