Nearly 70 years apart, two francophone authors, the Haitian Frédéric Marcelin (1848-1917) and the Congolese Sony Labou Tansi (1947-1995), published novels whose plot either entirely or partially calls upon the theme of vengeance, each featuring the same principal elements: women, dictators, champagne, poison, seduction and sex. In Marcelin’s La vengeance de Mama (1902, 1974), Zulma Corneille, nicknamed Mama, avenges the death of her fiancé, Épaminondas Labasterre, by making his murderer Télémaque drink poisoned champagne during an amourous rendez-vous; in Sony Labou Tansi’s La Vie et demie (1979), after seeing her entire family murdered by the Guide Providientiel de la Katamalanasie, Chaïdana, the daughter of the antagonist Martial, likewise uses poisoned champagne to kill off a number of the totalitarian country’s officials after having offered herself to them in the novel’s eponymous hotel. The goal of this article is to investigate what must be fortuitous similarities between these two novels, as it is unlikely that Labou Tansi would have read Marcelin. It aims to analyse the way in which vengeance is employed in the novels, notably the use of ruses and seduction as a means of enticing the victims.

This research is aimed to determine plants species in 3 hotels, by grouping them into rare plants, medicinal plants, water-saving plants and how to manage them. The sample was obtained by a simple random sampling technique on the entire starred hotels in Ubud. The hotels which are the object of research are the Four Seasons, Maya Ubud, and The Royal Pita Maha. Data collection is done by doing observation, literature study, document checking and interviews. The type of data used is quantitative and qualitative data with the types of data sources are primary and secondary. Data analysis which used in this study are descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this research in Four Seasons hotel are found 38 plants species from 24 families which 17 species grouped into rare / protected plants, 14 medicinal plants species and 15 water-saving plants species. Next, in the Maya Ubud hotel found 48 plants species from 27 families which grouped into 26 species of rare / protected plants, 15 medicinal plants species and 18 water-saving plants. The last, at The Royal Pita Maha hotel found 45 plants species from 24 families which grouped into 27 rare / protected plants species , 8 medicinal plants species and 21 water-saving plants. Plants management method of those hotels is loose ground, selecting superior seeds, cleaning weeds, using organic fertilizers, pest controlling, and arranging watering schedules.

With the aim of planning, testing, and measuring the feasibility of hotels in the city of Bandung. For example, the author planned this one of them at the Sheo Hotel, including the Condition of Buildings, Rooms, Guest Rooms, BaseCame, Hotel Pages, Regions and Land strength. So that the establishment of hotels can be relied upon, and become an attraction for guests who come to the Hotel. So that hotels in the city of Bandung become an inn, a meeting event, which can satisfy the visitors. Besides that it is a hotel that is included as a favorite, with its territory in a strategic area, and has the strength of a sturdy and attractive building. So there is no need to worry. Therefore, the author will describe the Hotel planning problem by conducting tests including taking Profometer, Hammer Test, and Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity. Abstract: Hotel is a commercial building and the success of its design has a very positive impact on increasing its selling value. Generally, hotel buildings in cities or city hotels are designed based on the form follow function theory so that the interior space is functioning optimally, but the shape of the square block buildings that occur tends to look monotonous. In order to make the visual appearance more attractive, through the strategy of transforming the mass composition of the hotel to be dynamic, there will be a consequence where the layout and furnishings of the existing interior may reduce the spatial comfort (space) for the user. Another thing that must be tested from a dynamic mass composition is its aesthetic value in terms of proportion and scale. As a research case study, Hotel U Janevalla was chosen in Jl. Aceh No. 65 Bandung. The analysis was carried out in a comparative way between case studies and theory, both in terms of qualitative and quantitative. The benefit value of this research is an insight into how the dynamic mass composition of hotels influences the aesthetic value and spatial comfort of users in the bedroom.Keywords: Hotel, Dynamic mass composition transformation, Aesthetics, Spatial comfort. Abstrak: Hotel adalah bangunan komersial dan keberhasilan desainnya berdampak sangat positif bagi peningkatan nilai jualnya. Umumnya bangunan hotel di kota atau city hotel dirancang berdasarkan teori form follow function agar ruang dalamnya berfungsi optimal, tetapi bentuk bangunan blok persegi yang terjadi cenderung terlihat monoton. Agar tampilan visualnya lebih menarik, melalui strategi transformasi gubahan massa hotel dibuat menjadi dinamis, maka timbul konsekuensi dimana dengan tata letak dan kelengkapan interior yang ada dapat terjadi kemungkinan berkurangnya kenyamanan spasial (ruang gerak) bagi pengguna. Hal lain yang harus diuji dari gubahan massa dinamis adalah nilai estetikanya ditinjau dari proporsi dan skala. Sebagai kasus studi penelitian, dipilih Hotel U Janevalla di Jl. Aceh No. 65 Bandung. Analisis dilakukan dengan cara komparatif antara kasus studi dengan teori, baik ditinjau dengan cara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Nilai manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah wawasan bagaimana pengaruh bentuk gubahan massa hotel yang dinamis terhadap nilai estetika dan kenyamanan spasial pengguna pada kamar tidur.Kata Kunci: Hotel, Transformasi gubahan massa dinamis, Estetika, Kenyamanan spasial.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh antara brand image dan experiential marketing sebagai variabel independen terhadap kepuasan pelanggan sebagai varibel dependen pada hotel OYO di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quantitative dengan responden 110 orang yang berusia 18 – 50 tahun. Kuesioner one-on-one diterapkan pada pelanggan hotel OYO yang pernah menginap minimal 1 kali di hotel OYO di Surabaya. Setelah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas indikator penelitian, maka dilakukan uji hipotesis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Instrumen penelitan berupa observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan skala likert. Hasil peenlitian menunjukkan bahwa citra merek tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen, tetapi berbeda dengan experiential marketing yang berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan konsumen. This study aims to research is there any influence between brand image and experiental marketing as independent variable to customer satisfaction as dependent variable in OYO Hotels in Surabaya. This study used quantitavie method and using 110 people as a respondents with a vulnerable age of 18-50 years. In the context of this field research, an one-on-one quistionnare has been applied on customer OYO hotels people who have stay at least 1 time in OYO Hotels in Surabaya. After testing the validation and reliability of the research indicators, a hypothesis test was conducted. The technique to analyse of this research was regression linier. Instrument this research are observation, interview, and questionniare that analyzed using likert scale This research’s result showed that brand image does not influence customer satisfaction, but the different result was founded thah experiential marketing influence significantly to customer satisfaction.

However, the density of development makes the availability of land in the city of Bandung to be limited, so some hotels have rooms with dimensions below the standard government proposals to be able to accommodate as many guests as possible.<br />This should be considered by hotel managers so that the limitations of this dimension do not reduce guests’ comfort. Therefore, this study aims to look for interior strategies that are applied to small dimension hotel rooms that can facilitate guest needs without sacrificing the comfort side. This research was carried out by a mixed method which included quantitative measurement of dimensions and qualitative observations of three<br />hotels in Bandung that were used as research objects, namely Yello Hotel, Kollektiv Hotel, and Summerbird Bed and Brasserie. The rapid development of tourism in Badung Regency requires the development and construction of accommodation facilities and other tourism supporting facilities.It is intended to support tourism and the tourists who visit Badung Regency. Based on the data of the Government of Badung Regency, there was an increased growth of tourism accommodation facilities in 2015 with the details as follows: 98 starred hotels, 885 budget hotels, and 38 condo hotels. A moratorium policy is required to control this very rapid development of construction of tourism accommodation facilities. The Government of Badung Regency follows up on this issue by issuingRegent’s Decree No. 36 year 2014 on Minimum Standards for Land Area, Room Area, And Supporting Facilities of Hotels and Condo Hotels. Furthermore, the problem is formulated as follows:What is the source of authority of Badung Regency to control the construction of tourism accommodation facilities? And what kind of policy is used to control the permit of construction of tourism accommodation facilities in Badung Regency? This research uses normative research method to study elements of law including norms, rules, principles of law, doctrines, and legislations. This research uses the statute approach and analytical and conceptual approach. The RTRW of Badung Regency mentions that the authority of the government of Badung Regency in the implementation of control of space utilization in Badung Regency includes arranging general provisions of Zoning Regulations, requirements of permit, provision of incentives and disincentives and guidance of sanctions. One of the permits that are applied to control the construction of tourism accommodation facilities is regulated in section 2 of Regent’s Decree No. 36 year 2014. Pesatnya perkembangan pariwisata di Kabupaten Badung, menuntut pula perkembangan dan pembangunan sarana akomodasi dan fasilitas-fasilitas penunjang pariwisata lainnya. Hal ini merupakan sebuah tujuan untuk mendukung pariwisata dan para wisatawan yang datang ke Kabupaten Badung. Menurut data Badung dalam angka tahun 2015 pertumbuhan sarana akomodasi pariwisata yaitu hotel bintang, hotel melati dan kondotel sampai tahun 2015 mengalami peningkatan pertumbuhan yang sangat pesat, pertumbuhan jumlah hotel bintang sampai tahun 2015 sebanyak 98 hotel, pertumbuhan jumlah hotel melati sampai tahun 2015 mencapai 885 hotel dan pertumbuhan jumlah kondotel sampai tahun 2015 mencapai 38 kondotel. Tingginya perkembangan pembangunan sarana akomodasi pariwisata, menuntut dikeluarkannya kebijakan moratorium untuk pengendalian pembangunan sarana akomodasi pariwisata. Untuk itu, Pemerintah Kabupaten Badung menindaklanjuti dengan kebijakan menerbitkan Peraturan Bupati (Perbup) Nomor 36 tahun 2014 tentang Standar minimal luas lahan dan luas kamar serta fasilitas penunjang hotel dan kondotel. Maka dari itu dirumuskan masalah: Apakah yang menjadi sumber kewenangan Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Badung dalam pengendalian pembangunan sarana akomodasi pariwisata? Dan Bagaimanakah kebijakan pengendalian perizinan pembangunan sarana akomodasi pariwisata di Kabupaten Badung?. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian normative yang merupakan penelitian mengenai substansi hukum yang terdiri dari norma, kaidah, asas-asas hukum, doktrin dan peraturan perundang-undangan. Dengan jenis pendekatan menggunakan: The Statute Approach and Analitical and Conceptual Approach. Dalam RTRW Kabupaten Badung disebutkan bahwa Kewenangan Pemerintah Kabupaten Badung dalam pelaksanaan pengendalian pemanfaatan ruang di wilayah Kabupaten Badung yaitu dengan menyusun ketentuan umum Peraturan Zonasi, ketentuan perizinan, ketentuan pemberian insentif dan disinsentif dan arahan sanksi. Salah satu perizinan yang diterapkan untuk pengendalian pembangunan sarana akomodasi pariwisata diatur dalam Pasal 2 Peraturan Bupati (Perbup) Nomor 36 tahun 2014.

There is the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on foreign and domestic tourist visits in Indonesia. The longer the COVID 19 pandemic, the more foreign and domestic tourists are postponing their visit to Indonesia due to the increasing number of Indonesians infected with COVID 19, the quality of personal protective equipment is not yet according to World Health Organization standards, incomplete hospital facilities in several cities in Indonesia, the limited number of doctors who treat the COVID 19 pandemic and the anti-COVID-19 vaccine has not been found. The decline in foreign and domestic tourism was also due to the temporary prohibition of foreign tourists from entering Indonesia and restrictions on domestic tourists from traveling to several cities and provinces in Indonesia, restrictions on the modes of air and sea transportation. There is the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on hotel occupancy rates in Indonesia. The longer the COVID 19 pandemic, the lower the occupancy rate of star hotels in Indonesia is due to restrictions on activities in public places or facilities, restrictions on transportation modes, hotel room prices, hotel service quality, and hotel facilities.

Abstrak
Terdapat pengaruh pandemik covid-19 terhadap kunjungan turis asing dan domestik di Indonesia. Semakin lama pandemic covid 19, maka semakin banyak turis asing dan domestik yang menunda kunjungannya ke Indonesia disebabkan karena semakin meningkatnya penduduk Indonesia yang terinfeksi covid 19, kualitas alat pelindung diri belum sesuai standar World Health Organization, belum lengkapnya fasilitas rumah sakit di beberapa kota di Indonesia, keterbatasan jumlah dokter yang menangani pandemic covid 19 dan vaksin anti covid-19 belum diketemukan. Penurunan turus asing dan domestik juga disebabkan karena pelarangan sementara turis asing masuk ke Indonesia dan pembatasan turis domestik berpergi ke beberapa kota dan provinsi di Indonesia, pembatasan moda transportasi udara dan laut. Terdapat pengaruh pandemik pandemik covid-19 terhadap tingkat hunian hotel di Indonesia. Semakin lama pandemik covid 19 berlangsung, maka semakin menurun tingkat hunian hotel bintang di Indonesia disebabkan karena pembatasan kegiatan di tempat atau fasilitas umum, pembatasan moda transportasi, harga kamar hotel, kualitas pelayanan hotel dan fasilitas hotel.

ABSTRACT Hotels have a strategic role in the development of the tourism industry. As one of the destinations for tourism, many hotels have sprung up in Yogyakarta. One of the factors that determine the quality of service to hotel guests is its employees. This study examines antesedent work performance of hotel employees. Some of the predictors used in the study were life satisfaction, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. This study uses the perspective of social exchange theory. The criteria for the research respondents were married hotel employees. Primary data collection lasts for two months. The number of questionnaires analyzed was 96. The first step is validity and reliability test. To test the validity, a comparison between r count values and r table is used. Whereas to test reliability used cronbach's alpha. From the results of the first validity test, it appears that there are several invalid research indicators. Furthermore, invalid indicators are removed from the testing process. After all the research indicators are declared valid and reliable, then proceed with multiple linear regression testing. In relation to the results of multiple linear regression testing, some items that observe are the adjusted R-square value, F statistical test, and statistical test t. The results showed that life satisfaction, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment affect employee performance. Sebagai salah satu tujuan wisata, banyak hotel bermunculan di Yogyakarta. Salah satu faktor yang menentukan kualitas layanan untuk tamu hotel adalah karyawannya. Penelitian ini meneliti kinerja kerja anteseden karyawan hotel. Beberapa prediktor yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepuasan hidup, kepuasan kerja, dan komitmen organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif teori pertukaran sosial. Kriteria untuk responden penelitian adalah karyawan hotel menikah. Pengumpulan data primer berlangsung selama dua bulan. Jumlah kuesioner yang dianalisis adalah 96. Langkah pertama, uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Untuk menguji validitas, perbandingan antara nilai-nilai hitung r dan tabel r digunakan. Sedangkan untuk menguji reliabilitas digunakan alpha cronbach. Dari hasil uji validitas pertama, tampak bahwa ada beberapa indikator penelitian yang tidak valid. Selain itu, indikator yang tidak valid dihapus dari proses pengujian. Setelah semua indikator penelitian dinyatakan valid dan dapat diandalkan, maka dilanjutkan dengan pengujian koefisien regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan hidup, kepuasan kerja, dan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kata kunci: kepuasan, komitmen, kinerja kerja

The roles that women perform as depicted in African films are often dictated to by the type of society they find themselves in. At first glance traditional societies can be seen as oppressive because of the presence of certain cultural practices. Alternatively modern urban settings appear to offer women authority and empowerment through employment. However, with a closer examination one sees that the situation is not so simplistic. Such is the case when certain traditional practices that are deemed oppressive through a Western perspective, are still found in urban societies. Films on the subject of African women have to be cautious not place their characters in stereotypical roles. Therefore, it is not enough to merely portray African women as ‘oppressed’. African films that engage in a feminist critique need to present ‘realistic’ portrayals of African women. Such characters are layered and complex. The film Faat Kine (2000) depicts such a character in the authoritative protagonist Kine. The film La Vie est Belle (1987) examines the issue of polygamous marriages and patriarchy from the point of view of two African women living in France. Touki Bouki (1973) examines two young characters living in Senegal and questions the possibility of escape from ones circumstances. Traditional practices such as polygamous marriages are explored in Xala (1975), and Finzan (1989) explores cultural practices such as forced marriages and female circumcision. This treatise will consider women and work in both traditional society and urban settings. African feminism will also be investigated for the purpose of exploring common social perceptions of women in Africa.

This work aims at verifying through the analysis of the novels La mala vida, by Venezuelan writer Salvador Garmendia, and Hotel Atlântico, from Brazilian João Gilberto Noll, which are the possible structural and thematic changes the novel has been going through in order to represent contemporary human experiences. To do so, the analysis parameters were the narrator-character category and the time-space coordinates, as well as the relationship
between the novel s characters, those two parameters and the other characters in the stories. The analysis made suggest the novel has been going through a transformation process, which meets the progressive diminishing of the representation of an experience, which is registered
in La mala vida and is very highlighted in Hotel Atlântico. This happens because in the La mala vida the experience figures through the existential fragments inherent to the narrator s life, while in the Hotel Atlântico novel, the experience is non-existent because the protagonist cannot convert its experiences. Thus, it is concluded that, in order to represent contemporary
social and human practices, the novel seems to abdicate its main component, the representation of an experience, and consequently it does not tend to have a role in human
existence.Neste trabalho, procura-se verificar, através da análise das obras La mala vida, do escritor venezuelano Salvador Garmendia, e Hotel Atlântico, do brasileiro João Gilberto Noll, quais as possíveis mudanças estruturais e temáticas que o romance vem registrando para representar as experiências humanas contemporâneas. Para tanto, serviram como parâmetros de análise, em ambas as narrativas, a categoria narrador-protagonista, as coordenadas de tempo e espaço, bem como a relação dos protagonistas das referidas obras com estas coordenadas e com as demais personagens. As análises sugerem que o romance vem apresentando um processo de transformação, que coincide com a mingua progressiva da representação de uma experiência, declínio que se registra em La mala vida e que se encontra bem acentuado em Hotel Atlântico. Isto porque em La mala vida a experiência é figurada através dos fragmentos existenciais inerentes à vida do narrador, enquanto que em Hotel Atlântico a experiência parece ser nula, pois o protagonista não consegue converter suas vivências em experiência. Assim, conclui-se que, para representar as práticas sociais e humanas da contemporaneidade, o romance parece abdicar de seu principal componente, a representação de uma experiência, e consequentemente tende a não desempenhar mais uma função na existência humana.

Corporate rebranding has been an increasing practice among several businesses and organizations that want to increase market share and capital returns. This study explores those kind of marketing strategies especially in the hotel industry. The aim of this investigation is to understand the effects of Pestana Hotel Group rebranding on brand equity constructs and realize if there was significant improvements on brand experience, brand loyalty, brand awareness, and perceived quality. The assessment focus on logo‟s change and it based on public‟s perspective. The results revealed not only a significant attachment towards the old Pestana‟s brand logo from the customers, but also the fact that the new slogan had more impact than the new logo. There was also a contained reaction from the public to the new logo, minimizing potential improvements on perceived brand experience and brand awareness. The study contributes to the limited rebranding literature, specifically in Portugal, as well as to companies or management/ marketing students who are looking for practical information about rebranding processes and key factors for successful brand changes.O rebranding corporativo tem sido uma práctica crescente no seio de muitas empresas que procuram aumentar o seu valor no mercado e o volume de receitas. A presente tese-projecto examina este tipo de estratégias de marketing tendo como base o caso do rebranding da marca Pestana Hotel Group. O propósito desta investigação é reconhecer e explorar os efeitos da mudança no valor da marca e nos seus constructos, identificando potenciais benefícios para a experiência da marca, para sua notoriedade e lealdade. As perceções dos consumidores e do público, em geral, são usadas nesta investigação como ferramenta principal para análise estatística. Os resultados denunciaram não só a existência de um forte elo entre o público e o antigo logo da marca Pestana, mas também o facto de o novo slogan ter tido um impacto maior do que o próprio logo. A reacção face ao novo logo foi, aliás, bastante contida por parte do público, tendo pouco impacto positivo na percepção da experiência de marca do grupo e na sua notoriedade. Para além do acrescento à reduzida literatura (sobretudo em Portugal), estes resultados direcionam-se também para empresas e estudantes de marketing que procuram informação sobre o processo de rebranding e os factores chave para o seu sucesso.

Within the scope of the rehabilitation of the Ferrazes Palace into a hotel unit, whose implementation encompassed two buildings, one facing Rua das Flores (Palácio) and the other facing Rua da Vitória, as well as the existing space between them, we present a short description about the occupation of the second building. This characterization is elaborated based on the archaeological monitoring of the dismantling / demolition of the existing building, combined with the data collected during the archaeological excavation and complemented with some documentary sources that made it possible to reconstruct the old stable dated from the XIX century, ordered to be built by Domingos Oliveira Maia, as well as previous occupations dating from the 17th / 18th centuries.

Introdução: O Wiki Aves (WA) é uma plataforma online onde voluntários compartilham registros fotográficos, sonoros e informativos da avifauna a nível nacional, promovendo o birdwatching e a ciência cidadã. Objetivo: Conhecer a fauna de aves registrada até o momento para o município de São Miguel das Missões - RS. Materiais e Métodos: Realizou-se um censo dos registros inseridos pelos usuários no WA, abrangendo o período de janeiro de 2008 (quando o site foi ao ar) a maio de 2021, por meio do sítio www.wikiaves.com.br. Resultados: Obteve-se um total de 1.208 registros para o período consultado, sendo de 221 espécies de aves, distribuídas em 25 ordens e 56 famílias. Dentre esses registros, 1.057 são fotográficos e 151 são sonoros. A ordem mais abundante foi Passeriformes (46%), seguida de Charadriiformes (7%). As famílias com maior riqueza de espécies foram Tyrannidae (n=30); Thraupidae (n=21); Icteridae (n=11) e Furnariidae (n=10). Como espécies mais frequentes, obteve-se: Athene cunicularia (3,73%), Myiopsitta monachus (2,15%), Ictinia plumbea (1,57%); Paroaria coronata (1,49%) e Furnarius rufus (1,49%). Os meses do ano com maior concentração de registros foram setembro (n=287) e fevereiro (n=262), coincidindo com o período reprodutivo das aves e com a realização de eventos ornitológicos na cidade, bem como com a época turística. Das espécies encontradas, quatro estão quase ameaçadas de extinção (Euphonia chalybea; Piculus aurulentus; Polioptila lactea; Rhea americana) e uma vulnerável (Amazona pretrei). Foram identificados dez pontos de observação, onde se distribuem 42,6% dos registros, destacando-se a Fazenda São Pedro (n=168), o Sítio Histórico São Miguel Arcanjo (n=110), o Tenondé Park Hotel (n=100), a Agropecuária Sfalcin (n=70) e a Fazenda Estância Velha (n=42). A distribuição dos registros parece estar relacionada aos pontos turísticos da cidade e às propriedades dos dois observadores de aves locais, cadastrados na plataforma. Além de aves generalistas, foram registradas espécies em declínio populacional; localmente migratórias; associadas a áreas alagadas, campestres e de Mata Atlântica. Conclusão: Constatou-se um potencial ornitológico importante para o município de São Miguel das Missões, o qual pode ser melhor explorado por meio do turismo ecológico e da educação ambiental, grandes aliados na conservação da biodiversidade local.
