Chinese and Russian literature are historically closely connected. In the 1760s, Chinese literary works began to spread in Russia, and in the second half of the 19th century, the first translations of Russian works appeared in China. Through the analysis of historical facts and the process of real development, this article presents the characteristics of intercultural communication between Chinese and Russian literature in the context of world literature from two aspects: common literary and aesthetic consciousness and regional literature as a factual carrier of social development.

Abstract Low salinity waterflooding has been an area of great interest for researchers for almost over three decades for its perceived "simplicity," cost-effectiveness, and the potential benefits it offers over the other enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques. There have been numerous laboratory studies to study the effect of injection water salinity on oil recovery, but there are only a few cases reported worldwide where low salinity water flooding (LSW) has been implemented on a field scale. In this paper, we have summarized the results of our analyses for some of those successful field case

The aim of the article is to comprehensively study the place and role of historical local studies in the system of historical education of general educational institutions in Ukraine. Being a component of national education, historical local studies contributes to the revival of regional traditions and nation’s consolidation. Nowadays historical local studies in Ukraine has become a powerful means of the Ukrainians’ national self-awareness awakening, their national-historical memory, without which the process of establishing independent Ukrainian statehood would be impossible.

This paper studies the long-run effects of concertaje, a forced labor system from the Spanish colonial era in Ecuador that coerced indigenous workers in rural estates after indebting them. I collected and digitized historical tax records (1800) and connected them to contemporary ones (2010s) via surnames. Employing a TS2SLS approach, I find that a 10 percentage point (pp) increase in a surname's concertaje rate reduces the current formal income of (pseudo) descendants by 1.7%. On a regional scale, I establish a causal relationship by leveraging variations in concertaje intensity due to differe

For each case study, it explores the historical origins and current state of these partnerships, the different forms they can take, and the objectives and challenges they seek to address. By zooming in on critical policy areas of each relationship and the role of EU Member States therein, the paper sheds light on the horizontal and vertical coherence of the EU’s external action. By analyzing historical trajectories, policy frameworks (e.g., Erasmus+), and case studies from Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and Eastern Europe, we argue that achieving 50% intra-EU student mobility by 2035 could counteract nationalist fragmentation, address labor shortages, and catalyze innovation. This paper studies the allocation of total disaster risk reduction public spending among regions in Peru. The main objective of this work is to identify the main determinants of the distribution of these resources, and for this purpose an index of historical physical impacts of natural disasters, social vulnerability, and institutional capacity was created. It is found that historical impacts of climatological disasters are positively correlated with the per capita amount received by region in order to prevent future natural disasters.
