Wood is our most important renewable resource. We need better quality and quantity both according to the wood itself and the processes that are using wood as a raw material. Hence, the understanding of the chemical composition of the wood is of high importance. The combination of NMR and multivariate analyses (MVA) is a powerful method for these analyses but so far it has been limited mainly to 1D NMR. Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is a double stranded DNA virus that causes epithelial skin infections and persists through the life of the host by infecting neurons, where it can switch to a latent state to evade an immune response. Abstract:

Abstract:
Evolutionarily conserved Pumilio (Pum) RNA-binding proteins act as translational repressors during embryo development and cell fate specification. Previous work in the lab has shown that over-expression of Pum2 (Pum2-EML) supports maintenance and suppresses mutilineage differentiation of murine multipotent HSC/MPP-like cell line EML. The subsequent analysis of HSC markers and functional analysis has revealed that wt EML cells share the LKS CD34 positive phenotype, whereas the majority Pum2-EML cells are similar to LKS CD34 negative. The CD34 positive wt EML cells can be divided into CD34low, C
