Abstract:
The present article views Dalit conversion as a gradual process or bottom-up reassessment strategy for a democratic environment assumed to provide a space to challenge the social structure of the Hindu caste system. To theorise this, the article deploys Victor Turner’s concept of liminality and studies religious conversion as a transition, liminal process, or threshold that promises to bring change and alternation in the existing rigid structure. It aims to provide a nuanced understanding of how religious conversion functions as a space of both rupture and renewal in Dalit identity formation.

Her Thoreau is a prophet with a freshly thought-out message about how perpetual mourning drives the perpetual renewal of life, about the importance of disindividualizing, and about the persistence of life at its most basic and elemental level. In her two books, Maia Ramnath attempts to construct an antiauthoritarian/anarchist anti-colonialist politics through an analysis of India’s freedom struggle. Ramnath reconstructs a history of Indian anti-colonial movements from an anarchist perspective, while seeking to locate forgotten possibilities such as the ‘libertarian Marxism’ of the Ghadar party and its successors. Haj to Utopia is an important addition to the literature on early communism in India inasmuch as it allows us to revisit said history in India in a renewed and critical manner. Kinetic energy is considered as one of the renewable energies. Substantial amounts of researches were conducted to investigate the feasibility of converting the kinetic energy into electricity. Nevertheless, most of these previous works emphasized on the selection of suitable materials and the design of power generator which tends to be complicated. In this paper, a simple and yet low cost mechanism has been proposed to enhance the performance and efficiency of energy conversion from kinetic energy to electricity energy by placing a mechanical footstep power generator on the hind foot region.
