Franz, Matthias. "Die Jungenbeschneidung aus Sicht des Sozialwissenschaftlers Heinz-Jürgen Voß." Psychoanalytische Familientherapie 19, no. 2 (November 2018): 107–14. http://dx.doi.org/10.30820/8218.06.

Abstract:

Abstract:
A survey of 140 processing tomato fields throughout central California was conducted in 1996–97 to determine whether soil factors affect the occurrence of the tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) fruit color disorders “yellow eye” (a halo of yellow tissue around the stem scar) and white core (an abnormal amount of internal white tissue); these disorders render fruit unsuitable for use as peeled or diced product. All fields were planted in `Halley' or `Heinz 8892'. Soil samples (0–30 cm) were analyzed for pH, texture, TKN, bicarbonate extractable P, and ammonium acetate-extractable K, Ca, and Mg. Ripe fruit were rated for the incidence (%) of fruit affected by one or both of the disorders, blended color, and % soluble solids (SS). Soil K (in meq., expressed as a % of base exchange) was negatively correlated with the incidence of the disorders, while soil Mg was positively correlated. Fields with extractable K <2% of base exchange averaged 21% of fruits affected by one or both disorders, compared to only 4% of fruits affected in fields with K >2.5% of base exchange and a Mg/K ratio (meq. basis) <12. Percent SS was weakly correlated with extractable K, but blended color was unrelated to any soil factor. In 1997 field trials, both gypsum application (to displace soil Mg) and K fertilization significantly suppressed the color disorders but did not affect yield, blended color, or % SS.

Full text
Abstract:
A “plastic” or “chemical” taint, has recently emerged as a problem in drinking water in Perth, Western Australia. The taste occurs intermittently in zones receiving blends of treated groundwaters from several sources, generally only in boiled water. The compound primarily responsible is 2,6-dibromophenol (taste threshold concentration 0.5 ng/L). It was established that the relative ratios of phenol, bromide and chlorine, and pH are important determinants in whether the taste would or would not form and that the primary sources of phenol are plastic appliances, especially kettles and refrigerators (Heitz et al., 2001). However, bromophenol formation varied widely between waters from different sources, even though reaction conditions were ostensibly identical, and it was concluded that another, as yet unknown, factor must influence the reaction rate. This could account for observations that plastic taste only occurred in some groundwaters, but not in others. In the present study the effects of organic and inorganic nitrogen-containing compounds on phenol bromination rates were examined, with the view that this might give some insights into the nature of the unknown factor discussed above. These compounds slowed the rate of bromophenol formation, and results suggested that disinfection using chloramine, rather than chlorine, could prevent plastic taste problems.

Abstract:
Ramirez-Ramirez, H. A., Geis, A. R., Heine, C. S., Clark, K. J., Gehman, A. M. and Kononoff, P. J. 2011. Storage conditions of wet corn distillers’ grains with solubles in combination with other feeds and understanding the effects on performance of lactating dairy cows. Can. J. Anim. Sci. 91: 331–339. Wet distillers’ grains are commonly stored in polyethylene silo bags until needed for feeding. The objective of the first experiment was to evaluate the nature of ensiling wet distillers’ grains with soluble (WDGS) alone or in combination with other feeds. A 3×4×3 factorial experiment was conducted in which 36 mixtures were made using three loads of distillers’ grains stored at varying levels with three feeds (corn silage, ground corn, and brome hay). In all mixtures, the addition of feeds to WDGS increased the pH of stored material. The objective of the second experiment was to evaluate the effects of feeding WDGS on milk production. Twenty Holstein cows were used in a 4×5 Youden square. Prior to initiation of the study, WDGS were stored alone (WDGS) or mixed with either 12% ground corn (DM basis) (WDGS+C), 15% brome hay (DM basis) (WDGS+H) or 15% corn silage (DM basis) (WDGS+CS) in polyethylene silo bags. Animals were assigned to one of five treatments during each 21-d period. A diet not containing WDGS was formulated (Control), along with one containing 30% WDGS (DM basis) (WDGS). Three additional diets, similar to the WDGS treatment, were formulated to include one of the three blends of WDGS with corn (WDGS+C), brome hay (WDGS+H) or corn silage (WDGS+CS). Dry matter intake (DMI) was affected by diet and, compared with Control (21.9 kg d−1±0.70 kg d−1), was greater for WDGS (23.8±0.70 kg d−1) and WDGS+C (23.7±0.70 kg d−1). Milk yield, 3.5% FCM, and fat yield were not affected by treatment. These results suggest that dairy rations can be formulated to include stored WDGS at 30% DM without negative effects on milk production and composition.

Abstract:
Design of the School of Natural Bengawan Solo in Klaten motivated by formal school education as children when space is in fact still can not be said to ideal for education and develop interest in the child's talents. Education became a fundamental necessity for everyone today. This then raises the idea to present alternative educational space able to accommodate the needs of children to learn, play, and explore. Empowering communities to be able to optimize the potential to become one of the important objects in presenting educational space. Bengawan Solo river and wood craft into the potential of rural communities Gondangsari, Juwiring, Klaten. Potentials possessed villagers Gondangsari not managed properly due to lack of containers in order to accommodate and develop this potential. Design issues are: how to design an alternative education space and bring the space community development based on the application of Ecological Architecture into the design of the School of Natural Solo. The method used is a method of architectural design that blends the essence of Ecological Architecture according to Heinz Frick and Kenneth Yeang in accordance with the design of the School of Natural Solo. Then blend the essence of Ecological Architecture into the design strategies in the design essence a result of interaction of school, nature, and potential kawaasan. The result is a draft design of an educational facility such as classrooms, laboratories of nature, community development space, exhibition space and its supporting buildings which also functions as a precedent alternative education for the visitors.
