Abstract:
We present a genome assembly from an individual female Heteropelma amictum (an ichneumonid wasp; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Ichneumonidae). The genome sequence is 226.4 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 20.65 kilobases in length.

Abstract:
The Ukrainian Anomaloninae fauna is relatively poorly known. The presence of large under-collected areas, such as the Carpathians, makes taxonomic and faunistic studies concerning these parasitoids from Ukraine urgently relevant. Based on our ongoing surveys on the Anomaloninae of the Ukrainian Carpathians, we report here the new distribution records for some species. In total 24 Anomaloninae species, belonging to 8 genera (<i>Anomalon</i> Panzer, 1804, <i>Agrypon</i> Förster, 1868, <i>Aphanistes</i> Förster, 1868, <i>Barylypa</i> Förster, 1868, <i>Heteropelma</i> Wesmael, 1849, <i>Perisphinct

List and identification key for the Anomaloninae of the French fauna, with the description of a new species of the genus Therion (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae). A list of the Anomaloninae wasps of France is drawn up: 15 genera and 62 species are recorded. Among these, 11 are mentioned for the first time in France: Agrypon brachycerum Hellén, A. hilare (Tosquinet), A. interstitiale Schnee, A. polyxenae (Szépligeti), two unknown species of the genus Agrypon, Barylypa rufa (Holmgren), Erigorgus annulitarsis (Thomson), one unknown species of the genus Erigorgus, Heteropelma grossator Shestakov and P

Abstract:
The adoption of transgenic (Bt) cotton varieties has markedly reduced feeding damage by noctuid pests, Helicoverpa armigera and H. punctigera, in Australian cotton crops. However, the potential for Bt resistance to evolve within these insect pests is a major concern. To reduce the likelihood of Bt resistance occurring, it is mandatory for growers of Bt cotton to also grow refuge crops which produce large numbers of Bt-susceptible moths. We present here findings from a series of field studies which sought to identify the relative Helicoverpa productivity of different refuge crop options. The ab

Abstract:
Heteropelta boboi is a new archosauriform reptile from the upper Anisian of northeastern Italy represented by a fragment of dorsal armor with a row of neural arches of the dorsal vertebrae. The dorsal armor of the new taxon is composed of two columns of paramedian osteoderms and at least six columns of lateral osteoderms. Unlike other armored archosaurs, the osteoderms are imbricated with the posterior osteoderm overlapping the anterior one. The low neural arches bear small neural spines and long postzygapophyses. The osteoderms of the lateral columns increase in size and change in shape from

Acrosternum heegeri Fieber, 1861 (Hemiptera: Heteropera: Pentatomidae: Pentatominae: Pentatomini), a Holomediterranean-Turanian shield bug species, is recorded for the first time from Hungary, representing the first known occurrence of the species in Central Europe. The species is illustrated, its geographic distribution is reviewed. The occurrence of A. heegeri in two localities in Budapest, regular records from one of the localities in the years 2015 and 2016, and the finding of an overwintering individual indicate the presence of a stable population in the city; the species is probably alre

The structure and cell types of the organs of Halobates hayanus from Libong Island, Thailand, were investigated using a histological method. The integumentary system of this species consists of three layers: epicuticle, exocuticle, and endocuticle. Throughout the body, the muscular system exclusively included skeletal muscle. In the excretory system, we found four fully formed Malpighian tubules, each one lined with a straightforward cuboidal epithelium harbouring secretory granules. The digestive system comprised a foregut, midgut, and hindgut. The midgut had three distinct cell types: basal
