Abstract:
We report a case report of lupus vulgaris (LV) presented on the extremities of an 80-year-old man. He was misdiagnosed as having psoriasis and referred to our department for a second-opinion evaluation. The discrepancy between the clinical manifestation which was misleading and the dermatoscopic findings raised the suspicion of an underlying granulomatous disease and we proceeded to skin biopsy. The histopathologic examination set the diagnosis of LV.

Abstract:
Lichen aureus is a rare variant of pigmented purpura, with a chronic and benign course. It is generally asymptomatic and often occurs in the lower limbs, presenting as erythematous brownish, coppery or golden macules and/or papules. The diagnosis is based on clinical and histopathological findings. The dermatoscopic pattern has been considered a useful tool in diagnosis presumption. We describe a case with a confluent morphological pattern, called agminate lichen aureus.

Summary HPV infection is involved in the etiology of a number of nonmalignant, premalignant and malignant cutaneous lesions. One of them is the so-called giant condyloma of Buschke-Löwenstein type (Buschke-Löwenstein tumor, BLT), which sometimes can imitate clinically other tumors or tumor-like conditions. Clinicians face a particular challenge in cases of BLT where, clinically, the lesions demonstrate a permanent brown hyperpigmentation in parallel with the dermatoscopic lack of the characteristic melanocytic network, globules or regression zones. There are uncommon clinical presentations wit

Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Melanoma in situ (MIS) is the very early stage of a skin tumor called melanoma. In recent decades, the incidence rate for melanoma has increased by 2.6%/year and MIS is the main diagnosis responsible for this increase. It is important to recognize MIS since in this phase (called the intraepidermal phase), cancer cells do not have the opportunity to spread anywhere in the body. The use of dermoscopy has contributed to the early diagnosis of melanoma. The most common dermoscopic features of melanoma are multiple structures and colors (multicomponent pattern), an atypical reticular pa

INTRODUCTION: Although melanoma is rare in children, parental concern about skin lesions often results in specialist referral and/or excision of benign lesions. AIM: To review dermatology referrals of children with skin lesions to determine reason for referral, macroscopic and dermatoscopic features of referred lesions, diagnosis, management and histology for excised lesions. METHODS: Referral letters, clinical and dermatoscopic images and outcomes were reviewed for skin lesions in children aged 0–18 years attending a teledermoscopy clinic over a 28-month period. RESULTS: Eighty-nine children
