Abstract:
The Great East Japan Earthquake and the ensuing tsunami and nuclear accident at Fukushima Daiichi displaced more than 340,000 people. Four years later, more than 70,000 people were still living in temporary housing. This article summarizes findings from a series of structured interviews with people from Hirono Town that were still living in temporary housing four and a half years after the triple catastrophe. The interviews sought to understand why people were still in temporary housing, rather than moving back to Hirono Town (as many had) or on to more permanent arrangements in other location

Nursing is a mentally and physically demanding job and the industry is particularly strained in Japan. Assistant Professor Hiroko Kitajima, Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health, Medical and Welfare Saitama Prefectural University, Japan, believes improving nurses' time management skills would be beneficial for the work-life balance and mental health of nurses, as well as patient care. Kitajima is filling a research gap with her work as there is a lack of research on the leadership ability of work zone leaders, aka non-titled nurses that assume responsibility. Background:Denosumab, a fully human monoclonal antibody to receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B ligand, which inhibits osteoclast differentiation, activation and survival, not only increases bone mineral density but also inhibits the progression of bone erosion in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)1-3). Therefore, denosumab have been preferably prescribed for patients with RA recently. The persistence with denosumab, which is administered subcutaneously once every 6 months, was reported higher than with oral bisphosphonates4), and in the prospective cohort studies, the persistence

Background:Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disorder that contributes to accelerating frailty, a clinical state of increased vulnerability due to declined physiological function. Although accumulating evidence suggests the importance of nutritional therapy for frailty in the general population, there is little evidence on dietary recommendations for preventing frailty in patients with RA.Objectives:The present study aimed to reveal clinical associations between frailty status, eating habits and RA disease activity. Methods:We conducted a cross-sectional study of 306 female ou

BackgroundRecurring cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) remains an area of high unmet medical need. While anti-PD-1 antibodies are now approved for this diagnosis, more than half the patients will need more effective treatments, supporting the development of new or combination regimens. Weekly cetuximab targets EGFR and has anti-tumor immunogenic properties that could complement anti-PD-1 immunotherapy. Cetuximab is being evaluated in combination clinical trials. Panitumumab also targets EGFR but is felt to function as a signal transduction inhibitor with weaker anti-tumor immunogenic prop

In July 2016, however, rock shells were again found to inhabit the area. From April 2017 to May 2019, we collected rock shell specimens monthly at two sites near the FDNPP (Okuma and Tomioka) and at a reference site ~ 120 km south of
