Very few studies of non-axisymmetric endwall profiling in compressor have been conducted in published literatures. This study investigates the control mechanism of non-axisymmetric endwall on the flow field of a highly loaded compressor cascade and the guidelines for the design of non-axisymmetric endwall. First, CFD method was validated with existing experimental data. Then, the design method of non-axisymmetric endwall based on trigonometric function and Bezier curve was introduced. Abstract The kinetics of oxidation of aromatic anils to benzaldehyde and azobenzene by magnesium monoperoxyphthalate (MMPP) has been studied in aqueous acetic acid medium. The low dielectric constant of the medium facilitates the reactivity. It has been found that ionic strength of the reaction has no significant effect on rate. The added acrylonitrile has no effect on the reaction rate indicating the absence of free radical mechanism. The added Mn(II) decreases the rate of the reaction, which indicates the involvement of two-electron transfer. Highly negative ΔS# values indicate a structured

Abstract:
Abstract Twenty-nine thumb carpometacarpal (CMC) joints, divided into a control group (normal and minimally degenerated joints) and a degenerated group (moderately and severely degenerated joints), were used to quantify CMC curvature and congruence. The saddle-shaped surface of the degenerated trapezium was found to be more concave and less convex than that of the control trapezium, with the greatest differences occurring in high-load-bearing (HLB) regions of the trapezium. No analogous differences were found in the metacarpal. Moreover, the degenerated group demonstrated greater joint congrue
