Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att analysera debatter om invandrings- och flyktingpolitik i Sveriges riksdag mellan åren 1965 och 1993 för att synliggöra vilka svårigheter och möjligheter de olika riksdagspartierna såg med invandring och flyktingar. Vidare ville jag även bidra med empiri i frågan om när svensk flyktingpolitik började gå mot en mer restriktiv riktning. Metoden som har använts i undersökningen av källmaterialet är en kombination av argumentationsanalys och kvalitativ textanalys.
