Článek se zabývá stavem historického bádání v Československu (České republice) po roce 1989, v komparativní regionální perspektivě. První část textu pojednává fenomén relativního opoždění české diskuse o dopadech komunistického režimu na historiografii. Abstract:

Dieser Artikel fragt nach der Art und Weise, wie in der Sozialen Arbeit auf Vergangenheit zugegriffen wird und unterscheidet dabei zwischen Historiografie und Erinnern. Dem Artikel liegt die These zugrunde, dass in der Sozialen Arbeit beides miteinander vermischt wird und zeigt dies exemplarisch an einer Beschreibung Alice Salomons (Soziale Arbeit 3/2022). Abschließend skizziert der Artikel, welche anderen Möglichkeiten es gibt, mit der Vergangenheit Sozialer Arbeit umzugehen.

Autor razmatra složeno pitanje odnosa kategorija "kolektivno pamćenje" i "profesionalna (akademska) historiografija" u suvremenim hrvatskim okvirima, ukazujući na negativni utjecaj što ga je na ovu drugu kategoriju imao razvijeni ideološki kompleks u socijalističkoj Jugoslaviji.
