Abstract:
An overview is given of the development of the history of the book in the Soviet period from the 1950s to the 1980s. The activities of the main representatives of the Moscow and Leningrad (St. Petersburg) schools are analysed. The main directions of these schools are highlighted. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of the development of the history of books and book publishing.

Abstract:
В статье изложены результаты искусствоведческого исследования, связанного с проектом благоустройства сада Николаевского сиротского института, датированным 1890 г. Проект, составленный архитектором Н. Н. Ковригиным, представляет собой детальный чертеж деревянной галереи в окружении прилегающих к ней зданий и аллей. Данный документ помог установить авторство проекта, рассчитать реальные габариты и выделить особенности стилистического решения деревянной галереи.
