Superconductors present great potential for weight reduction and increased power delivery when compared to traditional copper power delivery systems, but current systems require cryogenic cooling systems. Traditional superconductor cooling systems consist of helium cooled by helical heat exchangers made of Oxygen Free High thermal Conductivity (OFHC) copper tube. The helium is cooled by bulky heat exchangers consisting of OFHC copper coils wrapped around a cryogenic cooler heat sink for heat transfer into the working fluid. Metal foams have recently been studied in a variety of heat transfer a

Abstract:
In today’s research and market, IT applications for health-care are gaining huge interest of both IT and medical researchers. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are considered the largest cause of death for both men and women regardless of ethnic backgrounds. More efficient treatments and most importantly efficient methods of cardiac diagnosis that examine heart diseases are desired. Electrocardiography (ECG) is an essential method used to diagnose heart diseases. However, diagnosing any cardiovascular disease based on the 12-lead ECG printout from an ECG machine using human eye might seriously im

Abstract:
The primary objective of this thesis was to develop a novel adsorption calorimeter to assess the equilibrium and dynamic behaviour of adsorbent-bond- metal sub-system, a constituent of an adsorption chiller. In this research, a novel calorimeter consisting of an adsorber and an evaporator section has been built. Thermoelectric modules were used to control the temperature and measure the instantaneous heat flow at the adsorber and evaporator sections. This thermoelectric module system was tested against an inert aluminium sample. The aluminium sample temperatures were controlled to constant, si

Abstract:
[EN] The main objective of this Thesis was to study the energy metabolism in small ruminants under different nutrition sceneries. As methodology we utilized indirect calorimetry instead of direct calorimetry or feeding trials. Within indirect calorimetry we worked with a portable open circuit gas exchange system with a head hood. This open circuit respiration system permitted completed the whole energy balance and evaluate the efficiency of utilization of the energy of the diet for different physiological circumstances as milk production in dairy goats or maintenance in sheep. Besides, we coul
