Abstract Infection with the hepatitis B or hepatitis C viruses may result in a number of different outcomes, ranging from asymptomatic self-limited (‘‘acute’’) infection to persistent (‘‘chronic’’) infection with liver cirrhosis, liver failure, or hepatocellular carcinoma. Therapeutic intervention in patients with persistent viral infection may lead to complete resolution of the infection and the associated liver disease, may fail, or may even exacerbate the liver disease. Abstract:
The effects of Allokin-alfa were studied as a stimulator of leucopoesis in patients with chronic viral hepatitis B and C accompanied with interferon induced leucopenia. It is determined that when Allokin-alfa is used in complex therapy it decreases leucopenia and neutropenia and the number of leucocytes and segmented neutrophils (р < 0,05) increases. Thus, it is proved Allokin-alfa has a positive effect on stimulation of leucopoesis and improves the results of analysis in leucopenia in patients with chronic viral hepatitis B and C.

Abstract:
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a major public health problem, with more than 400 million HBV carriers estimated worldwide. Chronic HBV infection is associated with a diverse clinical spectrum of liver damage ranging from asymptomatic carrier status, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). There have been increasing lines of evidence to indicate influences of HBV genotypes and mutations on the outcome of liver disease, particularly the development of HCC. The project is aimed to study the prevalence and clinical significance of genotypes and mutations in Precore/

Abstract:
Early detection and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and hepatitis B and C are vital to minimise the harm they cause. This Evidence Check aimed to identify effective initiatives that engage and support GPs and the GP clinic workforce in NSW to increase testing for these conditions. It also aimed to identify effective modifications to practice management software to increase GP engagement in screening and care for these conditions. Sixty-two articles were found in total.
