The objective of the investigation is to determine the ethical-didactic teachings in the allegorical tales (fables) of "one thousand and one nights". This is a qualitative research conducted by content analysis method and data obtained by deductive analysis method. This study was conducted to investigate those stories that their main characters are animals. The leafhopper genus Cornicola Ohara & Hayashi, previously recorded from Japan, is recorded from China for the first time and a new species, C. maculatus Xu, Dietrich & Qin, sp. nov., is described and illustrated, including its color polymorphism. This genus has male genitalia and hind wing venation similar to those found in Empoascini but it is more appropriately placed in Dikraneurini. A key to species of Cornicola is given together with a key to the genera of Dikraneurini from China.
