The Pueblo of Zuni is located in west-central New Mexico and east-central Arizona, with a Reservation encompassing approximately 655 square miles. Of these 640 square miles comprise the main reservation in New Mexico, almost one square mile of land surrounds Zuni Salt Lake some 60 miles south of the main reservation, and the remaining 14 square miles of Zuni Heaven (Kolhu/wala:wa), also detached from the main reservation, are located near Saint Johns, Arizona.
