Abstract:
Water security is one of the most pressing challenges for India’s cities, towns, and villages in the 21st century, especially in rapidly growing megacities like Bengaluru. This volume explores how the IIHS Kengeri Campus serves as a living laboratory for testing and implementing systemic water management solutions that address climate change, water scarcity, and pollution. Drawing on historical water-resilient city designs—from Hampi to Istanbul and New York—this book examines the shift from traditional water systems to centralized supply models and their consequences. It highlights how innova

Abstract:
Heat pumps are an excellent solution to supply heating and cooling for indoor space conditioning and domestic hot water production. Conventional heat pumps are typically electrically driven and operate with a vapour-compression thermodynamic cycle of refrigerant fluid to transfer heat from a cold source to a warmer sink. This mature technology is cost-effective and achieves appreciable coefficients of performance (COP). The heat pump market demand is driven up by the urge to improve the energy efficiency of building heating systems coupled with the increase of global cooling needs for air-cond

Abstract:
This report critically examines, for the first time, the capacity of Canada’s water sector with respect to meeting and helping other countries meet the water-related targets of the UN’s global sustainable development agenda. Several components of this capacity are examined, including water education and research, investment in water projects that Canada makes internally and externally, and experiences in water technology and governance. Analysis of the water education system suggests that there is a broad capability in institutions of higher learning in Canada to offer training in the diverse
