Human respiratory syncytial virus is the main cause of respiratory infections in infants. Several HRSV genotypes have been described. Goals. To describe the main genotypes that caused infections in São Paulo (2013–2015) and to analyze their clinical/epidemiological features. Methods. 94 infants (0–6 months) with bronchiolitis were studied. Clinical/epidemiological information was collected; a search for 16 viruses in nasopharyngeal secretion (PCR-real-time and conventional, sequencing, and phylogenetic analyses) was performed. Results. The mutations defined five different genes called HRS for hyper-recombination suppression. They suppress the hyper-deletion phenotype of hpr1 delta strains for three direct repeat systems tested. There are many variations in the design and operating conditions for HRSG units. In some cases, these conditions promote certain failure mechanisms. Abstract Pervasive tube failures in heat-recovery steam generators (HRSG) have severely impacted performance and efficiency. Several fundamental failure mechanisms have been identified and their metallurgical causes are well understood. However, current practice to increase the thermal efficiency and flexibility of HRSG operations has contributed to these tube failures. Substantial rises in flue gas temperature, units designed for base load operation switched to cyclic load units, and more aggressive start-up loading rates are just some of the constant demands placed on HRSG’s. Abstract:
