The article is devoted to the peculiarities of functioning of the household service on the material of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) which is the largest international hotel chain by number of rooms; in particular they examine the Holiday Inn Express Rolling Meadows, USA, and the hotel “ Vostok” located in Tyumen, Russian Federation. They examine the standard of housekeeping, cleaning technology and the order of service. The author characterizes timing parameters for the service and the number of personnel involved in the service. They say about the service stages of rooms. The completeness of the house cleaner carts characterize on the material of Holiday Inn Express Rolling Meadows. It can have: the cleaner, the laundry bag, trash bag, broom, and dustpan, chemicals, funds for a complete bathroom, linen, towels, bathrobes, kitchenette, dry cloth for cleaning bathrooms, sponge, brush, plunger, bucket, notepads and pens. They examine its movement when cleaning room stock. The article proposes speech clichés and communicative strategies used by the house cleaner while cleaning the rooms (in particular, the phrase on the plates’ clean rooms). The author makes the conclusion that clean technologies in the hotel Vostok and the Holiday Inn, despite the absence of unified standards, have many things in common. Even if there are differences in the process of cleaning (for example, a cart in the hotel Vostok is less than in the Holiday Inn Express Rolling Meadows), they are based on rational conditions (there are special rooms for maids in the hotel to fill the cart). Generally, the author notices the importance of the house cleaner in the functioning of a household service, because the cleanliness of the room, and thus profits of the hotel depends on this profession.

Abstract:
The article, written on the basis of material in the Arkhangelsk dialects, is devoted to the “new” holidays that appeared (the October, the Victory Day, the May Day) or acquired significance (the New Year) in the Russian North in the Soviet period. Their dialect names are described, with special attention paid to the manner in which dialects adapted official names (for example, the Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution became October). In addition, the ceremonial content of the holidays of the Soviet era (the preparation and use of special festive foods and drinks, the preparation of the house for the holiday, including its cleaning and decoration, the tradition of gost’ba, or visiting relatives in the holidays) are analysed. Further, the study considers the beginnings of omens and regulations, mainly related to the agrarian labour cycle (start and end of field work) and changes in nature (ice drift and river-freezing, or rekostav). These began to take shape around the most important “new” holidays — Oktyábr’skaya (October) and Pervomai (May Day). Also discussed is the interaction of the Soviet holidays with holidays on the church calendar that were near in time (May Day — Passover, New Year — Christmas) and agrarian-labour holidays marking the completion of seasonal field work (Oktyábr’skaya — sowing (obsevnaia).

Abstract:
Iran also called as Persia, with the area of almost 1.5 million square meters, and a population of more than 75 million people, with the civilization dating back to almost 5000 years ago, with a long history in Art and Architecture, has been experiencing rapid social and historical changes during the time, From secular modernism to traditionalized transitions. Various changes in many fields within time have been a key factor for influencing the social and daily life of the people. In other words, History of architecture in Iran has been clearly reflecting sociocultural aspects of people’s life. There used to be an apparent harmony and balance between the cultural needs of people and the diagrammatic features and spatial arrangements of architecture. Despite all these remarkably valuable characteristics, the contemporary architecture of Iran has been recently walking on the edge line, meaning that it is losing the connection to its unique context. ‘Moving out of the box’ is a study aiming to Design one holiday house according to sociocultural needs of one Iranian family and also an approach for the reestablishment of some local and traditional architectural features.

Abstract:
To have a second home, a country house, a summer cottage has been a part of Swedish culture for a long period of time. This report examines the phenomenon of leisure, cottages and cottage areas in a historical pretext. From being a benefit for those who are most well-off financially it became more and more common among ordinary people during the time of the twentieth century. How relevant the division between first and second homes are today, the different rules when it comes to construction, insulation and availability is discussed. The needs of our time are investigated and results in a draft for development of a property. A place close to Stockholm is selected. The ground is used as a basis for further development to a leisure area. Roads, joint facilities and houses are being planned close to a lake in the region Södermanland. The focus lies primarily on creating an area with buildings of durability and sustainability. The territory and the living areas are meant to offer recovery and recreation close to nature.

Abstract:
Purpose: Vacation house,a part of Sweden ́s history that decreases annually, mainly because existing vacation houses are being extended and permanented and few new ones are being built. One reason why many vacation houses are permanented is that the detailed development plan for the area is insufficient or missing to maintain the area as a vacation house area. In addition to the detailed development plan there is other legislation that is followed at building permits. For vacations houses there is no regulation in the legislation which causes difficulties for building permit management for individuals and authorities. The aim of the survey is to gather material with the aim to establish a definition of vacation houses into the legislation. Method: The survey is conducted as a qualitative study with semi-structured interviews with nearby municipalities building permit departments, equal in size as Jönköping's municipality and with smaller municipalities. The material from the semi-structured interviews was compared and strengthened with document analysis from previous research. The document analysis has reviewed previous researches, studies, judiciary, books and detailed development plans. Findings: The result shows that a definition of vacation houses should be legislated in Plan- och bygglagen and can be applied by Boverket’s building regulations with a clearer explanation of vacation houses. To give municipalities common ground to emanate from to preserve the nature of vacations house areas. How the vacations house areas should be designed and how their design can be preserved is most suitable in the detail development plan. It is in the detail development plan the area of a vacation home can be limited. If the area of the vacation homes is limited, the survey show that it will result in that fewer vacation homes are permanentized as the conveniences which permanent homes require will not fit. Implications: The results of the survey can be used to give municipalities an understanding of how building permits of vacation houses ́ are currently handled by other municipalities. The study contributes with improvement proposals for detailed development plan in the municipality of Jönköping. The conclusion of the result is that a more comprehensive study should be conducted to include municipalities throughout Sweden to ultimately lead to a joint definition for vacation houses.Limitations: The result is based on interviews with six municipalities and document analysis. A more comprehensive survey can interview more municipalities throughout Sweden to obtain a more generalized result, as well as to include authorities such as county administrative boards and Boverket. In a more comprehensive survey, more methods can be used as observations for better understanding of building permit handling of vacation homes and surveys to be able to reach out to all municipalities in Sweden.

In December 1805, he was fêted at a dinner at the President’s House; by New Year’s Day, 1806, Mellimelni was acclaimed “the lion of the season” by socialite Margaret Bayard Smith. However, Mellimelni’s novelty soon wore off, and so did his welcome. As spring neared, the Tunisian Ambassador was still attracting attention—and animal analogies. But rather than a majestic lion, he was labeled instead “bestial” and “barbarous.”

Abstract:
English authorities were thankful almost beyond measure for the last-minute thwarting of the Gunpowder Plot. In place of the plotters’ planned explosion, throughout London bonfires were lit on November 5, 1605, to celebrate this escape from treason. In gratitude, Parliament in January passed a Fifth of November Act, decreeing that every November 5 henceforth should be celebrated as a holiday and day of thanksgiving, Attendance at special church services was mandated for the morning, while evenings centered on bonfires, often complete with fireworks mocking the failure of the explosion planned for the House of Lords. As a typical example, a few days after that first November 5 William Barlow, bishop of Rochester, gave a sermon comparing Guy Fawkes to Caligula and Nero.

Abstract:
Abstract: The program of the summer house will mark the acceptance period of modern architecture in Portugal. The modern life is put into practice by a group of architects to an enlightened bourgeoisie clientele, in some summer resorts that will start to be developed in the Portuguese coastline. The Existenzminimum, will be a German expression used throughout the twentieth century, particularly after the First World War, where the concerns of social nature and housing, for a large number of people will be important issues to be discussed by architects. Petit cabanon was Le Corbusier’s summer house in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. This small pavilion experienced new possibilities of living in minimum area, similar to the theories of the existenzminimum studied by Modern architects in the post-first world war period. New ways to dwell in minimum space are then reinterpreted in the early experiences of holiday houses in Portugal where a simple way of living started to be tested.
