Background Burnout is endemic to nursing and carries high personal, institutional, and social costs. Methods Previous studies have demonstrated that yoga may alleviate burnout in healthcare workers. A yoga-based intervention was created specifically for ICU nurses. The program was offered to all nurses working in critical care environments through recruitment emails and fliers. 28 nurses participated, but a high attrition rate led to only 9 people completing both the pre-and-posttest survey.
