The incorporation of Si1-xGex alloy heterostructures into conventional Si processes has been proposed as a means of improving the operating frequency and overall performance of Si field effect transistors. One parameter expected to benefit from this approach is the hole mobility, which would have important implications for high speed CMOS applications. Measured values of the hole mobility, however, have failed to live up to early expectations, and much ongoing research is directed at understanding whether this is an intrinsic limitation (e.g. due to alloy disorder scattering), or due to imperf

Abstract:
Organic semiconductors are a new key technology for large-area and flexible thin-film electronics. They are deposited as thin films (sub-nanometer to micrometer) on large-area substrates. The technologically most advanced applications are organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic photovoltaics (OPV). For the improvement of performance and efficiency, correct modeling of the electronic processes in the devices is essential. Reliable characterization and validation of the electronic properties of the materials is simultaneously required for the successful optimization of devices. Further

98
Sb-based materials are considered to be high potential for high-speed logic and digital electronics due to their highest electron and hole mobilities among all III-V compounds. Added by their low-power consumption, complementary circuit devices can thus be realized using the amterials system. Type-I band- aligned InGaSb/AlSb two-dimensional hole gases are an excellent candidate for developing heterojunction field-effect transistors considering good hole confinement and compressive stress status, which make feasible further enhancement of hole transport properti
