Abstract:

ZusammenfassungHereditäre Optikusatrophien stellen eine heterogene Gruppe seltener degenerativer Erkrankungen der retinalen Ganglienzellen und ihrer Axone, welche den Sehnerv bilden, dar. Mit einer geschätzten Prävalenz von 1 : 10 000 bis 1 : 20 000 betreffen die hereditären Optikusatrophien in ihrer Gesamtheit etwa 4000 – 8000 Menschen in Deutschland. Am verbreitetsten sind die Leberʼsche Optikusatrophie (LHON) und die autosomal-dominante Optikusatrophie (ADOA). Neben den isolierten Optikusatrophien, deren Symptomatik sich auf das visuelle System beschränkt, gibt es zahlreiche Krankheitsbilder, bei welchen die Optikusatrophie Teil einer syndromalen Erkrankung mit vornehmlich neurosensorischer, neurologischer und/oder neuromuskulärer Symptomatik ist. Der Vererbungsmodus ist heterogen mit einer rein maternalen Vererbung bei der LHON und autosomal-dominanter Vererbung bei der ADOA. Deutlich seltener sind Fälle mit autosomal-rezessiver oder X-chromosomal-rezessiver Vererbung. Die Penetranz ist jedoch unvollständig. Bei der LHON erkranken zudem weitaus häufiger Männer als Frauen. Die genetischen Ursachen der hereditären Optikusatrophien sind heterogen, aber größtenteils bekannt. Die molekulargenetische Diagnostik liefert daher in der Mehrzahl der untersuchten Fälle ein aussagekräftiges Ergebnis, mit welchem die klinische Diagnose abgesichert, das Wiederholungsrisiko in der Familie konkret kalkuliert oder im Falle der Bestätigung einer LHON eine therapeutische Behandlung initiiert werden kann. Dieser Artikel gibt eine Übersicht über die genetischen Ursachen der hereditären Optikusatrophien und die Optionen und Modalitäten einer molekulargenetischen Diagnostik einschließlich Hinweisen zu deren Implementierung in der Praxis.

A heterogenic system of incompatibility is described in Coprinus bisporus which involves two alleles at two loci, in addition to the unifactorial homogenic incompatibility locus already described for this two-spored species. The patterns of non-allelic heterogenic incompatibility found in C. bisporus are used to predict those expected in species with bifactorial homogenic incompatibility. This type of heterogenic incompatibility could lead to speciation.

Abstract:

The object of research is an optical-electronic system for detecting aircraft. The subject of the research is methods for selecting a moving object on a complex inhomogeneous background. The purpose of this work is to develop an algorithm for detecting an unmanned aerial vehicle by an optoelectronic system on a non-uniform background in real time. The presented studies were performed using video image processing methods. A noise-resistant method for selecting an unmanned aerial vehicle against a complex dynamic background is proposed. The algorithm is based on calculating the coordinates of the center of the object area by finding the Gaussian adaptive threshold of the background image. The proposed method can be used in the development of an optical-electronic system for detecting a moving unmanned aerial vehicle against a non-uniform background in real time in the infrared range. As a result, it was found that the proposed algorithm confidently copes with the detection of a contrasting object located at a distance of up to 2 km from the detection system.

We are developing a unified distributed communication environment for processing of spatial data which integrates web-, desktop- and mobile platforms and combines volunteer computing model and public cloud possibilities. The main idea is to create a flexible working environment for research groups, which may be scaled according to required data volume and computing power, while keeping infrastructure costs at minimum. It is based upon the "single window" principle, which combines data access via geoportal functionality, processing possibilities and communication between researchers. Using an innovative software environment the recently developed planetary information system (<a href="http://cartsrv.mexlab.ru/geoportal"target="_blank">http://cartsrv.mexlab.ru/geoportal</a>) will be updated. The new system will provide spatial data processing, analysis and 3D-visualization and will be tested based on freely available Earth remote sensing data as well as Solar system planetary images from various missions. Based on this approach it will be possible to organize the research and representation of results on a new technology level, which provides more possibilities for immediate and direct reuse of research materials, including data, algorithms, methodology, and components. The new software environment is targeted at remote scientific teams, and will provide access to existing spatial distributed information for which we suggest implementation of a user interface as an advanced front-end, e.g., for virtual globe system.

The article presents a study of the performance of a commercial ERP system, operating in the 2W model with a relational database installed on the IBM mainframe platform, as well as business logic and presentation server installed on the Windows Server platform. The study was carried out in accordance with the developed methodology by means of recording the time of performing system functions indicated in the own document “Time-use profile of the ERP system under test”. Consulting sessions were also held. Based on the results of the research, a recommendation was made to migrate production relational databases to the Windows Server environment. Lehrenden in der Erwachsenenbildung kommt die Aufgabe zu, Medien in ihrer Arbeit didaktisch sinnvoll einzusetzen und die Medienkompetenzentwicklung bei ihren Teilnehmenden anzustossen. Da die Gruppe der Lehrenden eine sehr heterogene ist, stellt sich die Frage, von welchen Faktoren deren individuelle, medienpädagogische Professionalisierung abhängt. Von daher wird das Konzept des medialen Habitus als mögliches Erklärungsmuster für die Professionalisierungsentscheidungen der Lehrenden beleuchtet. Der mediale Habitus als System von Grenzen für Medienhandeln limitiert auch die Mediennutzung im beruflichen Kontext und die Anreize sich in diesen Bereichen zu professionalisieren. Wenn strukturelle Professionalisierungsanreize (wie die Verankerung medienpädagogischer Inhalte in pädagogischen Studiengängen) als Orientierung wegfallen, nehmen habituelle Grenzen für die Gestaltung der medienpädagogischen Professionalisierung einen besonderen Stellenwert ein.

After prosperous domino reactions towards benzopyrans, the products were used as the starting material in Lewis acid catalyzed and organocatalytic Diels–Alder reactions to build up a tricyclic system. Herein, an asymmetric induction up to 96% enantiomeric excess was obtained by the use of imidazolidinone catalysts. This approach can be utilized to construct the tricyclic system in numerous natural products, in particular the scaffold of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) being the most representative one. Compared with other published methods, condensation with a preexisting cyclohexane moiety in the precursor is needed to gain the heterogenic tricycle systems, whereas we present a novel strategy towards cannabinoid derivatives based on a flexible modular synthesis.

Zusammenfassung Sichere Verhaltensplanung und Entscheidungsfindung gehören zu den größten Herausforderungen für hochautomatisierte Systeme. Wichtig sind hierbei insbesondere die Erklärbarkeit, Wartbarkeit und Skalierbarkeit des Verfahrens. Wir schlagen daher eine hierarchische verhaltensbasierte Architektur zur taktischen und strategischen Verhaltensgenerierung für automatisierte Fahrzeuge vor. Wir verwenden modulare Verhaltensbausteine, um komplexere Verhaltensweisen in einem Bottom-up-Ansatz zusammenzustellen. Das System ist in der Lage, eine Vielzahl von szenario- und methodenspezifischen Lösungen, wie POMDPs, RRT* oder Reinforcement Learning, in einer nachvollziehbaren Architektur zu kombinieren. Dies ermöglicht den Einsatz heterogener Planungsmethoden, die auf spezifische Fahrmanöver zugeschnitten sind. Experimentelle Ergebnisse veranschaulichen unser Konzept.

Abstract:

During the short history of its existence, even before the state of Israel was born, the Education system in the area known today as Israel has constantly faced the challenge of providing equal, or at least somewhat state-controlled curriculum, budgeting and education in general. During the major periods of government change, various religious, socioeconomic and political groups had tried to reshape the education system to match their needs, creating schools, programs and funding plans accordingly. However, despite the evolving legislation and awareness, the Israeli Education System is heavily segregated based on religion, origins, and other factors. Whole populations are exempted by choice, or by lack of lobbying, while the main system remains to bring equity to a highly heterogenic school system. This article will show the challenges, stratification changes and shifts the system has faced on the way to provide quality education to the children of Israeli state.

Abstract:

Innate immunity was investigated in six 28 to 44 y.o. volunteers for 120-d isolation in controlled environment. Peripheral blood samples gathered during isolation were analyzed to determine monocytes and granulocytes expressing intracellular (TLR3, TLR8, TLR9) and surface (TLR1, TLR2, TLR4, TLR5, TLR6) TLRs, and lymphocytes-natural killers (CD3-CD16+CD56+). The system of pattern-recognition cell receptors displayed a heterogenic reaction with primary activation throughout the period in isolation. The observed changes represent evidently the processes of establishing a dynamic balance of immunity with extreme factors of the life in isolation and confinement, including the reactions to endogenous and exogenous stimuli.

Das Erfüllen heterogener Wunschlieferzeiten stellt hohe Anforderungen an die Funktionalität der Produktionsplanung und -steuerung. Die Nutzung von Eilaufträgen lässt zwar kürzere Lieferzeiten zu, induziert aber längere Durchlaufzeiten für Normalaufträge, eine geringere Termintreue und höhere Sicherheitsbestände. Der in diesem Beitrag beschriebene Ansatz von Schnellläuferaufträgen soll kürzere Lieferzeiten bei einer höheren Logistikeffizienz erlauben.   The satisfaction of heterogeneous desired delivery times requires a high functionality of the production planning and control. The use of rush orders allows for shorter delivery times, but induces longer throughput times for normal orders, lower schedule reliability and higher safety stocks. The fast-track order approach described in this paper is designed to enable shorter delivery times with greater logistics efficiency.

Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS) is a rarely seen autosomal recessive transfer disease characterised by retinal dystrophy, obesity, extremity deformities, mental retardation, and renal and genital system anomalies. BBS shows heterogenic transfer. To date, 18 genes (BBS1–18) and 7 BBS proteins have been defined as related to BBS. All of the defined BBS genes have been shown to be related to the biogenesis or function of cilia. Renal failure accompanying the syndrome, especially in the advanced stages, is the most common cause of mortality. Therefore, as one of the major diagnostic criteria, renal damage is of great importance in early diagnosis. This paper presents the cases of two brothers with BBS who presented with chronic renal failure.

Bei den sogenannten 'Biologicals' handelt es sich um eine heterogene Gruppe von Arzneistoffen, denen häufig nur die gen- oder biotechnologische Herstellung gemein ist. Hinsichtlich Anwendung und Struktur herrschen jedoch erhebliche Unterschiede. Aus diesem Grund existieren für die Herstellung von ihren Folgepräparaten, den Biosimilars, andere Anforderungen und Richtlinien als für die Herstellung von Folgeprodukten chemischer Arzneistoffe (Generika). Einen besonderen Stellenwert haben heutzutage monoklonale Antikörper, Antikörperfragmente und Fusionsproteine, die meist durch rekombinante Verfahren hergestellt werden. Molecular dynamics simulation has been performed to explore the structural and dynamical properties of undercooled Cu50Co50 melt based upon the embedded atom method (EAM), namely due to Zhou. With the reduction of temperature, liquid phase separation phenomenon is more obvious. The simulated coordination number (CN) of liquid Cu50Co50 indicate that no stronger interaction of heterogenic atom pairs than those of the same atom pairs happens in melts, and Cu50Co50 melt is close to an weak demixing system. And the Bhatia-Thornton (B-T) structure factor gets the same result. Temperature dependence of mean squared displacement (MSD) shows very weak glass formation behavior of Cu50Co50. Our work discusses that the relationship between the properties and L-L phase separation in undercooled liquid of Cu50Co50.

This paper presents new preparation method of Pt/SnO2, an important catalytic system. Besides of its application as a heterogenic industrial catalyst, it is also used as a catalyst in electrochemical processes, especially in fuel cells. Platinum is commonly used as an anode catalyst in low temperature fuel cells, fuelled with alcohols of low molecular weight such as methanol. Platinum(0)-1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane complex was used as a precursor of metallic phase. The aim of the research was to obtain a highly active in electrochemical system Pt/SnO2catalyst with low metal load. Considering small size of Pt crystallites, it should result in high activity of Pt/SnO2system. The presented method of SnO2synthesis allows for obtaining support consisting of nanoparticles. The effect of the thermal treatment on activity of Pt/SnO2gel was demonstrated. The system properties were investigated using TEM, FTIR (ATR), and XRD techniques to describe its thermal structural evolution. The results showed two electrocatalytical activity peaks for drying at a temperature of 430 K and above 650 K.

Eine Blutdruckreduktion durch Gewichtsreduktion ist möglich, aber schwer zu quantifizieren, da die vorliegenden Studien sehr heterogen sind. Dennoch ist Gewichtsreduktion sinnvoll, um das Erreichen der Zielblutdruckwerte zu unterstützen.Im Rahmen der medikamentösen Therapie können außer den ACE-Hemmern oder AT1-Rezeptorblockern keine Medikamente bzw. Medikamentengruppen herausgehoben werden. Häufig ist ohnehin eine Kombinationstherapie notwendig bzw. Begleiterkrankungen diktieren die Substanzauswahl. Adipöse Patienten sind besonders häufig von therapieresistenter Hypertonie betroffen. Eine sorgfältige Blutdruckmessung zusammen mit der Suche nach Endorganschäden, metabolischen Störungen und Schlafapnoe helfen, die besonders gefährdeten Patienten zu identifizieren.

Primary lymphedema is a long-term (chronic) condition characterized by tissue lymph retention and swelling that can affect any part of the body, although it usually develops in the arms or legs. Due to the relevant contribution of the lymphatic system to human physiology, while this review mainly focuses on the clinical and physiological aspects related to the regulation of fluid homeostasis and edema, clinicians need to know that the impact of lymphatic dysfunction with a genetic origin can be wide ranging. Lymphatic dysfunction can affect immune function so leading to infection; it can influence cancer development and spread, and it can determine fat transport so impacting on nutrition and obesity. Genetic studies and the development of imaging techniques for the assessment of lymphatic function have enabled the recognition of primary lymphedema as a heterogenic condition in terms of genetic causes and disease mechanisms. In this review, the known biological functions of several genes crucial to the development and function of the lymphatic system are used as a basis for understanding normal lymphatic biology. The disease conditions originating from mutations in these genes are discussed together with a detailed clinical description of the phenotype and the up-to-date knowledge in terms of disease mechanisms acquired from in vitro and in vivo research models.

Major sections of today’s rivers are man made and do not provide the essential requirements for riverine fish. A nature-like fish by-pass system in Vienna-Freudenau was assessed for its function as a fish habitat. The study was conducted continuously over 3 years; 15 years after construction of the by-pass. The chosen nature-like construction of the by-pass system functions like natural tributaries. More than 17000 fish and 43 species, including several protected and endangered species, in all life stages, including eggs, larvae, juveniles and adults, were captured. Furthermore, the indicator species of the free-flowing Danube, nase (Chondrostoma nasus) and barbel (Barbus barbus), migrated into the fish by-pass and successfully spawned before returning. Therefore, our results suggest that by-pass systems can function as an important habitat for the conservation of native fish fauna. The heterogenic habitat configuration provides conditions for all ecological guilds and, consequently, increases biodiversity. Finally, approved management tools are discussed. We suggest that fish by-pass channels may be suitable at other sites in the Danube catchment.

StreszczeniePrzeżycie pacjentów ze szpiczakiem plazmocytowym (ang. multiple myeloma – MM) poprawiło się znacznie w ostatnich kilkunastu latach dzięki wprowadzeniu do terapii nowych leków, takich jak inhibitory proteasomu czy leki immunomodulujące. Pomimo tego MM pozostaje nieuleczalną chorobą o bardzo heterogennym przebiegu i zróżnicowanym rokowaniu. Istnieje grupa pacjentów, których przeżycie sięga ponad 10 lat, a równocześnie wielu chorych nie osiąga nigdy dobrej odpowiedzi na leczenie i żyje krócej niż 3 lata. Aktualnie stosowana klasyfikacja R-ISS (ang. Revised International Scoring System) uwzględnia del(17p), t(4;14) i t(14;16) jako negatywne czynniki ryzyka. Według ostatnich zaleceń Międzynarodowej Grupy Szpiczakowej (ang. International Myeloma Working Group – IMWG) do zmian wysokiego ryzyka należą t(4;14), t(14;16), t(14;20), del(17p), amp(1q) i równoznaczna z nią del(1p) oraz hipodiploidia. W poniższym artykule przedstawiono definicję wysokiego ryzyka cytogenetycznego w MM oraz wpływ nowych terapii na rokowanie i wyniki leczenia u chorych z tej grupy.

Single-System-Erkrankung mit Befall von einem Organsystem hat eine hervorragende Prognose, meist mit geringer Therapieintensität. Multisystemerkrankung mit Befall von Risikoorganen wie Leber, Milz, Lungen oder Knochenmark kann fatal verlaufen und wird mit systemischer Chemotherapie behandelt. Spätfolgen von Krankheitsmanifestationen umfassen Diabetes insipidus und andere Endokrinopathien, orthopädische Probleme, Lungen- /Leberfibrose oder neuropsychologische Probleme.Hämophagozytische Lymphohistiozytosen (HLH) sind reaktive und häufig tödlich verlaufende Erkrankungen und können durch einen Gendefekt, verschiedene Infektionen, rheumatische Erkrankungen oder Malignome verursacht sein. Es kommt zu einer abnormen ineffektiven Immunreaktion mit Aktivierung von Lymphozyten, Histiozyten und Hyperzytokinämie mit Fieber, Zytopenie, Hepatosplenomegalie, Hypertriglyzeridämie, niedrigem Fibrinogen, Hämophagozytose, Liquorpleozytose und niedriger NK-Zellaktivität. The adult mammalian central nervous system (CNS) is generally considered as repair restricted organ with limited capacities to regenerate lost cells and to successfully integrate them into damaged nerve tracts. Despite the presence of endogenous immature cell types that can be activated upon injury or in disease cell replacement generally remains insufficient, undirected, or lost cell types are not properly generated. This limitation also accounts for the myelin repair capacity that still constitutes the default regenerative activity at least in inflammatory demyelinating conditions. Ever since the discovery of endogenous neural stem cells (NSCs) residing within specific niches of the adult brain, as well as the description of procedures to either isolate and propagate or artificially induce NSCs from various origins ex vivo, the field has been rejuvenated. Various sources of NSCs have been investigated and applied in current neuropathological paradigms aiming at the replacement of lost cells and the restoration of functionality based on successful integration. Whereas directing and supporting stem cells residing in brain niches constitutes one possible approach many investigations addressed their potential upon transplantation. Given the heterogeneity of these studies related to the nature of grafted cells, the local CNS environment, and applied implantation procedures we here set out to review and compare their applied protocols in order to evaluate rate-limiting parameters. Based on our compilation, we conclude that in healthy CNS tissue region specific cues dominate cell fate decisions. However, although increasing evidence points to the capacity of transplanted NSCs to reflect the regenerative need of an injury environment, a still heterogenic picture emerges when analyzing transplantation outcomes in injury or disease models. These are likely due to methodological differences despite preserved injury environments. Based on this meta-analysis, we suggest future NSC transplantation experiments to be conducted in a more comparable way to previous studies and that subsequent analyses must emphasize regional heterogeneity such as accounting for differences in gray versus white matter.

Abstract:

The problem of the possibility of using digital image correlation to assess changes in the mechanical properties of a polymer composite with the addition of graphene (1% by weight) in the form of flakes was taken up in the paper. Samples for uniaxial tensile testing were produced by selective laser sintering from polyamide powder particles and multi-flake graphene. In the tests carried out using the three-camera system, a variable strain distribution was recorded in the heterogenic PA-G composite material. Maps developed in the evaluation process – in particular, tangential deformations – allowed to conclude the impact of axial load on PA-G behaviour in time in the area of the polymer matrix, graphene agglomerates, and their interfaces. The research showed that the digital image correlation technique is a perfect complement to traditional mechanical tests when determining the properties of new heterogeneous composites, in particular, polyamide-graphene composite. Real-time observation of changes in the material map allows for a detailed analyzes of complex micromechanical aspects.

Inclusive education is an expression of the educational system transformation and the transfer from focusing on adapting a pupil with special needs to school onto adapting teaching conditions to the pupul’s special needs. In this context, inclusive education is shown as a specific kind of intervening into the process of an individual’s socialisation having a double character of changes: in people, and in culture, which supports people’s development and building the inclusive society, in which people can experience unity in diversity. Cooperative learning is an educational strategy, which makes it possible to create a pro-inclusive social context and to develop pupills’ cognitive and social competencies necessary to function in a heterogenic community. The deliberations can be completed with the analysis of the selected factors conditioning cooperative learning in relation to pupils with disabilities and their non-disabled schoolmates. They are: (1) experience related to cooperation; (2) personal characteristics of pupils and (3) pupils’ preferences related to exercising task roles.

Abstract:

ZusammenfassungDie Langerhans-Zell-Histiozytose (LCH) ist eine seltene histiozytäre Erkrankung (Inzidenz: 0,2–2,0/100 000 Kinder unter 15 Jahren) mit einem sehr heterogenen klinischen Verlauf. Spontane Regressionen werden ebenso beobachtet wie chronische Reaktivierungen. Das klinische Spektrum reicht von einem isolierten Befall des Skeletts oder der Haut, bis hin zur ausgedehnten Multiorganerkrankung mit einem progredienten und lebensbedrohli-chen Verlauf. Das diagnostische und therapeutische Vorgehen konnte durch prospektive internationale Studien der Histiocyte Society standardisiert werden. Dies resultiert in einer Verbesserung von Heilungsrate und Prognose. Je nach Krankheitsausdehnung reicht die Behandlungsstrategie von einer abwartenden Haltung oder dem Einsatz einer lokalen/topischen Therapie bei monosystemischer LCH (single system LCH; SS-LCH) bis hin zur systemischen Chemotherapie bei multi-systemischer LCH (MS-LCH). Auch auf dem Gebiet der Grundlagenforschung konnten in den letzten Jahren große Fortschritte im Hinblick auf ein besseres Verständnis der Biologie und Pathogenese der Erkrankung erzielt werden. Die dabei gewonnenen Informationen werden als Grundlage für neue Therapieansätze dienen.

Abstract:

In the last years new methods of data acquisition and processing in geosciences, inspired by growing computer performance, have led to an increased amount of data, and this development will proceed surely. In this paper we present the conception and technical realization of an interdisciplinary research group's geodata management as a combination of a metadata catalog together with web mapping technology. Clearly related with the storage and retrieval of different datasets is the need of visualization. 3D visualization in geoscientific interpretation is a useful tool, if numerous, heterogenic datasets have to be visualized at the same time. Moreover, advanced sensing technology often generates native three-dimensional datasets. Using a case study from the Collaborative Research Centre “SFB 574”, we present the possibilities of our stereoscopic projection system and want to explain the benefit of 3D visualization for research in general and university education in particular, as low-cost systems become available nowadays.

Abstract The tendency of forming mixed carboxyl-to-oxime hydrogen bonds was tested on the series of bornane derivatives: one with the acid function only (bornane-2-endo-carboxylic acid), one with the oxime function (2,2′-diethylthiobomane-3-oxime), and one with both oxime and carboxylic functions (bornane-2-oxime-3-endo-carboxylic acid). The crystal structures of these compounds were determined by means of X-ray diffraction. In bornane-2-endo-carboxylic acid and 2,2′-diethylthiobornane-3-oxime 'homogenic' hydrogen bonds were found, and these hydrogen bonds close eight-and six-membered rings, respectively. By contrast, in bornane-2-oxime-3-endo-carboxylic acid 'heterogenic' hydrogen bonds between carboxylic and oxime bonds were found. This carboxylic-oxime, or 'carboxyoxime' system is almost always present in compounds which have both oxime and carboxylic groups; therefore it can be regarded as an element of supramolecular structures (synthon). The presence of such synthons can break the tendency of carboxylic acids and oximes towards crystallizing in centrosymmetric structures.

Abstract:

The sorption properties of modified hydrolysis lignin towards Cu[Formula: see text], Zn[Formula: see text], Ni[Formula: see text], Co[Formula: see text] ions in the pH range from 2 to 8 at temperature of 298.15 K solution are studied. The analysis of kinetic curves of ions sorption on modified lignin at pH 7 shows that sorption equilibrium in heterogenic system ion–metal–sorbent is attained in 30–60 min. Obtained results indicate good equilibrium kinetic properties of sorbent. Supposed that reaction between sorbate and functional group of sorbent are the second-order reaction and they interact between each other in ratio 1:1. The character of the obtained electrokinetic curve suggests that the zeta potential of modified lignin strongly depends on the pH. The dependencies of cations metals sorption coefficients on the pH value of water phase are S-shaped. Maximal extraction of studied cations is observed at pH values of equilibrium solutions close to neutral ones.

Abstract As researchers from different nationalities and disciplines collaborate in research projects with joint grants, science becomes more and more global. For conducting the research, project members from several different professional and national backgrounds work together on a daily basis using English as lingua franca (ELF). This results in a very heterogenic linguistic setting, influenced by several mother tongues and languages for specific purposes (LSPs). Systematic approaches have been neglected during the last years while LSP research moved more and more towards applied approaches working on concrete case studies. The present study follows an alternative approach. Applied linguistics and further development of systematic approaches shall here be seen as a circular flow. For instance, communication optimisation during a case study benefits from system-thinking and vice versa. How could the project language of a case study be structured and which long established classifications need to be revised based on these data? Is there a need for a new understanding of applied LSP research?

Zusammenfassung. Durch den Aufbau psychotherapeutischer Hochschulambulanzen an Universitätsinstituten ist in den letzten Jahren ein enormes Potenzial für die naturalistische Phase-IV-Therapieforschung entstanden. Viele Ambulanzen haben ein System zur kontinuierlichen Evaluation der Behandlungen eingeführt. Das methodische Vorgehen dabei ist jedoch heterogen und erscheint mehr von den lokalen Möglichkeiten als von übergeordneten wissenschaftlichen Überlegungen bestimmt. Dies betrifft die Organisation der Datenerhebung, die Definition des „Produkts Psychotherapie” sowie die Auswertung und Präsentation der Daten. Ein Vergleich zwischen den Ambulanzen und die Zusammenführung von Datensätzen zu ambulanzübergreifenden Analysen ist dadurch erschwert. In diesem Artikel wird daher ein Katalog von Methoden und Vorgehensweisen vorgeschlagen, die aufgrund mehrjähriger Erfahrungen an den Hochschulambulanzen Mainz und Münster entwickelt worden sind. Ziel ist ein möglichst hoher Qualitätsstandard für die Zusammenstellung von Stichproben und die Datenauswertung, der sich an den internationalen Standards randomisiert-kontrollierter Therapiestudien (RCTs) orientiert.
