Abstract:
Across the world, the search for new anti-cancer molecules remains one of the main concerns of oncology researchers. Also, plants have been at the origin of many active molecules having shown their effectiveness in the treatment of different cancers (MERGHOUB N., 2011). In Benin, traditional medicine, rich and diversified, is an important source for the screening of new therapeutic molecules. The aim of our study is to determine the apoptotic action of the ethyl extract of the leaves of Hexalobus monopetalus on cervical cancer in wistar rats. The total proteins were assayed to the spectrophoto

The overall objective of our study is to evaluate the toxicity of ethanolic extracts of Hexalobus monopetalus leaves on the liver and kidney functions of rats in its therapeutic use. Thus, an ethanolic extract of the leaves was made, then a phytochemical screening of this extract. On the one hand, acute toxicity was measured in a 14-day feeding trial in Wistar rats, and on the other hand, a histopathological study of the organs removed was performed. The phytochemical screens of the ethanolic extracts obtained showed the presence of several phytochemical groups with therapeutic activity. Acute

A wild fruit from classified forest of Dindéresso was analyzed for total phenolics, flavonoids, anthocyanins compounds using the Folin-Ciocalteu reagent, spectrophotometric method of Zhishen and colleagues and by the differential pH method respectively. Free radical-scavenging activities of studied fruits extracts were estimated using diammonium 2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate) salt method. Three major anthocyanins were identified using high performance liquid chromatography coupled with spray ionization interface mass spectrometry. Three identified anthocyanins in fruit wer

The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of the ethyl extract of dried leaves of Hexalobus monopetalus on protein metabolism in Wistar rats. After a phytochemical screening of extracts, total protein, urea, uric acid and creatinine were measured spectrophotometrically at six (06) sets of three (03) Wistar rats each. Batches 2 to 6 were given with orally administered respectively the daily doses of: 0.25 mg / kg, 0.5mg / kg, 1mg / kg, 1.5mg / kg and 2.5mg kg body weight of the extracts (for 14 days).
