Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to explore historical reconstruction as a resource for event tourism in Ukraine. Scholarly views on the concept of event tourism, as well as its intangible resource – historical reconstruction are revealed. The research methodology is to apply methods of observation and comparison, analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization, specific search and logical methods, a reflection of one’s own practical experience. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time the historical reconstruction in Ukraine is studied in the context of the event tourism resource. Thematic classification of historical reconstruction clubs in Ukraine has been carried out. Conclusions. The current status of historical reconstruction in Ukraine allows us to ascertain the presence of sufficient intangible (cultural-historical, historicaldemographic), as well as material (infrastructural) resources for their effective use in the formation of national event tourism. The main intangible resources of historical and cultural-oriented event tourism in Ukraine are historical reconstruction clubs, as well as events created by members of these clubs. The activities of historical reconstruction clubs form a subculture, which can also be considered as a resource for this type of tourism. The results of the study are of practical importance, which consists in the possibility of using intangible historical and cultural resources in the practice of tourism activities, which will improve the quality of the tour product, diversify its content and form, raise its level of attractiveness, and, consequently, increase tourist flows within the boundaries of event tourism.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Human habitation in Cook Inlet first occurred around 5,000 BC. Cook Inlet is a large tidal estuary that varies from 78 miles wide at its southern mouth to less than 9 miles at its northern extremity. The first inhabitants were Eskimo, who were later displaced by the Athabaskan Dena'ina people. The Athabaskan Dena'ina people were called “Kenaitze” by the Russian fur traders who first made contact in 1741. At that time, an estimated 1,000 Dena'ina inhabited the Kenai River area alone. European contact with the Athabaskan Dena'ina first occurred about 1756. In 1778, Captain Cook sailed Cook Inlet looking for the Northwest Passage. A Russian trading post was established in Kenai in 1791. The relatively mild winters of Cook Inlet and abundance of wildlife both onshore and offshore made human habitation very viable. Consequently, its shoreline is literally filled with historical and cultural sites. Other villages or cities of note within Cook Inlet include Anchorage, Tyonek, Ninilchik, Homer, Seldovia and Port Graham, many of whom continue to maintain a subsistence lifestyle. Cook Inlet Spill Prevention & Response, Inc. (CISPRI) provides oil spill response for the entire Cook Inlet;, a pristine piece of south-central Alaska with over 1300 miles of shoreline. A significant potential problem identified with oil spill recovery efforts involves the identification and protection of sensitive historical and cultural sites. To lessen any potential impact to these areas, CISPRI, in conjunction with Alaska Clean Seas, SERVS, Alaska Chadux and SEAPRO, have produced an 8 minute video tape demonstrating how to identify potential sensitive areas. It then directs appropriate actions to take until experts can be consulted to further direct methods of lessening impact. The narrative was developed by a local expert in cultural resources, and representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard, Alaska State Historic Preservation Office, and native organizations who represented their individual concerns. The video tape has been well-received by CISPRT's member companies and agencies and has been recognized as a good “get acquainted” tool for anyone involved in protecting cultural and historic resources during spill response.

Abstract:
Water has always been a critical resource for humans and climate change could aggravate supply problems. In this context, groundwater could be an important reservoir of water, especially given the dispersion of places where it can be obtained and the widespread occurrence of surface marks (springs). Historically, places where groundwater is available have been marked by humans using built structures, with stone materials having a major role. These cultural objects tend to become a part of the collective memory and the historical record (when available) and frequently they stay on the original site along time (hence “marking a spot” for groundwater). However, the development of major water supply structures, especially in the 20th century, promoted the negligence of these ancient water sources. We present a general defense of the importance of recording and preserving cultural stone related to water sources, preferably in the original sites. Conservation of groundwater-related structures could help in the future exploration of this geological resource and converge with historical information on the fountains’ discharge, with geological studies of the terrains and geochemical features of the groundwaters involved, in order to characterize the hydrogeological systems and their potential future use (including the preservation of water quality and properties). These studies could promote a synergetic conservation of both heritage and water.

Abstract:
This study quantitatively analyzed the spatial characteristics of 3425 historical and cultural resources across the Chungcheong region of South Korea and proposed strategies for regional revitalization. Each asset was evaluated on a five-point scale, and spatial patterns were examined using kernel density estimation (KDE), Moran’s I, and Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA). The results show that the historical and cultural resources in the Chungcheong region form significant clusters, particularly in areas such as Boryeong, Seosan, Gongju, and Buyeo, which were historically associated with administrative, Confucian, and Buddhist functions. A Moran’s I value of 0.272 was obtained, indicating statistically significant spatial autocorrelation, and the LISA analysis identified “high–high” clusters as key zones with concentrated high-value assets. This study also revealed mismatches between designated cultural properties and areas with high-value but unrecognized resources, emphasizing the need for more inclusive heritage policies. These findings suggest that historical resources should be understood not as isolated sites, but as interconnected cultural landscapes. This research supports the development of tailored, place-based urban regeneration strategies that leverage cultural heritage as a foundation for sustainable regional identity and growth.

AbstractLegacy documentation, the accumulated historical knowledge about an archaeological site, must be reviewed in order to locate data on the condition of archaeological features and architecture proposed to be related to astronomical observances. This type of documentation can be located in museums, research libraries, colleges or universities, national public institutions and increasingly in digitized collections available on the internet. Locating and using legacy documentation is more than a simple review of literature. It is an integral part of the process of architectural documentation. The method of architectural documentation involves detailed site proveniencing, obtaining summary data for study units, and detailed descriptions of feature conditions (Nordby et al. 2002). Case studies present the impact of legacy documentation when evaluating the original condition of astronomically associated architecture or features.

Abstract:
In the context of territorial spatial planning, it is crucial to construct historical and cultural protection pattern and charm spatial pattern. In this paper, Rikaze City is selected as the research object, and the index evaluation system is constructed based on Rikaze's own ecological landscape resources, historical and cultural resources and tourism resources, and the evaluation results are applied to the construction of historical and cultural protection pattern and charm space protection and utilization pattern in the overall planning of national land space. The results show that the areas with higher quantitative scores of historical and cultural resources in Shigatse City are relatively patchy and have a strong correlation with the direction of historical routes. The areas with higher quantitative scores of natural elements are highly coupled with the distribution of nature reserves, and the areas with higher comprehensive scores of charismatic resources in the city area are characterized by piecewise and linear agglomeration and superposition. It is recommended to construct a regional historical and cultural protection pattern of “one corridor, two cities, six pieces and multiple points” and a spatial development pattern of “one corridor, four lines, five districts and multiple poles and cores”, which will be used to lead the city's historical and cultural protection and guide the development of tourism.

Abstract:
Abstract This essay aims to adumbrate the relationship between ordinary language, history, and cognition in Joseph Margolis’ pragmatist account of the historical constitution of the human, cultural world. It emphasizes the important connections between his arguments for the essentially practical grounding of all forms of cognitive activity; the existential primacy of the historically evolved ordinary language in the formation of aptly socialized human persons as well as of productively functioning human societies; the transformational role of consciousness in history, including the history of cognition; and the insuperable informality inherent in all philosophical attempts to justify our historically articulated norms of cognition and our way of life. Margolis’ analysis of these relationships claims to show that cultural tolerance and historical plasticity deserve to displace the philosophical ideas of invariance and fixity as the favored resources of conceptual and social stability. This recognition, on Margolis’s view, constitutes pragmatism’s distinctive promise and advantage.

We define philanthropy as voluntary giving by households or corporate bodies to promote charitable causes, projects, and organizations or, alternatively, as “voluntary action for the public good.” Entrepreneurial philanthropy refers specifically to “the pursuit by entrepreneurs on a not-for-profit basis of big social objectives through active investment of their economic, cultural, social and symbolic resources.” Government projects financed by taxation and interfamily resource transfers are never philanthropic. Gifts only qualify as philanthropic when the donor is under no compulsion to give, when the gift benefits people with whom the donor is not directly connected, when the gift is made from the donor's own resources, and when the donor receives no direct economic benefit as a consequence of making the gift. In other words, philanthropists invest their own resources in causes they believe will benefit others and that yield no direct benefit to themselves or their families.

Abstract:
The management of historic buildings is achieved through several types of interventions. The interventions are established in relation to the degree of protection through the List of Historical Monuments, or through its intrinsic value mentioned by the preliminary studies. In principle, within a historical area, cultural values can be exceptional, high, medium and null. Safeguarding historic areas is considered fundamental to the local culture of each settlement. The patrimony of a community represents the accumulation of experiences, of crafts and arts, of its development. Heritage is the legacy left to future generations. Therefore, any intervention in a protected area must be subject to the rules for the protection of the original substance and valuable compositional elements. Another important goal is focused on managing the concept of built value. Thus, it must be borne in mind that any cultural objective must be doubled by a certain value of use. Any space that requires preservation will be better maintained if used. Consequently, the management of cultural value, involves the management of functions, strategies for establishing development directions. This balance can be ensured through intervention regulations that can provide for permitted, conditional and prohibited uses. In the article we present the ways in which interventions on historical monuments can be managed. The main professional concepts must be supported by effective urban instruments, implemented at administrative level. We also aim to present possible strategies for attracting investors and promoting architectural heritage resources. The balance of decisions, the process from the study of cultural value, to the implementation of the intervention categories and to the realization of the projects represent the main focus of the study. Our conclusions will be based on the project made for the protection and restoration of the historical center of Craiova.

Monitoring cultural resources in parks and protected areas is greatly enhanced using Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR). For this example, a pilot inventory of cultural resources is illustrated for the United States National Park Service lands that protect the Appalachian Trail in Massachusetts. In Massachusetts, the trail stretches 145.2 kilometers (90.2 miles) and is protected by nearly 2052 hectares (5070 acres) of land. To aid in the resource monitoring, these remote sensing data are corroborated with historic records to identify the historical archaeological resources in the corridor. The inventory are then added to existing management plans to help protect the national park with a more complete understanding of the historical human impacts in the backcountry of New England.

Abstract:
In today’s knowledge economy era, culture, as an intangible resource and convertible capital, has become an important characteristic of cultural development and economic transformation not only in our country but also worldwide. It is well known that Shandong, known as the “hometown of Confucius and Mencius”, possesses unique historical and cultural resources and has a good foundation for creative transformation and innovative development. Can the traditional cultural resources of Shandong province be converted into cultural capital to promote local economic development of high quality? If so, how should the capitalization path be implemented? Through analyzing and demonstrating the above-mentioned issues, this study proposes three driving modes for the capitalization of traditional cultural resources in Shandong Province. Additionally, a “Path Model for the Capitalization of Traditional Cultural Resources” is constructed based on mechanisms, creativity, and market-oriented combinations. Furthermore, policy recommendations are put forward to effectively promote the transformation of traditional cultural resource advantages into capital advantages and further into economic development advantages in Shandong Province.

Abstract:
Many cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Ilijas, are missing the opportunity to earn tourism income, precisely because they do not have the planned promotion of their cultural and historical heritage. Cultural and historical monuments get a real social and tourist value only when involved in tourist movements and when they become accessible to tourists who plan to travel because of them. In this way, cultural and historical monuments exist not only as a source and object of knowledge but also as an indicator of the cultural level of the population and the country as a whole. The subject of this study is the possibility of incorporating the cultural and historical heritage, primarily the Medieval City of Dubrovnik and the necropolis of the tombstones of Koposici, into regional tourist flows with the aim of economic strengthening of the municipality of Ilijas through the tourism development and improvement of promotion of tourist resources and services of the mentioned municipality. The aim of this paper is to analyze the cultural tourist resources of the municipality of Ilijas and their delimitation in the development of tourism of the mentioned municipality. In the delimitation of tourism resources, geographic tourist and economic concepts of valorisation are used, based on which the dominant tourist resources are separated.

Abstract:
Under the influence of globalization, multilingualism has become the way of social communication. Linguistic landscape in public space is complex and diverse with blurred boundary of languages. The interaction of multimodality and languages increase complexity of linguistic landscape. From the perspective of translanguaging, language practice on linguistic landscape not only transcends individual languages, but also goes beyond words, involving diverse semiotic resources. Through application of the concept of translanguaging, we can explore how different linguistic forms, signs and modalities co-occur to express meaning. Linguistic landscape in historical and cultural streets is an important window of the identity of the city. The linguistic landscape of historical and cultural streets shows a common diversity of language, culture and identity, reflecting obscure boundary of languages. The multilingual hybridity implies the conflicting and complex negotiation of multiple identity in the new stage of seeking for local development under economic globalization and urbanization. It is worth analyzing how the linguistic landscape of historical and cultural streets transcends semantic resources of different languages, varieties and multimodality to build a local identity.

Abstract:
Cultural and historical recreational resources (along with natural ones) are the basis for the formation of tourist and recreational potential and an integral element of tourist and recreational systems. There are different approaches to the assessment of cultural and historical resources as an element of the tourist service management. In the absence of a unified methodology, these approaches are often based on the evaluation of both quantitative and qualitative indicators of sites. The practical part of the presented study deals with the assessment the tourist-recreational potential of the Krasnodar region in terms of cultural and historical sites located therein. The territory of the region as a whole demonstrates rich potential, while the distribution of cultural and historical resources is characterized by heterogeneity. The main focus of the study is on the region’s most developed tourist and recreational areas where cultural and historical sites of various types are concentrated: the Caucasian-Black Sea area, North-Caucasian, Mountain-Caucasian, and Azov ones. The paper analyzes how much these territories are saturated with cultural and historical sites of federal, regional and local significance, calculates the density of the sites, and studies the possibility of using those. Based on the research findings, cartographic schemes were compiled. The main result of the study is the application of the authors’score and factor methodology in assessing cultural and historical sites, which confirmed the leading positions of the Black Sea coastal resorts (Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, and Sochi) and the regional center Krasnodar in the ranking of tourist and recreational centers of the region.
