In a backbone network (𝑈􀯡 ≥ 220 𝑘𝑣), when the high-voltage lines are loaded with power less than natural power, we have excess reactive power. Supplying this power into the lower-voltage networks (𝑈􀯡 ≤ 110 𝑘𝑣) would be technically and economically unfeasible and requires compensation on site. In the article, in accordance with the electricity quality criterion, and taking into account the principle of a systemic approach, and using the self- and mutually reactive impedances of the network junction points, a mathematical model for selecting a compensating device in a backbone network is adopted

The electricity supply in Nigeria is usually associated with voltage fluctuation that causes damage to connected loads. In this study, implementation of a 220V AC overload and high voltage monitor alert system with auto shutdown was carried out using an ATMega328p microcontroller. The circuit was simulated in Proteus Ver8.12 using Arduino software with C++ programing language. A prototype was constructed on a Vero board and tested for continuity and power ON. Performance analysis with 50 trials (25- high voltage, 25- overload) was used to calculate sensitivity and accuracy. Result shows good c

All electrical energy is produced, transmitted and distributed at high voltages. In this case, the measurement of the amount of electricity is carried out by electricity meters together with voltage transformers (VTs). The largest capacities are transmitted and distributed on power transmission lines of voltage of class 750 kV. In Ukraine there are about two hundred measuring VTs of class 750 kV. In addition, power facilities have been actively built recently, which will also require the installation of 750 kV transformers. The produced electrical energy from these natural sources will be given to consumers after going through a lot of conversion stages. So losses mostly occur in these conversion stages. In this paper the four existing converters CUK, SEPIC, Self-lift CUK and Self-lift SEPIC performances are separately compared and analyzed with each other. Abstract With the increase in the demand for electricity the improvement of the distribution system also starts to get special attention. Electricity is transferred over long distances; thus, the distribution related losses should be minimized. Conventional high-voltage alumina insulators have proven their efficiency over the past decades. To prevent the build-up of a conductive surface layer from dust and humidity, glazes are applied to these insulators. These glazes are amorphous, colored, and provide protection to the insulator body. The preparation glass-ceramic glazes requires mixing of i
