Abstract:
From the perspectives of characterized data, calibrated TCAD simulations and compact modeling, we present a deeper investigation of the very high frequency behavior of state-of-the-art sub-THz silicon germanium heterojunction bipolar transistors (SiGe HBTs) fabricated with 55-nm BiCMOS process technology from STMicroelectronics. The TCAD simulation platform is appropriately calibrated with the measurements in order to aid the extraction of a few selected high-frequency (HF) parameters of the state-of-the-art compact model HICUM, which are otherwise difficult to extract from traditionally prepa

Abstract:
We developed a temporal population receptive field model to differentiate the neural and hemodynamic response functions (HRF) in the human lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN). The HRF in the human LGN is dominated by the richly vascularized hilum, a structure that serves as a point of entry for blood vessels entering the LGN and supplying the substrates of central vision. The location of the hilum along the ventral surface of the LGN and the resulting gradient in the amplitude of the HRF across the extent of the LGN have made it difficult to segment the human LGN into its more interesting magnoce

Abstract:
Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) in the range 900–1700 nm was performed to develop a classifying model for dead seeds of mung bean using single kernel measurements. The use of the combination of transmission-absorption spectra and reflection-absorption spectra was determined to yield a better classification performance (87.88%) than the use of only transmission-absorption spectra (81.31%). The effect of the orientation of the mung bean with respect to the light source on its absorbance was investigated. The results showed that hilum-down orientation exhibited the highest absorbance compared t

BACKGROUND: The negative result of a research does not always indicate failure, and when the data do not permit a proper conclusion, or are contrary to the initial project, should not simply be discarded and archived. AIM: To report failure after performing experimental model of liver ischemia and reperfusion normothermic, continuous or intermittent, in small animals aiming at the study of biochemical and histological parameters after postoperative recovery. METHODS: Fifteen Wistar rats were divided into three groups of five animals each; all underwent surgery, the abdomen was sutured after th
